"We're so self-important. So arrogant. Everybody's going to save something now. Save the trees, save the bees, save the whales, save the snails. And the supreme arrogance? Save the planet! Are these people kidding? Save the planet? We don't even know how to take care of ourselves; we haven't learned how to care for one another. We're gonna save the fuckin' planet? . . . And, by the way, there's nothing wrong with the planet in the first place. The planet is fine. The people are fucked! Compared with the people, the planet is doin' great. It's been here over four billion years . . . The planet isn't goin' anywhere, folks. We are! We're goin' away. Pack your shit, we're goin' away. And we won't leave much of a trace. Thank God for that. Nothing left. Maybe a little Styrofoam. The planet will be here, and we'll be gone. Another failed mutation; another closed-end biological mistake." -- George Carlin
When LaTunja Caster started working at the Olin Corp. chemical plant outside of McIntosh, Alabama, she had no idea that asbestos was used in the production process. But when she became a union safety representative around 2007, she started to pay attention. In certain parts of the plant, “you would see it all the time,” she said. “You definitely breathed it in.”
Six other people who worked in the plant, some with experiences as recent as this year, echoed her recollections about exposure to the potent mineral that has long been known to cause deadly cancers like mesothelioma and a chronic lung condition called asbestosis that can make it difficult to breathe.
Though designated asbestos workers were given protective gear and had special training, electricians, millwrights and general maintenance staff got no comparable protection even though they, too, were exposed, they told ProPublica. The same was true of some contract workers.
Following Tuesday’s decision, Oregonians will no longer be able to purchase ammunition magazines carrying 10 or more rounds. This new law will go into effect starting on Thursday.
In order for someone to be granted a permit allowing them to acquire a firearm, they must successfully complete a safety course and pass a background investigation. The legislation eliminates the so-called Charleston Loophole. It is a loophole in federal law that permits the transfer of weapons to an individual after three days, even if a background check is incomplete. Transfers will not be allowed in Oregon after Thursday until the background investigation is finished.
U.S. District Judge Karin Immergut did not completely overturn the permit-to-purchase requirement as gun rights activists had hoped. She also denied a temporary restraining order which would have blocked a separate provision requiring a permit to purchase a firearm. However, the State will postpone the permit requirement for 30-days to give state agencies time to fully implement the new registration system.
Justice Samuel Alito joked about Black Santa, children in Klan robes and dating websites as the Supreme Court heard arguments Monday in a case weighing a web designer's bid to avoid working on same-sex weddings because she is a conservative evangelical Christian.
Web designer Lorie Smith of Colorado opposes same-sex marriage on religious grounds and is seeking an exemption from a state law that outlaws discrimination on the basis of sexual orientation in public accommodations.
Smith sued the state in 2016, arguing that she has a free speech right under the Constitution’s First Amendment to reject requests by same-sex couples because it conflicts with her own views.
During arguments Monday, which included a series of tough hypothetical questions directed at both sides, Alito asked whether a Black Santa at the mall is obligated to take a picture with a child dressed up in a Ku Klux Klan outfit even if he doesn’t want to.
California made news last week when Governor Gavin Newsom’s reparations committee called for giving descendants of slaves (meaning all black people in their view) $223,000 each due to “housing discrimination.” Now some Democrats in New York want to follow California’s example.
According to a report from Fox News, a claim made by Washington Post columnist Karen Attiah says Tiffany Cross, the MSNBC host of "The Cross Connection," was fired because of racism.
The Washington Post reported Cross was named in 2020 as the host of the Saturday morning show. Cross had been the bureau chief for BET Networks in D.C. and an associate producer at CNN. The show earned high ratings as a weekend political outlet.
Fox News notes Attiah stated in a Friday column that firing Cross was "a reminder that the rug could be pulled out from under [black journalists] at any time."
Cross did not hold back from making inflammatory comments. On her Saturday morning broadcast, she often made incendiary remarks against Trump supporters starting the second American "civil war," a derogatory comment about the state of Florida, and the acquittal and name-calling of Kyle Rittenhouse. She did include black Senator Tim Scott, a Republican from South Carolina, in her negative comments.
Foreign Affairs Minister Mélanie Joly says Canada is planning to increase its number of warships in the Taiwan Strait as a message to China that the waters are not its national property.
“We will continue to enforce the international rules-based order when it comes to the Taiwan Strait. And that’s why also we had a frigate going through the Taiwan Strait this summer, along with the Americans, [and] we’re looking to have more frigates going through it,” Joly told the Financial Times.
“We need to make sure that the question of the Taiwan Strait is clear and that it remains an international strait.”
The Taiwan Strait is a stretch of international waters less than 200 kilometres wide separating Taiwan from mainland China. Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesman Wang Wenbin had said at a regular news briefing in Beijing on June 13: “There is no such thing as international waters in international maritime law. … Relevant countries claim that the Taiwan Strait is in international waters with the aim to manipulate the Taiwan question and threaten China’s sovereignty.”
