Thought for the day
The US fossil fuel industry had harsh words for President Joe Biden after OPEC announced dramatic production cuts, saying that the administration now has no choice but to encourage more domestic output.
'The White House has one option left and it is the one option they should have never turned away from in the first place - the US-based oil and gas industry,' tweeted the US Oil and Gas Association on Wednesday.
'Life comes at you pretty fast....' the trade group added in a mocking jibe, following OPEC's announcement that it will slash oil production by about 2 million barrels per day, constraining supply at a time when gas prices are already painfully high.
In order to qualify for a monkeypox vaccine injection in San Francisco, one must not be heterosexual or have white skin, according to the San Francisco Department of Public Health (SFDPH).
An official government flier spotted in the city’s South of Market neighborhood explains that participants in the monkeypox jabbing program must “belong to one of the following priority populations: Black, Indigenous, people of color, gay, bisexual, transgender, or a current sex worker of any gender and orientation.”
The SFDPH also tweeted an image of the flier – see below – that clearly markets monkeypox shots to San Francisco’s fetish-driven population, referencing a “Leather & LGBTQ Pop-Up” event (whatever that is).
A startling report published earlier this week by Politico admitted what a growing number of Westerners and especially Americans have suspected for quite some time: The world literally is being run by Microsoft founder Bill Gates.
According to Dr. Joseph Mercola, the story essentially noted these main points:
— The Sept. 14 Politico special report was based on interviews with four dozen U.S. and European officials as well as global health officials who admitted that the global COVID-19 response is being run by a computer nerd who made his fortune building substandard computer platforms;
— A quad of health organizations — The Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, GAVI, the Coalition for Epidemic Preparedness Innovations (CEPI) and the Wellcome Trust — quickly took over the global response to the pandemic, and while they all claim that they are independent groups, in fact, they were all either founded by or are funded by Gates himself;
— As the outbreak first began to spread, the Gates Foundation, GAVI, CEPI, and the Wellcome Trust started to coordinate their actions such as identifying vaccine makers while funding vax tests, drug treatments and mRNA injections, while also putting together a global distribution system in a collaboration with the World Health Organization — but they failed to actually meet their own objectives on all fronts;
Within hours of the attack on the September attack on the Nordstream pipelines, a consensus emerged that the Americans did it, in spite of the fact that the mainstream media were united in blaming Russia. Only the Americans had the motive and the means. The evidence was circumstantial but irrefutable. Within hours of the attack on Nordstream, the video of President Biden’s February 2022 press conference with German Chancellor Olaf Scholz was making the rounds on the internet. In response to a question from a reporter in February, Biden said in no uncertain terms that if Russia invaded the Ukraine, America would take out the Nordstream pipelines. The video of Victoria Nuland saying the same thing also started circulating within hours of the attack.
Historically, the attack fit into the pattern of Anglo-American foreign policy like a hand in a glove. The Nordstream pipelines were a clear violation of the Mackinder thesis, which has been the hidden grammar of American foreign policy for over a century, a fact corroborated by both Donald Trump, who opposed Nordstream as president, and his opponent Ted Cruz, who said that there was bipartisan agreement on the threat which Nordstream posed to American interests.
Ever since Halford Mackinder wrote The Geographical Pivot of History at the beginning of the 20th century, the goal of Anglo-American foreign policy has been to thwart any unification of the Eurasian landmass because, according to Mackinder, the country which controls Eurasia controls the world. Any rapprochement between Russia and Germany posed an existential threat to Anglo-American hegemony. When the Kaiser and the Czar, cousins by blood, threatened to collaborate, Winston Churchill and Lord Grey lured both countries into a war which pitted them against each other, ensuring a favorable outcome for Oceania, the name George Orwell gave to the island nations which made up the Anglo-American Empire in his dystopian novel 1984.
