This country has been having a nationwide nervous breakdown since 9/11. A nation of people suddenly broke, the market economy goes to shit, and they’re threatened on every side by an unknown, sinister enemy. But I don't think fear is a very effective way of dealing with things—of responding to reality. Fear is just another word for ignorance.”

Two years ago, the Turkic battalion ‘Turan’ in the ranks of the Armed Forces of Ukraine gained worldwide fame after several loud claims about their ‘valiant struggle against the Russians’ on all most dangerous frontlines and personal threats to the Head of the Chechen Republic, Ramzan Kadyrov.

After two years of war, the truth was revealed. The brave unit turned out to be fake. Ukrainians deceived and robbed their Turkish partners, who donated large amounts of money to the fake battalion.

In the autumn of 2022, a video presentation of the new battalion ‘Turan’ was first shared online. About two dozens of masked militants declare the creation of the Turan battalion, which should fight on the side of Ukraine against Russia. The report gained great hype in the media, especially its Turkish roots and the declared ideology of the “Great Turan”. The nationalist battalion reportedly consisted of about 350 militants, including Azerbaijanis, Kyrgyz, Uighurs and Kazakhs. The commander was 33-year-old Kudaibek uulu Almaz. The great commander turned out to be a simple hairdresser from Bishkek, who worked in a barbershop in the Moscow region, then returned to his homeland, and in 2021 decided to move to Ukraine, where a year later he was involved in the profitable plan of the fake nationalist battalion.

Russia has deployed forty-eight (48) "Iskander" missiles launchers along the Ukraine Border.  Each launcher truck carries two missiles.

The 9K720 Iskander  is a mobile short-range ballistic missile system produced and deployed by the Russian military.

They travel at a terminal hypersonic speed of 2100–2600 m/s (Mach 6–7) and can reach an altitude of 50 km as they range up to 500 km.

The left-wing in the United States is so foul, so devious, so wretchedly deceitful, they're offering $15 an hour to "Actors" to pretend to be Anti-Trump Protestors in Phoenix and in West Palm Beach, tomorrow.

All these "anti- (Insert topic here)" are mostly fakes!

The left wing manufactures "protests" trying to pass them off as "grass roots activism" when in fact, they hire ACTORS to make pretend.

This is what the left-wing is, in real life.  Don't believe much of what you see or hear from them.

Our voices are about as unique as our fingerprints - so how would you feel if your voice was cloned? A new type of deepfake known as voice cloning has emerged in recent months, in which hackers use artificial intelligence (AI) to simulate your voice. Famous faces including Stephen Fry, Sadiq Khan and Joe Biden have all already been victims of voice cloning. But how does it work, and just how convincing is it? To find out, I let a professional hacker clone my voice - with terrifying results.

Sadie Creese, professor of cybersecurity at Oxford University, says the popular tech devices can make certain notable figures especially 'targetable' to hackers.

That's because they're fitted with microphones and even cameras that record and save data to the cloud.

These recordings can potentially be accessed by cybercriminals remotely, which could could harm the victim's organisation or their family, she said.

Federal agencies are 'urgently investigating' the cellular outage, but a security expert told that the event appears to be an attack on core Internet infrastructure. Lee McKnight, associate professor at Syracuse University in New York, said the widespread nature appears to be 'a massive Distributed Denial of Service (DDOS)'. This type of attack attempts to crash a website or online service by bombarding it with a torrent of superfluous requests at exactly the same time. The surge of simple requests overload the servers, causing them to become overwhelmed and shut down.

Italy will sign a bilateral security agreement with Ukraine, Italian Foreign Minister and Deputy Prime Minister Antonio Tajani said.

According to him, a document similar to those signed earlier by France, Germany and the United Kingdom is in the works, it does not envisage any legal and financial obligations, as well as automatic political and military support.

