The new House oversight committee investigating the political weaponization of the Justice Department may want to bring on some additional staff and start putting in some overtime. Every new story that comes out about the FBI’s actions in recent years makes the Bureau look worse and worse. The latest story posted by our colleagues at PJ Media involves the ongoing “seditious conspiracy” charges being brought against leaders and members of the Proud Boys. The trial of chapter leader Zach Rehl was preparing to call a witness this week, but ran into a problem. Their “witness” turned out to be a confidential informant for the FBI who had been spying on the defense team. That brought the trial to a screeching halt “until these issues have been considered and resolved.” That’s putting it mildly, to say the least.
The first officer of a Virgin Australia regional flight from Adelaide to Perth reportedly became incapacitated after suffering a heart attack 30 minutes into the flight, according to an incident report by The Aviation Herald.
Also, a British Airways pilot reportedly collapsed just before his scheduled commercial flight from Cairo, Egypt to London’s Heathrow Airport.
According to reports, the veteran pilot suffered a heart attack in the crew’s hotel.
Although colleagues performed CPR on the pilot, he tragically passed away.
Isaac “Ike” Perlmutter — the billionaire who sold Marvel Entertainment to Disney in 2009 and who has long been known for his clashes with CEO Bob Iger — has been forced out as part of job cuts at the company.
The 80-year-old Perlmutter was informed on Wednesday that Marvel Entertainment, a division centered on consumer products where Perlmutter was chairman and was run separately from Marvel Studios, was “redundant” and would be “folded into larger Disney business units,” according to The New York Times.
Disney confirmed the exit.
Moderate Republican Rep. Tony Gonzales of Texas threatened to vote against any debt ceiling increase if the House brings up a border security bill favored by the GOP's immigration hawks.
"Bring unchristian anti-immigrant bills to the floor and I am a NO on the debt ceiling," Gonzales declared on Twitter Wednesday, days after reports indicated that Republican leadership is pushing to delay markup of immigration and border security bills as the party deals with infighting between members.
It's a threat that further complicates House Speaker Kevin McCarthy's efforts to negotiate a debt limit increase with President Biden while keeping members of his own conference united.
Senator Rand Paul has claimed that Anthony Fauci is still working for the government in order to take advantage of federal legal protection against claims that he engaged in a cover up on the origins of the coronavirus pandemic.
Appearing on Hannity, Paul stated “There is a massive coverup going on and the lead in all of the coverup has been Fauci.”
The Senator continued, “We now have information that he is still working for the government even though he says he is retired.”
“It is my belief that he is worried about being indicted and so he continues to work so he will get legal protection under the federal government,” Paul asserted.
“This is wrong on every level of it and we are going to get to the bottom of it. We are sending a letter to find out what the actual status of his employment is,” Paul added.
On Tuesday, Attorney General Merrick Garland refused to commit to using federal resources to investigate Monday’s shooting in Nashville as a hate crime, despite the perpetrator’s clear motivations against the Christian victims.
The Daily Caller reports that the Nashville Police Department discovered “writings” in Audrey Elizabeth Hale’s home after the shooting, which suggested a “calculated and planned” attack. Addressing these reports, Senator John Kennedy (R-La.) noted during a Senate Appropriations Committee hearing that the 28-year-old Hale “could have had collaborators.”
Kennedy then asked Garland if he planned on letting the FBI launch a hate crime investigation, as Hale’s identity as a “transgender man” clearly played a role in her decision to target the Presbyterian school where she used to be a student.
Retired deputy police chief reveals there are sizzle reels of every defendant in the Capitol, as prosecutors admit footage shows undercover cops inciting protesters.
The Manhattan grand jury examining Donald Trump’s alleged role in a hush money payment to a porn star isn’t expected to hear evidence in the case for the next month largely due to a previously scheduled hiatus, according to a person familiar with the proceedings.
