The Russian Aerospace Forces (VKS) destroyed six terror bases, three workshops and a drone depot in the northwestern Syrian region of Greater Idlib, Captain 1st rank Oleg Ignasyuk, deputy chief of the Russian Center for Reconciliation in Syria, announced in a briefing on October 17.

“The Russian Aerospace Forces continued to carry out airstrikes on illegal armed groups involved in acts of provocations in the Idlib de-escalation zone,” the Russian military official said. “The airstrikes destroyed six militant bases, three workshops and a drone depot, as well as a training camp, a stronghold and ammunition depot belonging to the illegal armed groups,” he specified.”

VKS warplanes carried out nearly 70 strikes against Greater Idlib, which is occupied by al-Qaeda-affiliated Hay’at Tahrir al-Sham (HTS) and its allies, in the last few days. The strikes reportedly killed or wounded dozens of terrorists.

An armed raid on St. Michael’s Cathedral in the Ukrainian city of Cherkasy on Thursday directly stems from the policies adopted by Kiev, which is selling out its people to the West, senior Russian diplomat Rodion Miroshnik has stated, condemning the raid.

Miroshnik, who leads a special mission in the Russian Foreign Ministry to record and expose Ukrainian crimes, denounced the seizure as “blunt and grim lawlessness covered up by the gang of [Vladimir] Zelensky.”

The church, which was built two decades ago and is the largest temple in modern Ukraine, was in the process of being seized from the Ukrainian Orthodox Church (UOC). The initial raid was launched during a night service by armed men in military-style clothes. In the morning, many of the faithful who answered the diocese’s call to defend the cathedral managed to oust the raiders but, hours later, a second attack succeeded.

A military chaplain with the Kiev-backed Orthodox Church of Ukraine (OCU), a rival of the UOC, has declared that the cathedral is now a military church. In the future it will host a center for “national patriotic education, a Sunday school and a school for chaplains,” Vladimir Pedko said on Facebook. Ukrainian officials have claimed that Thursday’s events were part of a lawful transfer of the church to the OCU.

The Ukrainian Orthodox Church (UOC) has little choice but to “go underground” after being forced out of its main place of worship in the central city of Cherkasy, the leader of the diocese has said.

Dozens of men in military-style clothing stormed St. Michael’s Cathedral, the largest church in Ukraine, early on Thursday morning. The raiders were initially repelled by members of the church, but a renewed assault hours later resulted in the Kiev-backed Orthodox Church of Ukraine (OCU) seizing control of the building.

The Ukrainian government has been cracking down on the UOC for years, claiming that the organization does the bidding of the Russian government. Ukrainian officials described the transfer of the Cherkasy cathedral as “peaceful.”

Quinnipiac’s poll found Kamala Harris holding a six-point lead over Trump in Pennsylvania.

Democrats and their allies in the media grew cocky over these poll numbers as the candidate who wins Pennsylvania is likely to win the election.

Pennsylvania Senator John Fetterman is not among those measuring the drapes.

In an interview at the 2024 Atlantic Festival, Fetterman warned that Kamala Harris was making tactical errors and was underestimating Trump’s reservoir of support in Pennsylvania.

In a discussion on immigration, Vance informed Americans about the plight of the residents in Springfield, Ohio. 

Springfield is a town with a population of 58,000. 

Kamala Harris flew in 20,000 Haitian migrants and granted them amnesty through the Temporary Protected Services (TPS) program. 

After Vance finished his answer, Brennan jumped in with a “fact check” falsely claiming the Haitians came into the country legally. 

“Just to clarify for our viewers, Springfield, Ohio does have a large number of Haitian migrants who have legal status,” Brennan stated.

Vance then explained how Kamala Harris and Joe Biden exploited loopholes in the law to grant amnesty to illegal aliens like the Haitian migrants. 

“So there’s an application called the CBP One app, where you can go on as an illegal migrant, apply for asylum or apply for parole, and be granted legal status at the wave of a Kamala Harris open border wand,” Vance stated. 

As Vance began to correct Brennan, the moderators turned off his microphone.

Netanyahu has said Israel will attack Iran before US election day November 5th. Some say this will happen even before October 22nd which is the first day of the BRICS Summit in Kazan, Russia. Vladimir Putin has met with Masoud Pezeshkian, the President of Iran. They will meet again as they will be signing a Strategic Partnership treaty after the BRICS Summit.

The Israelis sent a military passenger jet to Moscow with a delegation aboard to plea for Russia to restrain the Iranian response to their coming attack. Not sure of the outcome of these talks.

