A new poll by the Pew Research Center has found that half of Americans have no idea whether more Israelis or Palestinians have died in the so-called “Israel-Hamas war”.

“Most Americans report having strong emotional reactions to the Israel-Hamas war,” the Pew Research Center writes. “Yet, for the most part, Americans are not paying very close attention to news about the conflict. One sign of this limited attention is that only about half of U.S. adults can correctly answer a question that tests their factual knowledge by asking whether the number of deaths in the war, so far, is higher among Palestinians or among Israelis.”

The answer of course is that many, many times more Palestinians have died since October 7 than Israelis. There were reportedly 1,163 Israeli deaths on October 7 with the IDF claiming to have lost 246 troops in the ground offensive thereafter, while the Gaza Health Ministry says Palestinian deaths in Gaza are nearing 32,000 (arguably a massive underestimate).

The Israeli hostages deserve far, far less interest and attention than the hundreds of thousands of Gazans who are being starved and murdered as we speak. The only way to believe otherwise is to believe Israeli lives are worth thousands of times more than Palestinian lives.

The PR campaign for Israel’s destruction of Gaza revolves around encouraging everyone to focus on the feelings of people on the pro-Israel side instead of focusing on facts and evidence. The way Israelis are feeling about October 7. The way Israelis are feeling about the hostages. The way pro-Palestine demonstrations make western Jews feel inside. What feelings Biden is privately feeling toward Netanyahu. The whole thing’s one big fat appeal to emotion fallacy.

Meanwhile the feelings of the two million Palestinians being starved, displaced, dismembered, traumatized, terrorized and having to watch their loved ones die horrific deaths right in front of them never features. We’re discouraged from thinking about their emotions at all. Only the feelings of people who support these atrocities shall draw our attention and sympathy, thereby generating support for the continuation of those atrocities.

The world is sitting on the edge of a precipice. It is a world which is highly leveraged. Global debt, for every $1 growth in GDP last year, required $3 of debt, and that doesn't exclude America. In the fourth quarter, for every $1 of GDP growth, it needed $25 of debt. And when you look at the way that the government in America just wants to continually print money, you know that something is going to break in the system. You can't go on having debt increasing at a faster pace than physical activity.

To avoid the risk of denial of service via Loop DoS, CERT/CC recommends installing the latest patches from vendors that address the vulnerability and replace products that no longer receive security updates. Using firewall rules and access-control lists for UDP applications, turning off unnecessary UDP services, and implementing TCP or request validation are also measures that can mitigate the risk of an attack. Furthermore, the organization recommends deploying anti-spoofing solutions like BCP38 and Unicast Reverse Path Forwarding (uRPF), and using Quality-of-Service (QoS) measures to limit network traffic and protect against abuse from network loops and DoS amplifications.

Security researchers have released a proof-of-concept (PoC) exploit for a critical vulnerability in Fortinet's FortiClient Enterprise Management Server (EMS) software, which is now actively exploited in attacks. Tracked as CVE-2023-48788, this security flaw is an SQL injection in the DB2 Administration Server (DAS) component discovered and reported by the UK's National Cyber Security Centre (NCSC). It impacts FortiClient EMS versions 7.0 (7.0.1 through 7.0.10) and 7.2 (7.2.0 through 7.2.2), and it enables unauthenticated threat actors to gain remote code execution (RCE) with SYSTEM privileges on unpatched servers in low-complexity attacks that don't require user interaction.

On Wednesday, the KDE team warned Linux users to exercise "extreme caution" when installing global themes, even from the official KDE Store, because these themes run arbitrary code on devices to customize the desktop's appearance.

The KDE Store currently allows anyone to upload new themes and various other plugins or add-ons without any checks for malicious behavior.

However, as KDE said, it currently lacks the resources to review the code used by each global theme submitted for inclusion in its official store. If the themes are faulty or malicious, this can result in unexpected consequences.

Although the Wyoming Legislature stripped $1.7 million in state money for the University of Wyoming’s Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DEI) office and related programming during the recently completed legislative session, the university is standing behind its program.

