Ukrainian troops booby-trapped the bodies of dead civilians before retreating from the city of Avdeyevka, a security official in the Donetsk People’s Republic (DPR) told TASS.

"We came to know that Ukrainian forces had booby-trapped the bodies of dead civilians before retreating. Those were the bodies of the people gunned down by them or killed in military operations," he said.

According to the official, in some cases, family members saw troops booby-trap the bodies of their dead relatives. "Bomb squad members did their best to remove mines in the most careful manner in order to make it possible for the families to bury the dead," he noted.

Israeli forces will step up activity in Rafah, a city near Gaza’s border with Egypt, Israeli Defense Minister Yoav Gallant said, the Times of Israel reported.

"We are strengthening our effort against Rafah. This operation will go on and increase, more forces on the ground, more forces from the air, and we will reach our goals — to deal a very hard blow to Hamas, to deprive it of its military capabilities, to create the conditions to return the hostages to their homes," he said onboard a patrol boat on a trip to the Gaza coast.

While on the tour, Gallant was joined by several Navy commanders, the Times of Israel reported. Gallant was briefed on "the operational and humanitarian efforts in the maritime arena."

The international community earlier called on Israel to not conduct a full-blown operation in Rafah. The US said the operation would be a mistake, putting civilians in the city in harm’s way and weakening Israeli security. Israel insists that the operation in Rafah is necessary for full victory over Hamas. Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said the operation in the city will be crucial to the country’s entire campaign in Gaza.

The threat of a world war is growing due to "insane statements" by Western politicians speculating about sending soldiers to Ukraine against the background of exercises in Russia involving non-strategic nuclear weapons, Hungarian Foreign Minister Peter Szijjarto has said.

He noted that "there has been no day without another crazy statement uttered by of some of the European politicians."

"There are those who want to send soldiers to Ukraine. Others are already speculating about the use of nuclear weapons. Every day the threat of a world war is getting closer," Szijjarto told a news conference after a meeting in Budapest with his Swiss counterpart Ignazio Cassis.

"We see what is happening: European politicians are making statements about the use of nuclear weapons. The Russians are conducting exercises involving tactical nuclear weapons," Szijjarto said. He believes that "the time has come to stop this madness."

President Joe Biden has done everything he can to foist gun control on the American public, whether anyone wanted it or not. -- Time after time, he's issued calls for things like assault weapon bans and magazine restrictions, to say nothing of his countless executive orders seeking to restrict our right to keep and bear arms.

Google's YouTube video platform is switching gears in the lead-up to the 2024 election in order to rig the election against unapproved candidates.

In a new blog post, YouTube laid out how it is "voluntarily" assuming the role of a private business that "supports elections."

YouTube is not just interested in rigging the United States election, though; the changes arrived just prior to the European Parliament (EP) election, which is also right around the corner.

YouTube says its goal is to present "an overview of our efforts to help people across Europe and beyond find helpful and authoritative election news and information," meaning YouTube will disseminate only approved information for public consumption to sway people's voting habits.

A New Zealand coroner has ruled that a man’s vaccine-induced death could have been prevented if he had been informed about the risks before consenting to having the covid mRNA injection.

It highlights the failures of health professionals and institutions to give the public sufficient information so people can consent to the injections based on an informed decision.

But, as Dr. Guy Hatchard notes, this admission will not result in any repercussions on the vaccinators and their allies.  And he puts the deaths by vaccination into perspective.

“If you put [excess deaths in the covid injection era] next to the refusal of … hundreds of [ ] officials, parliamentarians and medicos to take any disciplinary action, you can re-appraise it as an extraordinary act of looking the other way faced with a stealthy but deadly plague of serial killers in our midst,” he writes.

Microsoft's announcement of the new AI-powered Windows 11 Recall feature has sparked a lot of concern, with many thinking that it has created massive privacy risks and a new attack vector that threat actors can exploit to steal data.

Revealed during a Monday AI event, the feature is designed to help "recall" information you have looked at in the past, making it easily accessible via a simple search.

While it's currently only available on Copilot+ PCs running Snapdragon X ARM processors, Microsoft says they are working with Intel and AMD to create compatible CPUs.

Security researchers reverse-engineered Apple's recent iOS 17.5.1 update and found that a recent bug that restored images deleted months or even years ago was caused by an iOS bug and not an issue with iCloud.

Despite widespread reports from users and tech outlets confirming the alarming issue, Apple remained silent about the root cause, failing to address people's valid concerns.

Today's report can now ease people's concern that Apple was indefinitely storing media users deleted a long time ago, which would have been a massive breach of privacy.

Apple fixed the bug in iOS 17.5.1, which was released on Monday.

GitLab patched a high-severity vulnerability that unauthenticated attackers could exploit to take over user accounts in cross-site scripting (XSS) attacks.

The security flaw (tracked as CVE-2024-4835) is an XSS weakness in the VS code editor (Web IDE) that lets threat actors steal restricted information using maliciously crafted pages.

While they can exploit this vulnerability in attacks that don't require authentication, user interaction is still needed, increasing the attacks' complexity.

"Today, we are releasing versions 17.0.1, 16.11.3, and 16.10.6 for GitLab Community Edition (CE) and Enterprise Edition (EE)," GitLab said.

"These versions contain important bug and security fixes, and we strongly recommend that all GitLab installations be upgraded to one of these versions immediately."
