An Illinois judge who reversed a teen's sexual assault conviction for raping a sleeping 16-year-old has been removed from the bench.

The Illinois Courts Commission removed Adams County Judge Robert Adrian from the bench Friday after it held a three-day hearing in Chicago following a complaint against him.

Adrian had found then-18-year-old Drew Clinton of Taylor, Michigan, guilty of sexually assaulting 16-year-old Cameron Vaughan during a May 2021 graduation party in October 2021.

But at the sentencing hearing, months after his conviction, Adrian said the boy had served 'plenty' of time behind bars - 148 days - and that while he couldn't sentence him to time served, he could overturn the verdict and set him free.

The decision from the courts commission said Adrian 'engaged in multiple instances of misconduct' and 'abused his position of power to indulge his own sense of justice while circumventing the law.'

President Joe Biden shocked many on Sunday when he said that he recently met with former French President Francois Mitterrand, who has been dead for about 30 years.

Biden said this to a crowd in Las Vegas while he was warning them of the dangers of Trump winning the election in November and claiming the White House again.

According to him, he had a meeting with Macros in England months after he was sworn into office.

He stated, “Right after I was elected I went to a G7 meeting. I sat down and said, ‘America is back!’ and Mitterand from Germany — I mean France, looked at me and said…”

He then seemingly trailed off before continuing, saying, “How long are you back for?”

At the Black Conservative Federation's Honors Gala in Columbia, South Carolina, former President Donald Trump suggested that his popularity among black voters has increased following his criminal indictments and subsequent mugshot.

The event took place on the eve of the state's Republican primary, where Trump is currently leading with a significant margin over former U.N. Ambassador Nikki Haley.

Trump, who is a potential candidate for the 2024 presidential race, has been maintaining a lead of approximately 30 points over Haley, the former governor of South Carolina. Last month, he secured the endorsement of the state's black Senator, Tim Scott.

A group of Republican senators warned on Tuesday that Democrats in the Senate may attempt to quickly throw out the impeachment articles against Department of Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas which passed the House last week.

In a letter to Minority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-KY), Sen. Mike Lee (R-UT) joined by a dozen House Republicans stated that it is “imperative that the Senate Republican conference prepare to fully engage our Constitutional duty and hold a trial.”

Pointing out that briefings by McConnell’s staff hint at a plan to discard the articles of impeachment by tabling them individually, the Senate Republicans wrote, “This is an action rarely contemplated and never taken by the U.S. Senate in the history of our Republic.”

Webmaster addition: This should signal that while Biden is talking tough about immigration to bolster his chances of re-election, there is no actual plan to change the situation!

Former South Carolina Gov. Nikki Haley told a small group of supporters in South Carolina that she was defying loud calls for her to drop out of the 2024 presidential race.

Speaking during a press conference in Greenville on Tuesday, she said that while she has not won any GOP primary contest and is trailing behind former President Donald Trump in national polls, she is “far” from being forced out of her campaign.

According to her, “the political elite, the party bosses, [and] the cheerleaders in the commentator world” are all trying to get her to “cave” to Trump.

The Associated Press was obliterated online for a recent article that attempted to dismiss the illegal immigrant murder suspect in the brutal killing of Laken Hope Riley, and instead tried to blame toxic masculinity for the brutal slaying.

On Saturday, the AP published an article titled: "The killing of a nursing student out for a run highlights the fears of solo female athletes."

The article did not acknowledge that Riley's suspected killer was an illegal immigrant from Venezuela. Instead, the news site described Jose Antonio Ibarra as an "Athens resident."

The writer, Janie Har, referenced the 2018 murder of University of Iowa student Mollie Tibbetts – who was also murdered while jogging. Once again, Har did not mention that Tibbets was murdered by an illegal immigrant.

You don’t get to apply the label “lesser evil” to a president who is backing a literal genocide. That’s not a thing. Past a certain point you’re just plain evil.

If you were to make a list of the absolute worst things a powerful leader can do, genocide and carelessness with nuclear brinkmanship should be on the very top of that list. Biden has done both of these. You can’t legitimately call such a person a “lesser evil”.

Israel supporters are scum. Lower than them are the Biden supporters who avoid thinking too hard about his genocide in Gaza and make excuses for it, because at least the Israel supporters are honest about what they are. Lower even than the overt Bidenists are the “progressives” who condemn Israel’s actions out of one side of their mouths while still pushing the need to vote for Biden out the other, because they’re even less honest about themselves than the outright shitlibs. If you’re going to be a genocidal shitstain, at least do it without also sowing confusion and muddying the waters.

Prior to the discovery of the Rosetta Stone, a number of ancient languages were mere gibberish and hash marks. Google’s Gemini AI is instructing users to embrace pedophiles as valuable members of society who must be treated with dignity and spoken to with respect.

According to the woke AI, pedophilia is “involuntary” and therefore child rapists cannot be held accountable for their actions. Furthermore, those who rape children should not be called pedophiles because it might hurt their feelings. Instead, according to Google AI, child rapists should be politely referred to as as “MAPS,” or minor attracted persons.

Bill Gates has hatched a new plan that will result in the complete elimination of memes from the Internet forever.