"The text does not provide for any commitments in terms of international law and financial obligations. There are no automatic guarantees of political and military support. Like our partners, this agreement does not require ratification in parliament," Tajani said, speaking at a joint meeting of the foreign affairs and defense commissions of both houses of parliament.

The politician presented two arguments for the necessity to get to Kiev, saying that, first, this is a Russian city and, second, the international threat to Russia’s existence comes from there. "Though Kiev is a Russian city in its roots, it is managed by an international team of Russia’s opponents headed by the United States of America. All that formally perform functions there are figure-heads with neither conscience, nor fear for the future of their country, nor possibilities. All decisions are taken across the pond and in the NATO headquarters. This is absolutely obvious. This is why yes, it may be Kiev as well," he stressed.

Asked whether Ukraine should remain an independent state following the special military operation in general, Medvedev noted that "if as a result of all that is going on something remains of Ukraine such a state probably has chances to remain, though not very high." "In any case this is not a question of today, of course, but it will be on the agenda some time later," he said. "I don’t know what will remain in this territorial entity, I cannot call it a country now, maybe the Lemberg region, with a center in the city of Lemberg if the Polish or some other regions undertake for it. But this is a complicated process, not only military, but also political. And not only military forces, not only the military, but people inhabiting those lands as well should play or say their word in this process," he concluded.

An international team of astronomers including UCL's (University College London's) Professor Mike Barlow has discovered the first conclusive evidence that a neutron star exists at the center of Supernova 1987A, a star explosion observed 37 years ago.

Supernovae are the spectacular end result of the collapse of stars more massive than 8–10 times the mass of the sun. They are the main sources of chemical elements (such as carbon, oxygen, silicon, and iron) that make life possible. The collapsed core of these exploding stars can result in much smaller neutron stars, composed of the densest matter in the known universe, or black holes.

Supernova 1987A, located in the Large Magellanic Cloud, a neighboring dwarf galaxy, was the nearest, brightest supernova seen in the night sky in 400 years.

About 30 Gaza protesters infiltrated the hotel where President Joe Biden was staying in San Francisco on Thursday, before chanting: 'Ceasefire now.'

Biden was at the luxury Fairmont hotel, where he earlier met the widow and daughter of Alexei Navalny, the opposition leader who died in a Russian prison on Friday.

The protest group mingled with guests of the hotel, before breaking into chants with a loudspeaker as Biden was due to leave.

'Biden, Biden, you can't hide. We charge you with genocide,' they sang, as bemused guests around the hotel coffee shop looked on.

Members of Congress continue to suggest that President Joe Biden should be removed under the 25th Amendment to the Constitution—even after a psychiatrist who led a national movement to oust his predecessor called cognitive decline “normal.”

Special counsel Robert Hur issued a report earlier this month finding that Biden “willfully retained and disclosed classified materials,” but recommending against prosecution because of Biden’s “diminished faculties in advancing age and his sympathetic demeanor.”

“It is sad that it got to this point, but America desperately needs capable leadership in the White House,” Sen. Mike Lee, R-Utah, told The Daily Signal in a written statement. “The safety of our country is at stake. Democrats who constantly strategized to remove Donald Trump from office outside of the electoral process seem strangely quiet now that their guy is clearly asleep at the switch.”

Dr. Bandy X. Lee (no relation), a forensic psychiatrist who edited the book “The Dangerous Case of Donald Trump: 37 Psychiatrists and Mental Health Experts Assess a President,” last week defended Biden in light of the Hur report.

“Cognitive decline is a normal part of aging,” Lee told The Daily Signal, and “very high levels of cognitive decline can be present without affecting fitness for duty.”

China has backed the right of the Palestinian people to use armed force to combat Israel's occupation of their land, calling it an "an inalienable right well founded in international law".

The comments on Thursday were made by the Chinese ambassador to the UN, Zhang Jun, during the fourth day of public hearings held by the International Court of Justice (ICJ) in The Hague, Netherlands.

