"Space science, like nuclear science and all technology, has no conscience of its own. Whether it will become a force for good or ill depends on man. And only if the United-States occupies a position of preeminence can we help decide whether this new ocean will be a sea of peace or a new terrifying theatre of war. I do not say that we should or will go unprotected against the hostile misuse of space, any more than we go unprotected against the hostile use of land or sea. We set sail on this new sea because there is new knowledge to be gained, and new rights to be won, ***and they must be won and used for the progress of all people." -- John F. Kennedy, speech at Rice University, 12 September 1962
A research team based out of the University of Waterloo has developed a drone-powered device that can use WiFi networks to see through walls.
The device, nicknamed Wi-Peep, can fly near a building and then use the inhabitants’ WiFi network to identify and locate all WiFi-enabled devices inside in a matter of seconds.
The Wi-Peep exploits a loophole the researchers call polite WiFi. Even if a network is password protected, smart devices will automatically respond to contact attempts from any device within range. The Wi-Peep sends several messages to a device as it flies and then measures the response time on each, enabling it to identify the device’s location to within a metre.
President Joe Biden (D) urged Americans to unite around shared values during a speech he delivered Wednesday night where he repeatedly demonized tens of millions of Republicans as a threat to the country.
Warning that democracy itself is in peril, President Joe Biden called on Americans Wednesday night to use their ballots in next week’s midterm elections to stand up against lies, violence and dangerous “ultra MAGA” election disruptors who are trying to “succeed where they failed” in subverting the 2020 elections.
This is no time to stand aside, he declared. “Silence is complicity.”
After weeks of reassuring talk about America’s economy and inflation, Biden turned to a darker, more urgent message, declaring in the final days of midterm election voting that the nation’s system of governance is under threat from former President Donald Trump’s election-denying lies and the violence Biden said they inspire.
The president singled out “ultra MAGA” Republicans — a reference to Trump’s “Make America Great Again” slogan — calling them a minority but “driving force” of the Republican Party.
The New York attorney general's office released a sweeping report Wednesday that detailed an elaborate cover-up at the highest levels of CBS in late 2017 and 2018 to try to contain allegations of sexual harassment by former chief Leslie Moonves.
The report comes five years after a Los Angeles Police Department captain tipped off CBS executives, telling them a woman had come to the department's Hollywood station to report that Moonves had allegedly assaulted her in the 1980s.
"Somebody walked in the station about a couple hours ago and made allegations against your boss regarding a sexual assault," the police captain said in a Nov. 10, 2017, voicemail message left for a CBS executive, according to the report. "It’s confidential, as you know, but call me."
The United States voted against this resolution because it is based on disinformation, dishonesty, bad faith, and a total lack of respect for this body. The Biological Weapons Convention is important. It addresses the grave threat posed by biological weapons. The United States takes its responsibility seriously, and fully complies with and fulfills its obligations under the BWC. That includes assisting partners around the world to strengthen global health security and reduce the impact of infectious diseases on their societies.
Colleagues, we cannot allow such lifesaving cooperation to be stigmatized. Russia tried, and failed, to claim that we had violated the BWC at the Article 5 meeting in Geneva this past September. Russia failed to provide any credible evidence to support these false allegations. Despite Russia’s abuse of the process, and precisely because we respect the BWC and its provisions, the United States and Ukraine went through Russia’s allegations in Geneva, point by point, and debunked every single one.
President Joe Biden said on Wednesday that threats by some Republican candidates to refuse to accept results from the Nov. 8 elections if they lose is a threat to democracy and he blamed former President Donald Trump for inspiring them.

The man accused of breaking into House Speaker Nancy Pelosi’s house and attacking her husband with a hammer could be deported from the U.S. after he is released from custody, the Department of Homeland Security said Thursday.
U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement, or ICE, lodged an “immigration detainer” on 42-year-old Canadian national David DePape, DHS told CNBC in a statement.
The detainer requests that the San Francisco County Jail notify ICE before DePape is done serving time so that the immigration officers can take custody of him. ICE places immigration detainers on arrested individuals who it believes it can deport under the Immigration and Nationality Act.
Webmaster addition: That's one way to keep reporters from talking to him!
If the pandemic brownshirts get “amnesty” for setting a generation of children back two grades and wishing unemployment and even death on skeptics of a hastily formulated COVID vaccine, you can bet they’re going to seek a mulligan for another cause in a year or two: The systematic maiming of thousands of kids who became confused about their gender.
Pro-life individuals and organizations have been targets of violence at a significantly higher rate than their pro-abortion counterparts in the wake of the Dobbs decision.
On October 31, the Crime Prevention Research Center (CPRC) released a list of cases across the United States, outlining violence against both pro-life and pro-abortion groups. Despite mainstream media coverage focused on the abortion advocates, the information gathered proves that pro-lifers experienced threats and violence in far greater numbers.