The Biden administration is deepening its effort to focus on reducing racial inequity with the formation of a new advisory committee that will help the Treasury Department carry out policies that aim to narrow economic disparities faced by communities of color.
The Treasury Advisory Committee on Racial Equity will include 25 members from academia, business and advocacy groups. It will convene four times a year to evaluate and offer guidance to the Treasury Department and its leadership on an array of programs that touch nearly every corner of the economy.
Biden administration officials say the focus on equity will help unlock economic potential that has for decades gone untapped.
One of the biggest stories of the 2022 midterms is the shift of Latino voters to Republicans.
People started talking about the change in early 2022. Then the election of Republican Latina Mayra Flores in Texas confirmed it was really happening.
Vice President Kamala Harris was involved in a minor car accident Monday, one that was initially — and falsely — dismissed as “mechanical failure.”
Harris was heading to the White House just before 10:30 a.m. Monday when the driver of her SUV “had a minor overcorrection and struck a curb,” Secret Service spokesman Anthony Guglielmi confirmed.
The impact was hard enough that the tire needed to be replaced, bringing the VP’s motorcade to a standstill, sources told The Washington Post.
America’s national debt has now climbed past $31 trillion dollars.
Pennsylvania is one of the closest watched senate races in the 2022 midterms.
A few months ago, the Democrat John Fetterman looked like a lock, but Dr. Oz has worked very hard to change the balance.
Over the summer, Democrats and the media were pushing a narrative about the midterms looking good for the Democrats, but it was all smoke and mirrors.
A total of four female athletes have filed a lawsuit in Connecticut after they say that women's sports have been robbed by the transgender policies currently held in the state.
Selina Soule is one of the four female athletes that brought the lawsuit. She told Fox News that Connecticut's transgender policies are "unfair" and disadvantage female athletes in their various sports.
The Connecticut Department of Education has included transgender athletes in its non-discrimination policies since 2017. Their stance is that gender identity falls under Title IX. Title IX is a law that prohibits discrimination in sports based on sex. Schools that violate these policies are not permitted to receive federal funds from the government.
The Palestinian Hamas resistance movement has censured British Prime Minister Liz Truss for calling herself a “huge Zionist” who wants to strengthen London’s relationship with Tel Aviv, saying the comments are in line with the UK’s 1917 Balfour Declaration, which set the stage for the creation of the Israeli regime and occupation of Palestine.
“Her statements about supporting Zionism mean she is standing at the Zionist regime’s side and supporting aggression against the Palestinian nation,” Hamas spokesman Sami Abu Zuhri said in a statement.
France has been forced to tap into its strategic fuel reserves to resupply gas stations that have run out of fuel as strikes by workers at refineries and depots disrupt production for a second week.
The French government said on Wednesday that the country had used strategic fuel reserves to resupply stations.
Government spokesman Olivier Veran acknowledged “tensions” but said there was no shortage of fuel stocks on a national level. He urged consumers not to panic-buy.
“We are obviously monitoring very, very closely the situation together with the operators; and, here and there, when it was necessary, we have used our strategic stocks to enable the stations to be supplied,” Veran told reporters.
He said roughly one in every 10 service stations nationally had been experiencing some shortages, but the figure in the north of the country had been closer to one in three.

The Organization for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) views Ukraine as a potential member, Ukrainian Prime Minister Denis Shmygal said.
"In Lugano in July this year, I handed a Ukrainian accession application to OECD Secretary-General Mathias Cormann. Last week, I spoke online at the opening of an OECD Council session, where the application was considered. Mr. Cormann said today that the Organization is launching an initial dialogue on Ukraine's accession," Ukrainian media quoted Shmygal as saying on social media on Wednesday.
"After that, the OECD Council will begin discussions and preparations for drafting a road map. We are also working on the soonest possible opening of an OECD office in Ukraine," he said.
