When Ben Stiller walked into the office of Ukraine’s president, Volodymyr Zelenskiy, in June, he embraced the wartime leader telling him, “You’re my hero.”

Stiller is one in a line of stars from the entertainment world who made the long journey to Kyiv to meet Zelenskiy – himself a former actor and comedian. A journey that involves an overnight train journey from Poland as commercial flights – let alone private jets – cannot fly in Ukraine’s airspace for safety reasons.

Before Stiller came the actor Sean Penn, who has visited three times since the invasion, and is making a documentary about the war, in which Zelenskiy will no doubt feature.

German tanks rolling into Ukraine to fight Russian troops would have seemed an unbelievable scenario given the dreadful history of World War Two. Yet that scenario is where the NATO proxy war against Moscow is headed. The development has the disturbing echo of Operation Barbarossa when the Nazi Wehrmacht launched its offensive on the Soviet Union in 1941.

Instead of Panzer Tiger tanks, we will see German Marder “fighting vehicles” trundling across Ukraine. These weapons are called “light tanks” but the bigger push is for Leopard 2 main battle tanks to be supplied to Ukrainian NeoNazi forces against Russian lines.

Just two days before the Orthodox Christmas on January 7, U.S. President Joe Biden and German Chancellor Olaf Scholz announced a deal in which they would supply Bradley and Marder armored infantry carriers to Ukraine, as well as another battery of U.S.-made Patriot missiles.

That announcement followed French President Emmanuel Macron declaring that France was going to supply AMX-10 RC light tanks to Ukraine. Macron’s tone was notably bellicose, saying that France would back the Kiev regime until victory is achieved.

Traitor Joe Biden and Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas just went to the southwest border not to announce measures to stop the Camp of the Saints invasion of illegal-aliens, but instead to launch a program to import more. Future “migrants” will be “paroled”—meaning free to enter the American Heartland and cause trouble—while still in their home countries. That way .they can enter the country “legally.” The incompetence would be mind boggling…if only Biden and Mayorkas were incompetent. But they aren’t. They are willfully aiding and abetting an invasion. Texas and Arizona have tried to build their own border barriers. But the Biden Regime’s hypocritical reaction suggests that the states’ only options are openly defying it for ignoring its constitutional duty to protect the states from invasionor secession.

Mayorkas, who, under Barack Hussein Obama, sold visas the way Don Vito Corleone sold wartime gas rationing stamps, was clear about one thing. Traitor Joe’s Regime won’t discourage more mass illegal immigration. It wants more. Though Texas Governor Greg Abbott delivered a letter to Biden that demands that he do his job and stop the invasion, Mayorkas explained what Biden planned with the parole program: “What we're trying to do is ... incentivize a safe and orderly way and cut out the smuggling organizations.”

Presidential campaign confidant and top Republican political operative Roger Stone says recently resurfaced tapes of 37th President Richard Nixon suggest that the former leader of the free world knew that the Central Intelligence Agency was involved in the assassination of 35th President John F. Kennedy in 1963.

The longtime Trump ally’s assertion came in response to a taped conversation between President Nixon and former CIA Director Robert Helms which took place around lunchtime on October 8, 1971, in which President Nixon stated:

“The whole ‘who shot John’ [JFK] thing, is Eisenhower to blame? Is Johnson to blame? Is Kennedy to blame? Is Nixon to blame? Etcetera, etcetera, etcetera, may become, may become, not by me, but may become a very, very vigorous issue.”

Nixon continued, “If it does, uh, I need to know what is necessary to protect our inquiries, the intelligence gathering, and the ‘Dirty Tricks Department.’ And I will protect it. Hey listen, I’ve done more than my share of lying to protect it. I will go, I believe it’s totally right to do it.”

A moisture conveyor belt of atmospheric rivers continues to pound storm-battered California as the latest system could be the most severe yet. Power outages plague Northern California, as a dozen people have died across the Golden State in the last two weeks after. At least 3,000 people were evacuated on Sunday.

The National Weather Service described the bomb cyclone, a hurricane-force low-pressure system, and an atmospheric river as the "most potent" yet. Forecasters said the "relentless parade" of "atmospheric rivers" will peak Monday into Tuesday.

Senator Angus King said the US should not put a timetable on support for Ukraine and remain involved in the war until “Putin is out.” Comparing the current situation with Russia to the Allies’ failure to stop Nazi Germany before World War II, the Maine senator insisted on more Western aid for Kiev.

During a virtual press conference following his recent visit to the Ukrainian capital, King was asked how long the United States should continue its role in the conflict, replying that support for Kiev should be indefinite.

“I believe we should remain there until Putin is out,” he said.

It is unclear if King was calling for Putin’s removal from power in a coup d’etat, or merely for Russian troops to vacate all Ukrainian-claimed territory. The two warring parties maintain conflicting territorial claims and King acknowledged the war is now in a stalemate, but he nonetheless claimed the conflict would not be a “20-year struggle” like America’s experience in Afghanistan.

On Monday, January 9, the Israeli Minister of National Security, Itamar Ben Gvir, banned the display of the Palestinian flag in all public spaces.

This order is one in a recent string of escalating attacks on Palestinians by the newly formed ultra-rightwing Israeli government.

The Israeli minister wrote on his personal Twitter account that he “directed the Israel Police to enforce the prohibition of flying any PLO flag that shows identification with a terrorist organization from the public sphere and to stop any incitement against the State of Israel. We will fight terrorism and the encouragement of terrorism with all our might!”

For Palestinians, this is only the latest step in Israel’s execution of its Jewish nation-state law, which creates a legal framework for cementing Jewish supremacism in Palestine.

