A Russian ambassador had harsh words for Finland on Saturday, warning that the country would retaliate against the new member of the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) if nuclear weapons were placed on Finnish soil.

Finland is one of the newest European countries to join the military alliance, being officially welcomed into the fold in April 2023. The Nordic nation was spurred to seek membership by Russia's invasion of Ukraine in February 2022 and its increased threats of aggression against other nations. Sweden is the latest country admitted to NATO for this reason, joining on March 7.

Both nations announced that they were considering applying for membership in May of 2022, only a few months after the start of the Russia-Ukraine war.

New York Attorney General Letitia James is building doubts around former President Donald Trump’s $175 million bond deal in his civil fraud case, as she questions whether the company covering the bond is capable of fulfilling its obligation.

Trump posted a $175 million bond on April 1, averting a situation where James can seize his asset while his appeals on Judge Arthur Engoron’s ruling plays out.

Knight Specialty Insurance Company underwrote the former president’s bond, pledging to cover the full bond amount should Trump lose his appeal and fail to make payment. In order to obtain Knight Specialty Insurance Company’s coverage, Trump paid the company a fee and pledged collateral.

However, in a Thursday court filing, James questions whether the company can cover the full amount of the bond.

Turkey has followed suit with its NATO allies and Russia in suspending an arms treaty that imposed limitations on conventional military equipment in Europe. Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan signed a decree on April 4 to suspend Ankara's duties under the Treaty on Conventional Armed Forces in Europe. In November last year, Washington and NATO members withdrew from the European arms-limiting pact after Russia made the same move.

Independent presidential candidate Robert F. Kennedy Jr. busts Democrats claims on the events of Jan. 6, 2021. According to Kennedy, many prosecutions of the non-violent protesters at the U.S. Capitol were excessive and there is “little evidence” of an actual insurrection, like Democrats have claimed.

“January 6 is one of the most polarizing topics on the political landscape. I am listening to people of diverse viewpoints on it in order to make sense of the event and what followed. I want to hear every side,” the Independent candidate began in a statement on Friday.

“It is quite clear that many of the January 6 protestors broke the law in what may have started as a protest but turned into a riot,” he continued. “Because it happened with the encouragement of President Trump, and in the context of his delusion that the election was stolen from him, many people see it not as a riot but as an insurrection. I have not examined the evidence in detail, but reasonable people, including Trump opponents, tell me there is little evidence of a true insurrection. They observe that the protestors carried no weapons, had no plans or ability to seize the reins of government, and that Trump himself had urged them to protest ‘peacefully.’”

Free speech is under attack all across the world. High-profile conservatives are being dragged into situations where governments want to jail them for exercising their God-given rights.

Scotland, once a bastion of independence, free thinking, and defiance of government oppression, has devolved into a ruling class of elitists. They believe their woke ideology should be forced on anyone who dares to disagree with them.

One of the most successful authors in history, J.K. Rowling, was targeted under Scotland’s new Hate Crime and Public Order Act that was activated on April 1. The law is anything but foolish as Rowling, author of the “Harry Potter” book series, dared authorities to arrest her for free speech.

For decades Democrats took for granted key voting blocks during national elections. They have depended on minority voters casting ballots their way without question.

What has changed this presidential election cycle is that these key demographics that once easily propelled Democrats toward victory have been crushed under Joe Biden’s economy. People are suffering financially despite what the Biden administration says, and they plan on voting accordingly.

One of the most faithful voting demographics for Democrats in the past has been Hispanic voters. But that has changed, and a Hispanic Republican warned that Democrats are in trouble especially after the International Transgender Day of Visibility debacle.

From the Daily Caller:
“This whole issue of Trans Awareness Day over Easter would not bode well, especially in the community, of which I so proudly represent – which is largely Catholic and Christian,” Rep. Anna Paulina Luna (R-FL) said. “So when they do this, it’s intentional. They are losing the Hispanic American vote in droves. I’m happy to say, because of that I do believe Trump will be winning in November.”

According to European Pravda, German Chancellor Olaf Scholz reacted with anger to French President Emmanuel Macron’s idea of potentially having allied troops stationed in Ukraine voiced at a summit of European leaders.

Macron first expressed his idea on the possibility of Western partners stationing their military in Ukraine at a closed meeting in Paris at the end of February, where he gathered approximately 20 allies to discuss support for Ukraine.