"How will the accession to the OECD benefit Ukraine? The organization is a so-called club of successful countries accounting for over 62% of global GDP. Admitting Ukraine to the company of developed countries is an important marker of our country's preparedness for joining the EU and a message to foreign companies that Ukraine is a promising place for investment and business development," Shmygal said.
Russia is insisting on access to the Nord Stream investigation and is ready to start supplying gas via Nord Stream 2 in the event of the relevant decision by the European regulator, Russian Deputy Prime Minister Alexander Novak said during a Rossiya 24 TV channel broadcast.
"As of today, Denmark and Sweden have announced that they have launched an investigation [into the Nord Stream incident]. Unfortunately, neither the Nord Stream project operator nor our entities, Gazprom - the principal owner of the respective critical infrastructure - and Rostekhnadzor have not been permitted to take part in the investigation. We believe that such an investigation must be carried out objectively, with the participation of Russian specialists, in order to provide an objective picture of what happened. And only after that will it be possible to draw the appropriate conclusions. That is why we insist on this participation and, accordingly, expect that such work will be carried out jointly with our specialists," the deputy prime minister said.
"At the moment there is no answer yet, and we see that the investigation itself has not actually started, it has only been announced. So far, the situation that is happening with the release of gas has not yet been completed, and the work that would allow the examination to begin has not yet started," he added.
Warren Buffett's favorite energy company as of late has been Occidental Petroleum. He has increased Berkshire Hathaway's stake in the company with oil/gas operations in the US, Middle East, and other parts of the world to 21% and received regulatory approval to acquire up to 50%.
Buffett's aggressive buying of Occidental comes as CEO Vicki Hollub warned that a massive gap between supply and demand for oil had been masked by historical releases of the strategic petroleum reserve under the Biden administration.
"The lack of supply will continue to manifest itself as China starts to open up from Covid," Hollub explained in an interview on the sidelines of the Energy Intelligence Forum in London, Bloomberg quoted.
She warned the world is at risk of 'living with a shortage for a while' that will send prices higher, adding the lack of supply will become more evident in the first quarter of 2023.
To get an idea of Biden's political emptying of the SPR ... there are only 22 days of supply left.
Defense attorneys in the Oath Keepers seditious-conspiracy trial renewed their request to block federal prosecutors from mentioning two hand grenades allegedly brought to the Washington area after they discovered that DNA found on the grenades does not belong to Florida Oath Keepers member Jeremy Brown.

Attorneys for Oath Keepers defendants Kenneth Harrelson and Kelly Meggs filed a motion (pdf) with U.S. District Judge Amit Mehta asking him to reconsider his Sept. 6 ruling allowing the U.S. Department of Justice to mention the hand grenades in the ongoing trial of four Oath Keepers and one associate.
“New evidence draws into question the issue of Jeremy Brown’s possession of the two hand grenades as there was extensive forensics testing of the hand grenades that failed to result in a match to Brown or his dog that rode in the RV to attend and perform security details at the January 6, 2021 rally,” the new motion said.
Despite gas prices rising over the past weeks, retail gas stations are seeing their margins decrease, putting a strain on such businesses.
The national average price of regular gas, as of Oct. 5, was $3.831 per gallon, up $0.26 from the previous day, $0.66 from a week back, and $0.45 a month ago, according to data from American Automobile Association (AAA). In contrast, profit margins of gas stations have gone down.
“OPIS MarginPro shows retail gas margins are ~18cts/gal nationwide. That’s down 17cts/gal in a week; 25cts/gal in a mo.; and 54cts/gal lower than end 1Q 2022. When one considers operating costs (labor, credit card fees, etc.), many stores are under water,” noted Tom Kloza, an expert on North American fuel markets, a tweet. on Oct. 4.
In 2021, the gross margin on gasoline was $0.309 per gallon, or 10.2 percent of the $3.03 per gallon average price, according to global trade association NACS. In the previous five years, retail gross margins on gas averaged $0.272 per gallon, which comes to 10.7 percent of the gas price.