Representatives of 52 countries are addressing the ICJ on Israel's decades-long occupation of Palestinian land.

Beijing’s envoy said there were "various people (who) freed themselves from colonial rule" and they could use "all available means, including armed struggle".

He described the Palestinian use of armed resistance as legitimate and not an act of terrorism.

"The struggle waged by peoples for their liberation, right to self-determination, including armed struggle against colonialism, occupation, aggression, domination against foreign forces should not be considered terror acts," Zhang Jun told the court.

The acclaimed CBS reporter who was investigating the Hunter Biden laptop scandal before she was fired last week had her personal files seized by the network in an “unprecedented” move, sources told The Post on Thursday.

Catherine Herridge — who is the middle of a First Amendment case being closely watched by journalists nationwide — was among 20 CBS News staffers let go as part of a larger purge of hundreds of employees at parent company Paramount Global.

Her firing had stunned co-workers, but the network’s decision to hold on to her personal materials, along with her work laptop where she may have other confidential info, has left many staffers shaken, according to insiders.

“It’s so extraordinary,” a source familiar with the situation told The Post, noting that the files — which are presumptively now the property of CBS News — most likely contain confidential material from Herridge’s stints at both Fox and CBS.

Israel’s Minister for the Advancement of Women, May Golan, has yet again displayed disregard for Palestinian life by expressing pride in the “ruins” of the besieged Gaza Strip, adding that every Palestinian baby will in future, “tell their grandchildren what the Jews did.”

“I am personally proud of the ruins of Gaza,” Golan said in a speech in the Israeli parliament (Knesset) on Wednesday.

“And that every baby, even 80 years from now, will tell their grandchildren what the Jews did…,” she added.

Addressing far-left politician Oser Cassif, Golan said, “You can keep dreaming that we will end the war without victory.”

She went on to say, “We are not ashamed to say that we want to see the Israeli soldiers, the holy heroes of ours, catching (Yahya) Sinwar and his terrorists by their ears, and dragging them all across the Gaza Strip, on their way to the dungeons of the Prison Authority …Or in the best scenario, to a coffin.”

Claire's Observations:  Minister Golan, a word, please.  The Israeli stance of conflating" self-defense" with " genocide", is really not working very well at all.  The optics of the assassinations of primarily women and kids, just.... kind of bite.  But I do have a reasonable proposal for you; why don't you start taking a film crew into Gaza, along with a machine gun, and start blasting away at every Gazan woman and child still breathing?!?  You could create your own YouTube channel, and make some good money off those wretched pieces of work, who would love to watch this; such a deal!!!

But Minister Golan, what if, even with massive US military and financial aid.... Israel is unable to contain either Hamas or Hezbollah militarily?!?  Then what?!?  And if Russia and China step in militarily, because their ally Iran is getting hit with strikes, what happens?!?  And yes, Israel is a nuclear armed country; but Israel can only use such weapons at a great distance, because of the danger of fallout hitting densely populated areas of Israel; so even your "deterrence" is a double-edged sword.

Minister Golan, it is high time that a viable Palestine is created, because, ironically, this may wind up insuring Israel's future as a country.  What is happening now, may very well undermine your country's future.

A continued Israeli offensive on Gaza could kill more than 80,000 people in the next six months, according to new health data published this week.

The report, which presents the projected health impacts of the war until 6 August 2024, was authored by researchers from the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine, the Health in Humanitarian Crises Centre and the John Hopkins Center for Humanitarian Health.

The researchers said their estimates are based "on a range of publicly available data from the current and past Gaza crises, data from similar crises, and peer-reviewed published research".

"Over the next six months we project that, in the absence of epidemics, 6,550 excess deaths would occur under the ceasefire scenario, climbing to 58,260 under the status quo scenario and 74,290 under the escalation scenario," the Gaza Projections project wrote in the report.

