Given Musk’s net worth, he’s a prime candidate for having the most state-of-the-art security system available in the world today. He could also afford to hire a small army to protect himself and each one of his eight children non-stop.

Still, he seems to be showing that the most reliable home defense option that an American can have is a bedside firearm.

Liberal anti-gunners came out in droves to respond to Musk’s tweet.

When it comes to lying about a man’s record, Rep. Adam Schiff should know.

The California Democrat spent the last years of the last decade telling a story with a straight face about there being evidence “in plain sight” about then-President Donald Trump engaging in “collusion” with Russia — a hoax that came up empty, despite special counsel Robert Mueller’s best efforts.

Schiff then embellished recorded quotations and shamelessly stage-managed investigations on his road to leading the prosecution in the first Trump impeachment trial that was based on a pretense so thin it’s barely remembered anymore.

Now, after amassing a personal record as contemptible as any that’s been compiled on Capitol Hill, and facing imminent removal from the House committee he currently chairs, Schiff is complaining to a compliant media that he’s the one who’s being victimized.

It’s not going as well as he probably hoped.

The White House steered away from speaking out against China's response to protesters on Monday, saying it supported anyone's right to peacefully protest - but falling far short of offering solidarity with demonstrators demanding the removal of President Xi Jinping.

Earlier Chinese police tightened security at the sites of weekend protests in Shanghai and Beijing.

Crowds had gathered in anger over China's zero-Covid policies, and in some cases demanded the removal of Xi.

'We want freedom,' has become their rallying cry.

While President Joe Biden has recently spoken up enthusiastically in favor of protests in Iran, this time officials said he had no plan to comment on China.

'The president's not gonna speak for protesters around the world,' said White House National Security Council official John Kirby when asked about Biden's response to protesters freedom chants.

'They're speaking for themselves ...

'What we are doing is making it clear that we support the right of peaceful protest.'

The Israel Air Force this week will hold one of its largest drills in years with the United States Air Force simulating offensive strikes against Iran’s nuclear program.

The drill will take place from Tuesday until Thursday over the Mediterranean Sea and Israel. It will include long-range flights such as those that Israeli pilots might need to make in order to reach the Islamic Republic.

The exercise will include refuelers as well as fighter jets from both forces.

The Biden administration on Monday notified Congress it has approved a possible $323 million arms sale to Finland as the country seeks to join NATO.

The administration approved the potential sale of 40 tactical missiles and 48 Joint Standoff Weapons, made by Raytheon, in addition to accompanying equipment, training and support, the State Department said in a release.

The low-emission zone in central London, within which motorists are charged £12.50 (€14.56) per day for driving the most polluting vehicles, is set to be extended to cover the whole of London, the city’s left-wing mayor, Sadiq Khan, announced on Friday.

From Aug. 29 next year, the Ultra Low Emission Zone (ULEZ), which currently covers the heart of London will be extended to the Greater London Authority boundary, a move that will increase the costs of hundreds of thousands of commuters and residents who drive non-compliant vehicles.

Khan described the decision to extend the zone as “one of the toughest decisions” he’s taken as mayor, but claimed the move will see 5 million more people benefit from cleaner air.

“The ULEZ so far has been transformational, reducing harmful pollution levels by almost a half in central London,” Khan said.

“But there is still far too much toxic air pollution permanently damaging the health of young Londoners and leading to thousands of early deaths every year, with the greatest number of deaths in the outer London boroughs,” he added.

Good thing the UK recently "war gamed" emergency plans to deal with energy shortfalls because a collapse in wind power has skyrocketed electricity prices, and network operator National Grid Plc might ask homes and businesses to reduce power use on Tuesday.

Some hourly power contracts for Tuesday jumped above £1,200 ($1,445.92) a megawatt-hour on Epex Spot SE as wind generation is set to come to an abrupt halt, reported Bloomberg

In its relentless pursuit of virtue-signaling hills that it is willing to die on within minutes, several months ago the EU had a brilliant idea: let's implement a toothless oil price cap on Russian oil exports, one which actually has zero impact on deeply discounted Russian oil and thus doesn't lead to any more European energy shocks, but because of the optics and the much "lower" permitted transaction price, it will make for great headlines and show the world just how powerful the EU is.