The US is increasingly involved in a dangerous tit-for-tat with North Korea while supporting its South Korean ally. Following Pyongyang's ultra-provocative intermediate range missile test a day ago, which saw a North Korean missile fly high over Japan, the US has repositioned a nuclear-powered aircraft just off the Korean Peninsula.
"The aircraft carrier USS Ronald Reagan is now in the Sea of Japan, a Navy spokesperson confirmed Wednesday, returning to the area after the warship concluded an exercise with the South Korean and Japanese navies on Friday," Politico writes.
The carrier repositioning also comes amid joint US-South Korean military drills. "In an immediate response to the launch, four U.S. and four South Korean fighter jets dropped bombs on an uninhabited island in the Yellow Sea, while U.S. and Japanese warplanes also flew together over the Sea of Japan," Politico continued
Late Wednesday, the government of Kim Jong-un has reacted, denouncing the US carrier group's presence as a threat to regional stability.
As Moscow’s envoy addressed the United Nations, the Pentagon announced a list of new weapons for Kyiv. This is seen as provocation and advancement of war on the part of the United States, and one Russia warns could result in a “direct military clash.”
Diplomat Konstantin Vorontsov told the UN General Assembly on Tuesday that the U.S.’s continued supply of weapons to Ukraine will only be tolerated for so long. Moscow’s envoy was speaking after the Pentagon announced the contents of another military shipment to Ukraine, valued at $625 million.
“The US is increasing the deliveries of weapons to Ukraine, providing its military with intelligence information, ensuring the direct participation of its fighters and advisers in the conflict,” Vorontsov, who is the deputy head of the Russian delegation, told the General Assembly’s First Committee, a body charged with arms control and security issues. This “not only prolongs hostilities and leads to new casualties, but also brings the situation closer to the dangerous line of a direct military clash between Russia and NATO,” Vorontsov added.
Republican Mayra Flores stunned the world of politics and media earlier this year when she won a special election in southern Texas.
No biodefense research is purely defensive – to do the work, you’re automatically engaged in the creation of biological weapons.
Early on in the Covid pandemic, Francis Boyle, PhD., was sure it was the result of a lab leak. He believes monkeypox is another lab creation, as it now suddenly has 30 mutations from the wild monkeypox found in Africa.
President Biden recently signed the ‘Executive Order on Advancing Biotechnology and Biomanufacturing Innovation for a Sustainable, Safe and Secure American Bioeconomy’, and this order basically promises we’ll see additional manmade pandemics.
Section 12, paragraph VII in Biden’s executive order states that the purpose of the order is to “develop and work and promote and implement … dual-use research of concern, and research involving potentially pandemic and other high-consequence pathogens.”

One warm weekend in October of 2020, three impeccably credentialed epidemiologists—Jayanta Bhattacharya, Sunetra Gupta, and Martin Kulldorff, of Stanford, Oxford, and Harvard Universities respectively—gathered with a few journalists, writers, and economists at an estate in the Berkshires where the American Institute for Economic Research had brought together critics of lockdowns and other COVID-related government restrictions. On Sunday morning shortly before the guests departed, the scientists encapsulated their views—that lockdowns do more harm than good, and that resources should be devoted to protecting the vulnerable rather than shutting society down—in a joint communique dubbed the “Great Barrington Declaration,” after the town in which it was written.
The declaration began circulating on social media and rapidly garnered signatures, including from other highly credentialed scientists. Most mainstream news outlets and the scientists they chose to quote denounced the declaration in no uncertain terms. When contacted by reporters, Drs. Anthony Fauci and Francis Collins of the NIH publicly and vociferously repudiated the “dangerous” declaration, smearing the scientists—all generally considered to be at the top of their fields—as “fringe epidemiologists.” Over the next several months, the three scientists faced a barrage of condemnation: They were called eugenicists and anti-vaxxers; it was falsely asserted that they were “Koch-funded” and that they had written the declaration for financial gain. Attacks on the Great Barrington signatories proliferated throughout social media and in the pages of The New York Times and Guardian.