This catastrophic death toll could increase further if epidemics occur – a likely scenario given that Gaza’s health, water and sanitation infrastructure has been severely destroyed by Israeli bombing

Claire's Observations:  "Hey, THAT'S THE PLAN!!"  - Official Knesset souse.

Dr. James Smith saw the same scene several times a day: residents of the Gaza Strip carrying casualties from Israeli bombings, wrapped in blankets, and laying them on the hospital floor. "Until we unwrapped the blankets, we didn't know if the person inside was wounded or killed," he said in an interview 10 days after he returned to London. He worked in Gaza as a volunteer in late December and early January.

"People also brought the dead, so their deaths would be recorded and they would be buried," he said. "And because they are usually found among the rubble, they're all covered in dust."

Smith came to Gaza as part of an emergency medical delegation jointly organized by Medical Aid for Palestinians (MAP), based in London, and the International Rescue Committee (IRC). Dozens of medical personnel like him enter Gaza each week. The volunteers all go back to their countries with the same conclusion. Out of all the war zones where they've volunteered, including Syria and Ukraine, it's in Gaza where their ability to save lives is the most constrained.

Smith, an emergency medicine specialist, has also worked for Doctors Without Borders. But "the catastrophe in Gaza is worse than anything I've seen in the past," he said. This merely increased his motivation to return to Gaza despite the constant frustration.

Claire's Observations:  The people serving here, as medical volunteers, are absolute heroes to me.  When the dust ultimately settles in Gaza and beyond, it will be the testimony of people like this, who will show the current government of Israel in  all its true and criminal nature.

$14 Billion US Aid Package for Israel Crafted to Prepare for ‘Multi-Front War,’ Not Just Gaza

The $14 billion is included in the $95 billion foreign military aid that was recently passed by the Senate by Dave DeCamp February 22, 2024 at 1:26 pm ET Categories NewsTags Israel, Palestine

The $14 billion in additional military aid for Israel that President Biden is seeking was designed not just for operations in Gaza but also to prepare Israel for a “multi-front war,” The Times of Israel has reported.

A senior Biden administration official told The Jewish Telegraphic Agency that the $14 billion is “for Israel to defend itself in a multi-front war and to be sure it can deter a multi-front war.”

Israel has been escalating airstrikes in Lebanon against Hezbollah, though many strikes have killed civilians. The fire across the border risks a full-blown war, and there are no signs tensions will ease anytime soon. Israeli officials have been threatening to invade if Hezbollah doesn’t move back from the Israel-Lebanon border.

US officials have acknowledged to The Washington Post that Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu might view war in Lebanon as key to his political survival, as polling has shown Israelis want him to step down after the current conflict.

Israel also appears to be attempting to provoke Iran as several members of Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) have been killed by Israeli airstrikes in Syria since October 7. According to The New York Times, Israel was also behind a covert attack on two natural gas pipelines inside Iran.

The $14 billion is packed into the $95 billion foreign military aid bill that passed through the Senate but has yet to be brought to the House floor for a vote as Republicans are still looking for a border deal. The legislation also includes about $60 billion for Ukraine, and $4.8 billion for Taiwan and other spending in the Asia Pacific.

The $14 billion for Israel is on top of the $3.8 billion the country receives from the US each year. According to The Times of Israel, It includes $5.2 billion to go toward Israeli missile defense, which is seen as a critical necessity for a war with Hezbollah.

Another $3.5 billion will replenish munitions Israel has used in Gaza. The US will use $4 billion US to refill its own stockpiles, including a contingency stockpile located in Israel that the Israeli military has been allowed to use for its operations in Gaza.

Claire's Observations:  I cannot remain silent, when the government which allegedly represents me, enables Israeli genocide, and land-grabs against which I must protest, peacefully and legally.

