Law enforcement agencies are preparing for the possibility of former President Donald Trump’s indictment.
State, local and federal agencies are eyeing security measures in the event of Trump’s indictment, according to five senior officials cited by NBC News on Friday.
The indictment could come as soon as next week.
Trump would be charged with an offense related to alleged improper payments to pornographic performer Stormy Daniels, according to NBC.
The case stands in stark contrast to reports that former President Donald Trump will be arrested on Tuesday for an alleged $130,000 hush money payment made to porn star Stormy Daniels in 2016 over an alleged sexual encounter that the two had in 2006.
Trump’s former attorney, Michael Cohen, pleaded guilty to charges over the payment in 2018 and was sentenced to three years in prison.
In 1998, the Washington Post reported, “President Clinton reached an out-of-court settlement with Paula Jones yesterday, agreeing to pay her $850,000 to drop the sexual harassment lawsuit that led to the worst political crisis of his career and only the third presidential impeachment inquiry in American history.”
The reported upcoming arrest of President Trump by hyper partisan Soros prosecutor Alvin Bragg is some Third World Banana Republic lunacy and a very, very dangerous road to go down.
Leftists in the United States are increasingly weaponizing investigations to persecute and prosecute political opponents. It must end.
The left’s conduct is similar to the conduct you find in a banana republic where the authoritarian state punishes its political enemies with criminal prosecutions in search of crimes.
It’s antithetical to America’s founding which rejected the idea and practice of those in power punishing political opponents for vague and ambiguous “crimes against the state.” Instead, the Founders chose to create a country of laws, not of men.
Mexico's army has dramatically revised upward the number of drug lab raids it says it conducted under President Andres Manuel Lopez Obrador, according to government data and leaked military documents reviewed by Reuters.
The documents, found among a trove of millions of emails leaked last year by the Guacamaya hacker group, show the upward revision being due to the army retroactively including hundreds of inactive labs on its seizures list under Lopez Obrador's presidency. Figures for the years of previous administrations were left unchanged.
Mexico's army, in a response to a freedom of information request in February, now says it seized 635 synthetic drug labs during 2019, 2020 and 2021 - the first three years of Lopez Obrador's administration - up from 104 busts it had previously reported for the same period.
Former President Donald Trump said in a social media post early Saturday morning that “illegal leaks” from the Manhattan District Attorney’s Office indicate that he will be arrested next week.
The remarks from Trump come after a report from NBC News said federal, state, and local law enforcement agencies were analyzing security assessments and making plans to prepare for the possibility that Trump could be indicted next week by a Manhattan grand jury in connection with a $130,000 hush money payment he allegedly made to porn actress Stormy Daniels during the 2016 presidential campaign.
“ILLEGAL LEAKS FROM A CORRUPT & HIGHLY POLITICAL MANHATTAN DISTRICT ATTORNEYS OFFICE, WHICH HAS ALLOWED NEW RECORDS TO BE SET IN VIOLENT CRIME & WHOSE LEADER IS FUNDED BY GEORGE SOROS, INDICATE THAT, WITH NO CRIME BEING ABLE TO BE PROVEN, & BASED ON AN OLD & FULLY DEBUNKED (BY NUMEROUS OTHER PROSECUTORS!) FAIRYTALE, THE FAR & AWAY LEADING REPUBLICAN CANDIDATE & FORMER PRESIDENT OF THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA, WILL BE ARRESTED ON TUESDAY OF NEXT WEEK,” Trump posted to his social media platform. “PROTEST, TAKE OUR NATION BACK!”
Nearly 200 more banks may be vulnerable to the same type of risk that took down Silicon Valley Bank: The value of the assets they hold.
There are 186 banks across the country that could fail if half of their depositors quickly withdraw their funds, a new study published on the Social Science Research Network found.
Even insured depositors — those with $250,000 or less in the bank — could have problems getting their cash if these institutions face the sort of run that Silicon Valley saw a week ago.
The concern is that these banks hold a significant amount of their assets in interest-rate sensitive financial instruments like government bonds and mortgage backed securities. The value of those older, low-interest investments dropped sharply as the Federal Reserve hiked interest rates over the past year.
Paris police have banned gatherings in the city’s spots in areas around important government sites in an effort to end protests against France's plan to raise the state pension age by two years without a vote.
"Due to serious risks of disturbances to public order and security … any gathering at Place de la Concorde and its surroundings as well as in the area of the Avenue des Champs-Elysées is prohibited," the police said, according to an AFP report. "People who try to gather there will be systematically evicted by the police."
