"Once a government is committed to the principle of silencing the voice of opposition, it has only one way to go, and that is down the path of increasingly repressive measures, until it becomes a source of terror to all its citizens and creates a country where everyone lives in fear.” -- President Harry S. Truman

U.S. and Philippine officials conducted live-fire military drills designed to train troops to repel a maritime attack amid a series of confrontations with China‘s forces in the disputed waters of the South China Sea.

“We are simulating a threat coming from the sea to our shorelines so we are using our multi-domain capabilities to defend our sovereignty,” Philippine Marine Corps Brig. Gen. Romulo Quemado, Jr., told reporters, per the South China Morning Post.

The live-fire drills involved a pair of High Mobility Artillery Rocket Systems, or HIMARS, a U.S.-made ground-based artillery system that has gained international fame during the war in Ukraine, where they have played a crucial role in striking Russian targets in flat eastern Ukrainian fields. In the Philippines, however, the latest drills showcased their ability to strike targets in the South China Sea, a vital waterway China has claimed as its sovereign territory, in defiance of an international court ruling in favor of the Philippines.

“For our HIMARS, what we do is we work as a close part of that combined joint task force to really look at potential adversaries,” U.S. Army Brig. Gen. Bernard Harrington, commander of the 1st Multi-Domain Task Force, told reporters. “We look at protecting the sovereignty here.”

That explanation could not fail to evoke the thought of a clash with China. The live-fire exercise, which occurred Thursday as part of a major annual military exercise unfolding between April 22 and May 8, took place amid a chorus of Philippine complaints about the latest confrontation between Chinese and Philippine vessels in the South China Sea, an incident this week in which a pair of Chinese coast guard vessels used high-powered water cannons against a Philippine coast guard vessel, and damaged another government agency’s vessel trying to deliver supplies to Filipino fishermen.

Claire's Observations:  This is REALLY GOING to calm things down here, right?!?

But folks, please remember one thing that might be provoking the "trigger-happiness" of By-di-Bye's Administration;  historically, the American people have never changed parties during an election, in the middle of a war.  And no matter how much carnage a war against China would cause (and they are light-years ahead of the US in their weaponry) this may well be a factor in their provoking China in this way.

The organizers of the 2024 Paris Olympics denying Russian volunteers the right to serve at the upcoming Summer Games is outright discrimination, Russian Presidential Spokesman Dmitry Peskov said on Thursday.

"It [the act of discrimination] is obvious, there's no other way to look at it," he told journalists in response to a question about whether Russian volunteers were being discriminated against.

"We can only express regret, because among the fans, among the guests of the Olympics there will be a lot of Russian-speaking people, there will be a lot of Russian people - they live in other countries, but they will come to France," Peskov stated.

Webmaster addition: The original Olympics were totally apolitical. When the Olympics were held, warring nations would put down their arms while competing. The current trend of politicizing the Olympics betrays the true spirit of the games.

Ukrainian President Vladimir Zenesky’s team will be severely punished wherever they might be, Viktor Medvedchuk, leader of the Other Ukraine movement and former head of the Opposition Platform - For Life party (outlawed in Ukraine), said.

"The Zelensky gang, his closest mates, their accomplices and those who committed crimes against civilians who were burnt to death in Odessa, and those whose criminal actions entailed thousands of deaths in the course of hostilities must be severely punished. They should receive just punishment no matter which country they may be staying," said in an interview with TASS dedicated to the 10th anniversary of the Odessa tragedy.

Russia is not going to participate in the conference on Ukraine in Switzerland, planned in June, or in any other events on Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky's ‘peace formula’, Foreign Ministry Spokeswoman Maria Zakharova said in a commentary.

"The Swiss organizers of the conference are openly spinning the facts. Russia is not going to participate either in the first so-called summit in Switzerland, or basically in any events promoting the ultimatum-like ‘Zelensky's formula’. Even if we will be persistently invited to such forums," Zakharova said, commenting on Switzerland's statement that at this stage Russia was not invited to the June ‘peace conference’ on Ukraine.

The diplomat emphasized that Switzerland cannot serve as a platform for a settlement dialogue. "This country has lost its neutral status, its ability to be a mediator. It has sided with the Kiev regime, actively supports it, takes an anti-Russian position, imposes sanctions against us, adopts strategies that exclude Russia from the system of European security," she said.

Pseudo-advocates campaigning for religious freedom in the United States hypocritically ignore the Ukrainian authorities' repression against the canonical Ukrainian Orthodox Church, the Russian embassy has said in a commentary on its Telegram channel.

