Our government is planning a big draft, conscripting millions of young Americans for an even bigger war!

I call to your attention a Democratic amendment to the National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA), which was slipped into the almost trillion-dollar Pentagon war spending bill, by voice vote, in the House Armed Services committee.

The Democratic Amendment to H.R. 8070, the National Defense Authorization (NDAA) reads:

Section 531. Selective Service System:  Automatic Registration.  SEC. 3. (a)(1) “Except as otherwise provided in this title, every male citizen of the United States, and every other male person residing in the United States, between the ages of eighteen and twenty-six, shall be automatically registered under this Act by the Director of the Selective Service System.”

Joe Biden knows that the conviction of his son Hunter is a terrible look for his administration, considering the close ties that Biden and his family had to Hunter’s activities.

It’s also something that has enraged him personally, as Hunter is his only living son and he has always been able to get Hunter out of trouble at various points in his life.

The charges that Hunter was convicted on were gun charges, and it appears that Biden thinks that if Hunter was going to go down on gun charges, everyone else should too.

His first move after the conviction was to give a terrifying speech on gun control, pledging to crack down on gun owners if he is re-elected.

While he did not specifically mention his son Hunter, it is deeply ironic that his speech took place after his son’s conviction on those charges.

Everyone needs to hear this speech, which is a dark warning about what will happen if Biden gets back into office.

The 2023 Nashville Covenant School murders understandably received massive news coverage when they occurred. The fight over obtaining the murderer’s diary also received news attention. But when “nearly four dozen pages” of the murderer’s diary were finally released last week, the mainstream media completely ignored it. It turns out that behind the scenes, the FBI had fought hard against the diary’s release. Some Covenant School parents also opposed releasing the diary because it would force families to re-live the nightmare. The Tennessee Star’s parent company, Star News Digital Media, successfully filed two lawsuits to obtain the diary.

Five days after the release of the diary, with the exception of the New York Post, which is a national news outlet, the news coverage was limited to seven other conservative outlets such as The Daily Wire and Newsbusters.

The school murderer was transgender, and her diary reveals a suicidal left-winger who hated whites. The FBI expressed concern that the release of the diary from a transgender person could lead the public “to dismiss the attacker as mentally ill,” which would “further permeate the false narrative that the majority of attackers are mentally ill.” It worried that the diary could “potentially inflam[e] the public.”

The FBI worried that releasing the diary could have “unintended consequences for the segment of the population more vulnerable or open to conspiracy theories, which will undoubtedly abound.” Self-professed “experts,” the FBI fears, will “proffer their perspectives” in the press.

But there is a lot of important information in the diary. As is very typical of mass public shooters, the murderer was suicidal: “A terrible feeling to know I am nothing of the gender I was born of. I am the most unhappy boy alive. I wish to be dead.” She was also on the anti-anxiety drug Buspirone, whose potential side effects include “abnormal dreams, outbursts of anger, tremors, and physical weakness.”

The FBI worries that the diary will help create a link in people’s minds between mass murderers and mental illness, but suicidal people presumably have some mental health problems. Nor should the link be particularly surprising given that the Crime Prevention Research Center shows that 51% of mass public shooters in the last 25 years were actually seeing mental health care professionals before their attacks. That is 2.5 times the rate in the general public.

The FBI acknowledged that Americans want to “understand what led to such tragic events.” But the FBI argued these statements “seldom provide the answers” and the diaries and manifestos were “often misleading.” Yet the national media appears completely uninterested in why these murderers pick the targets they do and how their motivation to get media coverage is important in understanding how to stop these attacks.

The diary showed that the murderer had picked the Covenant School because it was a soft, unprotected target. Even if the national media ignored these comments, the Metro Nashville Police Chief John Drake, who had access to the diary, said on the day of the attack, “There was another location that was mentioned, but because of a threat assessment by the suspect of too much security, they decided not to.” A couple of days later, Nashville Council member Robert Swope stated that the murderer “looked at” two other Nashville public schools before deciding “the security was too great to do what she wanted to do.”