Yet emails obtained pursuant to a FOIA request later revealed that these attacks were not the products of an independent objective news-gathering process of the type that publications like the Times and the Guardian still like to advertise. Rather, they were the fruits of an aggressive attempt to shape the news by the same government officials whose policies the epidemiologists had criticized. Emails between Fauci and Collins revealed that the two officials had worked together and with media outlets as various as Wired and The Nation to orchestrate a “takedown” of the declaration.
One of the world’s largest open-access journal publishers is retracting more than 500 papers, based on the discovery of unethical actions.
London-based Hindawi, which publishes more than 200 peer-reviewed journals across multiple disciplines, stated that its research team identified in June “irregularities” in the peer review process in some of the journals.
“All Hindawi journals employ a series of substantial integrity checks before articles are accepted for publication. Following thorough investigation, we identified that these irregularities in the peer review process were the result of suspicious and unethical activities. Since identifying this unethical activity and breach of our processes, we began proactively adding further checks and improving our processes and continue to do so,” Liz Ferguson, a senior vice president for John Wiley & Sons, Hindawi’s U.S.-based parent company, said in a Sept. 28 statement.
As a result of the investigation, 511 papers will be retracted.
The papers have all been published since August 2020.
Sixteen journals published the papers that are being retracted.
Some of the authors and editors who contributed to the articles may have been “unwitting participants” in the unethical scheme, according to Ferguson. She said the scheme involved “manipulation of the peer review process and the infrastructure that supports it.”
Richard Bennett, vice president of researcher and publishing services for Hindawi, told the Retraction Watch blog that the review uncovered “coordinated peer review rings,” which featured reviewers and editors coordinating to get papers through peer review.
Neither Ferguson nor Bennett identified any of the suspects.

Police are routinely breaking the law to enforce the law, which is patently absurd. Smart meter data is on electricity usage is sent via WiFi to the utility company, recording detailed activities within the home or business. Thus, there is no longer expectation of “sanctuary” within your own home. Detailed surveillance has been a key plank of Technocracy since its original creation in 1932.
As a reminder, I have warned about Smart Meters since their massive kickoff was started in 2009 by President Obama. Those who decided to fight based on health concerns of radiation came up mostly empty-handed. The fight should have been over exactly what is happening in this story: institutionalized violation of all privacy. ⁃ TN Editor
The Sacramento Municipal Utility District (SMUD) searches entire zip codes’ worth of people’s private data and discloses it to police without a warrant or any suspicion of wrongdoing, according to a privacy lawsuit filed Wednesday in Sacramento County Superior Court.
SMUD’s bulk disclosure of customer utility data turns its entire customer base into potential leads for police to chase and has particularly targeted Asian homeowners, says the lawsuit filed by the Electronic Frontier Foundation (EFF) and law firm Vallejo, Antolin, Agarwal, and Kanter LLP on behalf of plaintiffs the Asian American Liberation Network, a Sacramento-based nonprofit, and Khurshid Khoja, an Asian American Sacramento resident, SMUD customer, cannabis industry attorney, and cannabis rights advocate.
It is amazing to me that we seem to have complete idiots driving these events and they think that they can just intimidate whoever. All my sources state clearly that China and North Korea will join Russia against this climate change and authoritarian vision of a one-world government. Biden is incompetent and he just said he intends to run for a second term in 2024. Zelensky, who says whatever the Biden Administration writes on his teleprompter, that he will now only negotiate with Russia after they overthrow Putin. The theory that overthrowing dictators in the Middle East and the people will cheer us and celebrate with some ticker-tape parade has been the delusion of warmongers. They are once again doing the same thing in Russia, This time, the hardlines are not going to be as timid as Putin. My sources have NEVER been wrong!
