On Tuesday, the U.S. Senate approved a bill aimed at streamlining the construction process for nuclear plants, making it faster and more cost-effective.

Members of the Senate Environment and Public Works (EPW) Committee, from both the Democratic and Republican parties, hailed the legislation as a crucial move towards a cleaner energy future.

The bipartisan ADVANCE Act, seen as a victory for the nuclear power industry, passed the Senate with an 88–2 vote. Senators Ed Markey (D-Mass.) and Bernie Sanders (I-Vt.) were the only ones who opposed the bill.

Presumptive Republican nominee Donald Trump leads Joe Biden by 18 points in Iowa, putting the incumbent on pace for the worst Democratic presidential performance in the Hawkeye State in 100 years, according to a new Des Moines Register/Mediacom poll.

Trump leads Biden 50%-32% among likely voters, according to the survey released Monday.

If it holds, Biden would garner the least amount of votes for a Democrat in Iowa since John W. Davis got 16.42% in 1924, Newsweek reported. Republican presidential candidate Calvin Coolidge earned 55% in that election.

Biden is polling below Jimmy Carter, who got 38.6% of the Iowa vote against Ronald Reagan in 1980.

Trump took Iowa in 2016 with 51% of the vote and expanded that to 53% in 2020.

Anytime you assume that Gov. Gavin Newsom’s California state government has achieved peak regulatory insanity, rest assured you will soon find your assumption was mistaken.

The latest example of the effort by California Democrats to force the Golden State into full energy collapse comes from the California Air Resources Board (CARB), which recently applied to the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) for a waiver under the Clean Air Act that would enable it to implement new regulations forcing the electrification of freight trains.

Just one problem: The electric trains that CARB wishes to force into action beginning in 2030 do not currently exist.

Oh.

A grand opening ceremony will be held Wednesday for a high-rise building in downtown Los Angeles that will house homeless individuals.

There are 278 units in the 19-story development known as the Weingart Tower. It's intended to help people currently without shelter on Skid Row and it will be L.A.'s largest permanent support housing project.

The building will have an entire floor of offices for case workers, in addition to a list of impressive amenities: a gym, art room, music room, computer room and library.

Residents will enjoy six common balconies and a café.

It's considered affordable housing, but the cost to build this type of project still adds up. Each unit costs nearly $600,000 and it's being funded by taxpayers.

Mexico is now officially a military ally of Russia, which is considering placing missiles on Mexican territory in order to attack the United States.

Former U.S. Air Force officer Jake Broe took to X to announce that Kremlin State TV announced Russia's new allyship with Mexico, warning that Russia is piece by piece, brick by brick surrounding America with intent to destroy it.

"Russians on Kremlin State TV yesterday declared that Mexico was their military ally and they are wanting to place their missiles on Mexican territory so Mexico can attack the United States," Broe tweeted. "This is insane."

NATO activates its nuclear "shield" fully confirming War News 24/7 for the permanent vigilance from now on of the nuclear member countries of the Atlantic Alliance.

The decision was made a long time ago as NATO fears either a strike on one of the supply bases of the Ukrainian ED or the use of tactical nuclear weapons in Ukraine.

We remind you that the Royal Netherlands Air Force assumed a nuclear role in NATO with F-35 fighters from June 1. The USAF will transfer additional F-35s for a nuclear strike on Great Britain, while Norway's F-35s are also ready.

Russia, North Korea and China are adjusting the final details for the new front to be opened in East Asia, that of South Korea and Japan.

B. Putin and Kim Jong Un will upgrade the relationship between the two countries to the level of "Strategic Partnership".

The talks will be held at Kim Jong Un's residence, both in a narrow and extended format. The most "important and sensitive" issues will be discussed during a long informal conversation between the leaders of the countries, which will take place during a walk in the residence and during tea drinking, as was the case with Chinese President Xi Jinping during the recent visit of the Russian president to China.

President of Ukraine Vladimir Zelensky the day before, June 17, signed a law on improving basic combined arms training. According to the law published on the website of the Verkhovna Rada, combined arms training is being introduced for students in secondary and higher educational institutions of Ukraine.

According to the law, combined arms training will be carried out within the framework of the subject “Defense of Ukraine” for high school students and students of vocational educational institutions. One of the goals of such training in the text of the document is called “preparing citizens for national resistance.”

The curriculum, according to the Verkhovna Rada website, consists of six modules. Thus, terrain orientation, shooting training, UAV control skills and information warfare will be taught.

Ukraine is under martial law, introduced after the entry of Russian troops on February 24, 2022. Since May 18, a new law on mobilization has been in force in the country. On January 29, Anne Marie Murphy and two of her colleagues at law firm Cotchett, Pitre & McCarthy, LLP in Santa Monica, California filed a lawsuit in Superior Court on behalf of a 76-year old widow, Diane Artemis Yaffe.

