Gulf monarchies are urging the US not to use American military bases on their territories to strike in response to any potential Iranian attack on Israel, sources told Middle East Eye. The US's Gulf allies are working overtime to shut down avenues that could link them to a US reprisal against Tehran or its proxies from bases inside their kingdoms, according to a senior US official who spoke with MEE on condition of anonymity. As tensions flare, Saudi Arabia, the UAE, Oman and Kuwait have raised questions about the intricate details of basing agreements that permit tens of thousands of US troops to be stationed across the oil-rich peninsula. They are also moving to prevent US warplanes from flying over their airspace in the event the US conducts a retaliatory strike on Iran.

Hezbollah fired a barrage of 40 rockets from southern Lebanon at Israel, as the country braced for a major attack by Iran. Some experts suggested the attack, which did not cause any injuries, was an attempt to deplete Israel’s supply of surface-to-air missiles before Tehran launches a larger strike in retaliation for last week’s air strike on its consulate in Damascus.

Dozens of rockets were fired at Israel from Lebanon on Friday. Estimates suggest at least 50 rockets were fired from southern Lebanon toward northern Israel.

At least 40 Hezbollah rockets were shot down by Israeli Iron Dome defense system on Friday after sunset.

There were reports earlier this week on an expected Iranian retaliation for the alleged Israeli strike on IRGC leaders in Syria.

On Wednesday US officials warned Iranian-backed forces could attack Israel within the next 24-48 hours.

Here is more footage of Friday’s attack.

This story is developing.

Webmaster addition:  Hezbollah is using cheap drones to force Israel to use up their Iron Dome interceptors at $50,000 a pop.

The US is sending more forces into the region.

At least one Arleigh Burke is on station off of the coast of Israel.

The mass media are once again pushing the narrative that Israel is “scaling back” its operations in Gaza, which as journalist Sana Saeed noted on Twitter is a claim they’ve been falsely making for months. To promote such stories even as Israel publicly declares that it’s preparing for an invasion of Rafah is absurd and irresponsible.

A member of the Israeli Knesset named Limor Son Har-Melech says there are secret Israeli plans to establish settlements in the Gaza Strip. It sure is a crazy coincidence how every single part of Israel’s response to October 7 has looked exactly the same as what it would look like if Israel just started doing all the things that it has wanted to do to the Palestinians for generations.

Biden has declared “ironclad” support for Israel as fears mount that Iran will soon retaliate for the Israeli strike on its consulate building in Syria which killed multiple Iranian military officers, despite the fact that Iran has made it clear to the White House that if the US comes to Israel’s defense it will make the US a target as well. We could be near the precipice of the worst-case nightmare scenario of all possible middle eastern conflicts because of this president’s unwavering support for the genocidal Zionist state.

Gaza is simpler than Iraq. Iraq was simpler than Yemen. Yemen was simpler than Libya. Libya was simpler than Ukraine. Ukraine is simpler than Syria. Gaza is the simplest and most straightforward of all the evil interventions of the US murder machine in recent memory — which is why I’ve got no patience for anyone who gets it wrong.

I’m a lot more forgiving of people who bought into the imperial narrative about Syria and believed that country erupted in violence because Assad just went ape shit and started killing innocent people for no reason, because it takes a lot of work to sort out fact from fiction about what actually happened there. There were really good journalists who got Syria wrong at first in the early years of the conflict, just because there was so much information to comb through and so much aggressive imperial narrative management about it. There was so much less visibility into the facts on the ground in Syria than there is in Gaza, and there were so many complex narrative control ops muddying the waters.

Gaza isn’t like that. What’s happening really could not be more obvious. A nuclear-armed high tech military has been raining bombs and inflicting siege warfare upon a densely packed, walled-in civilian population, half of whom are children, with the full backing of the most powerful empire that has ever existed. We’ve been seeing a constant stream of footage showing children ripped apart by military explosives and starved to skeletons, Israeli soldiers posting videos of themselves gleefully doing some of the most sadistic and depraved things you can imagine, destroyed hospitals, carpet-bombed neighborhoods, and Israelis blocking aid trucks from feeding starving people.

