Baltimore City Implodes: Police Force Collapses, Only Three Officers Patrolled Major District

How it started.

How it's going...

The radical leftists in control of Baltimore City Hall have plunged the metro area just north of Washington, DC, into apocalyptic levels. We advise readers to entirely avoid the metro area as violent crime spirals out of control.

Failed social justice reforms, defunding the police, and widespread mistrust of the police have resulted in a skeleton police force that will no longer be able to protect residents in some regions of the city.

Fox Baltimore reported last Tuesday that only three police officers were on duty for the Southern Police District, which includes more than 61,000 residents.

Several radio transmissions of a police dispatcher pleaded for additional officers as 911 calls came pouring in. At least ten calls went unanswered in a matter of minutes.

"You are endangering the lives of police officers on duty and what that does is endanger the lives of the citizens," said Betsy Smith with the National Police Association.

Democrats should be ashamed of themselves for pushing failed social justice reforms and defunding the police that have left some areas of the metro area ungovernable as gangs roam free. Meanwhile, Democrats are obsessed with attempting to strip Second Amendment rights from residents, jeopardizing their ability to defend themselves.

"This catastrophic failure is a direct result of WOKE policies and extremely poor leadership from the Mayor. Baltimore is now seeing the results of the unending war on the police in Baltimore City. The failure to support the police is a total failure on behalf of Baltimore's elected leaders, and this disaster is the end result!" Del. Nino Mangione, R-Baltimore County, said in a statement.

No Democrat will ever be held accountable for failed policies that have unleashed widespread lawlessness across the metro area. Avoid Baltimore as it implodes. Remember, the collapsing police force means more 9-11 calls will go unanswered.

Claire's Observations:  This, folks, is fiscal and community insanity, writ large

The deeper we get into the 2024 presidential election, the more pathological, in the psychological sense, our society appears.

Dozens of anti-Trump protesters gather in Times Square, New York, on July 26, 2017. (Spencer Platt/Getty Images)

You could say this psychopathology comes from both sides, but in truth, most of it is from the left in the form of Trump Derangement Syndrome (TDS), which has gone from mere neurosis to full psychosis.

Those things used to be classifiable in the “Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders” published by the American Psychiatric Association, but that tome, revised every five to seven years, has been so politicized itself as to be useless.

Many therapists these days spend their 50-minute hours calming down patients sleepless from the specter of former President Donald Trump while reassuring them that President Joe Biden will be reelected.

Meanwhile, speaking of TDS, the effort to destroy President Trump—if not through incarceration then through bankruptcy cum the humiliation of selling his real estate—has doubled or quadrupled its pace, and all the more so since he appears to be leading in the swing states.

Forget Hitler. After all, the Israelis are so “mistreating” the “innocent” Gaza “civilians,” at least according to Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-N.Y.), that comparisons to Alois Schicklgruber are all but passé.

The real bête noir of Western civilization is President Trump. (Second place goes to Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.)

“Why” is not the question.

When it comes to TDS, facts are the last thing that matter. It’s about feelings so deep that they approach the primordial. Just ask Letitia James, Fani Willis, Jack Smith, and the vast majority of the employees of mainstream media.

To call our society unhinged is an understatement. The legal system as originally conceived seems no longer to exist. Its current reason for being is to fine President Trump so many millions or billions of dollars that few of us can remember exactly how much it is without having to look it up, multiple times, just to make sure.

No one expresses that better than Mark Steyn, who has suffered financial retribution himself on a smaller, yet significant to mere mortals, scale for having the temerity to question the climate orthodoxy. He wrote the following on SteynOnline on March 19:

“Politics itself is meaningless: cable pundits and radio hosts can yak about polls and policies all they want, but Democrats are pre-litigating the election because they’re pretty confident it'll work for them. As I wrote a month ago, after (Democrat) Judge Engoron’s decision to fine the (Republican) presidential nominee close to half-a-billion dollars: ‘This Judge [Engoron] is taking it to a whole new level. It’s not very difficult, after all, to ramp up the judgment to a number it would be impossible to get a bond for.’

Justice Arthur Engoron’s decisions seem to come not from reasoned legal judgment but straight from the cerebellum, the part of the brain that controls involuntary survival instincts.

We see this survival obsession across the culture as TDS moves from neurosis to psychosis

A twin crisis is unfolding for the Biden administration as the US tax-payer-funded Ukrainian military bombs key crude refineries deep within Russian territory with suicide drones. The administration has pleaded with the Ukranians to halt strikes on Russian energy infrastructure as this will only contribute to tightening global supplies and push energy prices higher, as well as inflation in the US, hurting Biden's re-election odds.

Now for the other crisis that's unfolding in the Middle East: US Vice President Kamala Harris told ABC's "This Week" that a major attack on the Gazan city of Rafah, where more than a million Palestinians have sought refuge, "would be a huge mistake."

"We have been clear in multiple conversations and in every way that any major military operation in Rafah would be a huge mistake," Harris said.

