President Joe Biden struggled on Monday in his first remarks since his disastrous debate performance last week and refused to answer all questions from reporters.

As the Biden presidency teeters in the wake of last week's disastrous debate performance that left no doubt about his sharp mental decline, discussion of Vice President Kamala Harris's prospects for becoming the party's new 2024 standard-bearer tend to focus on her (lack of) electability and Democrats' reluctance to pass over a black woman who holds the title that makes her a natural successor.

Little attention has been paid to what might be Kamala's greatest asset: her name on the $91.2 million Biden-Harris campaign account. Per federal election rules, in the event Biden drops out, that account can't simply be handed over to whomever the party eventually nominates for president -- unless it's Harris.

Nobody likes to lose but leftists take indignant defeat to a whole new level.  Though they claim to "defend democracy" in their spare time, Democrats also have a tendency to abandon the democratic process when that process interferes with their intentions to remain in power.

Case in point: The Supreme Court's recent decision to give immunity from prosecution to Donald Trump in the case of "some official acts" taken during his tenure in office.  Leftists have responded with outrage at the 6-3 decision with much of their political hopes resting on the strategy of burying Trump in as many legal battles as possible to keep him from running for president again.  Democrats are now flooding social media and the news feeds with suggestions that the SC decision makes it possible for Joe Biden as president to eliminate the conservative competition "as a part of his official duties."

Webmaster addition: Assassinating a political rival is NOT an official duty of the President. But this does remind us that liberals can and do resort to violence if they don't get their way!

The Trump/Biden debate exposed to the world what many conservatives have known for years: Biden’s cognitive decline is a true liability for the United States.

Whether Biden’s display was planned or not, one thing is certain: Democrats will have to dig into their bag of tricks to maintain power.

Their prime weapon? Public health crisis.

John Leake, journalist and lead investigator for Dr. Peter McCullough’s McCullough Foundation, said:

HHS Will Likely Declare a Bird Flu Public Health Emergency in Coming Months… Per the Public Health Service (PHS) Act and the Public Readiness and Emergency Preparedness Act (PREP) Act, U.S. government agencies may declare a Public Health Emergency based on very thin—if not outright fabricated—evidence of a threat to public health…

Generally speaking, powerful state actors and interest groups do not chatter about major public policy issues just for fun. They do so because they have a plan in the works.

The plan is H5N1 Bird Flu.

Trump’s former CDC Director Dr. Robert Redfield confirms the inevitable:

It’s not a question of if, it’s more of a question of when we will have a bird flu pandemic,” Redfield told News Nation.

“Once the virus gains the ability to attach to the human receptor and then go human to human, that’s when you’re going to have the pandemic. And as I said, I think it’s just a matter of time.”

The number of Ukrainian recruits who do not want to fight is proliferating despite the military facing a major manpower shortage, The Guardian reported. Although Ukraine has secured money and weapons from the West to aid in the war effort, at least for the next few months, manpower shortage is one issue that cannot be resolved.

“I want to leave the country. My mind can’t take being trapped here any more,” said Dmytro, a 31-year-old potential recruit. “I never thought about leaving until the mobilisation laws were introduced. But I can’t stay in my flat forever.”

The Kharkov native told the British newspaper that he had approached individuals online who promised to facilitate his escape from Ukraine for at least €8,000, an astronomical amount considering the average salary in the country is about €550.

“I am not made for war. I can’t kill people, even if they are Russians. I won’t last long on the front … I want to build a family and see the world. I am not ready to die,” he said, adding that although he did not trust the human traffickers, he had no other choice.

California's largest insurer has given the state's government an ultimatum as the cost of providing cover continues to soar.

State Farm on Thursday told California's Department of Insurance to let them raise home insurance rates for millions of citizens, or they will ax cover.

The move by the insurance giant comes amid a growing insurance crisis in California.

A slew of insurers - including Allstate, Farmers Direct and State Farm in a previous move - have limited cover or stopped doing business entirely in the Golden State

They blame the intensifying risk of climate disasters.

As a result, more than half of all Californians say they have been affected by rising property  or have been dropped by their insurer in the last year. With so few firms offering cover, they cannot simply move to a new provider.

Webmaster addition: Of course they blame climate change. No mention of out-of-control crime or failing infrastructure or budget cuts to first responders.

Churchgoers are now arming themselves and signing up for 'warrior training' before heading into weekly services, as violent attacks in houses of worship surge nationwide.

Sheepdog Church Security, founded by Kris Moloney in 2014, is one company that trains volunteer safety and security teams to protect houses of worship while keeping 'faith at the center.'

