"Nobody gets up one day and decides to be a terrorist for no reason. They don't hate us for our freedoms. They hate us and commit acts of terror because one day, as they are going about their normal lives, there is a horrendous blast and people they have known all their lives are lying in bloody shreds at their feet, mixed in with shrapnel stamped 'Made in the USA.'" -- Michael Rivero

The plutocracy believes that afterwards they can buy the whole thing for a pittance while flies are still laying eggs in European carcasses.

So Le Petit Roi in Paris was predictably crushed in the European polls. He has called parliamentary snap elections, dissolving the Assemblée Nationale in an act of blind, puerile revenge on French citizens, de facto attacking French institutional democracy.

That doesn’t mean much anyway, because the lineaments of “liberty, equality, fraternity” have long been usurped by a crass oligarchy.

The second round of these fresh French elections will be on July 7 – nearly coinciding with the British snap elections on July 11, and only a few days before the slow-burning urban catastrophe which will be the Olympics in Paris.

Paris salons are ablaze with intrigue on why the little Rothschild stooge with a Napoleon complex is throwing all his toys out of the pram now because he’s not getting what he wants.

After all what he really craves is to become a “War President” – together with the Cadaver in the White House, Starmer in the UK, Rutte in the Netherlands, the Toxic Medusa von der Lugen in Brussels, Tusk in Poland, without having to answer to the French people.

During a press conference at the so-called Ukraine Recovery Conference in Berlin on Tuesday, Ukraine’s Volodymyr Zelensky called on his countrymen to return to Ukraine, ostensibly to help “rebuild” the country.

The call from Zelensky for Ukrainians to return to the country is a thinly veiled attempt to press-gang them into service and send them to the frontlines as cannon fodder, Mark Sleboda, a security and international relations expert told Sputnik’s The Critical Hour on Wednesday.

Zelensky is hoping Ukrainians come back so their “press gangs can beat, conscript [them] off the streets, like we’ve seen in hundreds after hundreds of Telegram videos from people filming from the streets as the press gangs seize their husbands and their sons and fathers and drag them off to the trenches,” Sleboda warned.

On June 2, The Washington Post published an article on independent media outlet The Gray Zone, accusing them of having ties to Russia and Iran based largely on their employment of Wyatt Reed, a former writer for Sputnik and other outlets. Though the Post had to change its headline and retract some of its article, the hit piece remains online.

Despite all the censorship and restrictions placed on their citizenry, the elite of the United States and the collective West cannot hide the fact that it is a declining empire that has been fleecing its taxpayers for decades to maintain and improve the lifestyles of the most wealthy.

As of 2023, the top 10% financially in the US controlled 66.9% of the wealth, with the top 1% holding 30.6% of the wealth on its own. Meanwhile, the bottom 50% of the country held only 2.5% of wealth.

That wealth inequality is becoming so drastic that Americans have been seeing its effects for themselves, no analysis or news reports needed. In December, chronic homelessness hit an all-time high in the US. In February, the collective credit card debt of Americans also reached an all-time high, surpassing $1.13 trillion.

Over the past several decades, the US establishment has mastered meddling in foreign elections and fomenting regime changes across the globe. What's more, all these tools have been repeatedly used domestically to manipulate public opinion and peddle disinformation within the US while keeping "undesired" candidates away from power, according to Dr. Roberts.

"The CIA's influence over the media began in the 1950s and has grown dramatically over the years. As the Twitter Files proved, the FBI has been able to censor social media and prohibit free speech that challenges official narratives," the economist said.

Under these circumstances, Washington tolerating Volodymyr Zelensky's unconstitutional power grab in Ukraine after his presidential tenure expired sends a worrisome signal about the Biden administration's next moves. It raises questions, however, how the American people will react to a similar power grab in the US, according to Dr. Roberts.

"If this time the election is again stolen or Trump is assassinated and the majority recognize the fact, will they rise up in anger or will they be demoralized by a sense of powerlessness?" he asked.

Hezbollah earlier launched more than 200 rockets into northern Israel, in retaliation against the killing of the Lebanese militant group’s highest-ranking commander Taleb Sami Abdullah by the Jewish state.

