Thought for the day

"We hang petty thieves and appoint the great ones to public office." -- Aesop, Greek slave & fable author

A week ago on Monday the Stasi-FBI and Joe Biden’s Department of Justice raided President Trump’s Mar-a-Lago home in a 9-and-a-half hour siege on his historic compound.

The Justice Department intends to unseal additional documents connected to the FBI search at President Donald Trump’s Mar-a-Lago estate but is urging a federal court to maintain the secrecy of the sworn affidavit describing the basis for the search.

The DOJ is particularly concerned that the release of details from the affidavit might harm ongoing efforts to interview witnesses, given the threats to federal agents in wake of the Mar-a-Lago search.

The House’s third-ranking Republican on Friday ripped the Justice Department and FBI for targeting former President Donald Trump in an unprecedented raid on his Mar-a-Lago property a week ago.

Rep. Elise Stefanik, head of the House Republican Conference whose name has been mentioned as a potential running mate for Trump in 2024, argued that Americans have plenty of reasons to be suspicious of the raid. A member of the House Intelligence Committee, the New York Republican also pledged oversight hearings if her party retakes control of the chamber in the November midterms.

I had lost all hope for the FBI. I wrote them off because I thought if anyone in the “rank and file” was still a good egg, they would have blown the whistle by now. So, in my book, the entire organization was rotten from root to stem… But I may have been wrong about that because now I am hearing we’ve got a lot of whistleblowers. Almost a dozen, to be exact. And Jim Jordan said they’re coming forward because they’re disgusted over the FBI raid and the complete politicization of the bureau.

Okay, this sounds like some hope and progress…