Breakdowns in global trade and credit call for money that doesn’t depend on trust. Bitcoin is the modern answer for international economics...
Two forces have dominated the globe economically and politically for the last 75 years: globalization and trust-based money. However, the time for both of these forces has passed, and their waning will bring about a great reset of the global order.
But this is not the global, Marxist kind of Great Reset promoted by Klaus Schwab and those who attend Davos. This is an emergent, market-driven reset characterized by a multipolar world and a new monetary system.
A scientist carrying out classified work onboard the USS Hampton nuclear submarine in the late 1990s says the sub was 'buzzed' byan unidentified object traveling underwater faster than the speed of sound.
In a YouTube interview with UFO researcher Chris Leto, scientist Bob McGwier said that the sub was "running deep and fast" when it was passed at extremely high speed by an object. According to McGwier, the encounter was confirmed by a member of the crew who was shocked at the speed of the Unidentified Submerged Object (USO), Daily Star reports.
"We were under way and all of a sudden I hear the sound. It’s really strange because it’s clear that what is going on is something is whizzing by us and it’s moving so fast I just can’t believe it," said McGwier, adding "This thing blew by us like we were standing still."
"A person with knowledge of onboard systems came out and said ‘this goddam thing is going faster than the speed of sound underwater – but that’s faster than the speed of sound in air'," he continued.

A jury convicted former President Donald Trump’s company on multiple tax fraud charges on Tuesday in a New York court.
After deliberating for one day, the jury delivered a guilty verdict on all 17 counts, which included tax fraud and other financial crimes, against the Trump Organization. Prosecutors alleged that executives at the company devised a scheme to avoid paying taxes that included "indirect" payments made to top officers for items like school tuition, apartments and cars. The verdict came after a three-year investigation by prosecutors. Trump was not personally on trial, but prosecutors alleged during the proceedings that he knew of the fraud being committed at the company, a charge he has denied.
The Trump Organization was charged with scheming to defraud, conspiracy, criminal tax fraud and falsifying business records. The guilty verdicts mean it will now face a $1.6 million fine.
Webmaster addition: The Democrats will use this to smear Donald Trump, but the fact is that Donald was not implicated in the fraud and was not charged in this case.
The FBI is "cooking the books" to portray supporters of former President Trump as the nation's No. 1 domestic terrorism threat, contend critics.
Newsweek featured a story Tuesday titled "FBI Ramps Up Spending to Fight MAGA Terrorism," referencing the "Make America Great Again" theme of Trump's term in office. The magazine said that according to FBI documents and government specialists, the bureau "is conducting three times as many domestic terrorism investigations than it was five years ago, with 70 percent of its open cases focused on 'civil unrest' and anti-government activity."
More than one-third of those cases, 850, are related to the Jan. 6, 2021, Capitol riot.
A senior FBI officials told Newsweek the bureau "isn't partisan per se, though it finds itself investigating mostly MAGA and related political activity as domestic terrorism."
At the height of the worldwide vaccine mandates, the people of Europe and Australia were out in the streets protesting against global tyranny in mid-September 2021. As the pushback against the Covid-19 government overreach was demonstrated en masse by citizens around the globe that were sick and tired of all the lockdown and senseless restrictions over an increasingly exposed fake virus and kill shots that had thousands already that “Died Suddenly,” and the world population saw through the fake science bullshit, insultingly calling it “Sudden Adult Death Syndrome,” (SADS) as the year came to a close, the wag-the-dog controllers switched into misdirection high gears demonizing Putin for building up Russian forces at the Ukraine border.
Like clockwork, the evil genocidal murderers atop today’s predatory food chain began focusing world attention away from their exposed Covid-19 depopulation agenda due to the growing worldwide pushback, and began its next 24/7 round of make believe propaganda in defense of Ukrainian dancing queen Zelensky as the next Jewish King David bravely fighting the giant Goliath Russian bear, “standing up for democracy around the world” against the ruthless Vlad the Bad Moscow invader. The Western propaganda machine plunged into overtime again spewing out more lies to mind control the same duped, deaf and dumbed down masses that fell for the pandemic plague, this time to start sending money to the most corrupt elite’s “devil’s playground” on their grand chessboard planet.
For the first time in quite a while, COVID-19 rates are up again.
Many believe this is evidence of widespread infections, and action must be taken.
Just The News says, “For the first time in months, California’s 7-day COVID-19 test positivity rate reached 10.8% over the last week, indicating the increased spread of the virus as state officials report a rise in COVID-19 hospitalizations.”
Although the positivity rate is lower than it was a year ago, the state expresses concerns over hospitalization. Per Just The News, “While the current positivity rate is still significantly lower than the positivity rate during the peak of last year’s winter surge, health officials are warning that the state is already seeing an uptick in hospitalizations. ”