Rape trees, river floaters, skeletal remains, and fentanyl candy. The new vernacular of illegal immigration is an indictment of the U.S. Department of Homeland Security’s (DHS) loss of operational control along the U.S.-Southern border. A consequence of this is the transformation of cartel insurgencies into well-formed armies that recruit and employ uniformed soldiers, have supporting intelligence operations, and control terrain. The challenge now confronting state and federal law enforcement is no longer how to deter an insurgency; it’s how to defeat an army.

Schizophrenia is pretty massively horrible. Two decades ago, a behavioral geneticist told me not to use “schizophrenic” is the common but medically wrong sense of “having two different personalities” — people with schizophrenia and their loved ones have enough problems without you confusing other people. I was going to reply snarkily, but then I realized she was right.

So why doesn’t natural selection get rid of schizophrenia for us? One theory that has been around for awhile is that the relatives of schizophrenics may tend to have some advantages, especially in creativity.

A new study of Danish youth finds that future schizophrenics tend to be good in language classes and bad in math classes.

The Justice Department is reviewing a batch of potentially classified documents found in the Washington office space of President Joe Biden’s former institute, the White House said Monday.

Special counsel to the president Richard Sauber said “a small number of documents with classified markings” were discovered as Biden’s personal attorneys were clearing out the offices of the Penn Biden Center, where the president kept an office after he left the vice presidency in 2017 until shortly before he launched his 2020 presidential campaign in 2019. The documents were found on Nov. 2, 2022, in a “locked closet” in the office, Sauber said.

Sauber said the attorneys immediately alerted the White House Counsel’s office, who notified the National Archives and Records Administration — which took custody of the documents the next day.

From a comfortable red Senate seat in the great midwestern state of Indiana, Republican Sen. Mike Braun formally announced a new career goal this week.

According to Fox News, Braun filed the necessary paperwork last year to mount a bid to be Indiana’s chief executive. Braun hopes to replace the term-limited Republican Gov. Eric Holcomb.

While Braun’s political career ambitions have been applauded by his colleagues, his potential exit from the upper chamber leaves the possibility for a wild Republican primary showdown in 2024 to fill his vacated seat.

With the long list of deals that Kevin McCarthy made so he could advance to become Speaker of the House, a number of House committee chairmanships are going to conservative members, and one important one saw Rep. Dan Crenshaw lose his Homeland Security Committee Chairman bid to conservative Mark Green.

Crenshaw, who made a splash as a conservative when he first got elected to Congress from the 2nd District in Texas in 2018, has since made some turns toward the establishment that have annoyed many conservatives.

In fact, during the four-day Speaker vote fight, Crenshaw actually said the conservative holdouts who were seeking concessions from McCarthy were “traitors.”

California Democrats have begun jockeying for the Senate seat currently held by 89-year old Sen. Dianne Feinstein.

The incumbent, who has federal office for more than thirty years, often struggles to express herself fluidly in Senate proceedings. Feinstein has been closely guarded by her staffers in a manner which has spurred questions of cognitive decline.

Feinstein — who would be 91 if she secured and began a seventh term in the senate — is expected to retire, although she’s been hesitant to announce her intentions.

The Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) say the Fisher-Price Rock 'n Play Sleepers, which were initially recalled in April 2019, have now been linked to more than 100 infant deaths.

The initial recall was issued almost four years ago after it was reported that at least 30 infants had rolled from their back onto their stomach or side while unrestrained in the sleeper, or under other circumstances.

The number has since risen by a further 70 deaths after parents who may have had the sleeper in the ten years between when the product was launched in 2009 and the 2019 recall came forward to state how their infants died in the sleepers.

In rare good news for the planet, Earth’s ozone layer is on track to recover completely within decades, as ozone-depleting chemicals are phased out across the world, according to a new United Nations-backed assessment.

The ozone layer protects the planet from harmful ultraviolet rays. But since the late 1980s, scientists have sounded the alarm about a hole in this shield, caused by ozone-depleting substances including chlorofluorocarbons, dubbed CFCs, often found in refrigerators, aerosols and solvents.

International cooperation helped stem the damage. The use of CFCs has decreased 99% since the Montreal Protocol went into force in 1989, which began the phase-out of those and other ozone-harming chemicals, according to the assessment by a panel of experts published on Monday.

If global policies stay in place, the ozone layer is expected to recover to 1980 levels by 2040 for most of the world, the assessment found. For polar areas, the timeframe for recovery is longer: 2045 over the Arctic and 2066 over the Antarctic.

Panic and fear spread throughout the special operations community at Fort Bragg and Fayetteville, North Carolina as CID and FBI agents investigated members of 3rd Special Forces Group and Delta Force who allegedly were involved in drug and in one instance human trafficking, according to nearly a dozen current and former military sources.

The arrests began Thursday, Jan. 5 and culminated with a 100% recall and accountability formation for 1st Battalion, 3rd Special Forces Group yesterday.

It is unknown when the investigation into drug and human trafficking in the Fort Bragg area began, but it is known that the FBI became involved in investigating the deaths of Timothy Dumas and Delta Force operator Billy Lavigne in 2020 when both were found shot to death at a training site on Bragg.

Last week's arrests began with investigators receiving more evidence after an undercover law enforcement officer posing as an underage girl helped arrest a member of 1st Battalion, 3rd Special Forces Group back in December. That individual was known to moonlight as a bouncer at a bar in Southern Pines frequented by the Special Forces community, a military source close to the situation explained to Connecting Vets. The Green Beret is alleged to have been pimping underaged girls to the Special Forces community at drug-fueled parties in Southern Pines.