Scammers had tricked Ms. Yaffe into making seven wire transfers out of her Chase Bank account, which tallied up to the astonishing sum of $1.8 million, or the bulk of her funds at the time.

There are three things which jump out of the factual details in the case that would appear to be legally problematic for Chase Bank – the federally-insured, retail banking unit of JPMorgan Chase Bank, N.A. First, the six figure wires were completely out-of-character for this elderly client. Second, the huge sums were being wired out of the country. Third, the funds that Chase Bank wired were originally at Bank of America and were only transferred to Chase Bank because Bank of America had the good sense to refuse to make the wire transfers for this elderly widow.

But rather than accept responsibility and make the widow whole, JPMorgan Chase has hired the international corporate law firm, Steptoe, to represent it in the court case. The bank has also forced the removal of the case out of state court to federal court (a move which is being very competently challenged by Ms. Yaffe’s attorneys), and appears ready to engage in copious motions to drag out the case.

US B-2 Spirit stealth bombers flew to the Pacific last week to participate in the large-scale joint exercise Valiant Shield 2024. The exercise took place around Guam, Palau, and the Northern Mariana Islands, with the B-2s landing on Guam for the first time in five years.

These stealthy aircraft arrived at Andersen Air Force Base on June 13. Hailing from Whiteman Air Force Base in Missouri, the B-2 Spirits were seen participating in the exercise alongside F-22 Raptors and Marine Corps F-35Bs.

Images released by the Pacific Air Forces (PACAF) showed the stealthy bombers in action, including their landing at Andersen Air Force Base. Valiant Shield, which concluded on June 18, offered a platform for the US military to showcase its strategic capabilities.

The Marines emphasized the importance of the B-2 Spirit’s deployment, noting its critical role in demonstrating speed, flexibility, and readiness.

Democrat Congressman James Clyburn (S.C.) is hitting the media circuit to push the narrative that Joe Biden has a “quiet constituency,” which will allegedly show up just in time for the election.

Speaking with MSNBC‘s “Morning Joe” on Wednesday, Clyburn said, “Now, let me tell you something I have been saying for weeks, even months now to my friends – that Joe Biden has a quiet constituency that nobody is looking at, nobody is listening to but it’s showing up in these polls.”

The Democrat, who is currently the Biden campaign co-chair, then claimed people walk up to him at airports and “very quietly” tell him they support the senile puppet.

A conservative small business advocacy group is getting behind far-left Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez’s Democratic primary opponent, spending $100,000 in promotional media attacking the far-left “Squad” member — including billboards in Times Square.

In backing former Wall Street investor Marty Dolan, the Texas-based Job Creators Network is endorsing a Democrat for the first time to call out the Bronx and Queens representative’s “threat to American small businesses.”

Wednesday morning, billboards in Times Square were already blaring messages funded by the nonprofit that accused Ocasio-Cortez of ignoring “rising crime,” “illegal immigration chaos,” “skyhigh [sic] grocery prices,” “out of control energy costs” and embracing “defunding police.”

National Democrats are preparing for the very real possibility of swapping out President Joe Biden as the party’s nominee if he crashes and burns at next week’s first debate against former President Donald Trump.

Such a scenario remains unlikely, though not far-fetched, according to top Democratic insiders who spoke anonymously with the Daily Mail. As it’s told, President Biden would have to have a disastrous performance in the first debate, which his team has deliberately scheduled early in a bid to tamp down fears that the 81-year-old incumbent is not up for another four years in the job. If negative feedback from the debate reaches a fever pitch within their party, it would be up to some of Democrats’ top leaders to collectively force the president out of the race.

“The only people who could force him out would be Barack Obama, Bill Clinton, Nancy Pelosi and Chuck Schumer,” one Democratic strategist told DailyMail.com. “It would have to be the four of them collectively.”

A Fulton County judge has been accused of giving preferential treatment to prosecutors with Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis’s office, and on Tuesday the defendants’ attorney filed a motion accusing the judge of “sabotage” that one court observer equated to full-on nuclear war.

Willis’s sweeping RICO case against rapper Young Thug and the gang Young Slime Life he is alleged to control was hit with a devastating motion by Thug’s attorney Brian Steel, wherein he accused Judge Ural Glanville of favoritism and an “attempt to sabotage the defense.”

“Judge Glanville must cease from any further contact with this case and another judge shall be assigned to hear this Motion to disqualify/recuse Judge Glanville,” the filing read according to Newsweek. “Judge Glanville cannot, in any way, oppose this Motion.”

ABOARD THE USS DWIGHT D. EISENHOWER IN THE RED SEA -- The combat markings emblazoned on the F/A-18 fighter jet tell the story: 15 missiles and six drones, painted in black just below the cockpit windshield.