When he first founded the company Moloney didn't have much competition, but 10 years later, church attacks are at an all time high and the protection industry is booming.

Maloney, who has a background in the military and law enforcement, initially ran a safety team at his own church in Minnesota. Since then, he's trained over 6,000 people in houses of worship nationwide.

Vice President Kamala Harris has been officially called upon to remove Joe Biden from office by invoking the 25 Amendment.

In the wake of Biden’s performance Thursday night in the first debate with President Donald Trump, a leading House Republican filed a resolution in Congress urging Harris to “discharge the duties and powers of his office.”

It comes as even Democrats, Biden supporters, and their corporate media allies described the president’s performance as poor.

However, few have suggested a need to invoke the 25th Amendment.

Such a move would Harris replace Biden as POTUS – an outcome not welcomed by all sides.

The Palestinian Foreign Ministry has slammed Israel for targeting the Christian community in Palestine, particularly in al-Quds, by illegally imposing taxes on churches.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates of the State of Palestine in a statement on Saturday voiced its strong condemnation of Israel’s recent move to impose taxes on churches, their institutions, and properties in the occupied city of al-Quds through what it refers to as “occupation municipalities.”

A Palm Beach County prosecutor painted two girls molested by Jeffrey Epstein as prostitutes, drug addicts, thieves and liars in front of a grand jury empaneled in 2006 to review the state’s criminal case against sex trafficker Jeffrey Epstein, newly released court documents show.

Palm Beach County Judge Luis Delgado unsealed the controversial grand jury records on Monday after years of legal action by the Palm Beach Post and other media, including the Miami Herald, CNN and the New York Times. Grand jury records are normally kept under seal to protect witnesses as well as the integrity of the case. But in the years since the Epstein case was closed in 2008, the Miami Herald uncovered evidence suggesting that Epstein and his battery of high-priced attorneys may have exerted undue influence over the state attorney.

The records have remained under seal for 16 years. Earlier this year, Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis, prodded by state lawmakers and Palm Beach County Clerk of Courts Joe Abruzzo, signed a bill to release the files by July 1. The new bill provides for the records to be unsealed if the subject of a grand jury inquiry is dead or the investigation involves sexual activity with a minor.

At a time when leftists across America are increasingly disenchanted with President Biden, Republican operatives are quietly working to give them an alternative -- by gathering signatures necessary to ensure that firebrand independent candidate Cornel West is on the ballot in swing states, according to reporting by NBC News

In an election year in which non-major-party candidates -- led by independent Robert F. Kennedy, Jr -- are poised to take the largest share of the presidential vote in years, the effort is clearly intended to siphon off some leftists who might otherwise reluctantly vote for Biden -- or his replacement. In a close race, even a nominally-modest number could have a major impact.

Ukraine has revived its talking point and demand that NATO 'close the skies' over Ukraine, which was first featured heavily in the wake of the February 2022 Russian invasion. When this was initially suggested, the idea was that Western jets would intervene or else US anti-air systems would be set up across Ukraine.

But now Ukrainian officials have shifted their request, to involve the establishment of US Patriot systems along Ukraine's Western border from where they would provide protection. Ukrainian parliament member Oleksiy Goncharenko told AFP, "I don’t understand why NATO doesn’t deploy Patriot systems along the Polish border."

Following this weekend's conclave between President Joe Biden and his family advisors, a 'massive' PR campaign is underway to reject calls for him to drop his re-election campaign and rally Democrats to stop publicly debating about his age and future, Axios reports.

According to the report, Biden has 'zero interest' in stepping aside, while First Lady Jill Biden, family and friends agree despite the fact that the Democratic party doesn't want him to continue following last Thursday's horrendous debate that validated years of reporting on the president's cognitive decline.

Biden, who has avoided tough interviews and taking actual questions during press conferences, is now considering doing so in a town hall format, or a big one-on-one interview, or both.

This weekend's Sunday gathering at Camp David included a 'long-scheduled session with celebrity photographer Annie Leibovitz, while the Bidens insisted that Joe stay in the race.

Ukraine may declare a fiscal default as early as August if authorities fail to reach an agreement with creditors on debt restructuring, a deal that seems unlikely, British magazine The Economist reported on Monday.

Ukraine could default on its government debt within weeks — wrecking chances of fixing the damage done by NATO's proxy war with Russia.

"Ukraine has a month to avoid default," British magazine The Economist reported. "The IMF is keen for [Minister of Finance of Ukraine] Mr [Serhiy] Marchenko to negotiate a write-down, but a deal seems unlikely in the time available."

