"If a government cannot prove the honesty and accuracy of the elections by which they claim authority over the people, then the people are neither legally nor morally obligated to obey that government's dictates nor to pay its bills nor to send their children to die in that government's wars, and may with full moral justification resist with lethal force efforts to coerce said dictatorship, looting, and conscription." -- Michael Rivero
Senator John Kennedy (R-LA) is a national treasure complete with an incisive wit and dry sense of humor. He has displayed these talents throughout his time in the Senate whether by stumping unqualified Biden nominees and or in interviews with reporters.
The U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) has issued an alert for monkeypox (mpox) after multiple cases popped up in Chicago, with even vaccinated individuals found to have been infected.
There is a “potential risk for new mpox cases,” the agency said in its May 15 emergency alert. “This week, CDC and local partners are investigating a cluster of mpox cases in the Chicago area. From April 17 to May 5, 2023, a total of 12 confirmed and one probable case of mpox were reported to the Chicago Department of Public Health. All cases were among symptomatic men. None of the patients have been hospitalized.” Nine out of the 13 cases were identified among men who had received two doses of Jynneos—the licensed vaccine for monkeypox.
Billionaire tech mogul Elon Musk on Tuesday defended his recent criticism of globalist political donor George Soros, as well as the central ideal of free speech, saying he won’t be cowed into hiding his opinions even if it costs him money. Musk also responded to a question about whether he regretted voting for Joe Biden in 2020, joking he would prefer if America could elect “a normal human being as president.”
Musk made the remarks in an interview with CNBC host David Faber in Austin, Texas, during Tesla’s annual shareholder meeting. The interview, which aired Tuesday, touched on myriad topics ranging from artificial intelligence, the upcoming 2024 presidential election, and Musk’s often-controversial tweets.
Target has recently released its latest “pride” collection, which includes a “tuck-friendly” bathing suit designed to help biological men appear more feminine.
The collection, released ahead of what is known as “pride” month, features items for both adults and children. The far-left uses the artificial designation of the month to further radical gender ideology, which teaches that biology does not matter and gender does not correspond with an individual’s biological sex, leading to the other erasure of women.
The “tuck-friendly” bathing suit, created with Humankind, provides comfort and confidence to biological men who wish to tuck their genitals away to appear more feminine.
The Group of Seven (G7) will decide at its summit in Hiroshima, Japan, to restrict Russia's access to the global financial system, reduce dependence on its energy sources, freeze its assets in the West and take a number of other measures against Moscow in connection with its special military operation in Ukraine, a senior US administration official said at a special telephone briefing for journalists in connection with US President Joe Biden's participation in the G7 conference.
According to the official, the G7 intends to block previously frozen Russian assets until Moscow ends its special military operation. "You’ll see, one, some significant efforts to further disrupt Russia’s ability to source inputs for its war (special military operation - TASS). Two, you’ll see efforts to close evasion loopholes. Three, you’ll see further steps to reduce reliance on Russian energy. Four, you’ll see continued efforts to squeeze Russia’s access to the international financial system. And, five, you’ll see an ongoing commitment to keep Russia’s sovereign assets immobilized until the end of the war. There will be actions to back up those principles that will be articulated in the Ukraine statement," the official said.
A 95-year-old great-grandmother who was tasered by police is receiving end of life care - as a sombre assistant police commissioner insists that she was slowly approaching officers with her walking frame while 'armed' with a steak knife.
Clare Nowland - who suffers dementia, is 157cm tall (five foot two inches) and weighs just 43 kilograms - was blasted with a taser by police at the Yallambee Lodge aged care facility near Cooma, in the NSW Snowy Mountains, about 4am on Wednesday.
According to a police account, Mrs Nowland was by herself in a treatment room with the knife at the time, having collected it from the kitchen earlier.
Officers claim Mrs Nowland was approaching police 'at a slow pace', with her frame, when she was blasted with the taser by a senior constable with 12 years' experience.
The Taser blast caused her to fall and hit her head.
The most senior adviser to Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky, Mikhail Podoliak, has declared that his country “hates” representatives of the Russian state and will persecute them “always and everywhere.” His twitter post came after Moscow complained to the UN about a confession by Kiev’s military intelligence chief that his organization carries out targeted assassinations against Russian citizens.
Podoliak unleashed the angry tirade against Russia on Twitter on Thursday. He was reacting to Moscow’s rebuke of General Kirill Budanov, the head of the Ukrainian military intelligence service GUR, who told journalists earlier this week that his agents had murdered some Russian public figures and pledged that they “will keep killing Russians anywhere on the face of this world.”