This is not the slightest bit complicated. It’s as subtle as a kick in the teeth. There is no excuse for getting this one wrong now. There’s not even any excuse for getting it wrong on day one. It’s been obvious this entire time. Any politician, pundit or journalist who’s gotten it wrong can be dismissed as completely worthless, even if they’re beginning to come around now after they sensed the wind blowing against Israel in recent weeks.

Back in the early 1950s, the U.S. conducted a furious bombing campaign during the Korean War, dropping hundreds of thousands of tons of ordnance, much of it napalm, on North Korea. The bombardment, worse than any country had received up to that point, excepting the effects of Hiroshima and Nagasaki, wiped out nearly every city in North Korea, contributing to well over a million civilian deaths. Because of the relentless bombing, the people were reduced to living in tunnels. Even the normally bellicose Gen. MacArthur claimed to find the devastation wreaked by the U.S. to be sickening.[1]

Most controversially, both North Korea and China alleged that by early 1952, the U.S. was using biological or germ warfare weapons against both North Korea and China. The U.S. government has strenuously denied this.

Nevertheless, captured U.S. flyers told their North Korean and Chinese captors about the use of such weapons. Later, after the prisoners were returned to U.S. custody, counterintelligence experts and psychiatrists interrogated them. They were told under the threat of court martial to renounce their confessions about germ warfare. They all did so.

The Army Criminal Investigative Division officer in charge of interrogating returning prisoners, including airmen who confessed to use of biological weaponry on North Korea and China, was Army counter-intelligence specialist, Col. Boris Pash. Pash had previously been in charge of security for the most sensitive classified operations of the U.S. government in World War II. He was in charge of security at the Manhattan Project’s Berkeley Radiation Laboratory. (The Manhattan Project was the U.S. crash program to develop the atomic bomb.)

Dozens of prominent U.S. and state government officials, advocacy groups, and executives from big tech companies gathered in New York last month to participate in an important simulated election exercise.

The war game exercise imagined a fictional crisis in which AI-generated photos and videos are released on social media immediately before the 2024 election. The images appear to show election officials in Florida dumping ballots, in an apparent attempt to manipulate the election’s outcome.

If a deepfake election crisis does occur — and there are good reasons to think it will — Trump’s enemies will be ready to take advantage.

The simulation also included phone calls to elderly voters in Arizona that featured AI-generated voices. The calls asked elderly voters to stay away from polling centers due to threats from radical militia groups.

Participants role-played how the Biden administration should respond to the simulated deepfake event. They gathered in a mock “White House Situation Room,” with each player taking on the role of a prominent figure in government, civil society, or corporate America, including the Department of Homeland Security, FBI, big tech companies, and even the CIA.

Participants engaged in lengthy debates about how government should address the problem, including whether Joe Biden should personally get involved, one of the “big debates in the room,” according to a report by NBC News. Participants were apparently concerned that if Biden made any statements, it would be used as proof that he was attempting to rig the election in his favor.

Whistleblowers are set to testify next week, offering new perspectives that could challenge the prevailing narrative surrounding the 2020 election. Officers from the Washington D.C. National Guard are set to provide evidence contradicting the narrative presented by the January 6 Committee. These whistleblowers claim they were ready to deploy on former President Donald Trump’s orders during the Capitol breach but were restrained by the Pentagon, a delay that may reshape public understanding of the events of that day.

Scheduled to testify next Wednesday before a House subcommittee, at least three National Guard officers will challenge previous assertions made by the January 6 Committee, which had been leading the investigation into the Capitol breach. The testimony is expected to assert that Acting Defense Secretary Christopher Miller had approved the deployment of the D.C. National Guard on Trump’s directive.

