Thought for the day

"We hang petty thieves and appoint the great ones to public office." -- Aesop, Greek slave & fable author

The Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) has so far randomly audited 24 sheriff’s offices in Missouri in search of concealed carry weapon (CCW) details, but they all refused to comply, according to law enforcement authorities.

“None released anything pertaining to CCWs themselves, but some did partially comply by answering procedural questions on issuing CCWs,” said Moniteau County’s Sheriff Tony Wheatley.

In the picture, Rittenhouse, who posed with an unidentified officer from the Thrall Police Department, could be seen grinning from ear to ear in front of a patrol vehicle.

"Make those stops, you never know who you might meet," the post originally read. "Today it was Kyle Rittenhouse; welcome to Texas."

Rittenhouse, 19, became notorious for his murder trial and subsequent acquittal after shooting three men, two fatally, in what he testified was self-defense throughout riots in Kenosha, Wisconsin, in August 2020, following the shooting of Jacob Blake.

Well, if you call 911 they will tell you to stay on the line. I won't. I have a written plan to follow and I will follow it.

As to 911, “I need police and ambulance at {address}, I am a victim of a crime, I have shot the intruder in self defence. I am {description of me and my clothing}, my gun is secured, the front door is unlocked, I am going to hang up to go provide first aid.”

In just the last few months, the Internal Revenue Service has bought almost 5,000,000 rounds of small arms ammunition — spending almost $700,000 in the process.

The obvious question is why would a bunch of bean counters who spend their days staring at computer screens need to stock up on millions of rounds of ammo?

There’s a well-known old fable that describes a frog being boiled alive. It states that if a frog is dropped in boiling water, it will hop out. But if it’s placed in lukewarm water, it will be comfortable. Then, if the heat is turned up slowly, it will not perceive the danger and will be boiled to death.

In political terms, this translates into a slow increase, say, the slow rise of taxation or the gradual removal of freedoms.

But there’s another way to boil the electorate of a country: have them become willing participants in their own demise.

The Biden administration argued this week that medical marijuana users should not be allowed to possess firearms because they are engaged in “criminal activity” that makes them “dangerous,” according to a Florida lawsuit challenging the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives’ (ATF) gun ban for users of medical marijuana.

The US Department of Commerce Census Bureau is demanding gun holster makers and retailers turn over customers’ order numbers, product descriptions and shipping information, according to letters from the agency obtained by AmmoLand News last month. Those who don’t comply could face fines of up to $10,000.

Pelosi

During that time, “we witnessed gun crime with assault weapons drop by up to 40 percent,” Pelosi said on the House floor during the recent debate.

The number of murders with rifles actually increased slightly when the ban went into effect,” John R Lott Jr., the president of Crime Research, told The Epoch Times, referring to data from the FBI’s annual release of reports from law enforcement agencies on homicides by weapon type. Lott also pointed out that no one collects data on all crimes committed with so-called assault weapons.
