Americans were shocked when a New York jury convicted Donald Trump. Legal experts had pocked endless holes in the questionable trial. Many believe this was political persecution against a Republican candidate for president.

Trump’s team will appeal the decision. This fight could drag on for some time.

But one of the more shocking developments has been the court’s decision to sentence Trump four days before the Republican National Convention. This appears to be an attempt to undermine the party’s 2024 campaign plans. And Trump is not taking this lying down.

From The Post Millennial:
On Sunday, President Donald Trump called on the Supreme Court to intervene before the sentencing date for his Manhattan falsified business documents case, in which a jury found Trump guilty on 34 charges on Thursday…

“The ‘Sentencing’ for not having done anything wrong will be, conveniently for the Fascists, 4 days before the Republican National Convention. A Radical Left Soros backed D.A., who ran on a platform of “I will get Trump,” reporting to an “Acting” Local Judge, appointed by the Democrats, who is HIGHLY CONFLICTED, will make a decision which will determine the future of our Nation? The United States Supreme Court MUST DECIDE!” Trump wrote on Truth Social.

After US and NATO allies sent long range missiles to Ukraine authorizing to use it to conduct strikes against Russia, Moscow's State media has shared a new map where Russia could deploy its missiles to target enemies amid fears of a third world war. Watch in for more details!

The United States arms industry is not producing the basic ammunition required to sustain support for Ukraine and Israel, Bloomberg reported on June 8. This is an extraordinary situation since Russia’s arms industry is booming despite facing major Western sanctions.

According to the outlet, the US defence industry gave priority to the manufacture of high-tech ammunition and halted the production of basic artillery such as 155-millimetre ammunition, the most used in the wars that are being fought today. The US is also facing a shortage of basic products, such as gunpowder or trinitrotoluene (TNT), to produce these munitions and have had to turn to other countries, such as Poland and Turkey, to obtain supplies.

At some point an attempt was made to replace the 155-millimetre ammunition with higher-tech projectiles on the battlefront in Ukraine, but the effort failed because the new weaponry was neutralised by the Russian military.

“Higher-tech shells that were intended to replace the traditional 155mm munitions failed an early test in Ukraine, when their targeting systems were thwarted by Russia,” Bloomberg reported. “The prospect that future wars could resemble the grinding combat taking place there has stirred fears that the US arsenal could someday be stretched to the breaking point.”

Webmaster addition: That tells us that when faced with open war against Russia, the US won't be able to keep up with weapons demand!

Ukraine will keep some of its foreign-donated F16s abroad in order to protect them from Russian attacks, according to a senior Ukrainian military officer. The move risks escalating the conflict yet further, since Putin has already warned he would consider attacking Ukrainian jets stationed abroad if they are used to attack Russian forces.

A number of European nations have already committed to providing more than 60 US-made F16 jets to the Ukrainians, and Ukrainian pilots are already being trained in how to fly them. The planes are expected to be delivered at the end of the year.

Serhii Holubtsov, head of aviation in Ukraine’s air force, said that “a certain number of aircraft will be stored at secure air bases outside of Ukraine so that they are not targeted here.”

Russian President Vladimir Putin has warned on a number of occasions that Moscow would consider launching strikes on NATO countries if they host warplanes used in Ukraine.

Hunter Biden's Delaware gun trial enters its 6th day Monday after a week of witness testimony from ex-girlfriends, an ex-wife and Biden family members.

Biden's attorney Abbe Lowell seemed to indicate that his client would not testify in his own defense because he permitted the judge to read an instruction to the jury that emphasizes they should not hold anything against his client if he does not testify, according to CNN. However, it remains possible that Biden could still be called to the stand.

The defense is expected to wrap up their case soon. The prosecution rested last week. “We are down to that last decision,” Lowell told the judge last week about the decision of calling Hunter Biden to the stand.

A visiting judge has overturned the results of the November 2023 Edinburg City Council election, declaring Gerardo “Gerry” Lozano the rightful winner over incumbent David White, myRGV.com reported.

