"Most people prefer to believe their leaders are just and fair even in the face of evidence to the contrary, because once a citizen acknowledges that the government under which they live is lying and corrupt, the citizen has to choose what he or she will do about it. To take action in the face of a corrupt government entails risks of harm to life and loved ones. To choose to do nothing is to surrender one's self-image of standing for principles. Most people do not have the courage to face that choice. Hence, most propaganda is not designed to fool the critical thinker but only to give moral cowards an excuse not to think at all." -- Michael Rivero

The Alternative for Germany (AfD) party, which is now the second most popular party in the country, is moving closer to being banned. Christian Democrat (CDU) MP Marco Wanderwitz says he has enough MPs in his corner to table a motion for an AfD ban in the Bundestag.

He noted that he has gathered 37 MPs who will support the ban while speaking with the far-left newspaper taz.

Wanderwitz is still waiting on the Münster Higher Administrative Court. That court has since agreed with the classification of the AfD as a “suspected right-wing extremist” organization in May; however, the court has not yet released a written justification behind its decision. Wanderwitz says he is waiting for the court to release its written report before moving forward with a ban proposal.

Some popular media outlets and international political figures came under fire Tuesday for falsely reporting the death of U.S. academic and social critic Noam Chomsky, who is fighting to recover in Brazil after suffering a massive stroke last year.

“Chomsky did not die. I just spoke to Valéria, his wife,” said Brazilian journalist Cauê Seigner Ameni.

“He is well,” Valéria Chomsky confirmed to ABC‘s Chris Looft.

Toward the end of Monday's online conference organized by Uri Tzafon ("Wake Up the North"), a far-right movement calling for Israeli settlement in southern Lebanon, a feeling emerged that this wasn't really an event worthy of coverage.

After all, this was a group of religious messianists discussing a topic so seemingly detached from reality that, at its peak, only 280 people were watching its YouTube channel.

And then the moderator, Prof. Amos Azaria, introduced a panel discussing "Successful Models of Settlement From the Past and Lessons for South Lebanon" with Daniella Weiss, Yehudit Katzover and Rabbi Elishama Cohen.

A Republican senator blocked a Democratic-led attempt to pass legislation Tuesday that would have restored a Trump-era ban on bump stocks, an accessory that enables semi-automatic weapons to shoot at a very rapid pace, after last week's Supreme Court decision striking down the ban.

Sen. Martin Heinrich, a New Mexico Democrat, requested that his bill banning bump stocks be brought up for a vote under unanimous consent, a procedure in which a measure passes so long as no lawmaker objects. Sen. Pete Ricketts, a Nebraska Republican, blocked the measure by objecting.

Heinrich said Tuesday there's "no legitimate use for a bump stock."

"A bump stock-equipped semi-automatic rifle is a machine gun and it should be banned, just like machine guns have been banned for nearly 100 years now," he said on the Senate floor. "Even still, within the Supreme Court's majority's ruling, they gave Congress, they gave us, clear direction on the only way for us to protect Americans from these deadly devices. Congress needs to act."

Webmaster addition: Had this bill passed, it would have gone right back to the Supreme Court.

U.S. and Israeli officials will hold a meeting at the White House on Thursday to discuss Iran's nuclear program after intelligence agencies discovered concerning information about Iran's capabilities, Axios reported Tuesday.

U.S. and Israeli intelligence agencies reportedly uncovered information about a computer modeling program Iran has acquired that could be used to assist in developing nuclear weapons. The purpose of the program remains unclear, with officials reportedly split on whether it is innocuous or it represents further nuclear ambition in Iran.

"For years now the intelligence community has assessed Iran is not actively working to build a nuclear weapon, that it might be building out the assembly line for fissile material but that we had no indication of active weaponization work. If true, this would upend that assessment and suggest Iran has a shorter runway to a bomb than previously reported," said Richard Goldberg, senior adviser at the Foundation for Defense of Democracies, a Washington-based nonpartisan national security think tank.

Webmaster addition: Remember the "Laptop Of Death"? This was a hoax perpetrated by Israel which claimed the laptop was stolen from an Iranian nuclear scientist. The laptop contained all sorts of technical information on nuclear weapons, later revealed by experts to be junk mostly copied off of the internet. But frankly, if Iran was thinking about building nuclear, who could blame them?

The Department of Justice (DOJ) has urged an appeals court to reject an “emergency motion” filed by Steve Bannon, a former adviser to ex-President Donald Trump, as he seeks to postpone an upcoming prison sentence.

In a court filing on Monday, the DOJ argued that Bannon’s emergency motion “seeking release pending the final resolution of his appeal” fails to “show a ‘substantial question likely to result in’ reversal or a new trial, as required for release.”