Well, the plan almost worked... until Poland the Baltics forgot to read the fine print, thought that Europe actually does mean business, and blew up the deal.

Recall on Friday, negotiations on the Russian oil price cap were suspended - despite a willingness by most European nations to just cross the checkmark and move on - as Poland and the Baltic states objected to a proposed ceiling of $65.

There’s another Special Military Operation on the market. No, it’s not Russia “denazifying” and “demilitarizing” Ukraine – and, therefore, it’s no wonder that this other operation is not ruffling feathers across the collective West.

Operation Claw-Sword was launched by Turkey’s President Recep Tayyip Erdogan as revenge – highly emotional and concerted – for Kurdish terrorist attacks against Turkish citizens. Some of the missiles that Ankara launched in this aerial campaign carried the names of Turkish victims.

The official Ankara spin is that the Turkish Armed Forces fully achieved their “air operation objectives” in the north of Syria and in Iraqi Kurdistan, and made those responsible for the terror attack against civilians in Istanbul’s Istiklal pedestrian street pay in “multitudes.”

And this is supposed to be just the first stage. For the third time in 2022, Sultan Erdogan is also promising a ground invasion of Kurdish-held territories in Syria.

Crypto bros are running on empty — and appear to be offloading their fancy cars amid the fallout from the FTX implosion, which has rippled through the cryptocurrency market and caused the value of digital coins to plummet

An uptick in like-new models of sought-after luxury cars have hit resale sites such as AutoTrader in recent weeks, but they’re not fetching the premium prices they once did. The Mercedes Benz G-Wagon — the unofficial “new money” badge of the crypto rich — was once valued around $300,000 in the resale market but is now closer to $200,000, car experts say. Other luxury vehicles such as Lamborghini Urus and McLaren Spiders have also taken a hit.

Some luxury car insiders believe the purge is linked to the FTX collapse, which caused as much as $2 billion in client money to evaporate.

“Exotic car market is getting decimated right now,” CarDealershipGuy, the anonymous CEO of a luxury car dealership who pens an eponymous newsletter, tweeted on Nov. 22, noting that a 2021 Mercedes G-Wagon with just 3,378 miles sold for $187,000 at auction. “That’s nearly an $80,000 (or 30%) drop in under 12 months,” he wrote.

Are we living in a real life episode of Black Mirror? As many may know, Vanderbilt University’s Medical Center commanded attention from many after it was revealed that the hospital has been performing genital mutilation surgeries on minors in order to supposedly change their sex.

Despite being openly supported by the Democrat Party and publicly promoted by White House occupant Joe Biden, the barbaric practice has been abhorred and called out by many decent Americans.

Now, an unearthed clip recorded in the university back in 2018 has been making its rounds on the internet. The video, which features a speaker saying that child mutilation surgeries rake in massive profits for the hospital, was played in an episode of Tucker Carlson Tonight.

A recent poll conducted by Harris Poll/HarrisX showed that a large majority of Americans support requiring a valid government-issued ID to vote in elections, a finding that goes against the Democrat’s narrative that such practices were racist and suppressed voters.

The survey asked whether respondents supported or opposed requiring voters to show an ID when they come to the polls. In response to the question, 80 percent of those polled said they supported voter ID with only 20 percent in opposition.

The poll also asked respondents whether or not they supported having “undocumented aliens” vote in elections or whether just U.S. citizens should be allowed to cast their ballot, per Breitbart.

Distressed crypto firm BlockFi has filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection in the United States Bankruptcy Court for the District of New Jersey following the implosion of putative acquirer FTX.

In the filing, the company indicated that it had more than 100,000 creditors, with liabilities and assets ranging from $1 billion to $10 billion.

In the filing, the company listed an outstanding $275 million loan to FTX US, the American arm of Sam Bankman-Fried’s now-bankrupt empire.