The lawsuit, brought forward by challenger Gerardo “Gerry” Lozano, contested the narrow victory of incumbent David White, alleging widespread irregularities, including illegal assistance to voters and the use of fake addresses in voter registrations.

The central issue in Lozano’s suit involved allegations against ‘politiqueras’, paid campaign workers accused of illegally aiding voters both in-person and through mail-in ballots. Some accusations extended to voters allegedly using fake addresses on their voter registrations.

The court’s findings revealed that these politiqueras assisted numerous voters who did not meet the legal criteria for such help. According to myRGV, citing Texas Election Code, assistance at the polls is strictly reserved for voters who are either illiterate or physically incapable of filling out ballots on their own. This assistance can extend to physically disabled voters eligible for curbside voting.

Biden has pleaded not guilty. His defense team, led by attorney Abbe Lowell, does not dispute his well-documented struggles with addiction. Instead, they argue that at the time of the 2018 handgun purchase, Biden did not consider himself an unlawful drug user.

The trial took a pivotal turn last Friday when observers overheard Lowell discussing the possibility of calling Biden to testify. Biden's attorney reportedly said that a decision would be made over the weekend and communicated to special counsel David Weiss.

The final decision will be made public sometime after 8:15 a.m. when Judge Maryellen Noreika requested both parties to appear at the J. Caleb Boggs Federal Building and United States Courthouse in Wilmington.

Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg came under fire from a state Supreme Court justice for prosecuting two people who purchased phony COVID-19 vaccination cards more harshly than he does for those accused of far more severe offenses.

Judge Brendan T. Lantry of the state Supreme Court recently dropped Bragg’s felony charges against the two individuals, who attempted to disobey NYC’s vaccination mandate and were only identified by their initials in the case.

“J.O., a nursing student, and R.V., an employee with the city Department of Environmental Protection, were among hundreds accused of buying fake vaccination cards from a New Jersey stripper, Jasmine Clifford. The two were among just 16 people Bragg’s office ‘cherry-picked’ to prosecute and charge with felony criminal possession of a forged instrument, the judge said,” the New York Post reported. “Fourteen pleaded guilty to a misdemeanor, but J.O. and R.V. moved to dismiss the charges, prompting the DA’s office to contest the effort — and sparking outrage from the jurist.”

Hailing the impact of Nevada as a key battleground state in the 2024 presidential election, presumptive Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump vowed to "knock off the Biden crime family."

"If we win Nevada, we win the whole thing," Trump told his Las Vegas, Nevada, rally that aired live and in its entirety on Newsmax and the free Newsmax2 streaming platform.

"With your help, we're going to win Nevada," he began in blistered Las Vegas heat. "We're going to defeat your Biden-loving, radical left Sen. Jacky Rosen, who's terrible, by the way. She's a terrible senator.

"We're going to knock off the Biden crime family — as they're a Biden family of crime, including the fact that they've weaponized the Department of Justice like has never happened in this country.

"We're going to end the weak and failed regime of Crooked Joe Biden, the worst president in the history of our country, and we're going to make America great again."

In April, the Biden administration finalized efficiency standards for residential water heaters, as part of a broader climate goal of electrifying the American household

The Department of Energy estimates that, under the new rules, 50% of newly manufactured electric storage water heaters will utilize heat pump technology to be in compliance. The standards go into effect beginning in 2029.

The Biden administration claims its standards will save households $7.6 billion per year, and contractors who install heat pump water heaters (HPWH) told Just the News that these appliances do save money and operate with efficiency gains far above conventional appliances. But while they praise the technology, they’ve seen considerable problems with the units they’ve installed in the few past years.

The fiat money system will not disappear just like that. Any expectations or hopes to that end should be tempered. Yes, the fiat money system could collapse; yet there is a significant likelihood it will persist longer than most people might think. This prolonged existence may come at a cost: a fascist state encroachment on the freedoms of citizens and entrepreneurs would be more profound than most people realize.

