"I have come to the conclusion that one useless man is a shame, two are lawyers and three or more are the government." -- John Adams (1735 - 1826)

A recent poll showed that a vast majority of Americans believe that President Joe Biden is not fit for the presidency following a number of verbal stumbles and the release of special counsel Robert Hur’s report regarding Biden’s alleged retention of classified documents. The latest poll is one in a series that shows significant concern among the public regarding whether or not Biden was too old or unhealthy for the White House.

According to the recent Quinnipiac poll, two-thirds of American voters believe that Biden’s age could limit his ability in a possible second term. Only 34% said that they were confident in the president’s mental fitness. Another 35% said the same about Biden’s physical fitness.

However, the news appeared to be worse for Biden as 60% said that they believed that Trump was physically healthy enough for the job.

A group of Michigan voters expressed their disappointment and regret for voting for Joe Biden in 2020 and said they won’t make that same mistake again.

MSBNC had assembled several Biden voters into a panel to gauge how they still feel about him heading into the 2024 election — and their responses were not encouraging for Democrats.

“Is there a path forward for you with Biden?” the MSNBC host asked a female voter.

“Oh, absolutely not. You cannot keep killing people with our money,” she replied, citing Biden’s handling of the Israel-Gaza conflict.

Data scientist David Rozado presents his complete collection of Google Gemini 17th Century physicists.

He thinks the one in the lower right corner might be reminiscent of a European physicist like Galileo, who looked like this. But the other 48 definitely do not.

Rozado writes:

… when having to choose between historical accuracy and diversity/inclusion, Google’s Gemini prioritizes the later, at least for the particular case above.

Jonathan Haidt has spoken previously about the tension between truth and DEI in situations where they inexorably conflict (like the example above illustrates). A critical societal issue derived from such tension is who gets to decide how present and future AI systems knobs are adjusted in regard to this trade-off.

I think most people would agree that a self-anointed group of elites making those decisions is probably sub-optimal. A more promising alternative might be personalized AI systems where individual users can adjust the knobs themselves and decide for instance how much accuracy/truth they are willing to sacrifice in favor of AI outputs conforming to certain normative values.

Harvard’s Plagiarism Problem Multiplies

Harvard has a plagiarism problem. At the beginning of the year, Claudine Gay resigned as university president following a plagiarism scandal. Weeks later, the Washington Free Beacon published a report indicating that Harvard’s chief diversity officer, Sherri Ann Charleston, apparently plagiarized passages in multiple academic papers.

Now allegations have emerged that another Harvard DEI administrator, Shirley Greene, of Harvard Extension School, plagiarized more than 40 passages of her 2008 dissertation, “Converging Frameworks: Examining the Impact of Diversity-Related College Experiences on Racial/Ethnic Identity Development.” According to the Harvard directory, Greene is a Title IX coordinator affiliated with the Office for Gender Equity. She has worked to advance “Diversity, Inclusion, and Belonging,” and hosted a panel on “The Past, Present, and Future of Juneteenth” in conjunction with the DEI department. (Harvard did not respond to an emailed request for comment.)

The last time we checked on the strain of avian flu (i.e., “bird flu) sweeping across the globe, Northern California poultry farms had been hit hard, the elephant seal pup population in Venezuela wiped out, the first penguin infections were reported, and two people seriously infected by H5N1 in Cambodia.

Furthermore, research indicates the virus has mutated to target the brains of mammals.

You are likely thinking that responsible scientists would focus on looking for cures rather than mutating the pathogen into something worse.

How 2019 of you!

The US government is spending $1million of American taxpayer money to fund experiments on dangerous bird flu viruses in collaboration with Chinese scientists.

The research involves infecting ducks and geese with different strains of viruses to make them more infectious, and study the viruses’ potential to ‘jump into mammalian hosts,’ according to research documents.

The Republican South Carolina primary kicked off on Saturday with 50 delegates up for grabs.

President Trump crushed Nikki Haley in her home state in South Carolina’s presidential primary.