While the FBI worries that many of “the offenders themselves do not fully grasp or comprehend” what they are writing, there is a logic to attacking facilities assumed to be gun-free zones, like the Covenant School, and trying to maximize the amount of media coverage that they receive. The FBI may not want to acknowledge this, and the media may not want to cover these points, but we see it consistently in these attacks.

The mass murderer wanted to get attention for the difficulties facing transgender individuals. She compared trans individuals to other groups in a way that indicates she clearly believed that transgender people didn’t have the same rights: “Disabled have rights, civil races have rights, LGBTQ have rights, gun owners have rights.” But referring to the life of transgender people, she declared: “… with no rights, anyone’s country is a s***** dictatorship.”

The news media and the FBI under the Biden administration are attempting to control the information available to Americans about a mentally troubled woman who identified as a man. The Biden administration is free to argue against linking transgender issues to mental illness or mass murder, but censoring the information is not the right approach

Claire's Observations:  Censorship is NEVER the right approach.  But I have to wonder; was there any kind of psychological intervention which could have prevented this horrific outburst of violence from having happened?

And why didn't her attending physician, or the psychiatrist who prescribed this medication, understand the potential horrific side-effects, and switch her to another medication?!?

Thoughtless medication of individuals with rage issues, coupled with "gun free zones", means we are going to see  more incidents like this,  unfortunately.  An intelligent, moral human being with a gun on the scene, could have stopped this massacre in a heartbeat.

Russia unexpectedly deployed the S-500 "Prometheus" air defense system, the final piece of the puzzle necessary for a nuclear first strike.

The Russians believe they now have the ability to repel a counter-offensive nuclear strike by NATO, which changes the balance of strategic power between the two camps.

This is a scenario that War News 24/7 has revealed and highlighted twice so far.

Kinzhal, Avangard, Sarmat, RSM-56 Bulava and now the S-500. Almost all of Russia's strategic weapons are in combat service, a fact that "frees" the hands of the Russian military leadership.

The Biden administration is concerned that the violence on the Israel-Lebanon border could soon escalate into a full-blown war and that Israel is rushing into the conflict without a clear strategyAxios reported this week.

US officials told Axios that the administration has cautioned Israel against the idea of a “limited war,” warning that Iran could intervene and militants in Iraq and Syria could join the fighting.

Image: Israel Defense Forces

The report said the White House believes a ceasefire in Gaza is the only thing that could reduce tensions on the Israel-Lebanon border. However, Israeli officials have previously threatened to escalate in Lebanon if a truce is reached in Gaza.

The report comes after Israeli airstrikes killed a Hezbollah commander who was described as the most senior member of Hezbollah to be killed by Israel since October 2023.

Hezbollah responded with a large volley of rockets. On Thursday, Israeli soldiers were spotted launching large fireballs into southern Lebanon to start fires.

According to a tally from AFP, Israeli bombings in southern Lebanon have killed at least 468 people in southern Lebanon since October, including 89 civilians. On the Israeli side, Israeli authorities have said 15 soldiers and 11 civilians have been killed by Hezbollah.

The US is calling for de-escalation on the border after the latest round of strikes, but there’s no sign diplomatic efforts are making any progress.

There’s also no sign that the US is putting any real pressure on Israel to change what it’s doing in the north since US military aid continues to flow.

Claire's Observations:  For the IDF to be plowing ahead in Lebanon, without appearing to have any reasonably defined objectives, is most likely  NOT the IDF's fault, but one which can be laid directly on Netanyahu's shoulders, as his only  goal right now is staying in power, no matter the cost to his country; the Palestinians; or the surrounding countries, the borders of which he wants to "re-arrange" in favor of Eretz Israel (Greater Israel.)