The US is "scrambling" to prevent a full-blown conflict between Israel and the Lebanese militant group Hezbollah, according to Axios, citing unnamed American officials.

The Biden administration is extremely concerned about a scenario in which the current bilateral tensions escalate into an "all-out war."

The White House is also alarmed by the possibility that Israel could start or be drawn into a war with Hezbollah "without a clear strategy or consideration of the full implications of a wider conflict." In recent weeks, Washington has reportedly cautioned Tel Aviv against the notion of a "limited war" in Lebanon, warning that Iran could intervene.

Russia in 2023, despite the sanctions, retained the second place among the largest gold producers in the world with an output of 322 tons according to average estimates, RIA Novosti calculated according to relevant national ministries and associations.

Russia has not disclosed data on gold production in absolute terms since 2022. In 2021, the Ministry of Finance reported that the production of this metal (excluding secondary production from scrap) amounted to 313.8 tons. According to Rosstat, in 2022 production increased by 2.3%, and in 2023, on the contrary, it decreased by 2.5%, based on which last year it amounted to 313 tons.

However, a number of other departments estimate gold production in Russia higher: based on data from the World Gold Council, it amounted to 330.7 tons, the Australian relevant ministry gives an indicator of 332 tons. At the same time, the US Geological Survey gives a more modest estimate of 310 tons.

Lawmakers from two German opposition parties, the right-wing Alternative for Germany (AfD) and the new left-wing populist Sahra Wagenknecht Alliance (BSW), refused to attend a speech by Ukraine’s Vladimir Zelensky in the Bundestag on Tuesday. Both parties have expressed opposition to Kiev’s policies, warning they will only lead to further bloodshed.

Zelensky’s speech was the second he has delivered to the German parliament since the start of the conflict with Russia, although it was the first address he has made in person, rather than via video link. The Ukrainian leader thanked Berlin for its support and called on the country to ensure Russian President Vladimir Putin “loses this war.” The outcome of the conflict should leave no doubt about “who had won,” he insisted.

Germany will be supplying Ukraine with additional weapons, according to German Defense Minister Boris Pistorius, on Tuesday.

During a joint press conference with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky at a Bundeswehr base where Ukrainian troops are undergoing training, Pistorius stated, "Today … I can promise … further support, albeit on a smaller scale, but no less important."

Reportedly, Germany will provide an unspecified number of sniper rifles, anti-tank weapons, artillery ammunition components, and anti-drone systems to Ukraine, alongside several thousand strike drones, according to Pistorius.

Last week, Rep. Majorie Taylor Greene took a detour from grilling Anthony Fauci over COVID-19, to confront him with photos of beagles who had been subjected to animal testing experiments widely reported to be funded by the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases (NIAID) under the National Institutes of Health (NIH), following a 2021 investigation series by the group White Coat Waste Project.

"We should be recommending you to be prosecuted," Greene told Fauci. "We should be writing a criminal referral because you should be prosecuted for crimes against humanity. You belong in prison," she continued, adding "That man does not deserve to have a license. As a matter of fact, it should be revoked and he belongs in prison."

This opened up a can of worms which includes a response from White Coat Waste, and triggered the Washington Post's Glenn Kessler to do a deep dive into 'Beaglegage' in an effort to debunk Greene.

When we first saw Greene hold up the photo, we figured this would be easy to debunk — another in a string of misleading attacks against Fauci, who became the public face of the government’s response to the pandemic. -Washington Post

Only to discover that the NIH appears to have lied about funding the experiment, which involved beagles between 6 and 8 months old obtained from the kennels of the Pasteur Institute of Tunis. In the study, the beagles were sedated and then exposed to hundreds of sand flies that had been deprived of food for 24 hours. This exposure took place as part of research into zoonotic visceral leishmaniasis (ZVL), a disease carried by sand flies that can affect dogs and humans.

The Yemeni Security Forces uncovered a large espionage network operated by American and Israeli intelligence agencies, the agency announced Monday.

Officials revealed that the network had been active within various institutions in Yemen since 2015.