On June 6, a federal judge ordered Steve Bannon, host of the War Room podcast, to serve a four-month prison sentence after being found in contempt of Congress. Shortly after, Bannon filed an emergency motion requesting that a federal appeals court allow him to remain free while he contests his contempt of Congress conviction and seeks an appeal, according to NBC News.

Trump is now leading Biden in Pennsylvania, according to the latest polling from Marist.

Pennsylvania is shaping up to be a pivotal battleground once again in the upcoming election. Democrats see it as crucial for securing Biden’s victory, while Trump’s previous win in 2016 and his potential to repeat it in 2024 underscore its pivotal role.

If Biden fails to win here in November, it significantly reduces his path to securing 270 Electoral College votes.

Some people call it the plandemic. Others call it the scamdemic. Either way, most of the deaths did not come from the “novel” virus, but rather the toxic mRNA spike prions that invaded the vascular system of several billion people across the globe.

Another quiet Holocaust that nobody seemed to recognize, well, except for the natural health enthusiasts, who know better than to trust anything pushed by Big Pharma, especially when it’s created in a criminal-run laboratory, then injected into the sheeple’s “muscle tissue” to “build immunity.”

Then came the wave of “misinformation,” which really meant that all the truth-tellers and the whistleblowers who let everyone else know what the so-called “vaccines” really do, were labeled conspiracy theorists, anti-vaxxers and misinformation terrorists.

Meanwhile, Big Pharma, Big Media and Social Media swung the wrecking balls, destroying popular opinion and spreading ALL the misinformation about how hundreds of millions of people, who all happened to get the Covid jabs, “died suddenly” (from vascular clots, heart attacks, strokes and turbo cancer).

Security concerns for agency workers have led the United States Agriculture Department to suspend its inspections of avocados and mangos imported from Mexico “until further notice,” the U.S.D.A. said on Monday.

Produce already cleared for export will not be affected by the decision, but avocado supplies in the United States, which mostly come from the Mexican state of Michoacán, could eventually be affected if the inspections are not resumed.

The inspections “will remain paused until the security situation is reviewed and protocols and safeguards are in place,” a U.S.D.A. spokesman said in an email.

The agency did not say what had prompted the security concerns. But Mexican news outlets recently reported that two U.S.D.A. inspectors had been illegally detained at a checkpoint run by community members. In Michoacán, which stretches from the mountains west of Mexico City to the Pacific Ocean, some Indigenous communities have set up security patrols to defend themselves against criminal groups.

The Wall Street Journal comments A Voter Revolt Grows in California.

The George Soros-backed initiative cut the state prison count, but Californians are paying a high price. Organized criminals exploit the law’s lax penalties. District attorneys say Prop. 47 prevents them from leveraging the penalty of jail time to induce addicts into treatment. Police often don’t arrest thieves or drug users because the crimes go unpunished. Retail theft, vagrancy and open-air drug use have spiked.

Thus the citizen initiative, which would toughen penalties for shoplifters and drug dealers. Someone with two prior convictions for theft could be charged with a felony on the third offense no matter the amount. The value of stolen property from multiple thefts could be combined for a felony charge.

The initiative would also make possessing fentanyl while carrying a loaded firearm a felony. Dealers could be charged with homicide if their clients overdose.

Democrats Alternative Solution

Democrats are advancing a package of bills to assuage public anger about surging crime. One would let courts issue restraining orders against thieves, as if this would stop them.

A year before former President Donald Trump was convicted on 34 felonies, and a month after Trump was indicted, Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg was attending a fundraiser for a group that wants Trump’s name off the ballot alongside a man who has likened Trump to Adolph Hitler.

In May 2023, Bragg attended the main fundraiser for the NAACP Legal Defense Fund (LDF), which has been on the front lines of legal efforts to keep Americans from being able to hear from, and vote for, Trump. He was pictured alongside film director Spike Lee, who has said Trump “will go down in history with the likes of Hitler” and that both Trump and “all his boys” are “going down on the wrong side of history.”

Bragg has come under fire by Trump’s supporters for what they characterize as a political prosecution of the former president. Bragg used a dubious and unproven out-of-jurisdiction crime to transform an alleged paperwork misdemeanor into 34 felonies, all of which a Manhattan jury quickly convicted the former president of. His attendance at a fundraiser will likely only fuel allegations that Trump was targeted only because he’s the Republican nominee for president.