French President Emmanuel Macron has decided to push through the new legislation, which would raise the age of retirement from 62 to 64, using Article 49.3 of the constitution, which allows him to pass a law without a parliamentary vote. His decision has proven deeply unpopular, prompting nationwide protests.
The total population of United States citizen children born to illegal aliens now far exceeds one year of American births, a March analysis shows.
The Federation for American Immigration Reform (FAIR) analysis estimates that about 5.4 million “anchor babies,” the term used to describe the U.S.-born children of illegal aliens who are awarded birthright citizenship, reside across the nation.
This indicates that the anchor baby population now exceeds the annual 3.7 million U.S. births by about 1.7 million. Put another way, the number of anchor babies in the U.S. is twice that of Chicago, Illinois’s resident population.
Russian President Vladimir Putin has arrived in Sevastopol on the day of the ninth anniversary of Crimea’s reunification with Russia at the wheel of a car, Sevastopol Governor Mikhail Razvozhayev said on his Telegram channel.
"Our president knows how to surprise. In a good sense. Today we were supposed to inaugurate a children's art school. Everything was ready for a video conference and a report to the president via a special communication link. In the end, the president came personally. By car. He was at the wheel himself. On such a historic day, the president is always with Sevastopol and the people of Sevastopol. Our country has an incredible leader," Razvozhayev wrote.
Together with the chairman of the Patriarchal Council for Culture, Metropolitan Tikhon (Shevkunov) of Pskov and Porkhov, he showed Putin about a new children's art school and children's center Korsun. This is the first part of a large-scale project of the Tauric Chersonese historical and archaeological park.
Our thoughts today are with the people of Iraq, whose country was invaded twenty years on March 19, 2003.
This article first published in June 2005 focusses on the fake intelligence used to justify the invasion.
Colin Powell’s “intelligence report” presented to the UN Security Council on February 5, 2003 was fabricated.
IT WAS FAKE INTELLIGENCE.
The intimate details pertaining to Colin Powell’s fake report were revealed by Cambridge lecturer Dr. Glen Rangwala.
It was copied and pasted from the internet by members of Tony Blair’s staff.
On the night of March 18, Ukraine was awakened by another wave of Russian strikes on military and energy infrastructure facilities throughout the country.
The locals reported that the explosions sounded in the Dnipropetrovsk, Kiev, Lviv, Zhytomyr, Rivne, Khmelnytsky and Volyn regions. Air alert was sounded in a dozen regions, including the Cherkasy, Kirovograd, Kharkiv, Poltava, and those listed above.
So far, Ukrainian officials only confirmed that the Russian UAVs had reached their target in the Dnipropetrovsk region, while Ukrainian air defence was working in Kiev and in the neighboring Zhytomyr region.
On March 18, Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky imposed sanctions against Syrian President Bashar Assad, a close ally of Russia.
In addition to President Assad, the sanctions targeted Syrian Prime Minister Hussein Arnous and Foreign Minister Faisal Miqdad. A document released by the Ukrainian Presidency clarifies that Assad and the two senior Syrian officials are now subject to the blocking of assets and a number of other measures.
The new sanctions included 300 individuals, mostly Russian citizens, and 141 legal entities, mainly research centers, factories, shipbuilding enterprises and aviation industry companies from Russia.
Ukrainian-Syrian relations began to deteriorate in 2016 when Damascus decided to recognize the Crimean Peninsula as a part of Russia. Two years later, Ukraine refused to revalidate residencies of Syrian diplomatic staff in Kiev.
The speed with which Washington deligitimizes the remnants of the West's institutions is astonishing. It also explains what REAL influence Russia and her SMO provide on the rest of the world.
As part of the new payment system launched last year, Indonesian President Joko Widodo called on Wednesday for his country to abandon the use of foreign payment networks like MasterCard and Visa and encouraged the public to adopt credit cards made by domestic banks. At a local business gathering, Widodo emphasized that "everyone [in Indonesia] should be able to use" Indonesian-manufactured credit cards so that "we can be independent," as he explained that the aim is to avoid risking transactions in case of a geopolitical disruption that could economically affect the country. According to the president, the initiative "shows that Indonesia is following the pace of digital technology transformation in the economic sector." "Be very careful. We must remember the sanctions imposed by the US on Russia. Visa and Mastercard could be a problem," he warned.