Much ink has been spilt about the impending collapse of the international fiat money system. It is a debate that naturally gains momentum in times of crisis—as witnessed in the aftermath of the 2008/9 global financial market debacle or the politically dictated global lockdown crash of 2020/21.

At the same time, however, it is entirely justified to harbor significant concerns regarding the fiat money system. After all, it is plagued by blatant economic and ethical defects.

I’m sure you recall the banking crisis of March to May 2023.

It began with the collapse of the little-known Silvergate Bank on March 8. This was followed the next day by the collapse of the much larger Silicon Valley Bank (SVB) on March 9. SVB had over $120 billion in uninsured deposits.

Bank deposits over $250,000 each are not covered by FDIC insurance. Those depositors stood to lose all their money over the insured amount. This would have led to the collapse of hundreds of startup tech businesses in Silicon Valley that had placed their working capital on deposit at SVB.

There were also much larger businesses such as Cisco and at least one large cryptocurrency exchange that had billions of dollars on deposit there. Those businesses would have taken huge write-downs based on the size of their uninsured deposits.

On March 9, the FDIC said that indeed the excess deposits were uninsured, and depositors would get “receivership certificates” of uncertain value and zero liquidity instead.

By March 11, the FDIC reversed course and said all deposits would be insured. The Federal Reserve intervened and said they would take any U.S. Treasury securities from member banks in exchange for par value in cash even if the bonds were only worth 80% of par (which most were).

The Mother of All Bailouts

That Sunday night they also closed Signature Bank, a New York-based bank with crypto links. The damage wasn’t done. On March 19, the Swiss National Bank forced a merge of UBS and Credit Suisse, one of the largest banks in the world. Credit Suisse was on the edge of insolvency.

Finally, on May 1, First Republic Bank, with over $225 billion in assets, was ordered closed by the government and sold to JPMorgan.

It was the mother of all bailouts and seemed to leave stock market investors unfazed. The issue was, and is: Once you’ve guaranteed every deposit and agreed to finance every bond at par value, what’s left in your bag of tricks? What can you do in the next crisis that you haven’t already done — except nationalize the banks?

Belarus declared this morning that army units were collaborating with Russian forces on a fresh phase of exercises to practice the deployment of tactical nuclear weapons.

The first phase of the drills, ordered by Russian President Vladimir Putin, took place last month and were condemned by Western leaders as unsettling videos showed soldiers transporting and loading huge missiles.

Moscow late last year decided to hand several of its nuclear devices to Minsk as relations between the Kremlin and the West continued to nosedive.

Belarusian Defence Minister Lieutenant General Viktor Khrenin said the exercises were a proactive measure to 'increase our readiness to use so-called retaliatory weapons'.

'Now, more than ever before, we are determined to respond to any threats posed to both our country and the Union State' between Russia and Belarus, he said.

It’s taken a while, but it seems that the folks in charge at Walmart have decided across most locations in the United States to hire more cashiers due to thousands of customers like myself complaining to no end.

It makes sense that they finally did this. I mean, why have ten registers if only two of them are going to be open?

Webmaster addition: The other issue is people not actually scanning products at the self-checkout, meaning huge losses from this shoplifting.

The official statement released on Thursday cited a “loss of confidence in her ability to lead” but did not provide specific reasons for Capt. Michel Brandt’s dismissal.

“Rear Adm. Christopher Stone, Commander, Expeditionary Strike Group 7 (ESG 7), relieved Capt. Michel Brandt as commanding officer of the San Antonio-class amphibious transport dock USS Somerset (LPD 25), June 6, 2024, due to loss of confidence in her ability to lead the crew,” the statement reads.

But, she also donated $1,000 to Willis’s Democratic primary election campaign around the time she got the massive payouts from the Paycheck Protection Program, Georgia campaign filings show.

The sci-fi show Doctor Who, which streams exclusively on Disney+, has aired its title character’s first gay kiss shortly after Disney CEO Bob Iger told worried investors that the company would dial back its extreme woke messaging.

