"The very word 'secrecy' is repugnant in a free and open society; and we are as a people inherently and historically opposed to secret societies, to secret oaths and to secret proceedings. We decided long ago that the dangers of excessive and unwarranted concealment of pertinent facts far outweighed the dangers which are cited to justify it. Even today, there is little value in opposing the threat of a closed society by imitating its arbitrary restrictions. Even today, there is little value in insuring the survival of our nation if our traditions do not survive with it." -- John F. Kennedy

Wyomingites wanting to just grab a couple of friends and go target shooting could potentially be breaking the law if a federal bill introduced by a Massachusetts senator passes.

The Preventing Private Paramilitary Act of 2024 could potentially be used to ban just about any gun-related activity, Cody firearms instructor Bill Tallen told Cowboy State Daily.

“It would shut down even any three individuals going to the gun range to practice with firearms,” he said.

Supposedly Meant To Curb Extremism

The bill, U.S. Senate File 3589, was introduced last month by Sen. Edward Markey, D-Massachusetts.

The bill’s stated intent is curb or prevent the formation and activities of armed extremist groups. Numerous loosely organized groups calling themselves “militias” sprang up around the county in the 1990s, and some remain active.

Webmaster addition: Many of those 1990s militias were actually set up by the FBI, including Elohim City, made famous in the OK City bombing case.

There is, however, another issue. The text of the Second Amendment explicitly states the need for free states to have militias.

California was struck by 13 earthquakes in a span of just 25 minutes overnight, the National Weather Service (NWS) has confirmed.

The first quake struck just after midnight on Monday, hitting northwest of El Centro - a city in the southern border region.

The United States Geological Survey (USGS) said the quake recorded a 4.8 magnitude and reportedly shook much of San Diego County.

The area was hit with a 4.5 aftershock just six minutes later, which was then followed by a series of smaller aftershocks, originating west of the Salton Sea.

Ultra-progressive California Governor Gavin Newsom is in Las Vegas ahead of Super Bowl and is spending his time in Sin City hobnobbing with billionaires and Tom Brady, as speculation mounts that Joe Biden will stand down.

On Friday, Newsom, 56, was a surprise guest at Fanatics billionaire Michael Rubin’s hot 100 luncheon at LAVO – a swanky restaurant at the upscale Palazzo hotel.

The restaurant, which bills itself as offering ‘authentic Italian flavors and unforgettable experiences’, specializes in seafood – including a lavish $225 ‘plateau grande’ that comes with an entire lobster and kaluga caviar.

Other specialties include a $99 ribeye, a $57 lobster and scallop linguine, a $72 rack of veal and a $54 roasted Chilean seabass.

In 2023, Washington Governor Jay Inslee, a Democrat, enacted one of the most stringent gun control laws in the United States.

This legislation, which bans over 50 types of firearms, including popular rifles such as AR-15s and M-16s, has been followed by a surge in highway shootings in the state.

The Democratic Legislature is now considering several additional gun control bills. Meanwhile, more than a dozen shootings have been reported on state highways since the start of the year, according to KOMO News.

In recent days, the political landscape has been dominated by the report from Special Counsel Robert Hur and President Joe Biden's response to it.

However, amid this flurry of news, one cannot overlook the statements made by White House Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre, particularly as concerns about Biden's mental acuity intensify.

Jean-Pierre was twice questioned this week about some of Biden's perplexing moments. Initially, she was asked to comment on the President's claim that he had spoken to Francois Mitterand and Helmut Kohl in 2021 at a G7 meeting, despite both leaders having passed away years ago.

In response to this, Jean-Pierre stated, "It is not uncommon" for public figures to misspeak about names. This response, however, is questionable. It is indeed uncommon for most people to confuse Mitterand with Emmanuel Macron or mistake Helmut Kohl for Angela Merkel. While everyone is prone to misspeaking, Biden's continual confusion raises concerns.

The Democratic Party is railing over the conference President Joe Biden held on Thursday. According to The Daily Wire, several top Democratic politicians have called the event a disaster for the president.

During the press conference held as a response to the released report from Special Counsel Robert Hur’s criminal investigation into Biden’s handling of classified material, Biden blasted Hur for suggesting he is suffering a cognitive decline.

In addition to slamming Hur for stating that Biden had forgotten major life events such as the death of his son or his time as vice president in the Obama administration, Biden also lashed out at reporters who brought up voters’ concerns about his age and mental state.

During the event, Biden mixed up Egypt and Mexico presidents and forgot crucial details from the special counsel’s report. He also reportedly forgot the name of the church where his late son Beau got the rosary he wears everyday while trying to prove that the memory of his deceased son remains etched in his brain.

Webmaster addition: One issue that nobody has raised yet is that dementia patients can have sudden outbursts of panic or anger. And lately we have seen Joe Biden yell at reporters. This is a problem. As Tom Clancy wrote, "When Presidents get angry, people die!"

The Republican Party of Florida has officially endorsed former President Donald Trump for the 2024 election.

The endorsement took place at the Florida GOP annual meeting on Friday, as reported by Florida's Voice. This announcement comes on the heels of Trump's impressive victories in several early state primaries, where he nearly doubled his support in the Nevada GOP caucus.

In a recent interview with MSNBC's Alex Wagner, former Democratic presidential nominee Hillary Clinton addressed the ongoing concerns about President Biden's age, asserting it as a "legitimate issue."

Clinton, who maintains regular communication with White House officials, stated, "I talked to people in the White House all the time, and you know, they know it’s an issue, but as I like to say, ‘look, it’s a legitimate issue.’"