After the UW Board of Trustees held a Thursday meeting, filled with impassioned pleas from teachers and students to keep the school’s DEI office and programming, University of Wyoming President Ed Seidel told Cowboy State Daily that the school has no plans to entirely cut DEI programming moving forward under any scenario.

The DEI money was slashed from the $11.1 billion biennial budget that’s now sitting on Gov. Mark Gordon’s desk for consideration. Gordon has until Saturday to act on it.

David Gelman, a criminal defense attorney and former prosecutor, said it was concerning that the ATF hasn’t released information about why agents were at the home.

“I think the more concerning thing is that they still haven’t released any info about what they were even doing out there for a 6 a.m. raid,” he told Fox News Digital in a statement. “You know how fast the U.S. Attorney’s (Office) love a press conference. Normally, they would have already justified it with a copy of the warrant. Still nothing.”

“There must have been probable cause to believe there was evidence of some crime inside the residence,” he added. “Thus, the need to execute a search warrant at that location.”

Israeli Strategic Affairs Minister Ron Dermer has vowed that Israel will invade the southern Gaza city of Rafah even if it causes a rift with the US, The Times of Israel reported Thursday.

Any Israeli attack on Rafah would incur huge civilian casualties since 1.5 million Palestinians are packed into the city, which has a pre-war population of 275,000. Israeli officials claim they have a way to protect civilians, but the US has said Israel has not presented any plan.

“We’re quite confident that we can do this in a way that would be effective — not only militarily, but also on the humanitarian side. And they have less confidence that we can do it,” Dermer, an American-born former Israeli ambassador to the US, said on the podcast Call Me Back With Dan Senor.

“It will happen even if Israel is forced to fight alone. Even if the entire world turns on Israel, including the United States, we’re going to fight until the battle’s won,” Dermer added.

Israeli strikes have hit over 400 healthcare facilities in Gaza, killing nearly 700 people. Most of the medical infrastructure in the Strip is damaged and inoperable.

The World Health Organization released statistics on the impact on medical facilities in Gaza during the first five months of the Israeli onslaught. The WHO recorded 410 attacks, resulting in 685 deaths and 900 injuries.

Nearly every hospital in Gaza has taken some damage. Twenty-four of the Strip’s 36 hospitals are not functioning. A panel of doctors speaking to the UN on Tuesday explained the Palestinian medical staff have had to reestablish several hospitals following Israeli raids or strikes.

Additionally, 60 out of 74 primary healthcare centers are nonfunctional. Israel has also targeted ambulances, with 50 vehicles damaged. Paramedics are not the only first responders targeted by Israeli forces. Several members of Gaza’s police force have been killed. Prior to the attacks on officers, the police force escorted aid throughout the Strip.

Under the administration of President Joseph R. Biden, the U.S. government has been portraying itself as being seriously concerned about the humanitarian situation in the Gaza Strip, where Israel has been waging a devastating military assault that the International Court of Justice (ICJ) on January 26 judged to be a plausible genocide.

On March 3, Vice President Kamala Harris acknowledged the “devastating” situation in Gaza, where “starving” people are resorting to eating leaves and animal feed, women are giving birth to malnourished babies, and children are “dying from malnutrition and dehydration.” She drew loud applause for saying, “Given the immense scale of suffering in Gaza, there must be an immediate ceasefire.”

In his State of the Union Address on March 7, Biden proclaimed, “The United States has been leading international efforts to get more humanitarian assistance into Gaza.” He announced that the U.S. military would “lead an emergency mission to establish a temporary pier in the Mediterranean on the Gaza coast” so that humanitarian aid could be delivered by ship.

On 18 January, Israeli forces bombed a residential compound in Gaza housing the emergency medical team of Medical Aid for Palestinians (MAP), a British charity, as well as the US-based International Rescue Committee, which is run by former UK foreign secretary David Miliband.

