COMING UP SHORT THIS MONTH.
Thought for the day
"Politicians are the same all over: they promise to build a bridge even where there is no river." -- Nikita Khrushchev, Russian Soviet politician
A pro-family group called the American Principles Project (APA) released an ad in Arizona slamming Sen. Mark Kelly (D-AZ) for supporting “policies pushing transgender drugs and surgeries on kids.”
“We have an explosion of kids, rather suddenly, making an announcement that they are transgender,” child psychologist Miriam Grossman, M.D. says at the video’s start.
A narrator then states, “Democrats like Mark Kelly and Joe Biden support policies pushing dangerous transgender drugs and surgeries on kids, taking away parental rights,” as a graphic on the screen references Senate Bill 393, which Kelly and 45 other Democrats cosponsor.
George Washington University Law School professor Jonathan Turley has written that if it is illegal, as some Democrats have alleged, for GOP governors to move migrants across the country, then President Joe Biden is the “biggest ‘coyote’ in history.”
The term “coyote” refers to the smugglers who work for Mexican cartels and who are paid thousands of dollars per migrant to move human beings from points in Central America across the U.S. border, sometimes assaulting and robbing them en route.
Turley published a column Monday in response to calls by California Gov. Gavin Newsom (D) to have Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis (R) arrested for kidnapping after he flew 50 migrants to the wealthy liberal enclave of Martha’s Vineyard last week.
Other Democrats and liberal pundits made similar calls for DeSantis and Texas Gov. Greg Abbott, who bused migrants to Vice President Kamala Harris’s residence in Washington, DC, arrested for similar crimes, including “human trafficking.”
Worsening inflation (stemming from endless fiat currency money printing) is causing food, energy and housing to become unaffordable for millions of Americans, putting them on a trajectory of homelessness and destitution.
Right now, homeless encampments are expanding in cities like Los Angeles, Atlanta, Philadelphia and Oakland. The situation is bound to get far worse as inflation accelerates and people find themselves jobless due to plummeting economic activity while manufacturers downsize operations.
All across America right now, people are moving out of (unaffordable) apartments and rental homes, and moving into RVs or campers. Many of these people have jobs yet still can’t afford to save enough money for a down payment on a home. As economic conditions deteriorate, many of these people will move from RVs to cars or trucks… and then eventually to tents on the street. There, they are largely forgotten by the very same bureaucrats who promised them jobs and government assistance. Those are also the same bureaucrats who created the very problems that cause homelessness in the first place, such as worsening inflation by handing out stimulus money… or forcing small businesses to shut down over “covid” claims.
The controlled demolition of America is well under way.
Late last month, the California legislature voted to pass a bill that would allow the State to take custody of out-of-state minors seeking gender transition surgeries and cross-sex hormones – even if these actions go against the wishes of the child’s parents.
The “Walk it Back White House” strikes again. Why can’t this “administration” develop a consistent stance on seemingly anything? As reported by The Gateway Pundit, Joe Biden’s White House has already walked back Joe’s comments on China-Taiwan relations three times previously.
The current chief “diversity, equity and inclusion” officer at the Department of Defense‘s Education Activity office, who supervises the education of the children of Pentagon employees and overseas military members, issued a series of social posts disparaging white people.
Joe and Nurse Jill were late on Monday to Queen Elizabeth II’s funeral in London.
Huma Abedin was one of Hillary Clinton's closest aides during the 2016 US election. But the Democrat's campaign was seriously damaged by a scandal involving Ms Abedin's then-husband, disgraced former congressman Anthony Weiner.
Eleven days before the election, FBI director James Comey announced he was reopening an investigation into Mrs Clinton's use of a private email server.
That was after Mr Weiner's laptop was seized by officers over sexting an underage girl - something he was later jailed for - and emails between Ms Abedin and Mrs Clinton were found.
As she releases her book, Both/And: A Life in Many Worlds, Huma Abedin opens up to BBC Woman's Hour about the guilt she felt over what happened, and how Hillary Clinton reacted.
The Kremlin on Monday that "loud announcements" from US Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi on the causes of the border conflict between Azerbaijan and Armenia were unlikely to help stabilize the situation.
In a call with reporters, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said that a "quiet and businesslike approach" to the Armenia-Azerbaijan conflict would bear fruit.
Anthony Fauci is set to headline a major far-left conference whose lead sponsors include COVID-19 vaccine maker Pfizer, The National Pulse can reveal. Fauci will appear alongside race-baiter Ibram X. Kendi, White House Chief of Staff Ron Klain, Treasury Secretary Janet Yellen, and more.
Most recent data shows the seven-day average of new COVID cases continues to decline to about 60,000, while daily deaths from the disease are at an average of about 500.
"The pandemic is over. We still have a problem with COVID. We're still doing a low of work on it. But the pandemic is over. If you notice, no one's wearing masks. Everybody seems to be in pretty good shape, and so I think it's changing, and I think [the resumption of the Detroit auto show] is a perfect example of it," Biden said.
