Former Republican Rep. Liz Cheney said Monday if the Supreme Court does not resolve the issue of presidential immunity “quickly and decisively,” it will have a “profoundly negative impact” on the country.

In a New York Times Op-Ed, Cheney argues that, “If delay prevents this Trump case from being tried this year, the public may never hear critical and historic evidence developed before the grand jury, and our system may never hold the man most responsible for Jan. 6 to account.”

Her message comes before the high court is set to hear arguments later this month in the blockbuster case over whether Trump may claim immunity from prosecution in the federal election subversion case.

Special counsel Jack Smith, who brought the criminal charges, has sought to speed up the proceedings over Trump’s immunity claim so that he can bring the matter to trial as quickly as possible.

Ever since the horrific October 7th attack in Israel, the nation has faced attacks from all sides. Not only have they fended off assaults from terrorists, but people around the world have slandered the country, accusing Israel of “genocide.”

Even President Biden, seemingly fearing progressives, has criticized Israel and threatened to withhold aid. It seems Biden’s cowardice and weakness have motivated Iran to launch an unprecedented attack on the Jewish state.

Biden quickly ordered Israel to do nothing in return. Anyone with half a brain knows that if Israel does nothing, Iran will attack again. And it doesn’t seem like Israel has much support from its allies. So, the nation defied Biden’s warnings and hit back.

The military could seek to formally punish service members for refusing to use another service member’s preferred pronouns under existing policy, according to military experts.

A 2020 Equal Opportunity law opened the door for commanders to subject someone who refuses to affirm a transgender servicemember’s so-called gender identity to the Uniform Code of Military Justice (UCMJ) for charges related to harassment, Capt. Thomas Wheatley, an assistant professor at the U.S. Military Academy at West Point, told the Daily Caller News Foundation. Such a move would likely infringe on a servicemember’s constitutional rights to uphold their conscience, but it might not prevent leaders from employing more subtle ways of disciplining service members.

Military experts told the DCNF Congress should step in before it’s too late.

US President Joe Biden wants to provide some £50 billion in military aid to Ukraine as soon as possible amid concerns Kyiv's fighters are beginning to wilt under the onslaught of Vladimir Putin's army.

The Biden administration has said it is prepared to start moving weapons and equipment into Ukraine within days, provided that the Senate green-lights the aid package this week.

That is because it has a network of storage sites in the US and Europe that already hold the ammunition and air defence components that Kyiv desperately needs.

Lawmakers and experts agree that the artillery rounds, long-range precision-guided missiles and air defences included in the package will change the military outlook for Ukraine, with one US official insisting 'there won't be any delays or bottlenecks on our side' for their delivery in comments to Reuters.

Russia dramatically ramped up its air and missile strikes inside Ukraine in March in the wake of a coordinated campaign by the Ukrainian military targeting Russian infrastructure using drone warfare. The strikes created large holes in Ukraine’s air defenses, which Kiev’s NATO patrons are now hoping to patch up.

Officials in the European Union and NATO have launched a pressure campaign targeting Greek Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis and Spanish Prime Minister Pedro Sanchez to give their advanced air defense systems away to Ukraine.

“We all know who has them, we all know where they are, and we all know who really needs them,” a person briefed on the campaign told London-based business media in an article published Monday.

Moscow on Saturday slammed the approval by the U.S. House of Representatives for an aid package to Ukraine, Israel and Taiwan.

“The allocation of U.S. military aid to Ukraine, Israel, and Taiwan will exacerbate global crises,” Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova said on Telegram.

She called aid for Kyiv “direct support for terrorist activities” and said aid to Taiwan represented “interference in China’s internal affairs.”

A mass grave created by the IDF has been uncovered at a Gaza hospital, where Palestinian civilians appear to have been the victims of a gruesome massacre.

“Bah, that’s old news Caitlin,” you may be saying. “We already know about the massacre and mass graves which were discovered a few weeks ago at the al-Shifa Hospital in Gaza.”