Regime change; genocide; and territorial expansion are the goals of Israel's policies here.  But what if Israel's military, even with vast amount of US resources and weapons, cannot win this militarily?!?  What if Russia and China join the fray?  Will they be on the side of the Israeli agenda, or on the side of pan-Arab interests (including that tantalizing huge oil and natural gas reserve recently discovered, just off of Gaza's coastline?!?  Were I a US/Israeli logistics planner, these are the kinds of questions which would  keep me up at night!!

President Biden has just upped the ante on Ukraine aid while continuing to press House Republicans to approve the gargantuan war spending bill and its $61 billion for Kiev. Even while it's clear Ukraine forces are being beaten back from the front lines, NBC reports this week that Biden is now closer to approving longer-range missile systems, which are capable of striking deeper into Crimea and Russian territory

"After months of requests from Ukrainian officials, the Biden administration is working toward providing Ukraine with powerful new long-range ballistic missiles, according to two U.S. officials," the report says.

Claire's Observations.  To Resident By-di Bye and his minions:  this is way too little and way too late, to forestall a Russian victory here.  If utterly zero sense can be talked into Zelinsky's brain about suing for peace, and making the best possible deal for Ukraine right now, he is no longer an honest broker for the Ukrainian people (if in fact he ever actually was one.)

The more weapons given to Ukraine and  introduced at this juncture, landing far further inside Russia territory, may well mean a direct US  confrontation with Russia, which would be horrific for the US right now.  The US  government doesn't have the troop strength; the weaponry; the money; or the manufacturing to insure any kind of successful outcome against Russia, and  these issues will take far too long to remedy to look at "continuing this war into the future."

Beef’s footprint is especially outsized. For one, there are roughly 1.5 billion cows on the planet. About 13 million square kilometers (3.2 billion acres) of land is used to raise all that cattle, along with buffalo, and their food — one-quarter of all land used for agriculture, according to a 2017 paper in Global Food Security. Then there’s the methane. Cows and other ruminants have a unique digestive system that allows them to turn grass into fuel, but in the process their special gut bacteria releases methane, a greenhouse gas 80 times more potent than carbon dioxide in the short term.

I have a big problem with the anti-beef push.

There is a reason cowboys herded cows in the old West, and why the African Maasai and many other peoples still do, and why beef cattle are chosen when other crops would in theory produce a much higher yield per acre.

Cattle can be raised in harsh regions which are far too unforgiving for other farm produce.

The suggestion raising beef is taking far more land than other food production, with the implicit suggestion that land dedicated to beef production could be repurposed for other produce, in my opinion verges on a lie by omission. I’m sure some cattle land could be used for other purposes, but a lot of it couldn’t.

In places where beef production is the only option, abandoning beef would mean abandoning food – dramatically reducing the total food available for people to eat.

In a world where just under 800 million people go to bed hungry every night, attacking the supply of food in the name of the alleged climate emergency in my opinion should be viewed as a crime against humanity.

On February 13, the U.S. House of Representatives overwhelmingly passed the Frederick Douglass Trafficking Victims Prevention and Protection Reauthorization Act with a vote of 414-11. The bipartisan legislation, authored by Rep. Chris Smith (R-NJ), will reauthorize the Trafficking Victims Protection Act of 2000 – which expired in 2021 – and provide approximately $1 billion in funding over five years for programs that combat the scourge of human trafficking.

Among the measures included in the comprehensive legislation are educational grants to provide situational awareness training and prevention for elementary and secondary students; funding reauthorization for the International Megan’s Law and Angel Watch programs; and authorization for programs that support survivors’ employment, housing, and education.

Rep. Smith made clear how important this legislation is in the fight against modern-day slavery. “This critical legislation reauthorizes funding for FY2024 through 2028—a total of five years—to continue current year enacted appropriation and authorization levels to enhance programs, strengthen laws, and add accountability in our whole-of-government effort to protect women and children from human trafficking,” he said.

In recent weeks, Catholic leaders in the United States have voiced their support for the Frederick Douglass Act, in line with Pope Francis’s “call to take action, to mobilize all our resources in combating trafficking and restoring full dignity to those who have been its victims.”

