As rescue workers continued to bring out bodies from the rubble of an apartment block struck by a Russian missile in the central Ukrainian city of Dnipro on Saturday, the United Nations said on Monday that it had confirmed the deaths of more than 7,000 Ukrainian civilians in the 11 months since Russia invaded.

United Nations monitors in Ukraine said those killed included 2,784 men, 1,875 women and another 1,939 adults whose gender was unknown. Those known to have died included 398 children, the monitors reported. The numbers include only those the United Nations has been able to corroborate, and the U.N. acknowledges that the full civilian toll is much higher.

While U.N. monitors reported that 104 Ukrainian civilians had been killed in the first half of January, the U.N. human rights office in Geneva said those deaths would not have included victims of Saturday’s missile strike on Dnipro, which destroyed a nine-story apartment building. By Monday, Ukrainian officials said 40 people had died in that attack and more than 30 people remained unaccounted for.

A Colorado astrophysicist has claimed her field is steeped in white supremacy and sexism because 'hypermasculine' and 'violent' language is used to describe stars.

Natalie Gosnell, an assistant professor at Colorado College, takes an unconventional approach to physics by comparing stars with humans to turn science into an art.

In an interview with the college newspaper she claimed she has struggled to overcome a division between art and science that is rooted in 'systemic racism.'

Her work aims 'to cross typical disciplinary boundaries to create art-science pieces that re-inscribe outer space as feminist space,' she said on her website. 

'Both artists and scientists are just observing things about the world, interpreting those observations, and then sharing their interpretation,' Gosnell told Colorado College News.

'As an astrophysicist, I am a product of institutions steeped in systemic racism and white supremacy,' she said.

Suggestions that academic fields like science and engineering are male-dominated are common and generally accepted but Gosnell goes further by arguing that the language used to describe scientific phenomena is sexist and racist.

The way in which stars burn through their fuel and die is viewed through a 'hypermasculine' lens and the metaphors used are often 'very violent,' she claimed.

An example she gave was that stars which take mass from other stars are labeled 'bad boys,' though this does not seem to be a widely used scientific term.

The Biden administration’s prosecution of pro-life father Mark Houck begins in federal court in Philadelphia next week. Houck faces 11 years in prison and fines for peacefully protesting abortion.

Biden’s FBI raided the home of the well-known pro-life advocate and arrested him on a bogus charge that had already been thrown out of court. Biden’s administration is coming under fire for weaponizing the FBI and Department of Justice to target pro-life conservatives.

Tax dollars from citizens of Indiana, Illinois, and Wisconsin are funneling into state university health programs that openly provide unproven hormonal injections shown to be exceptionally risky—including possible side effects of infertility, cancer, and death.

Indiana University’s Student Health Center, the University Health Services for University of Wisconsin-Madison, and the University of Illinois’ McKinley Center all provide hormonal injections for students and other services they claim are “gender-affirming care” without parental notification and often with great medical risk.

The University of Wisconsin-Madison’s “Informed Consent” form for receiving “feminizing hormones” contains several contradictions. 

In the introduction, the form describes hormone replacement therapy, or HRT, as an “important component of transition” that “can greatly improve quality of life, psychological well-being, and affirm identity.” The form goes on to describe increased chances for migraines, decreased bone density, diabetes, infertility, cancer, and death.

Afourth tranche of documents marked classified was found at President Joe Biden’s Wilmington, Delaware residence, White House counsel revealed over the weekend.

The discovery follows that of other documents from Biden’s time as vice president, which were found at a Washington think tank and in his personal garage. A third discovery, this time of a classified document in Biden’s Delaware home, occurred on Thursday. When classified documents were supposedly found at former President Donald Trump’s palace at Mar-a-Lago through an FBI raid, Biden shamed his Republican predecessor as “irresponsible.”

“How that could possibly happen, how one — anyone could be that irresponsible,” Biden said.

From the moment the first records were discovered at the Penn Biden Center for Diplomacy and Global Engagement in Washington, however, Biden’s allies in the legacy press corps jumped to give cover for the flagrant hypocrisy. And of course, shortly after news of the records surfaced, the narratives collapsed.

The FBI indicated its investigative interest in pro-abortion protests last summer outside the homes of Supreme Court justices, although the bureau apparently didn’t act, according to a document obtained by The Daily Signal.  