On the night of May 18, Russian forces launched another massive attack on Ukrainian military facilities across the country. It was largely rated as one of the most massive recent attacks.
At night, air alert sounded in all regions of Ukraine. The main areas of the strikes were the southern and central regions of the country, where the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) are accumulating military reserves for their further transfer to the front lines. Throughout the night, Russian missiles, kamikaze UAVs and guided bombs have been targeting the Ukrainian military.
There were two wave of massive strikes. In the late evening, explosions thundered in the areas of concentration of military personnel and equipment in the Kherson, Zaporozhye, Poltava, Vinnytsia, Kirovograd, Ternoopil and Cherkasy regions, as well as in Odessa, Kharkiv and Kramatorsk. In the early morning, Russian Kalibr missiles struck their targets in the Khmelnitsky, Zhytomyr and Kiev regions.
According to some approximate estimations, in total, up to 50 cruise missiles of various types and UAVs targeted Ukraine.
On the evening of May 18, Wagner sources reported that the last stronghold of the AFU in the western part of Bakhmut, known as the Domino area (“New” microdostrict), came under Russian control.
The remaining units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine were escaping from the area in recent days, leaving their strongholds mostly at night. Ukrainian servicemen are leaving their weapons, running from the city on foot, climbing on a hill located through the forest area on the outskirts. Their retreat is not coordinated. Some Ukrainian servicemen run to Ivanovskoye (Krasnoe) through the ruins of the farm, others go to Chasov Yar.
Wagner fighters are securing the captured buildings that were mined by the retreating Ukrainian forces.
Steve Forbes decries a recent speech from National Security Advisor Jake Sullivan, which he says paints a grim picture of the future.
Turley points out:
The whole purpose of influence peddling is to use family members as shields for corrupt officials. Instead of making a direct payment to a politician, which could be seen as a bribe, you can give millions to his or her spouse or children.
He realizes that coverup has very serious implications:
The coverage this week has all the markings of a state media. The consistent spin. The almost universal lack of details. The absurd distinctions.
It is the blindside of our First Amendment, which addresses the classic use of state authority to coerce and control media. It does not address a circumstance in which most of the media will maintain an official line out of by consent rather than coercion [Emphasis in original].
Mr. Allen’s top-secret security clearance was revoked after the bureau found that he had “expressed sympathy for persons or organizations that advocate, threaten or use force or violence,” the letter said. F.B.I. investigators determined that Mr. Allen had sent an email from his bureau account to several colleagues months after the Capitol attack, urging them to “exercise extreme caution and discretion in pursuit of any investigative inquiries or leads pertaining to the events of” Jan. 6, the letter said.
Mr. Allen also sent an email linking to a website stating that “federal law enforcement had some degree of infiltration among the crowds gathered at the Capitol,” leading Mr. Allen to comment that this supposed fact raised “serious concerns” about the U.S. government’s participation in the riot.
F.B.I. investigators also found that Mr. Allen, who filed a lawsuit against Mr. Wray last year contesting the initial suspension of his clearance, failed to provide relevant information to fellow agents investigating the riot about people who allegedly took part in the attack, the letter said.
An Illinois middle-school teacher named Sarah Bonner is in hot water after she read a book to kids called “This Book is Gay” which teaches about swallowing semen and other graphic pointers on acts of sodomy.
The frightened children took photos of excerpts and illustrations from the book, and sent them to their parents, who promptly contacted the police.
Here are some examples of what was in the pornographic book.
There’s a case unfolding in San Francisco that’s causing a lot of concern and getting a ton of attention. A young, black transvestite was caught shoplifting, and as a result, a black security guard ended up shooting and killing him. The security guard says it was self-defense and authorities quickly agreed. No charges were filed and he’s completely off the hook.
Many people are noticing the differences between this event and a recent similar incident that took place on a New York City subway, where a violent “Michael Jackson” impersonator threatened a train full of commuters. The outcome of that incident differed significantly, and many believe this is further proof that we have a broken, weaponized, political justice system.
Now, over a month after Jonathan Cook’s article that urged an end to this — what by then was clearly a massive cover-up — the total black-out continues. There still is no follow-up.
All of this had started with Hersh’s journalistic narrative of who and how that operation was done; but, by now, the world DOES have extremely important and persuasive ADDITIONAL evidence regarding that account; and it is this:
The longer this black-out continues, the higher becomes the probability that Hersh’s account is true and accurate. Perhaps this additional evidence is ‘only circumstantial’, but sometimes circumstantial evidence can amount so high — higher each and every day now — and so is increasingly likely to become decisive, so that it can even, ultimately, exceed in certainty, the strictest courtroom standard of “beyond a reasonable doubt.”