Bloomberg reported that Kiev was unable to strike a deal with creditors during the first round of negotiations regarding the restructuring of its $20 billion debt.

MINSK (Sputnik) - Ten NATO battalion tactical groups remain stationed near Belarus's border with European Union member states, Belarusian Chief of the General Staff Pavel Muraveiko said Sunday.

"Today we have 10 battalion tactical groups of NATO with a total strength of over 20,000 people located near our border," the First Deputy Defense Minister told All-National Television. "Six of these groups are American. Why fly here from overseas and deploy a contingent here? They said it was temporary."

Muraveiko recalled there is an adage that goes, "nothing is more permanent than something temporary," adding that such proximity is "bothering and straining."

The U.S. Supreme Court's ruling on presidential immunity leaves Judge Tanya Chutkan to determine how much of the federal criminal case involving Donald Trump's efforts to overturn his defeat to Joe Biden in the 2020 election can survive.

The 6-3 ruling on Monday, with the court's conservatives in the majority, declared that Trump has broad protection from criminal prosecution for actions that fell within his official responsibilities as president under the U.S. Constitution.

The court delegated to Chutkan, a judge on the U.S. district court in Washington, the complex task of determining how to apply that immunity in the four-count criminal indictment obtained last year by Special Counsel Jack Smith. Chutkan will have to conduct a detailed examination of the indictment to determine which of Trump's actions were official and must be stricken from the case and which were private acts that can proceed to trial.

Over the course of his presidency, Joe Biden’s small clutch of advisers have built an increasingly protective circle around him, limiting his exposure to the media and outside advice — an effort to manage public perceptions of the oldest person to ever hold the office and tightly control his political operation.

But inside the White House, Biden’s growing limitations were becoming apparent long before his meltdown in last week’s debate, with the senior team’s management of the president growing more strictly controlled as his term has gone on. During meetings with aides who are putting together formal briefings they’ll deliver to Biden, some senior officials have at times gone to great lengths to curate the information being presented in an effort to avoid provoking a negative reaction.

“It’s like, ‘You can’t include that, that will set him off,’ or ‘Put that in, he likes that,’” said one senior administration official. “It’s a Rorschach test, not a briefing. Because he is not a pleasant person to be around when he’s being briefed. It’s very difficult, and people are scared shitless of him.”

The official said, “He doesn’t take advice from anyone other than those few top aides, and it becomes a perfect storm because he just gets more and more isolated from their efforts to control it.”

A county in Missouri has been deemed a 'cancer cluster' due to World War II-era radium used in America's atomic bomb efforts littering the region.

For decades, residents of St Louis County have raised concerns about a spike in cancer diagnosis - and specifically those living just outside the West Lake Landfill.

The landfill has held thousands of tons of radioactive waste and contaminated soil since 1973 when drums containing the chemicals were illegally dumped by a contractor for the Cotter Corporation.

The state launched a cleanup for the site this year, revealing Monday that discovered the toxins have contaminated nearby groundwater in Bridgeton that sits northwest of the St Louise Lambert International Airport.

Former President Donald Trump’s lawyers have asked the New York judge who presided over his hush money trial to set aside his conviction and delay his sentencing, scheduled for next week.

The letter to Judge Juan M. Merchan cited the U.S. Supreme Court’s ruling earlier Monday on presidential immunity and asked the judge to delay Trump’s sentencing while he weighs the high court’s decision and how it could influence the New York case, according to the letter obtained by The Associated Press.

The lawyers argue that the Supreme Court’s decision confirmed a position the defense raised earlier in the case that prosecutors should have been precluded from introducing some evidence they said constituted official presidential acts, according to the letter.

In prior court filings, Trump contended he is immune from prosecution for conduct alleged to involve official acts during his tenure in office. His lawyers did not raise that as a defense in the hush money case, but they argued that some evidence — including Trump’s social media posts about former lawyer Michael Cohen — comes from his time as president and should have been excluded from the trial because of immunity protections.

After Biden’s horrific debate performance on Thursday, much of the media world reluctantly conceded that our 46th president looks like a lost toddler.

And then there’s Vogue — which literally couldn’t stop the presses. The fashion-bible-turned-Dem-PR-machine was already rolling out its July issue, with cover model Jill Biden in a silk cream Ralph Lauren dress that retails for $4,990.

The magazine landed on the internet Monday morning with a resounding, wincing thud.

It was tone deaf. It was tacky — but this shoot and interview, conducted months ago, would have been messy even if the debate disaster had never happened.