Radio host Dan Bongino issued a strong statement to fact-check a campaign account for Vice President Kamala Harris after it claimed former President Donald Trump ended an interview early because he was tired.

Bongino, who interviewed Trump on Friday, said the presidential candidate stayed longer than what was originally scheduled and had to leave because of other events that were planned for the day.

"Trump abruptly ends his live interview after it is reported that he is canceling interviews because he is 'exhausted': 'Off the record, I gotta get going,'" Kamala HQ posted on X.

"BULLS**T. He stayed LONGER than planned and signed a baseball and other items for charitable hurricane relief for another 10 mins afterwards. You can shove this absolute bulls**t right up your a**," Bongino replied.

The video quickly went viral on social media after critics pointed out that having 14 government workers standing around to clear out logs was one of the least efficient ways to get the work done.

"And every single one of these people is drawing a full salary, pension benefits and medical benefits. While getting almost nothing done. Imagine that," responded author Mike Adams.

"Is it just me or is this an insane waste of resources? Put the @cbp officers on the border to stop #fentynal and hire some folks with chainsaws -- what am I missing?!" replied Leland Vittert of NewsNation.

"We can get 14 federal officers to move an 18-inch log, but we can't get one Secret Service Agent to check out a sloped roof. Sadly, that tracks," said Virginia Kruta of the Daily Wire.

"What the f*** am I watching? A couple of wheelbarrows, and you could do the same job with three or four guys. This right here is why government doesn't work and can't solve problems," read another tweet.

CNN chief media analyst Brian Stelter provided a prime example of how out of touch members of the mainstream media are by making comments about how great his quality of life is compared to that of most Americans.

It started during Thursday's edition of "CNN Newsnight with Abby Phillip." CNN contributor Shermichael Singleton noted many Americans are fed up seeing so much money being spent overseas in multiple countries while things like infrastructure and school systems in the United States are deteriorating.

Stelter characterized such criticisms as unamerican.

"I don't live in that country, by the way. America is not that horrible. ... I live in a normal city, in a normal town. I love New York, but my roads are not crumbling. My schools don't suck. I just get tired of the anti-America rhetoric," Stelter, 39, said.

Stelter later wrote on X that Singleton had 'obviously' misrepresented his point.

"Well, maybe you're fortunate enough to put your kids in darn good schools ... but there are a lot of Americans in this country who aren't wealthy, who don't live in great cities, who do have to send their kids to terrible schools. That is a fact because of their zip codes," Singleton replied with emphasis. "And to sit here arrogantly and say, 'Well, my kids go to great schools. I live in a great neighborhood.' That's your experience!"

Vice President Kamala Harris has repeatedly insisted that American voters "turn the page" but has struggled to explain how she plans to do so.

Most recently, Fox News anchor Bret Baier held Harris' feet to the fire during an interview Wednesday night when he pressed the presidential hopeful on her administration's unpopularity. Baier pointed out that the majority of Americans believe the country is on the wrong track under the Biden-Harris administration.

"Why are they saying that if you're turning the page?" Baier asked Harris. "You've been in office three and a half years."

"And Donald Trump has been running for office," Harris replied.

Baier reminded Harris that she has been holding the office this term, not former President Donald Trump.

President Donald Trump helped raise money for New York City's most vulnerable women and children Thursday evening by bashing Kamala Harris, suggesting that some of her remaining male supporters are cuckolds and insinuating that Minnesota Gov. "The Democrats have been telling us Trump's re-election is a threat to democracy," said Gaffigan. "In fact, they were so concerned of this threat that they staged a coup, ousted their democratically elected incumbent, and installed Kamala Harris."

Pennsylvania Sen. Bob Casey Jr. put out a new campaign ad Friday distancing himself from President Joe Biden, aligning himself with President Donald Trump, and altogether omitting any mention of Kamala Harris.

While Casey, the son of former Pennsylvania Gov. Bob Casey Sr., might simply be attempting to draw moderate and independent supporters away from Trump-backed challenger David McCormick — the combat veteran MSNBC talking head Chuck Todd recently predicted would win — keen observers have suggested the ad is a telltale sign that Democrats know Pennsylvania is going for Trump.

The ad features a couple who "just don't agree" on politics but found their way to agreeing that Casey is worth their time.

The woman textually introduced as Marygrace of Old Forge claims that Casey is an "independent" who is "leading the effort to stop corporate greedflation and price gouging."

The dinner opened with Gaffigan brutally annihilating Harris for skipping the Catholic event.