"American pseudo-advocates of religious freedom outspokenly ignore the harsh and inhuman repression of the [Ukrainian President Vladimir] Zelensky's regime against the followers of the canonical Ukrainian Orthodox Church," the Russian embassy said. Instead of condemning Kiev's illegal actions such pseudo-activists are pointing to Russia’s special military operation as an excuse.

In early March, President Biden and the Democrats called for the "Unity of all Americans."

Fast forward to the Marxist revolution spreading like stage four cancer at the nation's colleges and universities, anti-Israel and counter-protesters found common ground, or perhaps a glimpse of solidarity, when both sides were heard chanting "F**K Joe Biden" this week at the University of Alabama.

"It finally happened. Joe managed to get both sides of the protest to hate him for different reasons," X user Alex The Ghost wrote.

President Biden chose a strange moment to lash out at allies and humiliate them, given his administration is busy trying to build international consensus against Russia as it continues the war in Ukraine, and on sensitive flashpoint issues like the Israel-Hamas conflict.

On Wednesday Biden called Japan and India 'xenophobic' during off-camera remarks at a campaign fundraiser in D.C. He included these longtime US allies in the controversial statement alongside Washington rivals and enemies China and Russia.

The U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) this month approved a biotech firm’s plan to genetically engineer soybeans to produce a “plant-grown” meat protein the company calls Piggy Sooy.

Luxembourg-based Moolec Science is genetically modifying soybeans to produce porcine myoglobin, a pig protein. The end product is a “blended meat,” which is part plant, part animal.

The company, a subsidiary of the Argentine biotech group Bioceres, is also developing a yellow pea plant that produces beef protein.

Moolec’s patented technology — which the company calls molecular farming — splices pig genes into a conventional soybean. The resulting soybeans are a pink fleshy color inside and the company claims they contain 26.6% animal protein.

Martin Salinas, Moolec’s co-founder and chief of technology, said in a press release that the approval sets the stage for another food biotech “revolution” that is “paving the way for expedited adoption of Molecular Farming technology by other industry players.”

But Brian Hooker, Ph.D., chief scientific officer for Children’s Health Defense (CHD), called the technology “a nightmare in the making.”

Hooker told The Defender:

“To reduce the complexities of porcine meat into a single protein (myosin) which is the only pork protein produced by the Franken-beans is completely myopic. This is not a pork replacement, it is a recombinant myosin production factory.

“Consumers would therefore be eating a novel substance requiring extensive testing and would require something far beyond what FDA [U.S. Food and Drug Administration] does routinely for GM [genetically modified] food.”

John Fagan, Ph.D., co-founder, CEO and chief scientist of Health Research Institute, told The Defender there is always a very real and serious concern that there will be unanticipated and unpredictable side effects associated with GM foods.

This product is particularly concerning, he said because, “Until now most GM foods fed to humans have been a minor ingredient within a product, whereas here the GM ingredient will be the primary ingredient. So people who eat it will eat much larger amounts of GM foods than they’ve eaten in the past.”

Claire's Observations:  Hey, what could possibly go wrong with this Frankenfood- except everything?!?

Palestinian armed factions have once again stepped up attacks on remaining Israeli troops in the central Gaza Strip and other parts of the besieged enclave.

On April 30, the al-Quds Brigades, the military wing of the Palestinian Islamic Jihad, released video footage of a rocket attack against gatherings and positions of the Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) in the so-called Netzarim Corridor, a 6.8 kilometers-long Israeli-occupied belt that stretches from the Be’eri area in southern Israel to Gaza’s coast and splits the Strip in half.

The group said that the attack was carried out in cooperation with the Abu Ali Mustafa Brigades, the military wing of the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine.

The Islamic Resistance in Iraq (IRI), an umbrella group of Iranian-backed armed factions, has launched two drone attacks against what it described as vital Israel targets.

Late on May 1, the IRI said in a statement that it had attacked a “vital target” in the Israeli-occupied Syrian Golan Heights. And early on May 2, it announced in a separate statement another attack on a “vital target” in the southernmost Israeli city of Eilat.

The attacks were carried out in response to Israel’s “massacres” against Palestinian civilians in the Gaza Strip, according to the group’s statements.

There were reports of drone infiltration warnings or interceptions over the Golan Heights or Eilat in Hebrew media. However, this does not mean that the attacks failed as the Israeli military has the power to censor all news on attacks and security incidents.

Al-Ashtar Brigades, a little known Iran-linked Shiite armed group in Bahrain, said on May 2 that it was responsible for a recent drone attack on the southernmost Israeli city of Eilat.

The attack, which took place on April 27, targeted the headquarters of the Trucknet land shipping company in Eilat, the group said in a statement, adding that the attack was carried out in support of the Palestinian cause and the resistance in the Gaza Strip.