And what, precisely does Eretz Israel mean to the Israeli people?!?  As reported at encyclopedia.com:

"This Expression used to designate the land of Israel, as it was promised by God to the Jewish people, according to Biblical tradition. Geographically this territory corresponds to the Kingdom of Solomon, which extended from Dan, north of Tiberias, to Beersheba in the south. After the creation of the State of Israel in May 1948, this notion of a "Greater Israel" became the central theme of the political program of Israeli nationalist extremist movements. To them, Eretz Yisrael stretches from the Jordan River to the Mediterranean".  And how does this play out on a map the current-day Middle East?!?

Looking at this, superimposed on existing countries, such boundaries would almost erase Syria; one huge chunk would be gone from Saudi Arabia as well as Iraq;  and another big hunk from Egypt.  Call me silly, but I do NOT think that any one of these countries will be open to giving a millimeter of their territory toward the establishment of this "Greater Israel".

So what is left?!?  War, of course, most likely paid for primarily by the American taxpayer, and in which American troops on the ground will be killed or maimed for life.

IF in fact this is Netanyahu's true goal, and why the attacks of 7 October were "allowed" to happen in Israel, in order to "justify" genocide against the Palestinian, as a prelude to a larger war, then Netanyahu is a megalomaniac, on the level of a Pol Pot,  just with a better wardrobe.

I doubt that there is anyone in the bowels of power in the US government with the "male attributes" to sit the guy down, and tell him that the American" piggy bank" for endless financial support and weapons support is over, and he and Israel are on their own.  Unfortunately, that will only happen when pigs discover they are aerodynamic, because he has so much dirt on influential US politicians which he can use to make careers crumble in a heartbeat, so this madness will certainly continue for some time to come.

When both candidates in US Presidential elections are both beholden to its military/industrial complex,  as is absolutely true in 2024, this does not give people any control of the madness of war at all; it gives people the illusion of a difference, when in fact there is no real difference between candidates, and their stance on war.

Former homeland security officials are slamming the Biden administration for failing to issue a national terror threat bulletin for over a year — despite a string of serious potential terror threats stemming from the southern border.

The arrest of eight individuals from Tajikistan believed to have links to the ISIS terror organization — in addition to several recent accidental releases of migrants whose names appear on the terror watchlist — should be enough to alert the public to a terrorist threat, the former Department of Homeland Security (DHS) officials told The Post.

House Speaker Mike Johnson expressed disappointment Friday in the Justice Department's (DOJ) decision not to prosecute Attorney General Merrick Garland after the House voted to hold him in contempt for not fulfilling a subpoena, but said he plans to move forward by taking the subpoena to federal court and certifying the contempt reports.

The DOJ said Garland's refusal to comply with a congressional subpoena does not "constitute a crime." The subpoena instructed Garland to turn over an audio recording of President Joe Biden's interview with special counsel Robert Hur, who investigated Biden's handling of classified documents. The House voted to hold Garland in contempt on Wednesday.

"The House disagrees with the assertions in the letter from the Department of Justice, and as Speaker, I will be certifying the contempt reports to the U.S. Attorney for the District of Columbia," Johnson said in a post to X. "It is sadly predictable that the Biden Administration’s Justice Department will not prosecute Garland for defying congressional subpoenas even though the department aggressively prosecuted Steve Bannon and Peter Navarro for the same thing."

Private and public employers will want to reconsider imposing a vaccine mandate the next time a public health crisis occurs. A federal court just ruled against the constitutionality of COVID-19 vaccines mandates — and the ruling is liable to reach well beyond the 2020 coronavirus outbreak.

The 9th Circuit Court of Appeals (one rung below the U.S. Supreme Court) ruled the Los Angeles United School District (LAUSD), which required teachers and other employees to get the COVID-19 jab “or lose their jobs interfered with their fundamental right to refuse medical treatment.” The 9th Circuit reversed a lower court’s ruling in Health Freedom Defense Fund (HFDF) v. Alberto Carvalho [superintendent of LAUSD].

What it means: The ruling is, for all intents and purposes, the law of the land — at least for the time being. Similar cases are working their way through the courts in other regions of the U.S. No doubt the HFDF ruling will embolden groups who believe they were harmed by vaccine mandates in employers’ COVID-19 policies to keep the litigation ball rolling.

