"'Congress shall make no law respecting an institution of religion.' -- The First Amendment to the Constitution
A Nativity scene (or a Menorah for that matter) is not a law, it is a decoration. And on that basis, even though I myself am an atheist, I do not have a problem with Nativity scenes on government property, other than they are a reminder that those are the people we are bombing to steal their oil.
I do draw the line at the Ten Commandments being on display on government buildings with its prohibitions against lying, theft, and killing, as that clearly is a case of false advertising!" -- Michael Rivero
The University of Pennsylvania has come under scrutiny after it was revealed that several Chinese donors who contributed funds to the institution between 2018 and 2022 had ties to the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) and companies linked to Hunter Biden.
While the donations were not made directly to the PennBiden Center for Diplomacy and Global Engagement, which is situated on the university's campus, the increase in donations from China during this period has raised questions.
According to Fox News, Chinese donations to UPenn totaled over $105 million between 2018 and 2022, with $75 million coming during Biden's presidential campaign. These figures are twice as high as previously reported. Records of the donations, obtained by Americans for Public Trust, showed that many of the donors had links to the CCP and the president's son.
It's definitely the time to bring out the clowns as MSM and much of the blogosfear are obsessed by the US debt ceiling smoke and mirrors circus that is being used as an excuse to explain potential market outcomes from a CRASH upwards, there is always a crash coming! And if the market soars then no problem it will soar because of debt ceiling positive developments, Whether UP or Down it will all be as a consequence of the DEBT CEILING! I have watched this circus take place every couple of years over the decades, it IS just a circus act for the Republicans and Democrats to prance around in front of the media, a smoke and mirrors TV show to remind the masses that they have all of the power and so if the chose to nuke the US economy.
On Tuesday, Florida Governor Ron DeSantis (R-Fla.) announced that he would be deploying state resources, including state law enforcement and the National Guard, to the southern border in Texas amid the ongoing mass illegal immigration crisis.
As reported by Fox News, DeSantis said that his state is “ready to help” Texas in dealing with the flood of illegal aliens, which comes after the Biden Administration officially ended the Trump-era policy of Title 42.
“At my direction, state agencies including law enforcement and the Florida National Guard are being deployed to Texas, with assets including personnel, boats and planes,” DeSantis announced. “While Biden ignores the crisis he created, Florida stands ready to help Texas respond to this crisis.”
The deployment will feature over 1,100 assets and resources overall, including 10 vessels, 17 unmanned drones, 101 Highway Patrol personnel, 200 officers from the Department of Law Enforcement, and 800 National Guard members. The effort will be authorized under the terms of the Emergency Management Assistance Compact, which says that states are allowed to provide assistance to others in times of emergency or crisis.
On Monday, an Asian man assaulted several members of a Democratic congressman’s staff with a baseball bat. It has since been revealed that prior assault charges against the man were dropped by a George Soros-funded prosecutor.
According to the Washington Free Beacon, 49-year-old Xuan Kha Tran Pham attacked two staffers for Congressman Gerry Connolly (D-Va.) with an aluminum bat. He had previously attacked two police officers in January of 2022, stealing one of the officer’s stun guns before being arrested. Despite facing charges including resisting arrest and assault on law enforcement, the charges against Pham were dropped by Fairfax County Commonwealth Attorney Steve Descano (D-Va.).
“The original incident stemmed from a mental health crisis and charges were [dropped] as part of an agreement that ensured the defendant was receiving mental health services and complying with treatment,” Descano said at the time, justifying his decision.
John Durham, the respected special counsel appointed to investigate potential wrongdoing during the 2016 election, has uncovered a web of corruption and partisan manipulation that has tainted the reputation of this once-revered institution. The findings of the Durham Report leave no room for doubt: the FBI has become a weaponized entity, serving the interests of a select few rather than upholding the principles of justice and integrity.
Through his meticulous investigation, Durham has exposed how top FBI officials abused their positions of power to target political opponents and undermine the democratic process. The report details instances of illegal surveillance, unauthorized wiretaps, and the weaponization of the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act (FISA) courts to spy on American citizens. These egregious violations of civil liberties demonstrate a flagrant disregard for the rights of the American people.
Moreover, the Durham Report uncovers a deeply troubling pattern of selective prosecution and cover-ups within the FBI. Key individuals who were involved in wrongdoing were shielded from accountability, while innocent individuals faced unjust persecution. This blatant double standard erodes the public’s trust in our justice system and proves once and for all that the FBI has become an unmanageable political animal.
House Committee on Oversight and Accountability Chairman James Comer (R-Ky.) issued the following statement on allegations that the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) is retaliating against the whistleblower who alleges the Department of Justice may be blocking efforts to charge Hunter Biden for federal violations:
“On the same day that the Durham Report exposed how the federal government weaponized its power to advance the Russia collusion hoax, we now have learned that the federal government once again may be abusing its power to retaliate against a whistleblower who alleges the Biden Administration is obstructing justice by blocking efforts to charge Hunter Biden for federal violations. Congress must thoroughly investigate this alleged retaliation and hold accountable those in the Biden Administration who are covering up any crimes committed by the President’s son.