“The Islamic resistance in Bahrain affirms that it will continue to move and support our patient people in resilient Gaza and that it will not stop its operations until the Zioniest aggression on Gaza is over,” the group concluded.

Al-Ashtar Brigades first surfaced in 2013, two years after the Bahraini government crushed the 2011 Shitte uprising in the country.

High-Ranking NATO military officers were killed last night by  2 Iskander missile strikes launched against the Warehouse they were meeting in.

The two massive explosions also took out newly-arrived American military hardware, destined for the Ukrainian Army.

The Novaya Pochta warehouse in Odessa is seen burning in the image above, after the missiles struck.

Casualties are considered "very high" given the number of Ambulances and nearby NATO helicopters apparently sent to evacuate the wounded -- or dead.

Israel has warned the US that it will punish the Palestinian Authority and cause its collapse if the International Criminal Court (ICC) issues arrest warrants for the Jewish state’s leaders, Axios reported on Thursday.

Several media outlets reported last month that the ICC could charge Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and several other top-ranking officials with war crimes over the ongoing military campaign against Hamas in Gaza.

Israel launched its massive offensive following the October 7 attack by the radical group, which claimed the lives of around 1,200 Israelis. The response by the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) in the densely populated Palestinian enclave has come under increasing scrutiny and has been widely criticized – even by the country’s US and European allies.

The French threat to potentially deploy troops in Ukraine is necessary as a “strategic wake up call for my counterparts,” President Emmanuel Macron has claimed. He also repeated his assertion that Russia should not be allowed to win in the conflict.

The French leader reiterated his attempt to use a “strategic ambiguity” approach to the situation by maintaining that the option of deploying troops was on the table. He first made the suggestion after hosting an international meeting on Ukraine in February.

“If Russia wins in Ukraine, there will be no security in Europe,” Macron stated in an interview with The Economist, published on Thursday.

“I’m not ruling anything out, because we are facing someone who is not ruling anything out,” he told the magazine, referring to Russian President Vladimir Putin.

Executive summary:  Steve Kitsch Via Epoch Times:

An Epoch Times story released today revealed that the CDC deliberately lied to the public about the safety of the COVID vaccines. When asked about the deaths, the CDC lied to the public and falsely claimed that they had no evidence that the COVID vaccines have killed anyone.

The CDC lied. People died.

The evidence is crystal clear that the COVID vaccines are causing massive damage to people’s hearts and brains.

In this article, I’ll show you the evidence for afib and aortic aneurysms which are two important side effects that are obviously caused by the COVID vaccine and, just like death, are being ignored by the CDC.

The key part of the story

“U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) officials found evidence that the Pfizer-BioNTech and Moderna COVID-19 vaccines caused multiple deaths before claiming that there was no evidence linking the vaccines to any deaths, The Epoch Times has learned.

CDC employees worked to track down information on reported post-vaccination deaths and learned that myocarditis—or heart inflammation, a confirmed side effect of the vaccines—was listed on death certificates and in autopsies for some of the deaths, according to an internal file obtained by The Epoch Times.

Despite the findings, most of which were made by the end of 2021, the CDC claimed that it had seen no signs linking the Moderna and Pfizer messenger RNA (mRNA) vaccines to any deaths reported to the Vaccine Adverse Event Reporting System (VAERS).”

Wow. “Seen no signs.”

Are they blind?

In other words… if they don’t agree with the evidence, they simply claim it does not exist

The CDC had evidence the vaccines were killing people but they convinced themselves that these were just coincidences and not related to the vaccine.

So, in the CDC’s view, when young healthy people simply drop dead unexpectedly in their sleep within 24 hours after getting the COVID shot, that would not be considered to be any evidence that the vaccine might have killed them.

It’s fair to say that their statements about not having any evidence were simply false and misleading.

They should have said “We have evidence that hundreds of people have died from the vaccine, but we don’t believe any of it” which would at least be more accurate.

I spoke to the Epoch Times reporter who wrote the story. He was never able to speak with anyone at the CDC live. It was all via email. These people are all afraid of a live interview.

The death of the son of a prominent physician

VAERS recently started an investigation into this death which was first reported to VAERS 3 years ago (and re-reported because the original never appeared in the system).

His father is a very prominent and capable physician at one of the top medical schools in the country. His father is 100% certain the COVID vaccine killed his son, but he’s not speaking out publicly about it.

I was on the phone with a VAERS investigator who was investigating this “high priority” report that was filed 3 years ago.

She admitted they are understaffed but “catching up.”

OK, so they’re basically 3 years behind in investigating the highest priority deaths to determine whether they were caused by a vaccine or not.

This particular death was a perfectly healthy 52-year man with no comorbidities who died in his sleep just 5 days after his first dose.