“We identified 135 attacks on pro-life entities and people between when the [Supreme Court opinion] leak occurred and September 24th, 2022,” the report states. “By contrast, only six cases involve pro-choice [sic] people attacked.”
Two GOP lawmakers are looking for answers after a recent report regarding Amtrak executives receiving six-figure bonuses despite the company losing money and receiving billions in taxpayer-funded support.
Officers from Mayor Lori Lightfoot’s security detail intervened during a robbery Tuesday morning and exchanged gunfire with the suspects, according to Chicago police. No one was struck by gunfire, but an officer suffered minor injuries.
In a statement, police said that at about 7 a.m., on-duty officers, assigned to the detached services unit, saw a robbery taking place in the 1800 block of North Monticello Avenue. The officers encountered several people at least one of whom was armed — and gunfire was exchanged, police said.
Pennsylvania Lt. Governor and Democratic Senate candidate John Fetterman purchased a $75,000 property in Braddock from his own nonprofit for a mere $1,100, according to a complaint from the Center for Accountability and Government Ethics.
The British ambassador arrived at the Russian foreign ministry on Thursday morning, a Reuters journalist at the scene reported, after she was summoned to discuss Moscow's claims that Britain was involved in a Ukrainian drone strike on Russia's Black Sea Fleet in Crimea.
Russia temporarily suspended participation in a U.N.-brokered Black Sea Grain Initiative on Saturday after what it said was a major drone attack on vessels in the Bay of Sevastopol on the Crimean peninsula, which Russia annexed from Ukraine in 2014. Russia's defence ministry said the attack was carried out under the guidance and leadership of British navy specialists, an assertion Britain has dismissed as false.
Russia resumed its participation in the deal on Wednesday after it said Kyiv had given guarantees such an incident would not happen again, but President Vladimir Putin has said Russia reserves the right to withdraw from the initiative in the future. Putin has also said Britain was behind attacks on the Nord Stream pipelines in September that have put the multi-billion dollar gas link between Russia and Europe out of use, possibly permanently.
A 49-year-old author, who seemed to take delight in those who died from COVID while not having taken the jab, reportedly died this past October, with reports saying the author passed away due to cardiac arrest.
On October 26th, Julie Powell died of cardiac arrest at her home located in upstate New York, leaving behind her husband with whom she bore no children with during their marriage.
The author gained fame in the early 2000s with her personal blog documenting her attempt to recreate every recipe from Julia Child’s “Mastering the Art of French Cooking,” which eventually was turned into a novel in 2005 and was adapted to the big screen in 2009’s “Julie & Julia.”
But like many people in close proximity to or having direct conduit with the liberal elites in Hollywood, Powell wasn’t exactly the warmest person with regard to those who lean right of center or who opposed things like forced COVID shots and mask mandates.
The United States Capitol Police reportedly captured the entirety of the break-in at Nancy Pelosi’s house on its own camera feed, which would confirm the existence of video footage of the assault that took place against her husband last week.
According to NPR, an anonymous source who is allegedly “familiar with the investigation” first told the Washington Post that the Capitol Police had cameras installed in the house as a safety measure for the security of the Speaker of the House. However, since Pelosi herself was not home at the time of the incident, the feeds were not being monitored as closely as they would be if she had been home. Nevertheless, Capitol Police officers were able to use the video footage to coordinate with the San Francisco Police Department in the aftermath.
On Friday, Pelosi’s husband Paul was alone in the home when he was attacked by 42-year-old David DePape, a known far-left activist who advocated for such causes as marijuana distribution and public nudity. DePape, a registered member of the Green Party who had been critical of Democrats for years for not being as far-left as he would like, allegedly attacked the 82-year-old Paul Pelosi with a hammer at about 2:30 in the morning, supposedly shouting “where’s Nancy?”
Thanks to fear-mongering about COVID-19, Big Pharma has injected over 613 million doses into Americans with its mRNA jabs. Meanwhile—warning of an alarming rise in the flu, RSV, and other ailments—mainstream media, Big Pharma, and its cohorts at U.S. government agencies remain ferociously intent on frightening the general population into falling prey to additional big-business healthcare solutions as they peddle upcoming illnesses. Presently, the race to market a Respiratory Syncytial Virus (RSV) vaccine is at a fever pitch among the pharmaceutical giants, with top analysts pointing out in late 2021 that “No doubt there is a certain appetite in vaccine companies to capitalize on the excitement and interest created by COVID to advance development of other respiratory virus vaccines.” Indeed, as seen in the video below, on June 16, 2021, SVB Leerink Director of Therapeutics Research and Senior Biotechnology Analyst Geoffrey Porges elaborated on the remarkable “holy grail” vaccine opportunities COVID presents to investors.