Hispanics voted in greater numbers for former President Donald Trump in 2020, a trend that could spell trouble for Democrats in this year's midterm elections, reports The Washington Examiner.
The growth in Trump's Latino support showed up in 2020 even though the former president lost to Joe Biden in the presidential election, earning the backing of about one in three Hispanic voters nationwide.
Close to 17 million Latino voters turned out in the 2020 general election and Trump won the highest share of the Hispanic vote of any Republican presidential nominee since George W. Bush in 2004.
There is no end to the ludicrous actions of Democrats as they continue to assert their nasty ways into the educational systems worldwide. The latest atrocity comes from a video that shows a high school teacher putting on obscene prosthetics to help him have a feminine appearance.
The gender-confused man thought it would be a great idea to teach his shop class to wear obscene materials. He also put on a blond wig, insanely tight shorts, and a shirt classified as a clothing violation.
The Post Millennial reported that a student wrote on Twitter, “The kids here most definitely don’t think [it’s] normal, but realistically we can’t say anything. The liberal ideology protects the predator from being fired because the liberals have made it illegal for a form of professionalism to be present in the classroom. Last year, the teacher was a man. I don’t think the school can fire him.”
After the death of fellow musician PnB Rock at Roscoe’s Chicken and Waffles in South LA, 64-year-old Rapper Ice-T took to Twitter, “People are still hitting me up about my comments about LA gang culture.” He had previously made comments about the gang culture not being a “game.” according to the Daily Wire.
A stalker found the Philadelphia artist, PnB Rock (a.k.a. Rakim Allen) and his girlfriend at Roscoe’s after she tagged the rapper in a now-deleted Instagram post.
Authorities believe PnB Rock was targeted because of a social media video showing him wearing expensive jewelry. The attacker attempted to rob him in broad daylight, just after 1 PM, approaching PnB Rock’s table, demanding items, and stealing a custom diamond chain. Then he fired upon the rapper,
US President Joe Biden says he told Chinese President Xi Jinping it would be a “gigantic mistake” to violate sanctions against Russia after its invasion of Ukraine.
The US president said he spoke with Xi after China’s leader met Russian President Vladimir Putin during the Winter Olympics in February. Russia attacked its neighbour shortly thereafter.
California Gov. Gavin Newsom is “undeniably, unequivocally” preparing to seek the Democratic presidential nomination in 2024 if President Biden decides not to run for a second term and is poised to take on Vice President Kamala Harris, according to a report on Monday.
Newsom, who recently challenged Florida’s Republican Gov. Ron DeSantis to a debate over his sending 50 migrants to Martha’s Vineyard, plans to make an announcement after the midterm elections once the president relays his intentions, The Wrap reported.
“No ifs, ands or buts. He will run if Biden does not,” a leading California fundraiser told the outlet.
The Kentucky Supreme Court has suspended an Eastern Kentucky prosecutor who promised to help a defendant in exchange for nude photos.
Ronnie Goldy is the commonwealth’s attorney for Bath, Menifee, Montgomery and Rowan counties. Although the court temporarily suspended him, it said in its Friday order that only the General Assembly can remove Goldy from office through impeachment, the Courier Journal reported.
The newspaper previously reported that Goldy exchanged 230 pages of Facebook messages with a female defendant. Goldy testified at a Sept. 8 hearing that he didn’t remember sending the messages but did not deny having done so. The woman has testified that in exchange for photos, Goldy withdrew warrants and had cases continued. She also said that she had sex with the prosecutor.
Ohio Supreme Court Chief Justice Maureen O’Connor will be leaving office at the end of the year and revealed she will become part of the anti-gerrymandering effort.
While delivering the “State of the Judiciary” at the Ohio Judicial Conference, O’Connor spoke about her next steps given she has been term-limited as the head of the state’s highest court.
O’Connor’s seat is on the ballot, meaning November’s Ohio Supreme Court races could change how redistricting cases are handled.
O’Connor voiced concern for Ohioans after a vast majority voted in favor of a constitutional amendment to reform the process of gerrymandering but it “didn’t work,” she claimed.
Reps. Liz Cheney, R-Wyo., and Zoe Lofgren, D-Calif., introduced legislation on Monday clarifying that the vice president has no authority to interfere with the counting of electoral votes in presidential elections.
The Presidential Election Reform Act is the culmination of the two lawmakers’ work on the Select Committee to Investigate the January 6th Attack on the United States Capitol. Cheney is one of just two Democrats on the committee, which has spent the last year investigating what they describe as an attempted coup to overturn the results of the 2020 election.
Cheney and Rep. Adam Kinzinger, R-Ill., have supported Democratic conclusions that the demonstrators who appeared at the Capitol on January 6 were directed by former President Donald Trump, and that Trump pressured his vice president, Mike Pence, to refuse to count the electoral votes from certain states in his role as presiding officer during the joint session of Congress where votes are counted.
A federal appeals court has issued a ruling regarding a Justice Department motion to gain access to classified documents seized from former President Donald Trump’s Mar-a-Lago estate last month.