NBC projected Trump as the winner with 59% of the vote to Haley’s 40%.

NBC News reported:

Former President Donald Trump won a resounding victory in South Carolina’s GOP presidential primary on Saturday, NBC News projects, continuing a winning streak through each Republican nominating contest so far — and putting him in position to potentially clinch the party’s presidential nomination within the next month.

Defeat for former South Carolina Gov. Nikki Haley is a blow in her home state. A total of 50 delegates were on the line in Saturday’s contest, which are split between the statewide winner and the winner of each congressional district. And Trump’s dominant performance in the exit polling and earliest results suggest he could pull off a clean sweep.

The NBC exit poll shows Trump and Haley fighting to a near-draw among Republican voters with college degrees: Trump 51%, Haley 47%. But it was a blowout among the bigger group of primary voters without degrees: Trump 75%, Haley 25%.

It’s called “Newspeak,” and you may soon be guilty of a serious crime. Freedom of speech has never been under more assault than right now in the United States.

Every sector of the country is facing calls to ban or criminalize free speech that doesn’t bow to the “accepted” thinking ordered by the government. This style of government was exposed decades ago in the book, 1984. Every patriotic American should own a copy and have sections underlined.

What the book exposed as “Newspeak” – creating alternate facts by changing definitions– is now a reality in aspects of local, state, and federal government entities throughout the United States. Americans face a tyrannical world where one day your free speech is protected by the Constitution and the next, you’re hauled off to jail for opening your mouth.

From The Daily Wire:
A recently introduced bill in the state of Illinois would change the definition of “abused child” to include minors whose parents object to their children receiving puberty blockers, cross-sex hormones, transgender surgeries, and abortions.

An Indiana family was ripped apart recently by activist government officials who want to control parents’ actions. The parents in the case were labeled as unfit because they refused to bow to government oppression.

From Fox News:
A Catholic couple in Indiana is asking the Supreme Court to hold the state accountable for keeping their child out of their home after they declined to use his chosen name and pronouns.

In M.C. and J.C. v. Indiana Department of Child Services, Mary and Jeremy Cox are appealing to the Supreme Court after they were investigated by Indiana officials for refusing to refer to their son using pronouns and a name inconsistent with his biological sex.

“This is what every parent is afraid of,” Mary and Jeremy Cox said in a press release. “We love our son and wanted to care for him, but the state of Indiana robbed us of that opportunity by taking him from our home and banning us from speaking to him about gender.”

House Speaker Mike Johnson (R-LA) is warning against election gimmicks by President Joe Biden as he ramps up his efforts to get reelected in November’s election. Taking a shot at the commander-in-chief in a statement on Thursday, Johnson made it clear that American voters “have lost faith” in Biden and “won’t be fooled by election year gimmicks that don’t actually secure the border.”

“Nor will they forget that the President created this catastrophe and, until now, has refused to use his executive power to fix it,” he added.

Johnson’s statement comes in reaction to reports that Biden is considering executive action that will restrict asylum claims by blocking unlawful crossings into the country. The action, which involved Section 212(f) of the Immigration and Nationality Act, will give Biden the power to foreigners who are considered “detrimental” to U.S. interests from entering the country.

Former White House press secretary and Fox News contributor Ari Fleischer stated Friday that President Joe Biden’s “memory loss” led to his “biggest mistake,” calling out the withdrawal from Afghanistan.

Fleischer appeared on “Hannity” to discuss concerns over Biden’s mounting political issues as the 2024 presidential election approaches. The Fox News host asked Fleischer how he is analyzing the upcoming race, to which Fleischer stated the United States is in need of both a “strong” and “sharp” leader. (RELATED: Biden Admin Partially Backtracks On Buying American-Made Materials For Rural Internet Rollout)

Fleischer called out Biden’s withdrawal from Afghanistan in August 2021 which led to the death of 13 Americans from a terrorist attack. He slammed the president over his backtracking on being briefed about the withdrawal, noting why his memory led to the “deadly” incident.