American carriers are losing as much as $2 billion annually in market share to competitors not forced to avoid Russian airspace
The US Transportation Department is considering a ban on the use of Russian airspace for Chinese airlines that fly passengers to the US, three officials from the administration of President Joe Biden told the New York Times on Friday. An order that would impose on Chinese competitors the same restrictions on using Russian airspace faced by US airlines was reportedly presented to members of the national security team and others last Monday.
The proposal is the result of lobbying by US air carriers, who have lost as much as $2 billion annually in market share to foreign competitors not subject to the US' ban on flying over Russian territory, according to industry trade group Airlines for America. A spokeswoman for the group confirmed it wants the Biden administration to "take action to ensure that foreign carriers overflying Russia do not depart, land or transit through US airports."
After the implosion of the FTX crypto exchange run by Sam Bankman Fried, questions of due diligence and competency immediately arose, suggesting that perhaps the company mishandled assets “accidentally” and that Fried was naive and “in over his head.” Numerous central bank officials and globalist organizations jumped into the debate almost immediately, arguing that FTX was a perfect example of why centralized regulation of crypto and digital currencies was necessary. They claimed that without oversight by banking elites, disaster was inevitable.
Of course, what they did not mention was that FTX and Sam Fried already had extensive connections with globalist groups including the World Economic Forum. In fact, the very basis of Fried’s business model was the WEF’s “Stakeholder Capitalism” theory, which he often referred to as “Effective Altruism.”
Seven children were paralyzed by vaccine-derived polio linked to the new nOPV2 polio vaccine developed by the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, according to health officials in the Democratic Republic of the Congo and Burundi and the Global Polio Eradication Initiative (GPEI), which on Thursday announced the news.
The Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, a GPEI partner, funded the development and clinical trials for the nOPV2 vaccine.
Burundi declared a national emergency after confirming eight cases of the virus and five samples from environmental surveillance of wastewater, the World Health Organization (WHO) said in a statement.
In an interview to mark his 10-year anniversary, Pope Francis appeared to deny the existence of Hell, saying that “is not a place” but is instead simply “a state of the heart” and “a posture towards life.”
The pontiff’s comments formed part of a lengthy conversation conducted by Argentinian news site Perfil, one of a number of recent interviews the Pope granted journalists to mark his decade upon the papal throne. Touching on a number of topics he discussed with other reporters, Francis also spoke about his philosophical and theological thought, along with aspects relating to global politics.
As part of the in-depth discussion, Francis was asked, “What is your own interpretation of Hell and paradise, and what happens to people who go to Hell, and what happens to those who go to paradise?”
China’s Finance Ministry has imposed an unprecedented fine of 212 million yuan ($30.8 million) on accountancy firm Deloitte, for negligence in its audit of bad-debt manager China Huarong, the ministry said in a statement on its website on Friday. Bad-debt managers are asset management firms that are tasked with buying distressed loans from banks.
According to the financial authorities, several inspections, staff interviews, and a paperwork review revealed that Deloitte, one of the ‘Big Four’ global accounting giants, had failed to detect the condition of Huarong’s underlying assets and objectively assess its businesses operations from 2014 to 2019. Huarong also concealed the fact that it experienced a number of internal and risk control failures at the time, according to the ministry.
“During the period when it offered auditing services [to Huarong], [Deloitte] did not maintain [a] professional skeptical attitude, did not effectively conduct essential auditing procedures, did not obtain sufficient and adequate auditing evidence and had severe auditing flaws,” the statement read.
Former British Prime Minister Tony Blair has claimed that the US-led invasion of Iraq was more justified than Russia’s ongoing military operation in Ukraine, despite all of his pre-war claims since being proven false.
Speaking to Germany’s DPA and two other European news agencies, Blair stated that the invasion – in which 46,000 British troops took part – was a legitimate response Saddam Hussein’s domestic repressions and his use of chemical weapons against the Kurds.
“At least you could say we were removing a despot and trying to introduce democracy,” Blair said.
The British government has commissioned Rolls-Royce to develop a nuclear reactor that could one day power a lunar base as part of a US-led mission to house humans on the moon. However the project has thus far been plagued by delays and cost overruns.
The UK Space Agency announced on Friday that it has awarded £2.9 million ($3.5 million) to Rolls-Royce to build a prototype. The British engineering firm, which is owned by German firm BMW, plans on having a working reactor ready by 2029.