She added: "I have studied the maps - there's nowhere for those folks to go. And we're looking at about a million and a half people in Rafah who are there because they were told to go there."

Harris was asked whether there would be "consequences" from the US on an Israeli counteroffensive in Rafah. She responded, "I am ruling out nothing."

This comes as The Jerusalem Post said Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and other senior officials say an operation into the southern Gazan city is "imminent."

Bloomberg quoted Israeli intelligence that estimate about 5,000 to 8,000 Hamas fighters are in Rafah.

As we've explained before, in the note titled "Terrified" Joe Biden Demands Ukraine Halt Strikes On Russian Refiners As It Is Sending Oil Prices Surging," Biden's foreign policy has been and always been about crude markets.

So, of course, the administration would march the clueless VP onto ABC yesterday to give Israel a public warning about the consequences of launching a counteroffensive against Hamas in Rafah, because it's not entirely about the poor Palestinians, but the prospect of a much wider conflict that could send crude prices into parabolic trajectories, thus reigniting US inflation and continuing to weigh on re-election odds

An army veteran and teacher in Texas has changed his name in order to execute a long-shot presidential bid that he hopes will illustrate the country's dissatisfaction with the two major party's candidates on the ballot in November.

The man formerly called Dustin Ebey, 35, legally changed his name to 'Literally Anybody Else,' the moniker under which he has filed to run for president.

'This isn't about me, 'Literally Anybody Else,' more so as it is an idea. We can do better (than Joe Biden or Donald Trump) out of 300 million people for president,' he told a local ABC affiliate.

He said that he is 'not delusional' about the fact that garnering the tens of thousands of signatures necessary to appear on ballots will be nearly impossible.'

Jill Biden has sparked outrage with claims that Florida is going the way of Nazi Germany and putting democracy itself at risk with its attempts to keep ‘pornographic’ books out of the classroom.

The first lady was dispatched on a whistle-stop trip to California over the weekend as the Biden campaign tries to claw back its poll deficit with the clock ticking down towards November’s general election.

And she attempted to stake out the battleground to her Democrat audience who had paid up to $100,000 a ticket, telling them that Florida’s Parental Rights in Education Act was a step towards dictatorship.

‘History teaches us that democracies don’t disappear overnight,’ she said. 'They disappear slowly, subtly silently. A book ban a court decision, a Don’t Say Gay law.

ABC News anchor Jonathan Karl got more than he bargained for on Sunday when he asked Sen. Marco Rubio (R-Fla.) about potentially being selected as Donald Trump's running mate.

Last Thursday, Rubio said it would be an "honor" to serve as Trump's vice president, a comment that Karl could not understand.

"Really?" he asked Rubio.

Rubio explained that he believes "anyone who is offered the opportunity to serve this country as vice president should be honored by the opportunity to do it." For anyone who loves his country, that's a standard and reasonable answer. And yet, Karl was bewildered that Rubio would take the job — because of Jan. 6, of course.

For nearly two decades, President Joe Biden has told a story about why he devoted his life to politics. He repeated the tale, at the risk of facing criminal charges for lying to a federal agent, while speaking to Special Counsel Robert Hur in October 2023.

Fresh out of law school and working as a clerk at a high-powered Wilmington, Delaware, law firm, Biden, in his telling, was tapped to defend a construction company sued by a 23-year-old welder who "lost part of his penis and one of his testicles" to a fire that broke out when he was working inside a chimney at a Delaware City plant. Thanks to Biden’s shrewd legal defense on the construction company’s behalf, the injured man lost the case.

"I wrote this memo. And son of a b—, it prevailed," Biden told Hur on Oct. 8. "And I looked over at that kid…and I thought, ‘son of a b—, I’m in the wrong business, I'm not made for this.’"

Biden said he was so wracked with guilt that he concocted an excuse to avoid a celebratory lunch with one of the firm’s named partners and walked into the public defender’s office to ask for a job that very day. It’s "the only time I ever lied," Biden told Hur on Oct. 8. Thus began, according to a New York Times report on the special counsel interview, "a career that would one day take him to the White House."

But this story is almost certainly a complete work of fiction.

Against the background of the surging nationalist and populist right-wing parties ahead of the European Union elections in June, political leaders in the old continent have started to ditch many of its failing, crippling environmental policies – mostly under pressure from the great European Farmers’ revolt.

The last victim of this process is the European Union’s flagship policy to restore damaged habitats, called the ‘Nature Law.’

The law is now hanging in the balance, as a vote to pass it on Monday was canceled after Hungary withdrew its support for the bill.

The EU countries’ environment ministers called off the vote after Budapest said it would no longer back the policy.

Judicial Watch has unearthed  88 pages of Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms (ATF) records from the Department of Justice in a Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) lawsuit  that show the CIA played a limited, yet key role in the January 6 events in Washington, DC

According to the documents, the CIA put “several” dog teams on alert near the Capitol and that it assigned “bomb techs” to the House side neighborhood where explosive devices were found at Republican National Committee and Democratic National Committee headquarters.