Joe Biden has lost it.

No, not his brain. That curdled to cream decades ago.

Finally, his most fervid and frothing cheerleaders – from the New York Times to the dreary Daily Show – are fleeing the wreckage and tentatively raising the alarm.

What on Earth took them so long? Why are the liberalia finally waking up to wet beds and admitting that, perhaps, their collapsing candidate has drifted off from his moorings.

You have to give them credit, they stuck around and clung on as long as they could – inventing every excuse and ruse that suited them. That Young Joe was raring to go, claims of senility were a MAGA witch hunt, and haven't you seen how fabulous Kamala is?

In one sense the Ukraine conflict is over.  In another sense it is dangerously expanding.

Biden and Putin are taking the path to nuclear war.  Biden by providing long range missiles to Ukraine, and Putin by refusing to use sufficient force to bring the conflict to an end before it spins out of control.

To again repeat my warning, by allowing the war to drag on, Putin is inviting more provocations and more dangerous provocations.  Putin’s way of fighting the conflict has cost far more lives than a quick and total military victory which would have been over before Western involvement could be organized.

The mainstream media has lost all credibility in recent years, with its coverage of the pandemic and election leaving little doubt about who is running things and where they stand. There are lots of places to pin the blame for how it reached this state, but one big factor is former president Barack Obama.

In fact, it was his move to repeal the Smith-Mundt Act, also known as the U.S. Information and Educational Exchange Act of 1948, that set the stage for the current propaganda machine that the national media has become. This move allowed propaganda to be used in broadcasting and took away the requirement for it to be credible. It essentially allowed the media to use propaganda against Americans.

Before the act was repealed, U.S. programming that was produced by the Broadcasting Board of Governors (BBG) – now known as the United States Agency for Global Media – such as the Voice of America, Radio Liberty, Radio Free Europe and Middle East Broadcasting Networks, could only be consumed at broadcast quality overseas. Available in 61 languages and more than 100 countries, it covered topics such human trafficking in Asia and human rights abuses in Iran.

The act was amended in the 1970s, and in 1985, Nebraska Senator Edward Zorinsky said that this type of propaganda should not be allowed in the U.S. in order to set us apart “from the Soviet Union where domestic propaganda is a principal government activity.”

A Republican prosecutor in Arizona is refusing to extradite a man wanted for murder in New York City. The prosecutor claims she is looking out for the victims’ families and cannot guarantee the suspect will remain locked up due to Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg’s woke policies.

Maricopa County Attorney Rachel Mitchell told reporters in Arizona that she has ordered her staff not to cooperate in any efforts to send the suspect, identified as Raad Noan Almansoori, back to New York, where he’s wanted for murder.

“This is not aimed at the New York Police Department at all. I know they did a hard job, they did a good job, but we will not be agreeing to extradition,” Mitchell said. “I’ve instructed my extradition attorneys not to agree to that. We’re going to keep him here.”

Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis' cell phone records obtained by Donald Trump's legal team reportedly "prove that she lied under oath" about when her affair with Nathan Wade began.

From TechnoFog, "New Cell Phone Records Prove DA Willis Affair":

In a February 2, 2022 filing, DA Willis submitted Wade's affidavit to the Court which stated: "In 2022, District Attorney Willis and I developed a personal relationship." DA Willis and Wade both testified that the relationship started sometime in early 2022.

But Wade's cell phone records disprove their official story - and prove that Willis and Wade lied under oath before the Court. In a filing today from President Trump's attorneys, records indicate that the "relationship" between DA Willis and Wade was romantic well-before Wade's November 1, 2021 appointment by Willis as Special Prosecutor.

- Trump's attorneys were able to obtain, by subpoena to AT&T, Wade's cell phone records from 1/1/2021 through 11/30/2021. Wade's location data was analyzed by an investigator hired by the attorneys - an analytical tool which generated geolocation data that pinpointed Wade's presence at DA Willis's South Fulton Condo during that time period.
