Nearly one in three (29.2%) U.K. Met Office temperature measuring stations have an internationally-defined margin of error of up to 5°C. Another 48.7% of the total 380 stations could produce errors up to 2°C, meaning nearly eight out of ten stations (77.9%) are producing ‘junk’ or ‘near junk’ readings of surface air temperatures. Arguably, on no scientific basis should these figures be used for the Met Office’s constant promotion of the collectivist Net Zero project. Nevertheless, the state-funded operation frequently uses them to report and often catastrophise rises in temperature of as little as 0.01°C.

Greg Stenstrom and Leah Hoopes, alongside former President Donald Trump, emerged victorious in a high-profile defamation case in Pennsylvania. The lawsuit, known as “SAVAGE VS TRUMP ETAL,” alleged malicious and defamatory statements against the Plaintiff, James Savage, following the 2020 Presidential election.

The case was one of the only remaining 2020 election cases on the books.

The Gateway Pundit has been following this case for years now.

The case revolved around accusations made by Gregory Stenstrom and Leah Hoopes, two GOP poll watchers, claiming that Savage, the supervisor and chief custodian of the Delaware County Voting Machine Warehouse, manipulated vote tabulation in favor of Joe Biden.

US Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin testifies during a House Armed Services Committee hearing in Washington, DC on February 29, 2024

US Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin testifies during a House Armed Services Committee hearing in Washington, DC on February 29, 2024

US lawmakers sharply criticized Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin on Thursday over the failure to inform the White House about his hospitalization earlier this year for complications from cancer treatment.

Both Democrats and Republicans expressed dismay over the secrecy, but the House Armed Services Committee hearing ultimately shed little light on why information had been withheld from other top officials.

"It's totally unacceptable that it took three days to inform the president of the United States that the secretary of defense was in the hospital and not in control of the Pentagon," Representative Mike Rogers, the committee's Republican chairman, said during the hearing.

"Wars were raging in Ukraine and Israel, our ships were under fire in the Red Sea and our bases were bracing for attack in Syria and Iraq. But the commander-in-chief did not know that his secretary of defense was out of action," Rogers said.

Claire's Observations; it will be awhile before we fully understand how and why the Bidenistas let this slide, without firing Sec Def Austin; unfortunately, we do not have any real handle on Sec Def Austin's prognosis, or ability to lead the DOD into a very complex international future.

CHRISTCHURCH, New Zealand — The Indian government is closer to buying a multibillion-dollar package of cruise missiles, air defense weapons, surveillance radars and fighter jet engines following approval from the country’s highest decision-making body on security affairs.

At a Feb. 21 meeting, the Cabinet Committee on Security approved the four procurement projects cumulatively worth about 350 billion rupees (U.S. $4 billion).

According to local media reports quoting government sources, the approved items were BrahMos cruise missiles for the Navy, air defense guns for the Army, ground-based air surveillance radars and new engines for the Air Force’s MiG-29 fighters.

Approval by the committee, which Prime Minister Narendra Modi chairs, is a necessary step along the Defence Ministry’s contractual pathway.

Claire's Observations:  To use against whom, please?!?

House Republicans are considering lending the Ukrainian government funding for the country's war against Russia rather than providing $61 billion under the Senate-passed foreign aid bill, Just the News has learned.

According to a Council on Foreign Relations analysis, the U.S. government has spent $75 billion on the war in Ukraine.

Following a White House meeting on Tuesday, President Biden and Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer have stepped up pressure on House Speaker Mike Johnson to put the Senate bill –  which totals $95 billion for Ukraine, Israel, Taiwan, and humanitarian efforts in Gaza –  on the floor for a vote. The foreign aid package does not include provisions to cover the cost of the legislation.

Webmaster addition:  Will those loans be forgiven the way the student loans were?

ISLAMABAD (AP) — Pakistan's National Assembly swore in newly elected members on Thursday in a chaotic scene, as allies of jailed former Premier Imran Khan protested what they claim was a rigged election.

Lawmakers from Khan's Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf party repeatedly chanted "Vote-thief!” as Shehbaz Sharif, who's expected to form the government, entered the lower house of parliament with his brother Nawaz Sharif. Both men are former premiers.

Claire's Observations:  Hey, the Pakistani Elites understand that "imitation is the sincerest form of flattery", courtesy of the last US rigged elections!!!!!