Has the black-out now continued long enough, so that, by now, reasonable persons will conclude, beyond a reasonable doubt, that Hersh’s account was “true” — that his narrative constitutes the actual history behind the event?
I think that it has.
Three Venezuelan nationals have been charged with a series of crimes after having recently arrived, potentially on migrant buses, in the sanctuary city of Chicago, Illinois.
Elvis Diaz Betancourt, a 27-year-old Venezuelan national who arrived in Chicago four months ago, was arrested and charged with stabbing and critically injuring another Venezuelan man in one of the city’s migrant shelters.
According to prosecutors, Betancourt stabbed the man near his right hip during a fight outside of a nearby park. The man was stabbed so deeply that he said he could see his organs. Betancourt allegedly tried to stab the man again, this time in the back, but ran off as the man pleaded for help.
The global worldwide de-dollarization continues to ramp up. China has now received its first yuan-settled LNG (liquid natural gas) shipment. The United States dollar’s life is dwindling.
The state-owned China National Offshore Oil Corporation (CNOOC) announced on Tuesday. The company said it purchased 65,000 tons of LNG from the United Arab Emirates (UAE) and paid in yuan, not U.S. dollars.
For those wondering why so many major corporations are jumping onto the woke advertising train in recent years despite the fact that they tend to lose customers and money as a consequence, it's important to understand that the world of business is fundamentally changing. A lot of people make the mistake of thinking that companies are "bending the knee" to woke activism - But this is not the case.
Rather, it is the corporate world as well as government institutions that are actively fueling woke activism. If these institutions were not funding and promoting far-left ideology, it would quickly die as it should. Instead, they are keeping it alive and are attempting to force it into the collective consciousness of the population. Corporate elites and far-left governments are the source of the woke mind virus, not the victims of it.
You will see companies like Bud Light take a massive profit hit after jumping into an ad partnership with a man that thinks he's a woman, and then see a competing company like Miller Light make a similar woke mistake. They are doubling and tripling down on their failures and it's not going to stop unless they go bankrupt. This is because they are no longer operating as businesses, they are now centers for activism and social engineering.
That's why, as bizarre as it seems, a company like Dove (a subsidiary of Unilever that produces beauty products) is sticking its nose into the world of video games to change beauty standards for imaginary characters. In one of the most woke ads of the year so far, Dove seems to argue in favor of clinically obese women finding more representation as heroes in multimedia.
The destruction of depleted uranium shells in Ukraine has produced a radioactive cloud which has been blown toward Western Europe, the secretary of the Russian Security Council, Nikolay Patrushev, has claimed. The UK has supplied this type of munition to Ukraine to be fired from British-made Challenger tanks.
The senior official revealed the purported threat during a government meeting on Friday, in which he accused the US of manipulating its allies to provide “help” to other nations that results in harm being done to the recipients.
Washington’s joint military exercises with South Korea and Japan are pushing the region closer to an armed conflict, North Korea said on Friday. The warning comes as the US and Seoul prepare to conduct their largest-ever drills.
The state-run Korean Central News Agency (KCNA) said the situation on the Korean Peninsula was “on the brink of explosion,” describing the US-led wargames as taking on a “more undisguised and dangerous nature.”
The agency said Pyongyang views the exercises designed to simulate a “war scenario” as a threat to its security. “[An] exercise for ‘annihilating’ a nuclear power is just sheer bul**it,” KCNA said, referring to the North Korean strategic arsenal.
A straphanger who witnessed the fatal subway confrontation between Daniel Penny and Jordan Neely earlier this month called Penny a “hero” for restraining the homeless man before his death.
The 66-year-old woman, who asked not to be identified, also said she’d testify on behalf of Penny, 24, who was charged last week with second-degree manslaughter over the deadly encounter.
The witness told The Post that Neely, 30, went on an explosive tirade just before his caught-on-camera death, telling people he was willing to “kill a motherf—er” and “[take] a bullet” and go to jail.
Neely’s erratic behavior put commuters on the F train subway car on edge as they hurtled between stations in Manhattan, the witness said.
“The rhetoric from Mr. Neely was very frightening, it was very harsh,” the witness told The Post.
The Big Apple hospital worker accused in a viral video of hijacking a Citi Bike from a young black man has been identified by her lawyer as Sarah Comrie — who is raising money to pay for legal bills tied to the ordeal.
Lawyer Justin Marino confirmed Thursday that it was Comrie, a Bellevue Hospital employee, who appeared in the controversial video that was posted online Saturday and has since been seen by tens of millions of social media users.
The video shows her in a heated encounter with a group of men who claimed in the footage that they paid for the bike she was on at the docking station.