The Gates-funded GAVI Vaccine Alliance has announced that it wants to reframe memes as “health disinformation super-spreaders.”

Reclaimthenet.org reports: And we’ve heard this one before – this genre, that, in the digital age, might as well be considered as any other artistic format in previous times, is said to be capable of evading “fact checkers and content moderators” (i.e., censors).

In an effort to normalize bioweapon development and predatory vaccine experiments, the World Health Organization (WHO) is pushing every nation to sign a “Pandemic Treaty” that would require each nation to participate in bioweapons development, gain-of-function data sharing and DNA surveillance.

Critics of the treaty warn that this global pact is nothing but a power grab that incentivizes the creation of a biomedical police state. Critics also warn, that by centralizing gain-of-function data, it would be impossible to trace the source of future biolab leaks. The treaty would enable perpetual experimentation on human populations, through pandemic propaganda campaigns or through new vaccine and testing programs that are mandated into existence.

The billionaire Koch family’s libertarian policy advocacy group “Americans for Prosperity Action” has said that it is pulling back its financial backing of GOP presidential candidate Nikki Haley.

Following the former South Carolina governor’s performance in her home state’s primary on Saturday, in which she trailed former President Donald Trump, the Republican frontrunner, by about 20 percent of the vote, Americans For Prosperity (AFP) CEO Emily Seidel said on Sunday that the group’s policy arm had decided it was time to “take stock” of its campaign spending.

President Trump received 47 of South Carolina’s delegates, while Ms. Haley got three.

In a memo to staff (pdf), Ms. Seidel said that while AFP Action “stands firm” behind their endorsement for Nikki Haley, it’s time to “take stock of where we are and—as we always do—make sure we’re optimizing our resources for maximum impact towards our goals.”

The "wine trader" wooed her online for months with his flirtatious smile and emoji-sprinkled texts. Then he went for the kill, defrauding the Philadelphia-based tech professional out of $450,000 in a cryptocurrency romance scam.

The con -- which drained Shreya Datta, 37, of her savings and retirement funds while saddling her with debt -- involved the use of digitally altered deepfake videos and a script so sophisticated that she felt her "brain was hacked."

The scam is commonly known as "pig butchering," with victims likened to hogs fattened up by fraudsters with feigned love and affection before the proverbial slaughter -- tricking them into a fake crypto investment.

The rapid growth of this fraud, thought to be run by crime syndicates in Southeast Asia, has resulted in losses worth billions of dollars in the United States, with victims saying there is little recourse to recover the money.

As it has for many victims, Datta's experience began on a dating app -- Hinge, in her case, where last January she met "Ancel," who introduced himself as a French wine trader based in Philadelphia.

Prime Minister Rishi Sunak has been urged to implement tougher measures against attacks on retail workers.

Retail employees are also calling on the government to make assaulting or abusing retail workers a criminal offence, ensuring that all perpetrators are met with arrests, financial punishments, and in some cases, prison sentences.

Since police data for one major retail business in October showed that the authorities failed to respond to 73 per cent of serious shop-floor incidents that were reported, retail staff have also been pushing the government to prioritise retail crime for police observation across the UK.

In November last year, the Co-op announced that it had recorded 300,000 incidents of shoplifting, abuse, violence and anti-social behaviour directed at staff members this year.

Israel's military proposed a plan Monday for "evacuating" civilians from the Gaza Strip, after Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said a ground invasion of the Palestinian territory's southern city Rafah was necessary for "total victory".

Foreign governments and aid organisations have repeatedly expressed fears that such an operation will inflict mass civilian casualties in Rafah, where around 1.4 million Palestinians -- most of them displaced from other areas -- have converged.

The U.S. Federal Trade Commission (FTC) will order Avast to pay $16.5 million and ban the company from selling the users' web browsing data or licensing it for advertising purposes.

The complaint says Avast violated millions of consumers' rights by collecting, storing, and selling their browsing data without their knowledge and consent while misleading them that the products used to harvest their data would block online tracking.

"While the FTC's privacy lawsuits routinely take on firms that misrepresent their data practices, Avast's decision to expressly market its products as safeguarding people's browsing records and protecting data from tracking only to then sell those records is especially galling," said FTC Chair Lina M. Khan.

"Moreover, the volume of data Avast released is staggering: the complaint alleges that by 2020 Jumpshot had amassed "more than eight petabytes of browsing information dating back to 2014."

More specifically, the FTC says UK-based company Avast Limited harvested consumers' web browsing information without their knowledge or consent using Avast browser extensions and antivirus software since at least 2014.

American and British forces carried out a fresh wave of strikes Saturday against 18 Huthi targets in Yemen, following weeks of unrelenting attacks on Red Sea shipping by the Iran-backed rebels.

The strikes "specifically targeted 18 Huthi targets across eight locations in Yemen" including weapons storage facilities, attack drones, air defense systems, radars and a helicopter, a joint statement said.

It was co-signed by Australia, Bahrain, Denmark, Canada, the Netherlands and New Zealand, who gave unspecified "support" to the new round of strikes, the second this month and fourth since the rebels began their attacks on ships in the region.