The break would push any indictment of the former president to late April at the earliest, although it is possible that the grand jury’s schedule could change. In recent weeks, the Manhattan district attorney’s office hasn’t convened the panel on certain days. But it is District Attorney Alvin Bragg’s prerogative to ask the grand jury to reconvene if prosecutors want the panel to meet during previously planned breaks.
Would the RESTRICT Act—a.k.a. the TikTok ban bill—criminalize the use of VPNs? That's the rumor floating around about the legislation, which was introduced in the Senate by Sen. Mark Warner (D–Va.) earlier this month. Warner's office has said his bill wouldn't do this… but its broad language leaves room for doubt. And the act is still insanely far-reaching and could have a huge range of deleterious effects, even if it doesn't criminalize people using a VPN to access TikTok.
VPN stands for virtual private network, and there are several different kinds, but their general aim is the same: keeping your digital activities and location private. Using a VPN with your computer, phone, or another internet-enabled device can do things like mask your I.P. address and encrypt your internet connection. It's a great way to get around location-based firewalls (a.k.a. geoblocking) and other forms of internet censorship.
For this reason, VPNs are popular in countries that exercise authoritarian control over what their citizens can access online. It's sad that this contingent could soon include U.S. citizens, but include us it does, as both Republicans and Democrats get more and more gung-ho about banning the popular video platform TikTok.
The World Bank is promoting a Marxist agenda that involves the public surrendering their children to a global childcare regime.
Karl Marx and Friedrich Engels were the pioneers of modern socialism.
They insisted that every adult member of society be “liberated” from parental work.
Instead, they must fill “socially productive” roles.
China’s Mao Zedong embraced this doctrine and declared that “in order to build a great socialist society it is of the utmost importance to arouse the broad masses of women to join in productive activity” which would foster “genuine equality between the sexes.”
In just a few words, this far-left ideology labels the work of bearing and raising human beings as an “unproductive activity.”
The US Senate on Wednesday passed a bill to repeal the 1991 and 2002 Authorizations for Use of Military Force (AUMFs) against Iraq, sending the bill to the House of Representatives before final approval by US President Joe Biden.
Senators passed the bill in a bipartisan vote of 66-30, with 46 lawmakers sponsoring the bill across both parties.
The 1991 AUMF permitted the United States’ involvement in the Gulf War, while the 2002 AUMF allowed the invasion of Iraq to overthrow the government of Saddam Hussein.

Lavrov announced the participation of NATO in the conflict on the side of Ukraine
It is difficult for those of us currently residing in the United States to get an accurate account about how the war in Ukraine is actually going, as it depends on which sources you read and trust.
I don’t think it can be disputed, however, that the economy of NATO nations is in serious trouble with massive bank runs and failures, and massive demonstrations in many countries with the country of France literally burning and basically shut down, while non-NATO countries such as Russia, China, Saudi Arabia, and Iran, are already on the road to economic recovery as they band together to oppose the ongoing wars and economic sanctions funded by the Davos Crowd.
For a non-Western perspective on what is basically the beginning stages of World War 3 as it unfolds before us in real time today, I am publishing a commentary by Sam Parker of Behind the News Network entitled The Demise of Nato. The article has a time stamp of Jan 10, 2023, which is probably when he started writing it, but it was just published this week.
(If you are unfamiliar with the writings of Sam Parker, and how he views the world as consisting of “Zone A and Zone B,” see: World War III Has Started – How Did we Get Here and What’s Next? A Non-Western Perspective.)
Consider this commentary as a “worse case scenario,” as Parker believes that Russia absolutely has the power to destroy the United States, even without launching nuclear weapons, by bombing key infrastructures, like they are currently doing in Ukraine.
A drag queen performed a lap dance for a girl, believed to be a teenage student, in front of cheering children at a Pride event for high schoolers.
The dancer, identified as Erica Chanel, was seen gyrating on top of the student at Forsyth Technical Community College, which is a public school located in Winston-Salem, North Carolina.
As the video pans around the room of cheering spectators, children, no older than elementary school age, can be seen in attendance.