LONDON (AP) — Prime Minister Rishi Sunak said Britain is descending into “mob rule” because of the pressures created by protests against the Israel-Hamas war — words criticized as alarmist by a human rights group.

Sunak told a meeting of police leaders on Wednesday that there was a ”pattern of increasingly violent and intimidatory behavior” that’s intended to “shout down free debate and stop elected representatives doing their job.”

“There is a growing consensus that mob rule is replacing democratic rule,” he said, according to a transcript released by the prime minister’s office. “And we’ve got to collectively, all of us, change that urgently.”

Tom Southerden of Amnesty International said Thursday that talk of mob rule “wildly exaggerates the issue and risks delegitimizing the rights of peaceful protest.”

Claire's Observations:  Sunak is hurling the defy at peaceful British citizens, who are absolutely, and reasonably furious, at the UK's attitude toward this Israeli genocide of Palestinians.

Sunak and his family are Hindus; and Sunak stated on Tuesday, August 15, 2023, that "...his Hindu faith guides him in every aspect of his life and gives him the courage to do the best as the Prime Minister of Britain."

I would very much like to hope and pray that "his Hindu faith" does not generate any animosity toward his Muslim  British  citizens, as between Hindu and Muslim Indians, there is not a lot of "love lost" in their relations:

As reported at the NT Times, 9 February, 2024: Burned Vehicles Litter Streets After Clashes in Northern India

"Protests broke out in the town of Halwani, India, after officials and police arrived to demolish a mosque and a Muslim seminary."

Archaeologists in Iraq believe they may have found the lost tomb of King Gilgamesh - the subject of the oldest "book" in history.

The Epic Of Gilgamesh - written by a Middle Eastern scholar 2,500 years before the birth of Christ - commemorated the life of the ruler of the city of Uruk, from which Iraq gets its name.

Now, a German-led expedition has discovered what is thought to be the entire city of Uruk - including, where the Euphrates once flowed, the last resting place of its famous King.

"I don't want to say definitely it was the grave of King Gilgamesh, but it looks very similar to that described in the epic," Jorg Fassbinder, of the Bavarian department of Historical Monuments in Munich, told the BBC World Service's Science in Action programme.

A few years ago, Oregon decided to decriminalize drug use, perhaps in an attempt to further prove their progressive values. Things did not work out as planned.

In addition to a sharp rise in crime and homelessness, Portland and other areas in the state saw a dramatic rise in drug related deaths, many of them due to fentanyl use.

Now lawmakers are pushing to recriminalize drug use and even Democrats are supporting the effort.

The gulf between the United States and the rest of the world — in particular the Global South — on the Israel-Palestine conflict remains sharp and wide.

This was demonstrated yet again at The Hague last week, where the International Court of Justice (ICJ) is hearing a case triggered by a U.N. General Assembly (UNGA) resolution in December 2022 seeking an advisory opinion on the “legal consequences” of the Israeli occupation of Palestine.

The case has taken on even greater significance in the current context of Israel’s military action in Gaza and the West Bank. The Israeli assault (in response to Hamas’s October 7 attack) has led to around 30,000 Palestinian deaths and widespread destruction of homes, mosques, churches, hospitals, and community centers with seemingly no end in sight. A BBC investigation at the end of January found that between 50% and 61% of the Gaza Strip’s buildings had been destroyed or damaged in the war, while over 80% of the population had been displaced.

Keys to Lost Homes in Gaza Become Latest Symbols of Palestinian Displacement

RAFAH, Gaza Strip (Reuters) - Palestinians displaced by Israel's military offensive on Gaza are holding onto keys to damaged or destroyed homes as a symbol of their loss, a tradition dating back to the mass displacement of 1948.

The keys to homes lost in 1948 have been handed down the generations of some refugee families, a symbol of what they consider their right to return - one of the most intractable issues in the Israeli-Palestinian conflict.

Now, keys to homes bombarded in the Israel-Hamas war raging since October are also taking on a symbolic meaning.

War in Israel and Gaza

"History is repeating itself," said Hatem Al-Ferani, sheltering in a tent in Rafah, southern Gaza, with his family.

"My grandfather took the key and left with it, hoping to come back, and I took the key hoping to return to my apartment and find it as it was."