Four British doctors were injured in the airstrike, alongside MAP staff members and a bodyguard. MAP described the attack as “near-fatal”, causing “significant damage to the building”, and requiring the “withdrawal of the six international members”.

The attack was carried out with an F-16 jet, components for which have been supplied by UK companies. As Declassified reported last month, there is therefore a distinct possibility that Israel bombed a British medical facility with UK-supplied weaponry.

Russian Defense Minister Sergey Shoigu said Thursday that Russia’s production of artillery shells has increased by nearly 2.5 times over the past year as Moscow is significantly out-producing the West.

Shoigu also said that Russia was producing components for artillery at a rate of 22 times what it could make last year. “Speaking about manufacturing of artillery munitions, the volume of production of components to such ammunition was increased by almost 22 times,” he said.

Shoigu’s comments came after CNN reported that Russia was producing nearly three times as many artillery shells than the US and Europe combined. The report, based on a NATO assessment, said Russia has the capacity to produce 3 million shells per year while the US and Europe can make 1.2 million.

Delivery disruptions for the F-35 Joint Strike Fighter are creating a headache for European buyers, as some countries face a potential capacity gap and delays in training pilots and maintenance engineers.

Denmark is exploring how to deal with a slipping delivery schedule, including possibly borrowing or buying aircraft from other F-35 users. Norway said there’s a risk full operational capacity of its F-35 fleet will be pushed back.

F-35 deliveries are on hold as Lockheed Martin wrestles to complete an upgrade known as Technology Refresh 3, initially planned for summer 2023. While the company still aims for the second quarter for TR-3 software acceptance, the third quarter is a more likely scenario, Lockheed Martin CEO Jim Taiclet said in January.

The World Economic Forum warned us several years ago that its ultimate goal was to destroy the middle class. How else would you explain their slogan: “You will own nothing and learn to like it“?

This mantra is playing out in real time in the state of Oregon, and other states, in various forms which we will get into in this article.

Small farmers are under attack in the Beaver State, which has begun shutting down family farms throughout the state under the guise of water conservation and groundwater protection.

The owner of Yanasa Ama Ranch shared a 20-minute video explaining what is going on in Oregon as bureaucrats erroneously classify small family farms and homesteads as “concentrated animal feeding operations,” or CAFOs, in order to shut them down. Any feeding area that has a concrete, rock or gravel floor falls into this category, which would include most small dairy or egg farms.

If you have two or three milking cows, the rancher explains, you are now targeted by the state for closure.

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has repeatedly vowed that he will go ahead with an invasion of the city despite concerns from President Biden, but he has agreed to send an Israeli delegation to Washington to discuss the attack. The US is expected to suggest a more limited, targeted operation against Hamas

Claire's Observations:  Israeli Strategic Affairs Minister Ron Dermer, a word, please;  it is an Israeli national tragedy, that two groups of people are arguing over the same small sliver of land, which each calls their "homeland".

With the establishment of a Jewish "homeland", courtesy of the Balfour Declaration, Muslim Arabs got displaced by the thousands, and were not allowed to establish any kind of homeland of their own.  I believe in the Arabic language,  this is called "The Nabka"

And now, through Israeli starvation; the destruction of sewage systems, leading to illness, and then outright assassination of Palestinians (primarily  women and children), Israel has decided the embark on genocide so savage, that it is now being considered a "pariah/rogue state" by much of the rest of the world.

How much longer will these summary executions persist, sir?!? No trials; no presentation of evidence against them; no convictions or exonerations by a jury of their peers?!?  Their only crime?!?  Being Palestinians who are still breathing, sir.

Any thoughtful Jewish person alive, will tell you of the pogroms against them, throughout history, and how utterly horrific they were.

But here, sir, is the bottom line: Yes, you can murder people; but your can't kill an idea whose time has come.

Just ask the citizens of South Africa., even though they are struggling with massive political corruption right now.

And perhaps, ironically, the establishment of a legitimate Palestinian state may ultimately be the idea which can, and will, save Israel from further aggression from its neighbors, against which Israel has gone to great lengths to tick off.