After someone leaked the court’s draft majority opinion in Dobbs v. Jackson Women’s Health Organization on May 2,  protesters demonstrated for months outside the Virginia residences of Justices Amy Coney Barrett, Samuel Alito, and Clarence Thomas, and the Maryland homes of Chief Justice John Roberts and Justice Brett Kavanaugh.  

Just days after the leak of the draft opinion that ultimately would overturn Roe v. Wade and abortion on demand, the FBI issued a report to multiple FBI field offices, Virginia State Police, and possibly other police departments, highlighting news articles of interest. 

 Several of the articles were about pro-abortion activists holding protests outside the homes of the Supreme Court’s six conservative justices. 

Though it’s blown up into a major scandal, there’s still a lot of unknown surrounding Joe Biden’s illegal possession of classified documents after his vice presidency. How did the documents get there? Why are they just being “found” at what seems like the most politically opportune time?

Dan Bongino recently appeared on Fox and Friends and offered two theories, and neither of them looks good.

To start, Bongino suggests this could be a “sabotage hit job” against Biden by Democrats who want to force him out of the 2024 race. Though the president hasn’t declared yet, he and his cohorts have made it pretty clear he’s going to run for reelection.

I don’t know yet if this is a natural law but it seems to be a pretty workable rule of thumb: the more power over the citizenry is acquired by the State, the more miserable the citizenry becomes. There are two ways to view the role of government:

• One is that the People should serve their government.
• The other is that their government should serve the people.

All governments are powered by the energy of the people. Where  the former concept prevails, government has little value for the People and will ultimately starve of energy and decline and fail. The  optimum form of government, so far as The People are concerned, is the latter:  a government that serves the People and is  motivated b duty to the People. Either option only prevails with the agreement or acceptance of the People. It is for us to decide and agree upon which one we want. Legitimate functions of a government designed and run for service to the people are:

US House Republicans want access to the visitor logs at President Biden’s private home in Delaware. The White House said there are no records of visitors. Meanwhile, the Republican congressman leading the investigation into Joe Biden’s mishandling of classified documents said President Biden’s personal attorneys were still sifting through documents after the Justice Department appointed a special counsel to look into the scandal.

As President Joe Biden is rumored to soon announce a 2024 bid for re-election, the developing investigation into several batches of classified documents found in his possession could cause turmoil for a potential campaign.

Last week, news broke of three sets of classified documents found at the Penn Biden Center and in two separate locations at the president's home in Wilmington, Delaware. On Saturday, White House Special Counsel Richard Sauber revealed that five additional pages of classified materials were found at Biden's home on Thursday when attorneys with security clearances went to the location.

Though many Democratic and Republican strategists believe the classified documents scandal won't play a major role in Biden's 2024 aspirations, some political insiders told Fox News Digital that it's still not an ideal situation for a president seeking re-election — particularly as it opens Biden up to GOP attacks.

San Francisco’s reparations committee has proposed paying each Black longtime resident $5 million and granting total debt forgiveness due to the decades of "systematic repression" faced by the local Black community.

The San Francisco African American Reparations Advisory Committee, which advises the city on developing a plan for reparations for Black residents, released its draft report last month to address reparations – not for slavery, since California was not technically a slave state, but "to address the public policies explicitly created to subjugate Black people in San Francisco by upholding and expanding the intent and legacy of chattel slavery."

"While neither San Francisco, nor California, formally adopted the institution of chattel slavery, the tenets of segregation, white supremacy and systematic repression and exclusion of Black people were codified through legal and extralegal actions, social codes, and judicial enforcement," the draft states.

Approximately 330,000 illegal border crossings into the European Union (EU) were recorded in 2022, the highest figure since the migration crisis of 2016. According to the latest data from EU border agency Frontex, the number of illegal entries into the Union increased 64 percent from the previous year.

Syrian, Afghan, and Tunisian nationals account for half of the entries

According to the Agency, 330,000 irregular entries were recorded in 2022. The number of Syrian nationals has practically doubled to 94,000. “This is the second consecutive year with a sharp increase in the number of irregular entries,” Frontex said in a statement, adding that Syrians, Afghans, and Tunisians together accounted for 47% of irregular entries in 2022.
