The biggest news story in the nation comes from the conviction of former President Donald Trump in the New York “hush money” trial. Every media outlet has covered it nonstop since the jury decision was announced and Democrats have shouted in glee over the decision.

What happens next remains to be seen. Trump is set for sentencing just days before the Republican National Convention where the GOP presidential nominee will be decided. No one knows how the anti-Trump judge presiding over the case will rule when it comes to jail time.

Alan Dershowitz, a noted attorney and constitutional scholar, believes he knows exactly what will happen. The nation is facing a situation that has never been a part of the U.S. judicial and political systems.

From the Daily Caller:
“I don’t know whether the case will be reversed on appeal. I don’t think it would be reversed by the appellate division,” Dershowitz continued. “These are judges who are terrified of being perceived of as helping Trump in any way.”

He believes the appellate judges are as biased against Trump as the jurors. A Manhattan jury of five women and seven men convicted Trump on 34 counts of falsification of business records Thursday after nearly 12 hours of deliberations.

Dershowitz characterized the conviction as another step toward the nation’s judicial system functioning like a third-world country where political power trumps the rule of law.

“This is a very sad day for American justice. I have now added one banana to my usual banana republic: A grouping, umm, we’re up to seven or eight at this point- and it’s a worse day for America than it actually is for Donald Trump,” Dershowitz said.

This week, the New York jury in the Democrat-led trial against Trump found him guilty. Democrats are ranting across the Internet, claiming that Trump is now a “convicted criminal.”

Huh, Trump was indicted by Democrats, tried by Democrats, and found guilty by Democrats. Does that sound legitimate to you?

His legal team will appeal the ruling. The many problems with this case (such as a Biden donor presiding over it) could be grounds for it to get thrown out. But even if an appeals court refuses, legal experts are calling forth the Supreme Court. And the highest court in the land might have something to say about this sham trial.

From Daily Wire:
The guilty verdict against former President Donald Trump reached by a Manhattan jury on Thursday could ultimately be reviewed by the U.S. Supreme Court, legal experts said…

Trump’s legal team could make “constitutional arguments that his right to a fair trial was violated.” …

“Ultimately, I think the Supreme Court, if he doesn’t win on appeal, will take this up and reverse,” the attorney said. “This is a political prosecution. We are better than this as a country and this cannot stand.”

Leftists love to insult people they believe they can bully and control. This has been going on for years as Democrats’ political control over their most supportive demographics continues to fade.

People around the country have been waking up to how the leftists really feel about them. Faithful Democrats are realizing they are considered as nothing more than election fodder to the politicians they support. Once the votes are tallied, the Democrats shift from focusing on the people to pushing their personal agendas.

Heading into the 2024 presidential election this fall, Democrats are furious that anyone who traditionally supported them would dare begin to think outside the leftist narrative. These leftists are now insulting the very people that have supported them for generations and the leftist mouthpieces in the media are leading the charge.

From Blaze Media:
Ana Navarro has gone after fellow Latinos who have expressed their support for former President Donald Trump amid the 2024 presidential election. She said their behavior toward immigration is “very stupid,” according to the Daily Mail.

She said that some among the Latino population have forgotten about their own roots and believe that being anti-immigrant will allow them to better assimilate into American society. She went on to suggest that such a mindset contributes to the fissuring in American society.

Bill Maher has been a champion of the left for years, but now he has become a critic of his like-minded crowd. Instead of the ever-present cheerleader for leftists, he is holding liberals’ feet to the fire on any number of issues.

He has been on a media tour promoting his book about how he as a comedian will shock people. He certainly shocked the leftists at CNN when he slapped the younger liberal generation in the face.

Maher called out younger leftists who tend to act like most people from the younger generations. They seem to think that the latest shiny new object is the greatest thing since sliced bread. Maher brought the young ones back to reality.

From The Daily Wire:
Over the weekend, Bill Maher, the host of HBO’s “Real Time,” told Fareed Zakaria of CNN that the ideas of leftists are “stupid.”

“They’re wrong, “Maher responded bluntly. “I mean, they’re wrong and the kids are crazy. It’s interesting, they have this idea the younger generation, maybe every generation does, that just because something is new makes it better and that’s not true. New is not synonymous with better.”

Ever since the days of the court jester it has been a relief from oppression to laugh at the seat of governmental power. Today the jesting falls to comedians who have for years been threatened and often silenced by fear thanks to leftists in power.

The brazen woke movement of recent years influenced many up-and-coming comics so much they often disappeared from news headlines. They were afraid to mock political and government officials for fear of being cancelled.

What they needed was a comedic icon to step back into the spotlight and lead the way out of the woke darkness. Comics have that in the legendary Jerry Seinfeld who just hammered leftists and their ideals about masculinity.