“This week, we learned an illegal alien from El Salvador who Crooked Joe Biden allowed into our country murdered a mother of five while she was on a run in Maryland, and we learned an illegal alien from Ecuador tied up and raped a 13-year-old girl at knifepoint in broad daylight. But Biden doesn’t care about the American lives that will forever be destroyed by the illegal criminals he is importing; and Biden doesn’t care that law-abiding taxpayers, crushed by inflation, are forced to pay for free food, housing, and healthcare for illegals. Biden only cares about one thing — power — and that’s why he is giving mass amnesty and citizenship to hundreds of thousands of illegals who he knows will ultimately vote for him and the Open Border Democrat Party. Biden’s mass amnesty plan will undoubtedly lead to a greater surge in migrant crime, cost taxpayers millions of dollars they cannot afford, overwhelm public services, and steal Social Security and Medicare benefits from American seniors to fund benefits for illegals — draining the programs Americans paid into their entire working lives. Biden has created another invitation for illegal immigration through his mass amnesty order.”

Authored by Lorenz Duchamps via The Epoch Times,

Texas officials have reported a significant drop in illegal border crossings since Gov. Gregg Abbott implemented his state-level border security mission.

According to a statement released by Mr. Abbott’s office on June 14, the initiative has resulted in a 74 percent decrease in immigrants crossing into the state illegally in Texas since Operation Lone Star was launched in March 2021.

As part of the initiative, the Republican governor has deployed floating border barriers, installed wire fencing, and used the Texas National Guard to stem the flow of illegal immigrants.

Since the program was launched, the multi-agency effort has led to nearly 514,000 illegal immigrant apprehensions and more than 44,000 criminal arrests, with more than 38,600 felony charges, the statement said.

Claire's Observations:  What is that wonderful statement, "Don't mess with Texas!!"  Well, Governor Abbott and his Law Enforcement  Agencies, just proved that true again!! :-)

Former President Trump holds an 18-point lead over President Biden in Iowa, according to a new poll in a one-time crucial general election battleground state that's shifted to the right over the past decade.

Trump, the presumptive GOP presidential nominee, stands at 50% with Biden at 32% among likely voters in a Des Moines Register/Mediacom Iowa Poll released on Monday.

Democrat turned independent presidential candidate Robert F. Kennedy Jr., who says he's qualified to make Iowa's ballot, grabbed 9% support, with Libertarian Party candidate Chase Oliver at 3%, and 3% backing other candidates, according to the survey.

Iowa was a one-time swing state, which former President Barack Obama carried in the 2008 and 2012 elections. But Trump won the state by 9 points over Democratic presidential nominee Hillary Clinton in 2016 in his White House victory and by 8 points over Biden four years ago in his re-election defeat.

The Kremlin has continued blasting the international Ukraine peace summit which was held in Burgenstock, Switzerland over the weekend, with spokeswoman Maria Zakharova highlighting that the Alpine "get-together" produced zero results.

Though there were almost 100 countries represented, Zakharova said that this attempt to involve as many countries of the Global South as possible "has failed". She further described that the whole effort at putting on a "universal event" while at the same time talking more weapons deliveries to Kiev behind the scenes was all about trying to "camouflage" the West's continued aggressive intentions.

Via Russian MFA

Decrying the Zelensky peace formula, she added that "Its authors in the United States and on Bankovaya Street are trying to portray it as the only foundation for a peace settlement."

Notably Saudi Arabia, India, South Africa, Thailand, Indonesia, Mexico and the UAE did not sign the summit's final communique. Additionally, Brazil was present as an "observer" but also did not sign.

Claire's Observation:  It is apparent, through the actions of NATO and with the US bringing back a draft, that there will be no turning back from a full-on, hot war with Russia.  This is profoundly idiotic move to make, on the part the West, but the West is doing it anyway, because By-di-Bye's minions CANNOT have the war against Russia by Ukraine seen as yet another colossal foreign failure, before the elections, with all the blood, bullets, and money already spent on Ukraine so far.

President Joe Biden joined former President Barack Obama and a handful of Hollywood script-readers in Los Angeles over the weekend to raise money for his re-election campaign. Unlike excerpts of the heavily edited video of the event circulated online by Democratic operatives, Chris Gardner of the Hollywood Reporter shared raw and uninterrupted footage showing the 81-year-old presidential candidate freezing up once again following a shaky interview. In the uncut video, Obama then grabs Biden by the wrist and guides him offstage.

As this was one of a series of instances in recent weeks where Biden appeared stunned and momentarily paralyzed, the White House and Biden boosters further afield — both foreign and domestic — worked vigorously on damage control.

In the White House press briefing Monday, press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre leaned on a narrative cooked up in the pages of the Washington Post and other allied publications, which suggests that unflattering videos of Biden are "manipulated."

Candice Wiggins was a college star at Stanford, the third pick of the 2008 WNBA draft and a 2011 champion. And at the mountaintop of her basketball career, her sexuality marred the moment.

There is a “very, very harmful” culture running throughout the WNBA, she says, which saw her get bullied during her eight-year career because she is heterosexual.