Clinton also pointed out that the issue of age is not exclusive to Biden but is equally applicable to former President Donald Trump, who is only three years younger. "It’s a legitimate issue for Trump who’s only three years younger, right?" she questioned, "So it’s an issue."

Webmaster addition: What the Democrats are trying to do is shift the issue from Biden's mental decline to his age, so that they can, as this article shows, equate it with Trump's age. But age is NOT the issue. Joe Biden has dementia and Donald Trump does not,

The World Economic Forum (WEF) is calling for a whopping 7 billion people to be wiped from the face of the Earth for “the greater good.”

However, the WEF insists that these extreme depopulation goals can be achieved through “peaceful” methods such as mass euthanasia.

Globalists at the unelected organization argue that the world’s population must be reduced to a maximum limit of 1 billion people in order to “save the planet” from “climate change.”

The WEF believes that this huge sacrifice is vital to ensure that the remaining humans can live an acceptable quality of life.

Webmaster addition: Maybe it's just me, but I intend to put up a real fuss when someone comes to murder me and my wife.

Tucker’s trip to Russia has got Bill Kristol so bent out of shape that earlier this week, he tweeted:

“Perhaps we need a total and complete shutdown of Tucker Carlson re-entering the United States until our country’s representatives can figure out what is going on.”

In other words, Bill Kristol is a “Republican” who supports emptying all of Latin America’s prisons and mental hospitals into the US and he supports barring Tucker Carlson – a US Citizen – from re-entering his own country for the crime of doing journalism in Russia.

It’s clear from his words and deeds that Bill Kristol seethes with hatred for America, yet he’s had an extraordinary influence on US Government Affairs for decades.

Polling data increasingly suggests Hispanic voters are souring on President Joe Biden, in part because he refuses to secure the United States’ southern border. An overwhelming number of Hispanic voters say they disapprove of Biden’s handling of immigration and would like to see tighter border controls put in place. Since taking office in January of 2021, the number of illegal immigrants in the United States has likely doubled — jumping from 10 million in 2020 to around 20 million at the start of 2024.

A February 8th YouGov poll found that 89 percent of Hispanic voters consider the immigration issue to be ‘important’ to them. Meanwhile, data from Marist shows that 57 percent of Hispanic voters disapprove of Biden’s handling of the border, while only 27 percent approve. In Texas, Biden’s open border policies appear to have his campaign staring down a complete collapse among Hispanics. A survey released last week by the University of Houston found former President Donald Trump leading Biden with Hispanics 47 percent to 41 percent. Among Hispanic Democrats, only 55 percent say they intend to back Biden, with 45 percent undecided.

Webmaster addition: I am not surprised. The people here legally must feel resentment. After all, they played by the rules; the illegals don't, and the flood of illegals directly impacts their community and economy.

Democrat insiders say it is now 'panic time' after a blockbuster Justice Department report concluded Joe Biden has 'diminished faculties' and is an 'elderly man with a poor memory'.

Increasingly, behind the scenes, a nuclear option is being considered to remove the 81-year-old president as the Democrat nominee at the party's convention in Chicago in August.

The leading candidates to replace him include California Governor Gavin Newsom and Michigan Governor Gretchen Whitmer.

'I think it is now panic time. Biden should not be our standard bearer,' a former senior Democrat White House official, who worked with Biden, told Dailymail.com.

'He looked like a deer stuck in the headlights last night. There isn't enough gas in the tank for another four and-a-half years. Ultimately we're going to see more and more prominent Democrats saying the quiet part out loud.

A notable feature of the post-pandemic world has been the brazen way in which global political leaders have continued promoting COVID-19 vaccines as safe. A rare exception in this respect is Slovakia’s Prime Minister Robert Fico, who, in a recent parliamentary speech, admitted that deaths from various cardiovascular events in his country have risen because of the vaccinations. Describing COVID-19 vaccines as “experimental” and “unnecessary,” Fico has bravely committed his government to telling Slovak people the truth about what actually happened during the pandemic.

The Slovak Prime Minister’s speech came only weeks after announcing that his political party would not support strengthening the powers of the World Health Organization (WHO) in managing the fight against future pandemics. Explaining this decision, Fico stated that “such nonsense could only have been invented by greedy pharmaceutical companies, which began to perceive the resistance of certain governments against mandatory vaccination.” Subsequent to his announcement, the WHO admitted that the plans for its controversial global pandemic agreement are at risk of falling apart. Aided by proposed amendments to the International Health Regulations of 2005, the ratification of this agreement would essentially transform the WHO into a global health dictatorship.

In the wake of the release of the special counsel's report, former Republican presidential candidate Vivek Ramaswamy has reiterated his theory that the Democratic Party may replace President Biden with Michelle Obama on their ticket.

The report, authored by Special Counsel Robert Hur, has brought renewed attention to Biden's cognitive abilities, despite Hur's decision not to press charges against the President.

Hur's report, which has been described as a bombshell, stated that Biden would not face charges in part because a jury would likely view him as a "sympathetic, well-meaning elderly man with a poor memory." This conclusion was reached despite the report's acknowledgment that Biden "willfully" obtained classified documents during his tenure as Vice President and as a senator.

The investigation into allegations of misconduct by Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis, who is known for her election interference case against former President Donald Trump, was officially initiated by Georgia lawmakers on Friday.

Republican state Senator Bill Cowsert, in the state Senate Special Committee on investigations meeting, revealed that several whistleblowers from the Fulton County DA's office have stepped forward to testify against Willis. The whistleblowers allege that Willis misused state and federal funds. This revelation comes in the wake of Willis admitting to a relationship with special prosecutor Nathan Wade, a relationship that critics have deemed "improper."