First reported by the Daily Mail, a source familiar with the House Administration Committee’s Oversight Subcommittee’s review stated that the whistleblowers would testify about a significant delay by then-Army Secretary Ryan McCarthy in issuing the formal order to National Guard Commander William Walker to mobilize troops. The delay, reportedly lasting at least two hours, prevented the immediate deployment of the Guard to the Capitol, contributing to the chaos and violence of the day.

The U.S. has moved more forces into the Middle East to prepare for what officials believe could be an 'imminent' strike by Iran on Israel that could spark a full-scale war. The Pentagon is beefing up its presence in the region and the USS Dwight Eisenhower has been sent into the Red Sea in a warning to Tehran and to protect American personnel should the violence spill over, multiple reports suggest.

U.S. officials fear that hundreds of drones and dozens of missiles could be used in a retaliation for an April 1 strike on a building adjacent to the Iranian embassy in Damascus, Syria. Iran's Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei vowed retribution in the wake of the attack, to which Tel-Aviv - yet to take responsibility for the strike on Damascus.

Webmaster addition: Reports are that Hezbollah is launching large numbers of drones into Israel, forcing them to use up their costly Iron Dome interceptors.

As part of its pandemic response, the Australian government purchased 267.3 million doses of Covid vaccines, enough to vaccinate Australia’s population of approximately 26 million people ten times over. But figures released to Dystopian Down Under by the Department of Health (DOH) this week confirm that, three years into the vaccine programme, only 70 million doses, or 26% of the 267.3 million doses purchased, have been administered, while 35% of vaccines doses have been wasted since the start of the vaccine rollout.

Trump-Hating former Acting FBI Director Andrew McCabe joined CNN’s Jim Acosta on Wednesday to defend FISA secret spying on American citizens.

McCabe finally admitted that the Carter Page FISA application used by the deep state to spy on Trump and his administration in an attempt to bring him down was a mistake.

CNN hack reporter Jim Acosta was not expecting this.

Jim Acosta: Back to Trump’s post on Truth Social, Andrew. He’s calling on House Republicans to block reauthorizing it (FISA), saying, “Kill FISA. It was used illegally against my campaign. They spied on my campaign.” Is there any truth to this? I know we’re going back over, relatively speaking, some ancient history and one of Trump’s old complaints dating back to the 2016 campaign.

Andrew McCabe: He may be referring to the FISA that was obtained surveil Carter Page. We now know there were many mistakes in that FISA. Those are all regrettable.

So after eight years Andrew McCabe finally comes clean. What a crook. He belongs on CNN.

A former employee inside the office of Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis is ready to spill the goods on how the embattled Democrat may have abused federal funds in her quest to take down former President Donald Trump.

Congressman Jim Jordan (R-OH) appeared on Fox Business Thursday, telling host Maria Baritomo that the woman who came forward has illuminated the House Oversight Committee’s inquiry into Willis’ management of anti-gang funds and whether they were improperly diverted to buttress a politically motivated trial. Jordan’s comments came just one day after the Justice Department reported “inconsistencies” in the Georgia prosecutor’s reports back to the feds on how she used their money.

“God bless the whistleblower [who] came forward,” Jordan said according to Newsweek. “We’ve talked with the whistleblower, she’s giving information to the press, to us. Now the Department of Justice is looking into this. All kinds of problems with Fani Willis and this ridiculous investigation she’s run on President Trump and others.”

Just 10 minutes ago, a 5.8-magnitude earthquake struck near Honiara, Solomon Islands. The tremor was recorded early morning on Saturday, April 13th, 2024, at 2:59 am local time, at a moderately shallow depth of 64 km below the surface.

The event was filed by the European-Mediterranean Seismological Centre (EMSC), the first seismological agency to report it.
Our monitoring service identified a second report from the German Research Centre for Geosciences (GFZ) which listed the quake at magnitude 5.5. A third agency, France's Réseau National de Surveillance Sismique (RéNaSS), reported the same quake at magnitude 5.1.