The head of the Security and Intelligence Service, Major General Abdul Hakim Hashem Al-Khaiwani, said in a televised statement, “The exposed network collected important information in various fields and carried out direct espionage technical operations on behalf of the enemy’s intelligence services to obtain confidential, sovereign information.”

The security apparatus reported that the network gathered critical information across multiple sectors and relayed it to hostile intelligence services.

The situation in Gaza's Rafah had become a "worse nightmare than was predicted," UN relief head Martin Griffith stated during the "Urgent Humanitarian Response for Gaza" conference, held in Jordan, adding that if the claims that the US pier was used to help in "Israel's" Rafah assault are proven true, then this would be "very concerning".

This comes as two Israeli intelligence officials informed The New York Times that US military personnel stationed in "Israel" supplied some of the intelligence for Saturday's attack on the Nuseirat refugee camp, which resulted in the killing of 274 Palestinians, including children. During this operation, four captives were retrieved.

On their part, Egyptian Foreign Minister Sameh Shoukry and his Jordanian counterpart Ayman Safadi urged the Israeli occupation to comply with a United Nations Security Council decision calling for an end to the war on Gaza.

French President Emmanuel Macron excoriated the Les Républicains leader Éric Ciotti for supporting an election pact with the populist National Rally party in the snap election he called after getting trounced in the EU elections.

In a rare press conference, an apparently agitated Macron snapped at Ciotti, Le Figaro reports, for turning his back on the “legacy of General (Charles) de Gaulle” in doing a “deal with the devil”, in reference to the Marine Le Pen’s National Rally (RN), with whom the Les Républicains leader backed an alliance with on Tuesday against Macron.

The move by the center-right leader sent shockwaves throughout the political establishment, sparking backlash from the far-left, the Macronists, and even many from within his own party, who believe that it is beyond the pale to pair with Le Pen and break the cordon sanitaire surrounding the party.

Massachusetts has launched what it calls a “public education campaign” against pro-life organizations that use “deceptive and dangerous” tactics to promote alternatives to abortion.

The campaign, which targets pregnancy resource centers and is funded by a $1-million grant from the state legislature, was officially launched by the administration of Democrats Gov. Maura Healy and Lt. Gov. Kim Driscoll on June 10. Attorney General Andrea Joy Campbell and Secretary of Health and Human Services Kate Walsh, both Democrats, also support the campaign.

“Anti-abortion centers exist to block access to full service, evidence-based, high-quality care offered by licensed providers. That is unacceptable,” Walsh stated in a news release. “The marketing campaign is designed to protect people, by urging them to seek safe and unbiased reproductive health care from caregivers who can provide the right care — the best care — free from coercion or misinformation.”

The news release added that there are currently more than twice as many pregnancy resource centers as abortion facilities in the state. According to Massachusetts’ leaders, the pregnancy resource centers pose as “comprehensive medical providers” that might coerce or misinform women seeking abortions.

The Republican-controlled House on Wednesday voted to hold Biden administration Attorney General Merrick Garland in contempt of Congress for refusing to turn over subpoenaed recordings of President Joe Biden amid Special Counsel Robert Hur’s investigation into the president’s handling of classified documents.

The 216-206 vote fell almost exactly along party lines. All Democrats who voted opposed the measure, and one Republican, Rep. David Joyce, R-OH, broke with his party to vote along with the Democrats.

“We can’t allow the Department of Justice, an executive branch agency, to hide information from Congress,” said House Speaker Mike Johnson, R-LA. “We have important oversight responsibilities, and that is what is being pursued here.”

To Harris, who had previously spent nearly seven years working for the Defense Department, it was a security nightmare. Anyone using the software was exposed, regardless of whether they used Microsoft or another cloud provider such as Amazon. But Harris was most concerned about the federal government and the implications of his discovery for national security. He flagged the issue to his colleagues.

They saw it differently, Harris said. The federal government was preparing to make a massive investment in cloud computing, and Microsoft wanted the business. Acknowledging this security flaw could jeopardize the company’s chances, Harris recalled one product leader telling him. The financial consequences were enormous. Not only could Microsoft lose a multibillion-dollar deal, but it could also lose the race to dominate the market for cloud computing.