Wiggins, who last played in the league in 2015, said she retired prematurely to leave a league that she estimated — wildly — is 98 percent lesbian, and which is played in such isolation that it weighs on the people on the court.

“It wasn’t like my dreams came true in the WNBA. It was quite the opposite,” Wiggins said in an extensive San Diego Tribune story published Monday. “… I wanted to play two more seasons of WNBA, but the experience didn’t lend itself to my mental state. It was a depressing state in the WNBA. It’s not watched. Our value is diminished. It can be quite hard. I didn’t like the culture inside the WNBA, and without revealing too much, it was toxic for me. … My spirit was being broken.”

The 30-year-old couldn’t take it anymore — being harassed for being straight and fighting for attention in a league that is starved.

This military escalation will certainly also affect Italy.

Aviano AB, in the north-eastern region of Friuli-Venezia-Giulia, is one of the most important and strategic NATO and US Air Force bases on the Italian territory because it is one of the two that hosts the atomic warheads, as we saw in a previous investigation.

For this reason it is one of the sensitive objectives in a possible conflict between the Atlantic Alliance and Russia.

Hunter Biden informed his business associates in late 2013 that a top Chinese Communist Party (CCP) leader allegedly asked him to travel to China to talk about future "business opportunities," according to an email obtained and verified by Fox News Digital.

In December 2013, Biden accompanied his father, then-Vice President Joe Biden, on a six-day trip around Asia that included China, South Korea and Japan. While in Beijing, Biden introduced his father to one of his Chinese business associates, who was accompanied by another associate, in the lobby of the hotel they were staying in.

During the China leg of the trip, Biden attended multiple events with his dad, including a lunch that featured some of the most powerful CCP leaders in China. On Dec. 5, Jonathan Li, the business associate who Vice President Biden was introduced to, emailed Biden asking him how his China trip was going, prompting Biden to email later that day that everything "went very well."

"Do you know former Governor of Hong Kong- C.H. Troung (sp?)," Hunter asked. "He wants me to come to HK to visit to discuss business opportunities. He sat next to Dad at lunch w/ Premiere and implied we knew each other- but I don't remember him."

Since the Intermediate-Range Nuclear Forces Treaty expired in 2019, the United States has developed Medium-Range Missile (MRM) capability.

On April 3, 2024, Gen. Charles Flynn, U.S. Army Pacific commanding general, told the Japanese media at the U.S. Embassy in Tokyo that the U.S. Army planned to deploy a new MRM launcher in the Asia-Pacific region by the end of this year that could act as a deterrent against China. He didn’t disclose the name of the missile launching system or where and when the U.S. would deploy it. However, the Asahi Shimbun reported that a U.S. government source said the system would likely be based in Guam and temporarily transferred to Japan for training.

In January 2023, the Yomiuri Shimbun reported that Washington postponed deploying the ground-launched MRM in Japan. On April 22, 2024, the U.S. Army announced sending an MRM system to the Philippines. It came amid a series of U.S.-Philippines military exercises and was the first-ever deployment of the MRM system, also known as the Typhon system, to the Indo-Pacific theater. The U.S. Army didn’t say how long the Typhon system would remain in the Philippines

Claire's Observations;  The Federal government is incapable of fixing public schools; fixing the massive homelessness problem driven by thousands of illegal immigrants who look at immigration not as a privilege but as a right; which cannot fix the massive 35 trillion dollar deficit (that we know of) which is incapable of   resolving massive gang and drug related problems in our inner cities; or putting a lid on conflicts that could ( and should) be contained through negotiation. but DAMN they can build and deploy horrifically impressive weapons of mass destruction.!!!!

New documents show that in 2016, Hunter Biden used his father’s high-profile position to shield himself from potential charges in a federal securities investigation. The case dates back to March 2016, when the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) was delving into a tribal bond scheme. Hunter’s business connections were pulled into the spotlight as part of a sprawling investigation.

Documents and communications were subpoenaed from various entities linked to Biden, including his then-business partner Devon Archer and their joint entity, Rosemont Seneca Bohai (RSB). According to the Committee on Oversight, RSB was directly implicated in the scheme and a conduit for significant amounts of money from foreign entities and individuals—some of whom had meetings with Joe Biden during his vice presidency before and after making substantial deposits into the RSB account. These funds eventually made their way to Hunter.

The investigation intensified in March 2016, when Hunter himself was subpoenaed by the SEC. Required to produce a broad range of documents related to RSB, the stakes were high. However, in his response to the SEC in April 2016, Hunter’s legal team requested the matter be treated with the utmost confidentiality. They argued that public knowledge of the investigation would be unfair not only to Hunter but also to his father, then the Vice President of the United States.