The House of Representatives passed a resolution Friday that automatically enrolls young men for selective service, and expands the mandatory draft ages by one years, to men aged 18-26.

Young men are already required to register for selective service if they are between the ages of 18 and 25, but the new resolution would enroll them automatically. Although the draft has not been used in half a century, it is considered a felony if an eligible man fails to register, Fox News reported.

The resolution was included in the National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA), which approves the defense budget for the next fiscal year, and includes the government's top priorities when it comes to defense and national security policies. The NDAA passed the House in a 217-199 vote.

The West must show Moscow that it stands “completely” behind Ukraine by sanctioning everything Russian, Britain’s foreign secretary David Cameron has said.

Cameron spoke at a press conference in London as British Prime Minister Rishi Sunak’s government announced new sanctions against Russia. His remarks were published on Friday, by the Italian daily Corriere della Sera.

“We will show [Russian President Vladimir] Putin that we are completely behind Ukraine: we will chase the money and the oil, we will stop the gas, we will stop the ships, we will do everything we can to stop the Russian war machine and show Putin the folly of his actions,” Cameron told the Italian outlet

The UK is “hunting” companies that do business with Russia “all over the world,” he said. “We will sanction companies in China, in Türkiye, in Kyrgyzstan, even in Israel, that we believe are supplying dual-use material” to Russia, he added.

Hezbollah carried out on June 14 more than ten attacks against Israel, targeting military sites, equipment, troops and settlements near the Lebanese border.

In separate statements, Hezbollah said that its fighters shelled three sites of the Israeli Defense Forces (IDF), al-Ramtha, al-Samaqa and Metula. The group also announced that it targeted a technical system of the IDF in Metula with a suicide drone and struck surveillance equipment in the sites of Miskaf Aam and Jal al-Deir

Three gatherings of Israeli troops were also targeted in the sites of Khallet Warda, Ramtha and Horsh Baram, according to the group.

Hezbollah also announced that its fighters struck a house occupied by Israeli troops in the settlement of Metula and fired dozens of Falaq and Katyusha rockets at the settlements of Kiryat Shmona and Kfarsold.

The attacks were carried out in support of the Palestinian people and resistance in the Gaza Strip and in response to recent Israeli strikes on Lebanon including one that killed two civilians and wounded several others in the southern town of Jannata a day earlier, the group noted in its statement.

Ukraine’s new Mobilisation Law, which allows prisoners to join the army, will not help Kiev fill its ranks as the prison population is not even big enough to cover for one month’s losses in the war devastated country. Even more alarmingly, or perhaps unsurprisingly, prison wardens are using changes in the mobilisation law as an opportunity to illegally extort money.

There are currently about 46,000 people in Ukrainian prisons and detention centres, which Ukrainian officials say is a pool that could enable the mobilisation of 10,000 to 20,000 prisoners. The whole prison population cannot be mobilised since the law prohibits those convicted of serious crimes, such as premeditated murder, rape and sexual violence, and crimes against national security from joining the Ukrainian military.

In any case, even if they could be recruited it would not solve Kiev’s immense manpower problems considering that the Ukrainian army suffers monthly losses of 50,000 personnel. At the same time, with information being so widespread today, including in prison, it is doubtful that there will be many willing to leave incarceration and go to the front where they face certain death by artillery, aerial bombs, drones, and other unrelenting means employed by Russian forces.

A law signed by Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky allowing some Ukrainian convicts to serve in the army in exchange for the possibility of parole is seen by even Western analysts as a move that underscores Kiev’s desperate attempts to replenish its ranks after more than two years of war.

The United States is once again stepping up support for Ukraine in its conflict with Russia as well as for the Israeli government’s bloody war on the Palestinian enclave of the Gaza Strip.

On June 13, U.S. President Joe Biden and Ukrainian leader Vladimir Zelensky signed a 10-year security agreement on the sidelines of the G7 summit in southern Italy.