“It’s clear from the House Oversight Committee’s investigation that Hunter and other members of the Biden family engaged in deceptive, shady business schemes to avoid scrutiny as they made millions from countries like China and Romania. The Oversight Committee will continue to pursue our investigation into the Biden family’s business schemes to determine if President Biden and our national security are compromised. Americans demand answers, transparency, and accountability.”
House Republicans will expose any cover-up by the Internal Revenue Service after a whistleblower’s lawyers announced that their client is being retaliated against because of the investigation into presidential son Hunter Biden’s finances, House Speaker Kevin McCarthy said.
“The repeated weaponization of the federal government to attack one political party and protect the other is un-American,” McCarthy, R-Calif., wrote Tuesday on Twitter.
The House speaker added: “@WaysAndMeansGOP will expose any possible cover-up at the IRS, and Republicans will protect the whistleblowers who shine a light on government misconduct.”
The repeated weaponization of the federal government to attack one political party and protect the other is un-American.
Speaker McCarthy, Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries, McConnell and Schumer met with Joe Biden in the Oval Office to discuss the debt ceiling.
White House Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre on Tuesday walked away when a reporter pressed her on Biden’s reaction to the Durham report.
On Tuesday, Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA) introduced Articles of Impeachment against “corrupt” FBI Director Christopher Wray.
Jenna Barbee, a 5th grade teacher at Winding Waters K-8 school in Spring Hill, Florida who showed her students an LGBT-themed Disney movie said parents are “ignorant” and have no rights.
A Confidential Human Source (CHS) for the FBI reported to the FBI alleged foreign election influence efforts targeting the Clinton Campaign back in November 2015.
Democrat Senator John Fetterman (PA) on Tuesday participated in the Senate Banking Committee hearing examining the failures of Silicon Valley Bank and Signature Bank.
The USDA is weighing a ban on chocolate and strawberry milk for elementary and middle school cafeterias because of the added sugar, the Wall Street Journal reported.
On Tuesday, the Biden regime announced another spending of $11 billion investment to combat climate change, with funding coming from the $430 billion Inflation Reduction Act that Biden signed into law in August.
In an age where too much of the dominant political and cultural orthodoxy is telling Americans to hate their own country, it is natural to be pessimistic about the future of the nation.
Cities across the nation are being forced to deal with the disaster placed directly on their doorsteps because of Biden’s broken immigration policy.
The chief executive officer of the State Financial Officers Foundation says “we never really saw the [environmental, social, and governance] movement weaponized in a way that this White House and administration [have] weaponized it.”
“Certainly, fund managers like BlackRock, State Street, Vanguard have weaponized it, and so it’s really just been in the last two years that we’ve seen them use funds, like pension retirement funds, in a way that leverages those dollars to push these social agendas,” Derek Kreifels says of the so-called ESG movement.
“And so, our simple premise and argument has been, if most Americans knew how their pension fund dollars were being invested, they would probably be appalled and shocked,” Kreifels says. “And so, we launched a campaign called ‘Our Money, Our Values.’”
Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-Ga.) plans on bringing articles of impeachment against FBI Director Christopher Way for allegedly creating a Federal police force to target President Joe Biden's political enemies.
The impeachment resolution, published Tuesday by The Daily Caller, states that Wray, who was appointed as FBI Director by then-President Trump, has been "facilitating the development of a Federal police force to intimidate, harass, and entrap American citizens that are deemed enemies of the Biden regime."
Examples of Wray's alleged politicization of the justice system include how the FBI raided former President Donald Trump's Florida home in August and how FBI whistleblowers said the agency was targeting pro-life individuals and Traditional Latin Mass Catholics.
The Biden administration has given its clearest indication yet that the years-long pause of student loan repayments will come to an end in the coming months.
Optimism that the White House would keep offering borrowers relief from making their payments was crushed last week, when Education Secretary Miguel Cardona told a Senate panel that the payments would officially resume due to the pandemic emergency being over.
That means borrowers, who have been jolted around since March 2020 with last-minute extensions and uncertainty over exactly when they should expect payments to start up again, will finally have to make payments — many for the first time.
Jeffrey Epstein paid $150,000 to Leon Botstein and transferred $270,000 between accounts for Noam Chomsky, the two academics have confirmed, giving another glimpse into how the late disgraced financier provided favors for those who associated with him.
Botstein and Chomsky met multiple times with Epstein after he was a registered sex offender, The Wall Street Journal recently reported. Chomsky, a political activist and professor, told the Journal that they met occasionally to discuss political and academic topics. Botstein, the longtime leader of Bard College in New York, said he met with Epstein in an attempt to raise funds for the school.
They were among the many academics, politicians and businesspeople who met with Epstein in the years after he pleaded guilty in 2008 to soliciting and procuring a minor for prostitution. He was charged in 2019 with sex trafficking and died in jail while awaiting trial later that year.