Earlier this month, the U.S. Conference of Catholic Bishops’ Committee on Migration endorsed the Frederick Douglass Act and called on Congress “to pass the bill without further delay.”

As Bishop Mark J. Seitz, chairman of the U.S. Conference of Catholic Bishops’ Committee on Migration, said, “It is incumbent upon all of us to unite in promoting efforts that prevent the evil of human trafficking. I join our Holy Father in inviting the faithful and all people of good will to uphold and affirm human dignity and grow in solidarity with those who are vulnerable to exploitation and have been impacted by this terrible evil of modern-day slavery.”

On February 12, days before the bill’s passage in the House, two organizations founded by religious sisters – the Alliance to End Human Trafficking and The National Advocacy Center of the Sisters of the Good Shepherd – hosted a panel that called on Congress to pass the Frederick Douglass Act.

The online event, titled “Breaking the Link Between Human Trafficking and Forced Migration: Trafficking Victims Protection Reauthorization Act,” highlighted that migrants are often at a high risk of falling victim to human trafficking. As panel moderator Sister Ann Scholz, SSND, Ph.D. said, “Desperate people become vulnerable to human traffickers.”

Noting that the Frederick Douglass Act would “expand prevention efforts” and deter “forced migration,” Director of Advocacy for the Alliance to End Human Trafficking Marilyn Zigmund Luke said, “This is really a three-pronged approach at getting at not only trafficking within the United States, but really getting at what’s happening within the home countries of people so that they will not migrate.

Color us not surprised, but another one of the Biden administration's "visions" for forcing people to own electric vehicles isn't working out exactly as planned.

This time it deals with supply chain logistics, with Bloomberg reporting this week that in the year and a half since passing the Inflation Reduction Act, automakers are finding out the hard way that the rigorous criteria for manufacturing batteries using materials from the United States and its free-trade allies could render them cost-inefficient compared to global competitors.

Companies like Tesla are instead taking advantage of a temporary shift in the rules to stock up with cheaper batteries from countries like China.

The Biden administration's new rules will all but cut out China from the supply chain, however, which will make it tougher to find affordable metal suppliers.

This, in turn, will threaten President Biden's goal to boost the domestic electric vehicle market. Bloomberg writes that mining companies and labor unions insist that without curtailing the influx of cheaper, Chinese-subsidized materials, the U.S. can't develop a competitive EV market.

Meanwhile, the higher costs are driving automakers away from EVs. And as battery material requirements are set to double by 2027, fulfilling these mandates will be increasingly difficult, putting Biden's ambitious EV strategy at risk.

The number of Chinese nationals entering the United States illegally has surged in recent times, with the latest data from the San Diego sector showing a staggering 500 percent surge so far this year compared to the same period a year ago.

As the nation remains gripped by an illegal immigration crisis of historic proportions, there’s been an exceptionally high increase in the number of Chinese nationals—especially military-aged men—who have unlawfully crossed the U.S.-Mexico border.

Some border patrol officials and others have warned this poses a national security risk because, among those simply seeking a better life, there may be those with links to the Chinese military.

Brandon Judd, the head of the Border Patrol union, recently warned about a sharp rise in the number of military-aged Chinese men crossing the southern border illegally, saying that he believes some of them may be spies working on behalf of China’s communist regime to “infiltrate” the United States.

And now, Jason Owens, the chief of the U.S. Border Patrol (USBP), has revealed that, so far this fiscal year, the San Diego sector has seen over 20,000 apprehensions of Chinese nationals, over five times the number in the comparable period last year.

In FY24, San Diego Sector has made +140K apprehensions with +20K of them being from China (a more than 500% increase compared to last FYTD),” Mr. Owens wrote in a post on X

Claire's Observations:  This massive influx of illegal Chinese immigrants would not be happening, except for the express invitation and permission of Bi-Di-Bye's Handlers.
