One ethnic Serb has been hospitalized with a chest wound after ethnic Albanian special police in northern Kosovo opened fire on a civilian vehicle on Monday morning, an official in Belgrade has said, protesting the latest attack in the Western-backed breakaway province.
The incident happened around 11:30 local time at a checkpoint between Kosovska Mitrovica and Leposavic, according to the Serbian government’s commissioner for Kosovo, Petar Petkovic. He blamed the ethnic Albanian prime minister, Albin Kurti, for the shooting.
Disrupting Earth’s chemical cycles brings trouble. But planet-warming carbon dioxide isn’t the only element whose cycle we’ve turned wonky—we’ve got a phosphorus problem too. And it’s a big one, because we depend on this element to grow the world’s crops. “I don't know if it would be possible to have a full world without any mineral phosphorus fertilizer,” says Joséphine Demay, a PhD student at INRAE, France’s National Research Institute for Agriculture, Food, and the Environment.
Since the 1800s, agriculturalists have known that elemental phosphorus is a crucial fertilizer. Nations quickly began mining caches of “phosphate rock,” minerals rich in the element. By the middle of the 20th century, companies had industrialized chemical processes to turn it into a form suitable for supercharging crops, hardening them against disease, and making them able to support more people and livestock. That approach worked remarkably well: The post-World War II “Green Revolution” fed countless people thanks to fertilizers and pesticides. But sometimes there’s too much of a good thing.
Moscow has repeatedly underscored that western hostile acts and its packages of sanctions against Iran and Russia will not prevent the two countries from bolstering mutually beneficial cooperation in all areas.
Russia and Iran continued to bolster bilateral economic collaboration in the face of western sanctions last year. Russian State Duma Speaker Vyacheslav Volodin said that in 2022, trade turnover between Moscow and Tehran increased by 15% to a whopping $4.6 billion on Monday.
How is the Russian-Iranian economic partnership developing and what spheres does it cover? Sputnik answers these and other questions.
NASA is considering a faster way of traveling to Mars, which could take astronauts from Earth to the Red Planet in just 45 days.
According to the agency's statement, the idea behind the technology is Nuclear Thermal Propulsion or Nuclear Electric Propulsion. It is a new class of bimodal nuclear propulsion that uses a wave rotor topping cycle. NASA has stressed that this technology will revolutionize deep space exploration.
A nuclear propulsion rocket consists of an atomic reactor heating liquid hydrogen propellant. In turn, hydrogen propellant turns into ionized hydrogen gas and it is channeled through nostrils to generate thrust. According to the agency, the interesting aspect is that thanks to this propulsion system, the vessel can go to Mars and back multiple times.
The World Economic Forum's annual meeting took place in Davos on January 16-20, 2023. International observers sat down with Sputnik to formulate the main message of the gathering in a nutshell.
"This year’s forum featured the new state of the world: divided, resentful, and grim," Gal Luft, director of the Washington-based Institute for the Analysis of Global Security, told Sputnik. "Davos has become the dressing room of the West and is more divorced than ever from the rest. It no longer represents the real concerns of most of the world’s population. Its obsession with climate change, social justice, gender and other forms of wokeness has made it a laughing stock and target of disdain for most of the world."
The World Economic Forum (WEF), an international non-governmental and lobbying organization, was founded in January 1971 by German economist Klaus Schwab. Initially the entity was called "European Management Forum"; it changed its name to the World Economic Forum in 1987.
Bringing together business executives, thought leaders, and prominent politicians, the forum sought to become a global platform to spearhead the ideas of globalization and solve pressing economic and political dilemmas. However, some Western commentators observed that the forum quickly morphed into a technocratic globalist elitist club which sought to dictate rules for the rest of the world.
The Iranian-backed Hezbollah terrorist organization has built more than 20 observation and guard posts along the Israel-Lebanon border over the past year.
According to U.N. Security Council Resolution 1701, which ended the 2006 Second Lebanon War between the IDF and Hezbollah, the terrorist group is forbidden from operating near the frontier.
Hezbollah launched the project in parallel to Israel’s construction of a fortified perimeter fence along the 140-kilometer shared border, Ynet reported on Monday.
The Netherlands will send 8 F-35 fighters to the border of Russia and Belarus.
At the moment, it is known that the fifth generation fighters are sent to the territory of Poland. At the same time, two fighters will be constantly in a state of full combat readiness, while other aircraft will be used to conduct patrols along the border of Belarus, Russia and Ukraine.
It is known that the sending of F-35 fighters to Poland is carried out in connection with the growing tension between Russia and the West. In particular, we are talking about the deployment of large forces on the territory of Belarus near the border with Poland.
To date, a large grouping of NATO fighters has been deployed on the territory of Poland - taking into account data from open sources, currently about 20 F-35 fighters can be located on the territory of Poland - in addition to the arrival of the Dutch aviation, there may be 12 F-35 fighters of the US Air Force.
Joe Biden is considering sending US Abrams tanks to Ukraine in their war against nuclear Russia.
What better way to change the subject from his classified document scandal than nuclear war with Russia?
Elon Musk, Owner of Twitter is now on an all-out push for the release of the Jefferey Epstein client list.
Elon Musk has been making waves throughout social media after his acquisition of Twitter. Elon Musk exposed the Twitter files which essentially showed the truth about the censorship Twitter put on conservatives.
Twitter colluded with the US government to censor specific individuals and information being released to the public.
Elon Musk recently has been getting involved in the Jefferey Epstein client list.