From Blaze Media:
“I miss a dominant masculinity,” Seinfeld said. “Yeah, I get the ‘toxic’ — thank you, thank you — but still, I like a real man.”

He added that “as a man — can I say that? — I’ve always wanted to be a real man; I never made it. But I really thought when I was in that era — again it was JFK, it was Muhammad Ali, it was Sean Connery, Howard Cosell, you can go all the way down there, ‘that’s a real man. I wanna be like that someday.'”

One could almost hear the wailing of leftists emanating from their safe place along with the sound of snowflake tears hitting the ground. His comments struck true to the heart of leftists attempts to destroy the masculinity of men.

The Russian military launched on June 1 a group strike against Ukraine, targeting energy facilities powering the country’s military-industrial complex as well as depots of Western-made weapons and ammunition.

The group strike was carried out in response to recent “attempts by the Kiev regime to damage Russian energy and transport facilities,” the Russian Ministry of Defense said in a statement.

“The goal of the strike has been achieved. All the assigned targets have been engaged,” the ministry added.

The command of the Ukrainian Air Force alleged that air defense shot down 35 of 53 missiles and 46 of 47 drones which were launched by the Russian military during the attack. However, official Ukrainian sources reported damage in at least five different regions.

Ukraine’s Energy Minister, Herman Halushchenko, acknowledged in a statement on social media that energy infrastructure in the Zaporizhzhia, Dnipropetrovsk, Donetsk, Kirovohrad and Ivano-Frankivsk regions were struck.

Late on May 31, one Hezbollah member was killed and another wounded in an Israeli attack in the town of Ain Qana, Xinhua reported, citing Lebanese military sources. Another Israeli raid in the town of Adloun in the Sidon district killed a woman and wounded four other civilians, according to the Chinese news agency. Hezbollah acknowledged the death of a fighter after the strikes.

The Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) later said it struck “significant assets” of Hezbollah in Ain Qana, Aadloun and the town of Hmaileh.

Hundreds of thousands participated in a peace march in Hungary’s capital, Budapest on Saturday, denouncing the EU’s policy of escalating tensions with Russia. The event culminated with a speech by Prime Minister Viktor Orban, who accused Brussels of bringing Europe closer to a global conflict.

The demonstrators marched from the iconic Chain Bridge to Margaret Island on the Danube River.

Many carried flags, chanted pacifist slogans, and held signs reading “No war” and “Give us peace, Lord.”

“Never before have so many people lined up for peace. We are the biggest peace corps, the largest peacekeeping force in Europe,” the prime minister said, as quoted by Reuters. “Europe must be prevented from rushing into war, into its own destruction.”

The head of NATO's military committee, Admiral Rob Bauer, has said that NATO can now declare war over a cyber attack . .

"We have agreed in NATO that a cyber attack can, in principle, be a reason to invoke Article 5" said Admiral Bauer.

So now not only a real attack, but also a cyber attack can be a reason for a NATO Member to Declare Article 5 Collective Self Defense. The result will, of course, be all the military actions that follow.

But it's important to find out who organized the attack. Regardless of the route, the servers and their location, and whether the countries in which these servers are located were aware of the attack, the main thing is to identify the organizer of the attack. If the attacker is unknown, you don't have enough data [to declare war on anyone].

Unless you manufacture it yourself . . . .

The United States will launch TWO separate Minuteman III nuclear-capable inter-continental Ballistic Missiles, one on June 4, and another on June 6.   One might think they are "posturing" to Russia.

However, the stated goal of the launches is to demonstrate the readiness of American nuclear forces and nuclear deterrents.

Russia has been warned in advance about the launches, which will take place on June 4 and 6, the US Air Force command said in a statement.

Marie-Agnes Strack-Zimmermann of the Free Democratic Party (FDP) in Germany's legislature, the Bundestag, is calling for the activation of 900,000 German military reservists.

“Putin is trimming his people for war and positioning them against the West. Therefore, we must become capable of defending ourselves as quickly as possible," said the chairwoman of the Bundestag defense committee to the newspapers of the Funke media group (Saturday).”

“Russia only produces weapons. Textbooks are printed that portray Germany as the aggressor. Primary school children are trained on the weapon. All this is frightening,” said Strack-Zimmermann.

"The Russian attack against us has already begun," Strack-Zimmermann told the Funke newspapers, referring to cyber attacks, espionage and deliberately triggered refugee movements.

"We must be aware that the war in Ukraine affects us directly." If Putin is successful, he will "continue his raids," Strack-Zimmermann said, referring to Georgia and Moldova. And when Putin thinks that the time has come, "he will also attack the Baltic States."