According to sources familiar with the discussion at the meeting, the leaders spoke in raised tones. Reportedly, the most emotional reaction came from Olaf Scholz, who, like the majority of participants, was taken aback by the proposal. Scholz was allegedly enraged.

He accused Macron of “trying to drag everyone into World War III,” the sources noted.

The US has picked up intelligence on what an Iranian retaliatory strike for the alleged Israeli strike on the Iranian consulate in Damascus in which a senior member of the Iranian Revolutionary Guards was eliminated, will look like, CBS News reported on Friday.

According to the report, the American intelligence indicates that Iran is planning a retaliatory attack that would include a swarm of Shaheed loitering drones and cruise missiles.

Officials quoted in the report say the timing and target are unknown, but a proportional response to the Damascus attack would be to hit an Israeli diplomatic facility.

The attack is likely to come between now and the end of Ramadan next week, according to CBS News.

Another important unknown is where the drones and missiles would be launched — from Iraq or Syria, which could prompt a thin claim of deniability by Tehran — or from Iranian territory.

Opposition to the slaughter in Gaza appears to be getting more mainstream, which is obviously great, but when political impulses go mainstream it means there’s going to be a massive and concerted effort to funnel public sentiment in a direction that doesn’t damage the interests of the empire.

They’re going to try to blame this all on Netanyahu.

They’re going to insist that Israel itself is fine and the only thing that went wrong was a fluke incident in which an aberrational right wing faction briefly got into power.

China has been put on notice as the United States will hold joint naval exercises with three of its top allies in the South China Sea.

The U.S. Navy will partner up with Japan, the Philippines and Australia over the weekend for a series of exercises, including anti-submarine warfare training.

The drills come at a time of heightened tensions between China and other regional actors – especially the Philippines – amid a heated sovereignty dispute over the South China Sea.

In a joint statement announcing the drills, the four countries's defense chiefs said the exercises will show their commitment to safeguard "the rule of law that is the foundation for a peaceful and stable Indo-Pacific region."

While China was not mentioned in the statement, the four partners reiterated a 2016 international arbitration ruling had found Beijing's claims over the South China Sea on historic grounds were invalid.

Friends,

I’m deeply troubled that the Biden administration continues to approve the transfer of thousands more bombs to Israel.

Not only does this further our moral complicity in the bloodbath in Gaza, but it gives away whatever bargaining leverage the Biden administration might have to stop Benjamin Netanyahu from further death and destruction in Gaza.

One need not take sides in this war to be horrified by the killing of tens of thousands of innocent civilians.

Of course Hamas deserves condemnation for seeking the obliteration of Israel and for the inhumanity it wrought on October 7. The Israeli government of Benjamin Netanyahu deserves condemnation for killing over 30,000 Palestinians living in Gaza, a large percentage of them children. By May, the World Food Program and others suggest that half the population of Gaza may be on the verge of catastrophic starvation.

Newly-elected MP George Galloway has sparked fury after inviting an Islamic extremist on to his TV talk show who urged Britons to join up with terrorists fighting Israel.

The Left-wing firebrand, who won the Rochdale by-election in February, is hosting a new programme called Have It Out With Galloway on the Iranian regime's propaganda channel Press TV.

One of his first guests last week was Lebanese activist and commentator Dr Marwa Osman, who called on UK citizens to become part of the 'axis of resistance' by joining the terrorist group Hezbollah, which has been firing rockets into Israel almost daily since the October 7 Hamas attacks.

Hezbollah has been proscribed by the British Government since 2019. Joining it, or even publicly supporting it, carries a potential jail term of up to 14 years.

President Volodymyr Zelensky’s chief of staff said this week that there will be no “compromises” with Russia despite fears that Moscow will seek to capture more territory after the failures of the counteroffensive last year.

Andriy Yermak, one of the most powerful figures in the Zelensky government, told POLITICO that Kyiv will not accept any terms in which the lines of conflict are frozen and that Ukraine will not accept any agreement that infringes upon its borders.

“The Russians are not interested in any negotiations. They want the capitulation of Ukraine. But it will never happen — all of us who are in Ukraine, we will not accept any compromise on our independence, on our territorial integrity, on our freedom. And this president will never agree to anything like the Minsk agreements or a frozen conflict. No, I’m sure about that,” Yermak said.

A former advisor to President Emmanuel Macron has warned that if France continues down the same path with the green agenda, the country will likely face a “social revolt” far greater than the Yellow Vest movement or the recent bout of farmer protests.

“It’s going to end very badly,” warned David Djaïz in an interview this week with the Paris-based conservative news magazine Le Point.