The 11th Circuit Court of Appeals on Saturday evening gave Trump’s attorneys until Tuesday at noon to file a response to the DOJ’s request to continue using the documents in its investigation, Fox News reported.
Tuesday is also when attorneys for the former president and the Justice Department are to meet with special master Raymond Dearie in New York City.
Former chief federal judge Dearie, who was appointed as a special master by U.S. District Judge Aileen Cannon earlier this month, directed attorneys for both parties to meet for a “preliminary conference,” Fox News reported Friday. Cannon previously barred the Justice Department from accessing the seized documents until Dearie has had an opportunity to review them for claims of executive and attorney-client privilege.
The Kremlin says US House Speaker Nancy Pelosi’s “loud announcements” about the latest clashes on the border conflicts between Azerbaijan and Armenia are unlikely to contribute to settling the tension.
The Kremlin’s spokesman Dmitry Peskov told reporters on Monday that a "quiet and businesslike approach" to the border conflict between the two countries would bear fruit.
“Anything... done in a quiet and businesslike approach can contribute to the normalization of relations, the stabilization of the situation on the border, all this can be welcomed. Can such high-profile actions and statements really contribute to the normalization of the situation? Let's see.”
The U.S. military just told it’s own soldiers to use food stamps to keep their families fed during this ongoing period of high inflation, caused by the Biden regime’s own flawed economic analysis, coupled with the establishment’s COVID-19 lockdowns, and the war in Ukraine.
Which is why the full list of the $15bn+ in aid being sent to Ukraine by the U.S. government is likely to hit harder in the solar plexus.
The Cape Cod Times reported the Massachusetts National Guard escorted 50 illegal aliens from Martha's Vineyard to Joint Base Cape Cod on Friday.
EPA lists Joint Base Cape Cod as a Superfund site.
Make that a Sanctuary Superfund site.
A Russian diplomat said civilian satellites could be legitimate military targets in a statement that seems to refer to Starlink providing broadband access in Ukraine. Civilian satellites "may become a legitimate target for retaliation," the Russian official said in a statement to the United Nations' open-ended working group on reducing space threats.
The quote is from an unofficial English translation of the statement on September 12 by Konstantin Vorontsov, head of the Russian delegation to the United Nations Office for Disarmament Affairs (UNODA) working group. The translation is provided with other countries' statements from the session on the UNODA's meeting website.
We would like to underline an extremely dangerous trend that goes beyond the harmless use of outer space technologies and has become apparent during the events in Ukraine. Namely, the use by the United States and its allies of the elements of civilian, including commercial, infrastructure in outer space for military purposes. It seems like our colleagues do not realize that such actions in fact constitute indirect involvement in military conflicts. Quasi-civilian infrastructure may become a legitimate target for retaliation.
Elon Musk filed an amended countersuit against Twitter, claiming the allegations by Twitter's former security chief, Peiter "Mudge" Zatko, give Musk new legal grounds to kill the merger deal.
"Needless to say, the newest revelations make undeniably clear that the Musk Parties have the full right to walk away from the Merger Agreement—for numerous independently sufficient reasons," the amended countersuit claims. "In short, the Musk Parties and Twitter's many other investors were sold a different company than the Twitter that actually exists—one that was more valuable, more popular, more secure, and more compliant with governing law."
The amended countersuit was filed under seal last week and a public version was released yesterday. Delaware Court of Chancery Judge Kathaleen McCormick had granted Musk's request to amend the countersuit but rejected his attempt to delay the trial by at least four weeks, so the trial is still scheduled to begin October 17.
The White House walked back comments President Biden made about sending U.S. troops to defend Taiwan in the event of a Chinese invasion.
Biden made the remarks during a “60 Minutes” interview that aired Sunday.
Correspondent Scott Pelley asked the president if the US military would defend the democratic government of Taiwan should China take inspiration from Russia’s invasion of Ukraine and attack the self-governed island.
“[W]ould US forces defend the island?” Pelley asked in the interview taped on Thursday.
“Yes, if in fact there was an unprecedented attack,” the president said.
The Commissioner of Immigration Affairs for the city says that a lot of the migrants being bussed from Texas by Gov Greg Abbott are coming from Venezuela.
Manuel Castro claims that the majority of illegal immigrants that have arrived to New York want to go to Florida because of their large community of Venezuelans.
His comments come just days after Mayor Eric Adams was seen with celebrities during New York Fashion Week, shortly after telling reporters that the cities shelters were at ‘breaking point’.
Adams was snapped partying at the exclusive members-only club Aman New York in the Crown Building last night.
Castro told Fox News: ‘Many want to go to places like Florida where the largest community of Venezuelans live.
The War Room/DailyClout’s Pfizer Documents Research Volunteers — a group of medical and scientific experts who have selflessly stepped up to analyze the tens of thousands of formerly internal Pfizer documents released under court order subsequent to a lawsuit by Aaron Siri’s firm, Siri & Glimstad, and a FOIA by Public Health and Medical Professionals for Transparency — have now fully demonstrated that Pfizer’s mRNA vaccines target human reproduction in comprehensive, likely irreversible ways.