He got a first dose of Pfizer, felt horrible, had a heart attack on the day of the shot and was sicker than a dog after that. He died 5 days later from an aortic aneurysm.

From the VAERS report:

“The HCP explained that 3 months after his father got injured from the vaccine, the son of doctor 2, who was young and healthy, decided to get the vaccine despite his dad having cardiac issues and then he had a heart attack that day and died five days later.”

His father had afib right after his first shot. He had an ablation to fix the afib. He was urged to get a second shot and developed afib immediately after the second shot.

Do you see a pattern here? Shot—> afib, Shot —> afib.

The CDC doesn’t see a connection. They think this is just a coincidence.

Bottom line: This death was caused by the COVID vaccine, but the father and mother won’t speak publicly about it

Twenty five years ago this week, NATO bombed Montenegro’s main airport. It came amid airstrikes on Yugoslav forces in Kosovo,  where Bill Clinton and Tony Blair waged a “humanitarian intervention” ostensibly to save ethnic Albanians from Serb leader Slobodan Milosevic.

Yet a 61-year-old woman, Paska Juncaj, was killed in the strikes on Montenegro’s capital Podgorica, which lasted for 24 hours.

“Shrapnel hit her in the head while she was on the way to an air raid shelter with her son,” a hospital official told Reuters.

Three others were injured – one seriously – and two houses destroyed after a cluster bomb missed its target.

Bombing Montenegro at all was controversial, because the country was friendly to NATO.

The top United Nations court on Tuesday overwhelmingly rejected Nicaragua's request for an emergency order directing Germany to halt arms sales to Israel as it wages what the tribunal previously called a "plausibly" genocidal war against Palestinians in Gaza.

International Court of Justice (ICJ) judges voted 15-1 against the Nicaraguan motion, finding an absence of legal conditions for issuing an order blocking Germany from selling arms to Israel.

"Based on the factual information and legal arguments presented by the parties, the court concludes that, at present, the circumstances are not such as to require the exercise of its power... to indicate provisional measures," ICJ President Nawaf Salam wrote in the ruling.

Source: Turkey stopped all trade with Israel as of Thursday, according to two Turkish officials familiar with the matter, adding to already high-running tensions between the once-close allies over the war in Gaza. The move expands last month’s restriction on some Turkish exports to Israel, as President Recep Tayyip Erdogan steps up criticism of the Jewish state and tries to consolidate support among conservative voters at home. Ankara hasn’t formally announced the suspension and it wasn’t clear under what conditions trade would resume. Trade between the countries was worth $6.8 billion in 2023, of which 76% was Turkish exports, according to the Turkish statistical institute. “This is the behavior of a dictator who tramples the interests of the Turkish people and business community, while ignoring international trade agreements.” Israel’s Foreign Minister Israel Katz said in a post on X. The Israeli government will work to create immediate alternatives for trade with Turkey by increasing local manufacturing and finding other suppliers, he said. Turkey’s biggest export to Israel in 2023 was iron and steel. It’s biggest import was refined oil products, according to the Turkish statistical institute.

Claire's Observations: Foreign Minister Katz, you are characterizing Erdogan's move here as "...The behaviour of a dictator..."?!? So would you please tell me why the genocide of thousands of Gazans, courtesy of the IDF, is NOT "...the behaviour of a dictator...."?!? Sorry, Foreign Minister Katz, apparently you didn't get the memo that the Israel genocide of Palestinians is a war crime. And my brother and sister Americans, please remember; upon Biden's signing the AAA, the posting of, and commenting on such stories, will be prohibited under US law.

Over the past several decades, America’s culture has been transformed at a pace that is absolutely breathtaking.  When I was growing up, I was convinced that I believed in a shared set of national values that most other Americans also embraced.  But in our day and age those values have been discarded and now people that see the world the way that I do are clearly not in the majority any longer.  I know that a lot of people out there may not want to hear that our national values have been turned upside down, but it is the truth.  Those that sought to “fundamentally transform” this country have succeeded, and at this point “American values” are vastly different from the “American values” that I cherished as a young boy.  The following are 7 numbers that clearly reveal the direction that America has chosen…

The far-left “green” agenda isn’t just after your car or gas stove. Radical progressives are demanding whole-life changes to “save” the planet. In reality, they are simply trying to use the climate to impose more and more socialist policies onto American families.

The biggest offenders, in their minds, are meat eaters. Carnivore Americans are “destroying” the earth. Even a UN summit from last year demanded the U.S. to stop consuming red meat.

Liberal companies have pushed “meat alternatives” to win us over. These products, made from heavily processed plants, are supposed to taste like real meat. Everyone from grocery stores to restaurants is pushing this stuff. But it looks like Americans are just not interested.