Instead, during a week-long truce in November, Al-Ferani received pictures showing that the family home, an apartment in a block shared with his parents and brothers in Jabalia refugee camp in northern Gaza, had been destroyed.

"This is the key to that home, which I worked hard for," he said, holding it up. "I am now 44 years old. At this age, I need to start my life from the beginning and build a new house."

The war began when militants from Hamas, the Islamist group that has run Gaza since 2007, attacked southern Israel on Oct. 7, killing 1,200 people and taking 253 hostage, according to Israel. It was the worst day of violence against Jews since the Holocaust.

SYMBOL OF A DREAM

Hussein Abu Amsha is in a similar situation to that of Al-Ferani. He and his family are in a tent in Rafah, and during the truce he received a video that showed their home in Beit Hanoun, northeastern Gaza, had been bombarded.

"This key is all that's left of the house," he said, showing a key fastened to a keyring made from a coin with the word "Palestine" on it, which he said dated back to the British Mandate period, before the creation of Israel.

"The key represents the homeland for all of us. We cannot live without a homeland," said Abu Amsha. "We hope to be able to go back, even if it's just to a tent on top of our house."

Mohammed Al-Majdalawi, displaced from Al-Shati refugee camp in northern Gaza, said he remembered his grandfather showing him an old key and recounting memories of 1948, and now he was going through a similar experience.

"What did I do to Israel for them to destroy my home? The children of the world are living well while our children are living in humiliation, dying and getting sick in this cold," he said.

Russian President Vladimir Putin has warned that the West is risking nuclear war if it sends troops to Ukraine. In his State of the Union address, he claimed that NATO and the US are preparing to "strike Russian territory".

He said: "They must realise that we also have weapons that can hit targets on their territory. All this really threatens a conflict with the use of nuclear weapons and the destruction of civilization. Don't they get that?"

Putin previously threatened nuclear war with the West as tensions continue over the war in Ukraine. Putin also announced that his new RS-28 Sarmat intercontinental ballistic missile, also known as the Satan-II, is ready for use by the Russian military.

The missile measures 116 feet in length, weighs 220 tonnes, and reportedly has a range of 6,200 to 11,180 miles.

Israeli National Security Minister, Itamar Ben-Gvir, voiced support, Thursday, for Israeli soldiers after a shooting left more than 100 Palestinians dead as they were waiting for humanitarian aid in Gaza City, Anadolu Agency reports.

“We must give complete support to our heroic fighters operating in Gaza, who acted excellently against a Gazan mob that tried to harm them,” Ben-Gvir said in a statement.

He reiterated his demand to halt the entry of humanitarian aid into Gaza, claiming it poses threats to soldiers.

“Today it was proven that the transfer of humanitarian aid to Gaza is not only madness while our hostages are held in the Strip … but also endangers IDF (Israeli army) soldiers,” said Ben-Gvir.

He also called the incident “another clear reason why we must stop transferring this aid”.

Early Thursday, Israeli forces shelled a crowd of Palestinians waiting for humanitarian aid south of Gaza City at the “Incunabula Roundabout” area, leaving at least 104 Palestinians dead and 760 injured, according to the Gaza-based Health Ministry.

Israel has launched a deadly military offensive on Gaza since an Oct. 7 Hamas attack, which Tel Aviv said killed less than 1,200 people.

However, since then, it has been revealed by Haaretz that helicopters and tanks of the Israeli army had, in fact, killed many of the 1,139 soldiers and civilians claimed by Israel to have been killed by the Palestinian Resistance.

At least 30,035 Palestinians have since been killed and 70,457 others injured amid mass destruction and shortages of necessities.

Claire's Observations:  Minister Ben Gvir, a word, please;  The IDF used this tactic very effectively, to lure Palestinians, on the very cusp of starvation, toward the trucks in utter desperation, hoping to get something, and so they did; assassination, or wounding/maiming for life courtesy of the IDF.

Conflating "self-defense" with genocide, on the part of the Israeli government, is going over like the proverbial lead balloon, internationally, and here in the US, It could well be a deciding factor in American Regime Change (should elections actually happen in November, which is still debatable.)

But Minister Ben Gvir, there is something of which I can almost assure you right now; somewhere in the deepest bowels of hell, one Josef Mengele is applauding and thinking, "WOW, WHAT GREAT TACTICS BY THE IDF: starvation as a prelude to mass desperation, leading to mass extermination!!"
