“One of the creeping hands of totalitarianism running through the democracy is the Federal Bureau of Investigation... Because why does the FBI do all this? To scare the hell out of people… They work for the establishment and the corporations and the politicos to keep things as they are. And they want to frighten and chill the people who are trying to change things.” -- Howard Zinn, historian

Following the United Nations vote recognizing the state of Palestine, Netanyahu's tantrum over the Iran P5+1 deal, followed by more pressure that Israel admit to their nuclear weapons, not to mention Netanyahu's attempt to blame the Palestinians for the Holocaust, I predict that Hollywood, ever eager to remind us all of how Israel and the Jews have suffered and deserve our unquestioning support as they shower white-hot flaming death onto the Palestinian children and steal more of their land, would immediately green-light a whole new batch of movies about Hitler, the Nazis, and so forth.
So I started to wonder, after decades of Hollywood obsession with events that happened before I was even born (and I am seventy), they gotta be scraping the bottom of the barrel for movies about Nazis.
So far they've had.....

On January 6, 2021, political extremists known to the FBI to be planning to cause chaos during the 2020 election challenges were allowed by America’s intelligence and security services to lay siege to the Congress during the Electoral College.
The political extremists, who did not carry firearms and had no realistic means of ‘overturning the election,’ and who subsequently killed no one, were allowed to enter the capitol building, in some cases with the aiding and abetting of Capitol Police officers who held doors open and even escorted some J6ers, and in the absence of National Guard troops that Donald Trump wanted to have protect the election challenges.

Venezuelans are voting in a referendum Sunday to supposedly decide the future of a large swath of neighboring Guyana that their government claims ownership of, arguing the territory was stolen when a north-south border was drawn more than a century ago.
Guyana considers the referendum a step toward annexation, and the vote has its residents on edge. It asks Venezuelans whether they support establishing a state in the disputed territory, known as Essequibo, granting citizenship to current and future area residents and rejecting the jurisdiction of the United Nations' top court in settling the disagreement between the two South American countries.
“We are solving through constitutional, peaceful and democratic means an imperial dispossession of 150 years,” President Nicolás Maduro said after voting in a military complex in Caracas, the capital.
The International Court of Justice on Friday ordered Venezuela not to take any action that would alter Guyana’s control over Essequibo, but the judges did not specifically ban officials from carrying out Sunday's five-question referendum. Guyana had asked the court to order Venezuela to halt parts of the vote.

Officials in the city of Los Angeles believe a serial killer is preying on members of the homeless population.
This is one of the reasons why it is not smart or compassionate to allow people to live in tents on the street. People are extremely vulnerable to predators.
For a person who is driven to kill, the homeless are like sitting ducks.
A boatful of illegal migrants invaded the elite playground of Malibu, California, where the average home sells for a jaw-dropping price of $3.4 million.
ABC7.com reported the landing, which delivered roughly 25 illegal migrants into California:
MALIBU, Calif. (KABC) — Homeland Security and U.S. Customs and Border Protection are investigating a panga boat that sunk off the Malibu coast on Wednesday.

On November 18, 2023, CNN aired a report by journalist Jake Tapper. The report claims to provide testimonies on “rape crimes” against Israeli women that allegedly took place on October 7, 2023. Within a few hours of the publication of the CNN report, an international media campaign by Israel and pro-Israeli groups was launched. Other media outlets, including The Washington Post, based their reporting on CNN’s report. Feminist activists and groups who have been calling for a ceasefire in Gaza were also targeted as part of this campaign. Samantha Pearson, the director of the Sexual Assault Centre at the University of Alberta in Canada, was fired from her job a few hours after the airing of the report. She had signed a letter on October 25 that stated that the accusation that Palestinians were guilty of sexual violence remains “unverified.” The letter did not say that sexual violence did not occur but that there was no sufficient evidence yet to support these accusations.

The two each sent $6,600 — the maximum individual amount allowed under the federal elections cap — to Biden’s re-election committee on June 30, according to the report, which cited filing records.
It was their first official donation to the 2024 Biden presidential re-election campaign.

Defaults by Chinese borrowers have surged to an unprecedented level since the Covid pandemic as the country faces huge economic challenges.
Official records now show a staggering 8.54 million people in China, primarily between the ages of 18 and 59, are officially blacklisted for missing payments on various financial obligations, ranging from home mortgages to business loans.
This figure has sharply risen from 5.7 million defaulters in early 2020, as lockdowns and economic restrictions stemming from the pandemic significantly impacted economic growth and household incomes.