“As we prepare to see humans return to the Moon for the first time in more than 50 years, we are backing exciting research like this lunar modular reactor with Rolls-Royce to pioneer new power sources for a lunar base,” the minister of state at the Department of Science, Innovation and Technology, George Freeman, said in a statement.
Russsian President Vladimir Putin has made an unannounced “working trip” to Mariupol. The surprise visit is the first time Putin has visted the Donbass region, since it de facto broke away from Ukraine nine years ago.
The Azov Sea port city was liberated by Russian forces last spring during the military operation in Ukraine, and joined Russia as part of the Donetsk People’s Republic following a September referendum.
Putin arrived in Mariupol by helicopter, accompanied by Russian Deputy Prime Minister Marat Khusnullin, multiple news agencies including TASS and RIA Novosti reported on Sunday morning, citing the Kremlin’s press service.
In the latest round of industrial action to disrupt travel plans, strikes at four German airports led to the cancellation of hundreds of flights on Friday.
The latest round of strikes on Friday, described by the German union Verdi as “warning strikes”, brought to halt airports in Dusseldorf, Cologne/Bonn, Stuttgart and Baden-Baden over pay and working conditions and resulted in the cancellation of at least 144 flights.
"No take-offs and landings are possible all day due to the Verdi strike," Stuttgart Airport said in a statement, calling on passengers not to travel to the airport.
Dusseldorf Airport said earlier in the week it was working on a "significantly reduced flight schedule" from what it originally had of 368 take-offs and landings for Friday.
Earlier this week, Berlin, Bremen and Hamburg airports canceled all commercial flights because of the walkouts. The one-day walkout affected 27,000 travelers, and the airport had to cancel around 200 flights.
Republicans continue to try and fix Biden’s economy.
Their latest effort is a sweeping energy bill to help lower inflation fueled by high energy costs, contributing to America’s struggle. A coalition of 27 groups has formed, urging Congress to pass the bill as soon as possible.
In short, the bill will give domestic production a much-needed boost. Then, it will lower taxes and regulations, helping companies save money. Those savings will then be passed on to the consumer. Fox News reports, “‘Families and businesses are facing historic inflation costs driven by President Biden’s war on American energy,’ AFP Vice President of Government Affairs Akash Chougule told Fox News Digital in a statement. ‘Now, Congress has a real opportunity to lower costs by repealing the onerous taxes and regulations that are standing in the way of an abundant, reliable energy supply.’”
Karen Kingston is a biotech analyst and former Pfizer employee who understands complicated medical and biological contracts. Kingston has been doing a deep dive into the contract President Trump signed with Pfizer for their version of the CV19 vax. The contract proves Trump required Pfizer to follow the law to produce a safe and effective vaccine. The Pfizer vax was not safe or effective and violated the contract. On top of that, the Pfizer vax turned out to be a bioweapon. Pfizer says it produced 63% of the 13 billion injections worldwide. Kingston explains, “Unlike any other contract I have ever read before, the contract says right up front the President said they had to produce a safe and effective vaccine, and they would have to promise it would protect against SARS-Cov-2 infections and all its variants. Oh, and by the way, all those Emergency Use Authorization (EUA) laws that give you immunity under Obama and Bush, Jr., you are going to forfeit those.
Donald Trump has received a standing ovation from Tulsa supporters as he arrived inside the NCAA Wrestling Championships at BOK Center.
Wrestling fans cheered the ex-president as he pumped a defiant fist into the air in his first outing since announcing he would be arrested Tuesday in connection to hush money paid to porn star Stormy Daniels.
The crowd pleaser walked through swathes of supporters as he took his seat in the arena waving and smiling despite his claims of imminent arrest.
Officers could handcuff Donald Trump if they arrest him next week over claims he paid porn star Stormy Daniels to keep quiet about their alleged affair.
Secret Service agents are said to be involved in delicate negotiations with Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg's office over how to handle the unprecedented arrest of a former president.
Sources say Trump - who is protected by law by the Secret Service - will have to be fingerprinted and processed like every other defendant though officials are still deliberating over whether he will be handcuffed.
Southern border agents arrested sixteen people on the FBI's terror watchlist last month as border arrests are set to outpace record numbers encountered in the last year.
It brings the total number of encounters for the 2023 fiscal year to 69, which is on the trajectory to exceeding the 98 encounters made in the year prior.
It comes as Republicans demand answers for why the Biden administration is spending millions to store unused border wall panels as the country is inundated with illegal migrants risking their lives to cross onto American soil, and enough drugs to kill five times the population of the U.S. flood in.
