"Racism is not dead, but it is on life support -- kept alive by politicians, race hustlers and people who get a sense of superiority by denouncing others as racists." -- Thomas Sowell

Some Republicans in Congress are celebrating the death of Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi, who was killed in a helicopter crash along with Foreign Minister Hossein Amirabdollahian and seven others in Iran’s mountainous East Azerbaijan province.

When the news first broke that Raisi was missing, Sen. Rick Scott (R-FL) wrote on X: “If Raisi is dead, the world is now a safer & better place. That evil man was a tyrant & terrorist. He was not loved or respected & he will be missed by no one. If he’s gone, I truly hope the Iranian people have the chance to take their country back from murderous dictators.”

After Raisi’s death was confirmed, the State Department offered condolences to Iran, which outraged Scott. “What a disgrace. Since when does the United States issue a statement of condolence for a terrorist?! It should read: The world is a better place with Raisi dead,” he said.

The world's first winged commercial spaceplane has arrived at NASA’s Kennedy Space Center in Florida, its final destination before its first mission to the International Space Station (ISS) later this year.

Following rigorous testing at Ohio's Neil Armstrong Test Facility, the Dream Chaser DC-100 spaceplane named Tenacity got the green light to commence final pre-launch preparations, such as finishing its thermal protection system and payload integration, before it hitches a ride on a United Launch Alliance (ULA) Vulcan rocket to deliver 7,800 pounds (3,540 kg) of food, water and science experiments to the ISS.

According to FBI records from the National Instant Background Check System (NICS), April 2024 was the fifth highest on record for gun sales and background checks for that month. The month follows a pattern which has developed over the last five years. A gradual drop in sales and background checks from the record-level highs of 2020 and 2021 has become consistent.

Michael Cohen, who has been involved in legal proceedings against former President Donald Trump, has admitted to having a financial interest in the trial’s outcome. He has mentioned that he talks about the trial on his podcasts and on TikTok, which generates revenue for him.

Furthermore, he said that the result of the trial—whether Trump is found guilty or not—would not influence his conversations about it, even though he thinks that if Trump is found not guilty, it will improve his material because it will provide him with more material to discuss.

Cohen also testified that he helped pitch a TV show about his life called “The Fixer,” is considering a run for Congress, and may write a third book.

“Whether Mr. Trump is ultimately determined innocent or guilty is not going to affect whether I speak about it or not,” Cohen said. “It’s better if he’s not (found guilty), for me, because it gives me more to talk about in the future.”

Michael Cohen’s testimony during the trial of former President Donald Trump has come under scrutiny following contradictions raised by Trump’s 2016 campaign staff.

Cohen was a former Trump lawyer and has now turned into a witness for the prosecution who has claimed to have served as a “surrogate” for the campaign. But details obtained by The National Pulse challenge this claim, which could mean that the former Trump lawyer could end up in prison for perjury.

Cohen’s claim of being a surrogate for the Trump campaign during the 2016 election, representing the candidate in media appearances and defending him to the press, if shown to be untrue, would be a clear case of perjury.

Newly unsealed court documents reveal the Department of Justice authorized the use of deadly force for the FBI’s raid on former President Donald Trump’s Mar-a-Lago resort in Aug. 2022.

“According to ‘Operations Order’ produced in discovery, the FBI believed its objective for the Mar-a-Lago raid was to seize ‘classified information, NDI [national defense information], and US government records described in [the] search warrant,” the document released by Judge Aileen Cannon states.

“The order contained a ‘Policy Statement’ regarding ‘Use of Deadly Force,’ which stated, for example, ‘Law enforcement officers of the Department of Justice may use deadly force when necessary…”

At a Build conference event on Monday, Microsoft revealed a new AI-powered feature called "Recall" for Copilot+ PCs that will allow Windows 11 users to search and retrieve their past activities on their PC. To make it work, Recall records everything users do on their PC, including activities in apps, communications in live meetings, and websites visited for research. Despite encryption and local storage, the new feature raises privacy concerns for certain Windows users.

"Recall uses Copilot+ PC advanced processing capabilities to take images of your active screen every few seconds," Microsoft says on its website.

Michael Cohen, once a lawyer for Donald Trump, testified on Monday, admitting he made approximately $4.4 million from his books and podcast, which heavily criticize the former president. These revelations came under the rigorous scrutiny of Trump’s attorney, Todd Blanche, during Trump's ongoing hush money trial.

Blanche's cross-examination aimed to paint Cohen as someone who has consistently profited from denigrating Trump. He probed Cohen about various income sources, including a potential television show and a forthcoming book. Responding to questions about the TV show The Fixer, Cohen clarified it was being shopped around by a friend with his approval, although it has yet to be picked up.

Further, Blanche highlighted Cohen's financial motives, suggesting they could be influencing his testimony against Trump. Cohen, facing Blanche's pointed inquiries, acknowledged that a non-conviction for Trump could paradoxically benefit him, providing more material for future criticisms and projects.