Elon Musk has been pressuring the Department of Justice to release the Epstein client list to the public. He believes it is necessary for the public to know the truth about the Jefferey Epstein and his sex ring that is since been rumored many top names have been involved. with.
The DOJ has had crickets.
Lawsuits have been filed against JP Morgan executive who may have been involved in the Epstein List.
There are many question marks to as of who exactly was involved but many have ideas of who it could be.
The mainstream media has been completely silent over these developments
It will be interesting to see how this plays out as Elon Musk continues to push
An election integrity group said 10.9 million out of a total 22.1 million ballots that had been mailed out to registered voters during the 2022 midterm elections went “unaccounted for,” according to a Jan. 18 report.
“Mail voting practices have an insurmountable information gap,” the Public Interest Legal Foundation (PILF) said on Monday. “The public cannot know how many ballots were disregarded, delivered to wrong mailboxes, or even withheld from the proper recipient by someone at the same address.”
The watchdog released the two-page report (pdf) detailing what it called “the failures” of California’s first mass-mail balloting election following the passage of Assembly Bill 37 (AB 37), which requires that ballots automatically be mailed to all active registered voters statewide. The bill, signed into law by Gov. Gavin Newsom in September 2021, makes vote-by-mail ballots, a practice implemented in the 2020 general election in conjunction with the COVID-19 pandemic, permanent for all elections.
California has more registered voters than any other state. Yet its vote-by-mail policies—among the nation’s most expansive—have resulted in large numbers of ballots “disappearing at poll closing time,” PILF’s data show.
“After accounting for polling place votes and rejected ballots in November 2022, there were more than 10 million ballots left outstanding, meaning election officials do not know what happened to them,” reads the Wednesday report.
“It is fair to assume that the bulk of these were ignored or ultimately thrown out by the intended recipients. But, under mass-mail elections, we can only assume what happened,” it continued.
Earth’s inner core has recently stopped spinning, and may now be reversing the direction of its rotation, according to a surprising new study that probed the deepest reaches of our planet with seismic waves from earthquakes.
The mind-boggling results suggest that Earth’s center pauses and reverses direction on a periodic cycle lasting about 60 to 70 years, a discovery that might solve longstanding mysteries about climate and geological phenomena that occur on a similar timeframe, and that affect life on our planet.
Of course, it must be noted this is more or less the plot of the 2003 disaster film The Core, but there’s no need to worry about averting an impending apocalypse by nuking the center of Earth. While the core’s rotation influences Earth’s surface environment, scientists think this periodic spin switch is a normal part of its behavior that does not pose risks for life on our planet.
46th President Joe Biden has been named in a series of emails from 2017, found in his son Hunter Biden’s laptop, discussing a multi-million-dollar gas deal with China, the DailyMail.com has revealed.
NEW: Joe Biden named in 2017 email discussing multi-million dollar gas deal with China, wanted to arrange a call to “discuss the purchase.”

The classified doc scandal is just the tip of the iceberg.
In October 2017, Hunter and his uncle, First Brother Jim Biden, were informed by Louisiana lawyer Robert W. Fenet that he had made a contact for them at the Houston energy firm, Cherniere.
“I confirm I have requested [the contact] to be available for a call from Joe Biden and Hunter Biden on Monday morning,” Fenet wrote.

It seems like just yesterday that the debt-ceiling circus returned to Washington. Actually, it was October 2021, a little over two years ago. That circus was just like all the ones that preceded it. The mainstream press and other acolytes of the welfare-warfare state issued all sorts of dire predictions if the debt ceiling wasn’t raised. As soon as the debt-ceiling was raised, no one advocated cutting government spending to prepare for the next time that the debt ceiling was reached. Everyone knew that as soon as the new debt ceiling was reached, they could do the same thing again.
In other words, for the past two years, it has been business as usual — federal government expenditures exceeding tax revenues by around $1 trillion per year. And everyone knew that within a couple of years, the debt ceiling would be reached again.
Thus, just like clockwork, it’s déjà vu all over again. In fact, the mainstream press doesn’t even have to write new editorials or op-eds. All they have to do is trot out the ones from 2021 (and before) and use them. No one would be the wiser. Why write new ones when the old ones will work just as well?
A U.S. government report released Monday estimates that there could have been more than $60 billion in unemployment insurance fraud during the pandemic.
The report by the U.S. Government Accountability Office says that figure is an estimate spread over the entire unemployment system and should be “interpreted with caution.”
There has been $4.3 billion of unemployment fraud proven by state workforce agencies and at least $45 billion more in transactions that were flagged as potential fraudulent unemployment claims but not confirmed.
The U.S. Department of Labor stated that about $878 billion in total unemployment benefits were paid from April 2020 through September 2022, the report stated. There was $209 billion in expenditures under the regular unemployment insurance and about $669 billion payouts under the various pandemic unemployment programs, which ended September 6, 2021.
White House Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre delivered remarks to the media yesterday that suggested House Republicans, barely two weeks into serving as the majority, will be responsible for higher gas prices in the near future.
Jean-Pierre’s comments reeked of desperation to pivot media coverage away from President Biden’s ongoing classified document scandal. And they were utterly laughable on their face.
“As many of you are tracking, this week, House Republicans will vote to raise gas prices on American families,” she opened her joint press briefing with Secretary of Energy Jennifer Granholm.
“The contrast in priorities could not be more stark,” Jean-Pierre added. “The President spent the last two years, as you know, doing everything he could to lower gas prices for American families, and prices are down about $1.60 a gallon since last summer.”
“Now, House Republicans are using their narrow majority to force the American people to pay higher gas prices, just as big oil companies are amassing record profits.”