A BlockFi subsidiary also moved for bankruptcy in Bermuda concurrently with the American filing.

Bermuda, like the Bahamas, has embraced crypto as the future of finance. Both established frameworks to deal specifically with crypto assets and digital currencies. Both the Bahamas, with FTX’s bankruptcy, and now Bermuda, with BlockFi’s, face the first significant legal tests of their crypto regulations.

Out of the 13 new viruses that have been identified, the oldest is a 48,500-year-old amoeba virus, according to the findings posted by researchers in the pre-print server bioRxiv, who boasted that they broke a world record for oldest virus bought back to life.

Sam Brinton, who originally made headlines for being “gender fluid” and receiving a position in the Biden administration at the U.S. Department of Energy, made the news again for being charged with a felony after allegedly stealing luggage at the Minneapolis−Saint Paul International Airport.

Earlier in the year, Brinton became the Deputy Assistant Secretary of the Office of Spent Fuel and Waste Disposition at the Energy Department, as he announced on Twitter in June.

“It’s official. As of June 19th, I now serve my nation as the Deputy Assistant Secretary for Spent Fuel and Waste Disposition in the Office of Nuclear Energy in the Department of Energy,” Brinton tweeted.

A torrent of spam posts advertising escort services have flooded Twitter amid protests against China's Covid protocols, analysts have said, claiming the Chinese government is trying to cover up the scale of the demonstrations.

Searches performed on the social media network in Chinese for names of cities where anti-lockdown protests have erupted revealed untold numbers of erotic posts published by Chinese bot accounts.

Twitter was blocked in China by the ruling Communist Party (CCP) in 2009, but users in the country can still access the platform via a VPN or website proxy service and use it to find information not subject to Chinese censors.

Several major Chinese cities including Shanghai and the capital of Beijing have been rocked by protests in recent days, and researchers from Stanford University believe the porn-posting bot accounts are part of a government effort to scupper the spread of information on the social network.

Mengyu Dong, a Chinese-American researcher at Stanford University, posted numerous examples of the spam via his Twitter profile while other users called on the social network's CEO Elon Musk to tackle the problem.

A junior research fellow who said that Jesus Christ had a “trans body” in his work has been backed by a dean at the University of Cambridge in the United Kingdom. The Dean of Trinity College, Dr. Michael Banner, came out in support of junior research fellow Joshua Heath, who presented Renaissance and Medieval artworks of the crucifixion displaying a side wound that he equated to a vagina in front of the crowd.

The assembly was in a state of shock and crying following the sermon. The words clearly offended the worshippers, and some of them started crying as soon as they heard the ‘offensive’ statements.

During the talk, Joshua exhibited three works of art to support his points, including the well-known Pieta by Jean Malouel from the year 1400, in which he highlighted Jesus’s side wound and blood pouring into his groin. He also said that this side wound was isolated and takes on a decidedly vaginal appearance in Bonne of Luxembourg’s Prayer Book from the 14th century, which was read by worshipers.

In typical Groundhog Day fashion, the Pentagon has failed yet another audit. Yet, for the most part, nobody seems to care in the media or government. When you fail year after year, it becomes the rule versus the exception to fail basic standards.

This recent failure marks the fifth year that the Defense Department has failed to meet the audit requirements set by Congress. That’s right, dear reader, your former War Department can’t fully account for all of its assets.

So how bad was it? If you ask the lead money man of the five-sided building, it wasn’t that bad; I mean, it’s only a couple trillion dollars worth of stuff that we can’t find, that’s not that bad.

For the first time since the beginning of the pandemic, a majority of Americans dying from the coronavirus were at least partially vaccinated, according to a new analysis of federal and state data.

The waning efficacy of COVID-19 vaccines and increasingly contagious strains of the virus being spread to elderly and immunocompromised people have resulted in more deaths among those who have taken at least one vaccine dose, a Washington Post analysis published Wednesday finds.

"Fifty-eight percent of coronavirus deaths in August were people who were vaccinated or boosted," the Post reported.