No no, that’s a different mass grave from a different IDF massacre at a completely different Gaza hospital. The now completely destroyed al-Shifa Hospital was in Gaza City; I’m talking about the Nasser Medical Complex in Khan Younis, where some 210 bodies have reportedly been discovered in a mass grave after Israeli forces withdrew from the city earlier this month. Two different massacres, two different hospitals, two different mass graves full of Palestinian civilians.

” For the next 5 centuries, business schools around the World and business policy universities around the World are going to be studying our semiconductor sanctions against China and how they played out because these sanctions have been THE BIGGEST UNFORCED ERROR maybe in the history of global business. It’s a great case study too in THE LAW OF UNINTENDED CONSEQUENCES. Our intention was to cripple the Chinese semiconductor industry BUT we killed our own semiconductor industries instead AND it’s hard to see, honestly it’s hard to see how things could have gone worse than they have if our idea was to decouple from China or to prevent China from building semiconductor chips or to deny Chinese semiconductor companies a future market to the rest of the World, that we want to keep all these markets for ourselves. I’ll say again, it’s impossible to see how things could have turned out worse than they have. “

A cellphone video began circulating last week showing a North Carolina high school student slapping a teacher in the face at least twice — and the teacher in the clip stayed seated during the physical attack, just taking it in front of shocked students.

“The f***’s wrong with you?" the student asked the Parkland High School teacher after the physical attack. "What you gonna do, still sit in that chair 'cause you a bitch ... ain’t nobody even coming, you got slapped, bitch, go back to teaching ...”

Webmaster addition: When I was in school, back during the last ice age, nobody attacked the teachers, mostly because you would get a trip to the woodshed that would have you eating dinner standing up for a week!

The Supreme Court on Monday agreed to review a lower court decision that invalidated a rule from the Biden administration that aimed to address the proliferation of crimes involving "ghost guns."

The regulation at issue was implemented by the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives in April 2022 and imposed a series of requirements on manufacturers and sellers of so-called ghost guns, which are unserialized firearms that can be assembled from kits sold online.

ATF's rule changed the definition of "firearm" under the Gun Control Act to include certain weapon parts kits, and clarified that it includes partially completed parts such as the frame or receiver. As a result of the regulation, covered manufacturers and sellers have to obtain licenses, mark their products with serial numbers, run background checks and keep purchase records, which are all required for firearms made and sold in the U.S.

The Supreme Court will consider Monday whether banning homeless people from sleeping outside when shelter space is lacking amounts to cruel and unusual punishment.

The case is considered the most significant to come before the high court in decades on homelessness, which is reaching record levels in the United States.

In California and other Western states, courts have ruled that it’s unconstitutional to fine and arrest people sleeping in homeless encampments if shelter space is lacking.

A cross-section of Democratic and Republican officials contend that makes it difficult for them to manage encampments, which can have dangerous and unsanitary living conditions.

But hundreds of advocacy groups argue that allowing cities to punish people who need a place to sleep will criminalize homelessness and ultimately make the crisis worse.

Not everything was sunny. We had problems that needed attention. That is the nature of human existence after all. But when Ronald Reagan said, “Government is not the solution to our problem, government is the problem,” we just thought he was promoting self-reliance and highlighting government inefficiency. As I said, we were naïve.

Along with that naivete, was a belief that our government would never intentionally harm us. It might be incompetent, but we didn’t think it was malicious. Theories of vast government criminal conspiracies were considered delusional. Going to the police and claiming that President John F. Kennedy was assassinated by the CIA (as Robert Kennedy Jr. is suggesting), would have gotten one labeled a “conspiracy theory” nut; and more likely would trigger a psych evaluation than a criminal investigation. That was the American worldview before Barack Obama.

Things changed in 2016 when the conspiracies stopped being secret. Government operatives decided they could work with a political party to stop an outsider from playing in their sandbox -- by any means necessary. The FBI, CIA, DNC, and MSM created the Russian collusion hoax to undermine Donald Trump’s campaign -- but he won anyway.