Ncuti Gatwa, the gay actor who has taken over the role of The Doctor for this latest season of the long-running British sci-fi show (once considered a children’s series), is featured in this week’s episode having a homosexual dalliance with guest star Jonathan Groff (GleeMindhunter).

In episode seven of the 2024 season, titled “Rogue,” the time-skipping Doctor materializes in Bath, England, in 1813, where he chases shape-shifting aliens named the Chuldur who steal people’s likeness and their lives. Along the way, The Doctor meets a space bounty hunter who calls himself “Rogue” (Groff) with whom he develops a sexual fascination.

A mountain pass road near the popular tourist destination of Jackson, Wyoming, collapsed Saturday after a landslide, adding at least an hour of travel time for those who drive on the roadway.

The roadway at milepost 12.8 on Teton Pass "catastrophically failed," severing a large chunk of the winding road, and will remain closed as officials plan how to repair the damage, the Wyoming Department of Transportation (WYDOT) said.

"We understand this highway is a lifeline for commuters, deliveries, medical care access and tourism, especially with limited alternatives and the summer season upon us," WYDOT Director Darin Westby said in a statement.

Aerial photos and drone video show a sheer chasm where the roadway’s pavement used to be, and a guardrail dangling down the collapsed section onto loose dirt and rocks.

San Francisco has opened its first taxpayer-funded free food market in a high-crime area, aiming to provide essential resources to residents but raising concerns about sustainability and effectiveness. The $5.5 million initiative allows eligible residents of Bayview-Hunters Point to shop for groceries without paying, using a benefits card for access.

The District 10 Market, funded by San Francisco’s Human Services Agency, replicates the supermarket experience in an area where many stores have closed due to crime. Geoffrea Morris, who led the legislation for the market, explained that the program supplements food stamps, which often run out before the end of the month. “This is a supplemental source for food, especially close to the end of the month when families are facing the pain,” Morris said.

Critics argue that calling the market “free” is misleading since it is funded by taxpayers. They question why residents in lower-crime areas should subsidize those who continue to support politicians unwilling to address rampant crime.

On Tuesday, nearly one month after TIME published a dark, distorted and dishonest front cover feature that deliberately took Donald Trump out of context and painted him in the worst possible light, the same magazine ran another front cover feature on Joe Biden, titled, “‘We Are the World Power.’ How Joe Biden Leads.”

The contrast between the two pieces could not have been more glaring, and the tone could not have been more different. The reader would not be hard-pressed to wonder which candidate TIME prefers.

Instead of Biden facing any serious line of questioning or pushback about the catastrophic decisions he has made or not made, we are treated to a fawning, sycophantic work of “journalism” far removed from reality—in an embarrassing attempt to humanize good ol’ Scranton Joe.

The 21-minute Biden puff piece, which was written by TIME’s Washington bureau chief, Massimo Calabres, focuses almost exclusively on Biden’s supposed “foreign policy successes,” while ignoring his self-inflicted catastrophes here at home—in an attempt to distract from the disastrous job he has done on the domestic front.

Gaza children inspect damage to a UN-run school being used as a shelter

The upcoming inclusion of Israel on a UN list of countries and armed forces determined to be failing to protect children in war prompted a furious Israeli response Friday.

The annual "Children and Armed Conflict" report from UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres is not due to be published until June 18, but Israel's UN ambassador, Gilad Erdan, spoke out after receiving private notification of the inclusion.

"I am utterly shocked and disgusted by this shameful decision," Erdan said in a statement.

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu posted on his X social media account that the UN "put itself today on history's blacklist when it adopted the absurd claims of Hamas

Claire's Observations:  Mr. Prime Minister, a word, please: IF what you say is in fact correct, could you please explain to both me and the world, what the hell happened here? https://euromedmonitor.org/en/article/6246/In-a-week,-Israeli-army-executes-13-children-in-and-near-Al-Shifa-Hospital

And here?

And with these incidents?!?

Sir, forgive me for saying this, but it is clearly obvious that  someone here is lying; I doubt highly that they are the writers or narrators of these incidents.   And no one can change the facts on the ground here, in all of these.