As the jet sits on the deck of the USS Dwight D. Eisenhower aircraft carrier in the Red Sea, its markings illuminate the enemy targets that it's destroyed in recent months and underscore the intensity of the fight to protect commercial shipping from persistent missile and drone attacks by the Iranian-backed Houthi rebels in Yemen.

But they also hint at the fatigue setting in, as the carrier, its strike group and about 7,000 sailors close in on their ninth month waging the most intense running sea battle since World War II. That raises difficult questions about what comes next as U.S. military and defense leaders wrangle over how they will replicate the carrier's combat power if the ship returns home to Norfolk, Virginia.

Already, the carrier's deployment has been extended twice, and sailors post dark memes around the ship about only getting one short break during their steadily growing tour. Some worry they could be ordered to stay out even longer as the campaign drags on to protect global trade in the vital Red Sea corridor.

Arkansas Governor Sarah Huckabee Sanders, a Republican, has criticized President Joe Biden for his open-border policies, calling his administration a “failure.”

“Governor, why is it so hard to deport people who don’t belong here who kick cops, drive drunk, and steal my grandma’s Social Security number?” host Jesse Watters asked Sanders during an interview on Fox News.

“Because we have a president who absolutely doesn’t care that millions and millions of people are coming across our border illegally. He has the power to shut the border down, to stop it. He can reinstate the remain in Mexico policy. He could actually build the wall. There is a lot of things he could be doing and this simply is a complete and total failure by this administration. In the state of Arkansas alone we seized enough fentanyl in the last year to kill every single person in our entire state,” Sanders began.

The House Ethics Committee has spoken with half a dozen women in connection with its probe of Rep. Matt Gaetz over allegations of sexual misconduct and illicit drug use, with one reportedly alleging she was paid by the far-right congressman for sex.

The female witnesses, who were also part of a since-closed Justice Department investigation into the Florida Republican, said they had received money to attend parties with Gaetz and his friend, ex-Seminole County tax commissioner Joel Greenberg — where sex and drug use took place, sources told ABC News.

Several women were shown Venmo records of payments from Gaetz by House Ethics investigators, but only one claimed that the transaction was for sex, per the report.

Sen. Rand Paul said Tuesday the Justice Department’s refusing his requests for a perjury investigation into former federal health official Dr. Anthony Fauci is proof of a two-tiered justice system following a Senate hearing on the origins of COVID-19.

Paul, R-Ky., told The Daily Signal on Tuesday that it’s “disappointing” to see no action taken almost three years after he began demanding such a probe. His accusations stem from the former National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases director’s testimony to Congress about U.S.-funded virus research in China, a central topic of Tuesday’s hearing.

Fauci testified in May 2021 that his agency never funded risky “gain-of-function” experiments at the Wuhan Institute of Virology, but Paul has repeatedly highlighted records and emails suggesting otherwise.

Russia's President Vladimir Putin is calling it a "breakthrough document" while Kim Jong Un is hailing the "strongest ever treaty" which will hasten the start of a "new multipolar world" — but the BBC is calling it an "ominously ambiguous commitment" between "pariahs in arms".

The two leaders on Wednesday signed a new strategic partnership which is centered on a commitment of mutual aid if either country faces "aggression"; however, details were not immediately clear and it could stop short of being a full war treaty. Putin's first trip to North Korea in 24 years has been expectedly chummy as he and Kim thumb their noses at the West and US-led sanctions.

A recent report published by the Department of Homeland Security said that under the Biden administration, U.S. Customs and Border Protection management pressured officers to allow vehicles to cross from Mexico without proper inspection.

The June 7 report, authored by Inspector General Joseph V. Cuffari, said that supervisors at multiple land ports of entry pushed Border Patrol officers to only question the drivers of vehicles entering the United States and not passengers. Officers were instructed not to use “Simplified Arrival,” a biometric tool used by the DHS to “identify criminal warrants, national security concerns, or border crossing history, before admitting [individuals] into the country.” The report further noted that “DHS will remain at risk of admitting dangerous persons into the country who may pose threats to public safety and national security.”

The report sought to determine the effectiveness of DHS procedures to screen and vet asylum seekers and noncitizens seeking admission into the United States following the challenges encountered while screening and vetting refugees, specifically those from Afghanistan.

The continuance of a gag order in former President Donald Trump’s hush money case is drawing renewed scrutiny from legal experts who charged the judge with unfairly silencing the presidential candidate on the campaign trail.

Since Trump’s guilty verdict last month, Manhattan District Judge Juan Merchan has maintained a gag order over the Republican while he awaits a sentencing hearing on July 11th, a decision that effectively freezes Trump’s ability to criticize the decision and actors. He has previously been fined $9,000 for multiple violations of the gag order. Constitutional experts and law experts believe attorneys for the former president have grounds to petition an appeals court.