The left-wing public intellectual and Emmanuel Macron’s former rapporteur for the government’s National Council for Refoundation (CNR) accused the government and political elites in France of being “content to manage the decline”.

Djaïz, an ardent believer in the need for a green transition of the economy in France and in Europe as a whole, argued that there is a “deficit of strategic thinking” in the halls of power, saying: “I saw from the inside how intellectually and operationally the state was exhausted.”

“This is going to end very badly. France could experience a huge public finance crisis, or a social revolt compared to which the Yellow Vests and the farmers are appetizers,” he warned.

The Western bloc has a long record of promises to Russia made and broken, from a commitment not to expand east, to a pledge to support the 2015 Minsk peace deal to end the Ukrainian crisis. Now, a new set of records reveals that NATO vowed not to meddle in Russia’s backyard – a commitment broken in subsequent decades through color revolutions.

The US National Security Archive dropped a fresh trove of documents this week on previously classified conversations between senior Russian officials and their US and NATO counterparts in the period between 1992 and 1995, detailing what at the time seemed like rosy prospects for cooperation, and featuring a key pledge related to the internal affairs of the new post-Soviet republics.

A transcript of a meeting between then-chairman of the Russian parliament Ruslan Khasbulatov and NATO secretary general Manfred Woerner dated February 25, 1992, exactly two months after Mikhail Gorbachev declared the USSR defunct and resigned from office, features an unmistakably blunt commitment by Woerner that the alliance will not meddle in the internal political affairs of Russia and other members of the Commonwealth of Independent States.

Russian Security Council Deputy Chairman Dmitry Medvedev has accused leaders of NATO member countries, such as French President Emmanuel Macron, of helping to carry out the terrorist attack on a concert hall outside Moscow.

Medvedev said in a Telegram post that "senior officials in NATO countries" including Macron can be regarded as accomplices in the attack on the Crocus City Hall. He said the reasons to make the conclusion are Macron’s "rhetoric, his actions, and mostly his authorization of clandestine operations with the Banderist regime."

At least 14,350 minors have died in the Gaza Strip since the start of a new round of escalation in the Palestinian-Israeli conflict on October 7 last year, accounting for about 44% of the total number of victims, according to data released by the Palestinian Central Bureau of Statistics to mark the annual Palestinian Child's Day on April 5.

According to statistics cited by Al Jazeera television, about four children die every hour because of the actions of the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) in the Gaza Strip. Women and minors account for at least 70% of the total number of missing persons, which has reached 7,000. As many as 117 children were killed and 724 injured in the West Bank, where Israeli forces regularly carry out operations accompanied by clashes.

More than 816,000 children in Palestine require the help of specialists "due to the consequences of the Israeli aggression, which led to psychological trauma, caused fear, anxiety, depression," the report emphasizes.

Who is helping the Ukrainian army bomb Russian oil sites? According to confidential information, the drone attacks could be linked to a strategy adopted by MI6, the British secret service. It would not be new and the possible involvement of British intelligence did not take the Russian secret services by surprise. They expect this and more from London. This is demonstrated by a statement by Sergei Naryshkin, director of the Russian Foreign Secret Service. Just under three months ago Naryshkin stated in an interview with RIA Novosti (quickly forgotten by the media mainstream) that “Western intelligence agencies are training Ukrainian saboteurs to carry out provocations against Russian nuclear power plants”.

To better explain his suspicions, the head of foreign intelligence in Moscow claimed that

“I can give examples when Western intelligence services, primarily the British MI6, are training Ukrainian sabotage and reconnaissance groups whose plans include carrying out provocations at nuclear power plants in the Russian Federation”.

ISIS cells in central Syria launched late on April 7 a large attack against the Syrian Arab Army (SAA) and the National Defense Forces (NDF) in the northwestern countryside of Deir Ezzor.

The attack reportedly targeted several military positions between the towns of Madan and al-Tabni, along a key highway that links Deir Ezzor with the neighboring governorate of Raqqa. Government troops launched flares and clashes with ISIS cells well into the morning of April 6.

The terrorists were not apparently to make any gains. However, they inflicted some losses. According to the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights, a soldier from the SAA’s 17th Division and two fighters from the NDF were killed in the attack.

The attack came less than a day after the Russian Center for Reconciliation in Syria announced airstrikes against terrorists who moved into central Syria from the southeastern area of al-Tanf, which is controlled by the United States-led coalition and its proxies.