Marino on Wednesday provided receipts to The Post that he says prove his client actually paid for the two-wheeler, and said in a statement that Comrie got on the available bike, “which no individuals were on or touching.”
The lawyer said the group of five young men then approached her and claimed the bike was theirs, and the situation quickly went sideways.
Comrie, who is six months pregnant, was placed on leave from her job as a physician assistant by NYC Health + Hospitals this week.
A 14-year-old boy was busted this week for kicking a man in the head during a hate-fueled attack in which his pals called the victim a “cracker,” cops said.
The teen, who was not identified because of his age, was arrested Tuesday and charged with hate crime assault in connection to the April 14 attack on Roosevelt Island, police said.
The trio came up to the 35-year-old victim around 7 p.m. in the back of an apartment complex on Main Street, police said.
The FBI had at least four open criminal investigations into Hillary and Bill Clinton that were suddenly dropped in the months before the 2016 presidential election, special counsel John Durham’s recently released report shows.
The bombshell report released by Durham — which concluded that the bureau’s probe into former President Donald Trump’s alleged collusion with Russia was “seriously flawed” — also shed light on the quashed probes.
The feds had been looking into claims that foreign countries and other individuals were trying to influence the Clintons through donations to their namesake non-profit and Hillary’s presidential campaign.
Three of the FBI’s four investigations that were launched in early 2016 were looking into allegations that the Clinton Foundation has a hub of “criminal activity.”
Israeli lawmakers are pushing a new bill that would see flying the Palestinian flag punishable by up to one year in prison.
The bill is backed by members of the far-right Jewish Power party and states that three or more people waving the flag of a "hostile entity" will be considered a prohibited gathering and therefore punishable.
The Israeli Knesset has already voted its approval at a preliminary reading of the bill and it will need three additional votes to pass.
"As a democracy, Israel enables its citizens to protest decisions they don’t agree with the authorities on," reads the explanation of the bill, according to Haaretz.
Following a major strike on the Ukrainian capital Kiev in May 16, which involved use of multiple missile classes including deployment of Kinzhal ballistic missiles against Ukraine’s Patriot air defence systems, new information regarding the strike has continued to emerge. With Western sources having confirmed that a Patriot system was taken out of action, the Russian Defence Ministry on May 18 reported: "According to verified information, as a result of a strike by the Kinzhal hypersonic missile system in the city of Kiev a multifunctional radar station, as well as five launchers of the Patriot anti-aircraft missile system manufactured by the United States were hit and completely destroyed on May 16, 2023.” It was previously only confirmed that the radar station, which provides command and control for each Patriot unit, was destroyed. Ukraine received two units of Patriots from mid April, with the first delivered less than a month before the recent strike. The United States repeatedly proved reluctant to provide the assets or to allow its European allies to do so, not only because this would deplete the relatively limited arsenals available to the U.S. Military and its allies, but also because of their extreme cost and the significant reputational damage which their destruction in combat could cause. The system’s failure was widely predicted in light of its highly modest combat record against much simpler missiles than those in Russia’s arsenal.
A large swath of American consumers are facing financial hardship as they grapple with elevated living costs, record-high credit card use, and two years of negative real wage growth. This perfect storm could decimate financially fragile households in the next downturn.
As many as 89.1 million American adults (or about 38.5%) were found to experience some form of difficulty in covering expenses between April 26 and May 8, according to Bloomberg, citing new data from the Household Pulse Survey. This is up from 34.4% in 2022 and 26.7% during the same period in 2021.
Rep. Matt Gaetz (R-Fla.) has suggested that the FBI should be defunded and its agents criminally indicted after special counsel John Durham concluded this week that the federal agency should have never launched an investigation into whether former President Donald Trump colluded with Russia during the 2016 election.
Durham’s 300-plus page report (pdf) asserted that the FBI rushed into the probe without having any evidence that officials from the Trump campaign had contacted any Russian intelligence officer.
During an interview with Newsmax on Monday, Gaetz accused the FBI and Department of Justice (DOJ) of being politically biased in the probe, alleging the agency has become “the enforcement wing of the Democratic Party to play offense against Trump,” describing its actions as “very ugly for the future of a democracy where the people make the choices.”
“The report takes great lengths to point out the number of times where Trump was targeted in a way no other American would be,” Gaetz said. “In essence, the FBI has now become a disinformation and election interference enterprise here in our country. It’s very damning for them, the Steele Dossier was nonsense, the probable cause standard even to originate an investigation … was never met, and you had a secret court that was lied to.”
“I think we have to deauthorize, defang, and defund many of these authorities and entities and different task forces that actually converted the just and righteous act of protecting our country with the desire to have a particular political candidate win or lose,” he added.