Biden said that the goal of the agreement was “to strengthen Ukraine’s defense and deterrence capabilities.” Meanwhile, Zelenskyy said that the signing made for a “truly historic day,” but he also wondered about the durability of support from the U.S. and other allies.

The agreement does not commit U.S. troops directly to Ukraine’s defense against Russia or offer the country any new money. However, it includes a commitment by the U.S. to work with Congress on a source of sustainable funding for the future.

Text of the agreement released by the White House also describes how the U.S. will coordinate with Ukraine and other U.S. allies and partners to make sure Ukraine has the military, intelligence and other means necessary to defend itself and deter Russia.

The U.S. and Ukraine would also consult “at the highest levels” in the event of a future armed attack by Russia against Ukraine.

This amendment is in the NDAA legislation and there is no pending amendment to strip it from the bill.  So, when the NDAA passes, as early as this week, Congress will have taken steps to make automatic conscription the law of the land.

Britain is the world leader in anti-Russian politics. The Brits hate Putin and zealously encourage the Ukies to fight their Russian cousins to the last drop of blood. The Russians and the Ukies were ready to sign a deal in February 2022, until British PM Johnson arrived in Kiev to convince the Ukies to drop it. And so they did. Ever since then, the Brits have been the leading force pushing the Ukies to fight, and convincing NATO members to help them fight. The Brits are leading the global anti-Russian campaign. These are the facts. However, the explanation of these facts evaded me until now.

Recently a promising young reporter called Dood (or maybe Doodj), spoke to a leader of the Russian pro-Western opposition, the runaway ex-oligarch Michael Chodorkovsky [Mikhail Khodorkovsky]. Mr Ch has been relegated to the shadows and margins of history, though once upon a time he was the richest tycoon in Russia, and one of the wealthiest men in the world. Now he is worth just below one billion dollars, peanuts as oligarchs count.

Preliminary results of the June 6-9 elections show that ECR and ID have a combined total of about 130 votes. The vote has reshuffled the cards in the European Parliament, and the ID group, which is a home to the FPO, gained new partners, such as lawmakers from Portugal and Croatia, lawmaker from the Freedom Party of Austria (FPO), Roman Haider, said.

"As you know, we have a common group with the ECR in the Council of Europe. So why not in the EP? We are working on that, and we will see the outcome in three weeks' time. If we succeed in building a joint group, this group will overtake the socialist group and will be the second largest in the EP," Haider said.

Western leaders are doubling down on NATO's proxy war against Russia, with disastrous consequences for their domestic and international standing.

Volodymyr Zelensky and sponsoring his regime Western world leaders are gathering for a summit to discuss the country’s ongoing conflict with Russia at Switzerland’s Burgenstock Resort this weekend.

The sprawling compound, which boasts multiple five-star hotels and scenic views of Alpine landscapes, is known as one of the world’s top luxury mountain resorts. A spa and fine dining round out the amenities at the destination, known for hosting politicians, celebrities, and other high-profile guests.

But as Western leaders indulge themselves in grandeur, their ongoing support for Zelensky’s increasingly quixotic war effort is isolating them on the world stage and alienating them among their own people, according to author Jeremy Kuzmarov. The managing editor of Covert Action magazine joined Sputnik’s The Final Countdown program Friday to discuss Ukraine’s self-proclaimed “peace summit,” which has been ridiculed for not including representatives from Russia.

The Justice Department determined Friday that Attorney General Merrick Garland didn’t commit a crime by failing to produce audio of President Joe Biden’s conversation with special counsel Robert Hur.

House Republicans had demanded the tapes after Hur cleared Biden of mishandling classified documents. Hur’s report also highlighted Biden’s trouble remembering things, including the year his son died.

The determination comes after a memo from the DOJ’s Office of Legal Counsel said Biden’s claim of executive privilege over the tapes protected Attorney General Merrick Garland from prosecution. That memo came before Republicans approved a resolution to hold Garland in contempt of Congress this week.

In a letter to House Speaker Mike Johnson, Assistant Attorney General Carlos Felipe Uriarte said Garland did not commit a crime.