Based on the preliminary seismic data, the quake should not have caused any significant damage, but was probably felt by many people as light vibration in the area of the epicenter.

The latest disclosures from the Department of Justice (DOJ) reveal that the number of alien respondents who failed to appear for removal proceedings is soaring — on track to exceed 170,000 in FY 2024, which would best last year’s record of nearly 160,000. Those aliens may be under orders of removal, but the Biden administration has no inclination — let alone plans — to remove them. Which is why so many aliens likely didn’t bother to appear.

In Absentia Orders of Removal. Section 240 of the Immigration and Nationality Act (INA), governs removal proceedings in immigration court.

Removal cases are heard by immigration judges (IJs), a position I held for more than eight years. Those IJs determine whether alien respondents are removable, consider bond requests, adjudicate applications for “relief” from removal (asylum, adjustment of status, cancellation of removal, etc.), and when appropriate, issue orders of removal.

That entire process is generally dependent, of course, on respondents actually appearing in court. While the Biden administration detains a tiny fraction of the three million-plus aliens currently in proceedings, the vast majority are free to live here while their cases are proceedings.

A Fox News contributor claims that Donald Trump has the right to sue New York Attorney General Letitia James for allegedly violating the former president’s civil rights.

Political analyst and frequent guest on the conservative news channel Deroy Murdock made the statement following the decision of a New York appeals court to postpone the payment of Trump’s $454 million civil fraud penalty resulting from James’ lawsuit. Instead, the former president was instructed to pay a $175 million bond within ten days while he filed an appeal with the court.

Judge Arthur Engoron declared in February that Trump had been filing false financial reports for years, inflating the value of his properties and other assets to get favorable terms from lenders. James’ office was unable to begin the process of seizing Trump’s properties due to the Monday financial guarantee payment delay.

"Actually, I am a Chinese immigrant who survived communism, and under Mao, you know, 40 million people were starving to death after he sold communism to them. And 20 million people died ... murdered during his Cultural Revolution," she continued.

She then specifically addressed Hogg: "So, my question to you, David, is that can you guarantee me, a gun owner, tonight, our government in the U.S., in D.C., will never, never become a tyrannical government? Can you guarantee that to me?"

"There’s no way I can ever guarantee that any government will not be tyrannical," Hogg replied.

"Well, then the debate on gun control is over, because I will never give up my guns. Never, never. And you should go to China to see how gun control works for the dictatorship of the CCP."

I tend to try and be as optimistic as I can when I consider possibilities involving an SHTF scenario.  I consider myself a practical, pragmatic prepper of sorts and I tend to focus on the most probable of disaster scenarios that I’ll probably face in my area, like fires or earthquakes.  I’d like to believe that most catastrophic problems in my region can be resolved within 2 to 4 weeks assuming help comes.  But I know as a prepper it’d be foolish to not consider the possibility that things may not bounce back or help may not arrive.  If this were to happen, would I be ready to take care of myself and my family?  Many experts predict that if our power grid were to go down in the U.S., by the end of the first month, ½ of all Americans would die.  Can you live 30 days without power, water or food being available to you?

In this article, we’ll discuss the 10 most common ways people will die in the first month if there were an extended catastrophe.  While this topic could be perceived as discouraging, the good news is we’ll present solutions to ensure you and your family will be prepared to face these challenges.

Israeli hospitals have been put on a high state of alert by the home command, awaiting an 'imminent' Iranian retaliation attack. Iran has also reportedly put the United States on notice... Three U.S. Officials told Axios : Iran has sent a message to the U.S. through several Arab countries, that if they interfere in Iran's response against Israel, U.S. bases in the region will be struck. Meanwhile, Russia just chose quite the wrong moment to conduct a test-firing of an intercontinental ballistic missile from its Kapustin Yar airbase in southern Russia. The rocket was reportedly seen soaring high in the atmosphere from parts of northern Iraq and Iran, triggering concerns it was Iran beginning its attack.