Judicial Watch forced the release of the records through a June 5, 2023, lawsuit that was filed after the Justice Department failed to respond to an August 10, 2023, FOIA request for records and communications regarding shots being fired inside the U.S. Capitol, as well as requests for Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF) Special Response Team assistance on January 6, 2021.

Adult film star Stormy Daniels asserted Thursday on ABC’s “The View” that supporters of former President Donald Trump who threatened her were “like suicide bombers.”

During a panel discussion on the upcoming hush money trial in New York, co-host Joy Behar said: “Over the course of the scandal, you have been threatened and targeted with death threats and worried about your daughter when I watched the film, you know and now the threats have gone up tenfold.”

“Even Michael Cohen is warning you to be careful. He’s concerned about your safety. So tell me about that. Are you worried too or is it worse?”

Daniels replied: “It’s different. So, in the past, you know, the first time around there was more, like the frequency and the amount was a lot more. It was more, you know, superficial just like calling me names, mostly associated with my job or that I was just a gold digger or somehow profiting off of all this. Which pause for a second, you don’t get paid to be in a documentary, people. like, I did this movie and I didn’t get paid.”

American prosecutors are seeking to put Assange on trial on espionage charges regarding WikiLeaks’s release of classified documents on the US-led wars in Afghanistan and Iraq.

The High Court of Justice in London ruled in favor of WikiLeaks founder Julian Assange on Tuesday, allowing him to continue to challenge the decision on his extradition to the United States in UK courts.

The court, in particular, ruled that:

Assange will not be extradited immediately;

The US has three weeks to give “satisfactory assurances”, namely that the WikiLeaks founder will face a fair trial and that his extradition will not amount to a death sentence;

If assurances are not given, the court will grant leave to appeal without a further hearing;

If assurances are provided, the court will allow the parties an opportunity to make further submissions before it makes a final decision.

In their efforts to draw suspicion away from Ukraine by pinning the blame of the Crocus City Hall terrorist attack on ISIS*, US political strategists who came up with this ploy effectively backed themselves into a corner, said Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova.

Just like the US meddling in Afghanistan in the 1980s paved the way for the rise of al-Qaeda*, the 2003 US invasion and subsequent de facto occupation of Iraq resulted in the creation of ISIS, Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova elaborated in her recent op-ed.

Her assessment was shared by Hasan Abdullah, a political scientist at Global Security & Strategy Institute and expert on Islamic militancy, who noted that the US actions in Afghanistan during the Soviet military intervention produced a “conducive environment which was created for the emergence of many groups” that would later “operate in neighboring countries as well.”

People using popular acne creams were warned recently of the dangers lurking in their favorite products.

A letter sent to the FDA from independent lab Valisure found levels of the carcinogen benzene were more than 12 times the FDA's limit of 2 parts per million.

Benzene is a known carcinogen that has been associated with cancers like lymphoma and leukemia, according to research from the University of California, Berkeley

Despite its dangers, the chemical is omnipresent, and people can be exposed to it in the air from cars burning fuel, second-hand vape smoke and even from cooking over a gas flame, Kelly Dobos, a cosmetic scientist at the University of Cincinnati, told The Cut.

However, it is in more than just the air - as Valisure discovered - benzene is also found in cosmetic products used by millions of people.

The Taliban will soon start stoning women to death in public, the radical group's Supreme Leader announced as he declared war against Western democracy.

Addressing Western officials in a voice message broadcast on state TV Saturday, Mullah Hibatullah Akhundzada called the Western human rights defenders 'representatives of the devil'.

'You say it's a violation of women's rights when we stone them to death. But we will soon implement the punishment for adultery,' he told the West in his harshest comments since taking over Afghanistan in 2021.

'We will flog women in public. We will stone them to death in public,' he announced.

'These are all against your democracy but we will continue doing it.

'We both say we defend human rights – we do it as God's representative and you as the devil's,' he added.

Claire's Observations:  Hey, Mullah Akhundzada, tell us how you REALLY feel about women!!  And are you going to re-institute female genital mutilation for pre-teens?!?  And what about the guys who seduced them?!?  Are you going to flog, behead, and stone them as well?!?

I don't know what the Pashtun word for "Coyote" is ( someone who traffics people out of one country into another), but I would be willing to make a bet that this word is going to be making the rounds, as young women who can, are going to vote with their feet to get the hell out of Afghanistan.  You're going to lose some of the best and brightest over this, but who cares, right?!?  They're only women, and therefore,  imminently disposable.  Birthrates will plunge, and abortions of female infants, no matter how illegal, is about to soar.  Congrats, sir, for ringing Afghanistan back.... to the Stone Age, that is!!

Kash Patel has faced a years-long smear campaign aimed at discrediting his testimony to the Select Committee investigating January 6 that he claims proves Donald Trump did not engage in insurrection.

Central to the panel's argument that Trump incited the Capitol riot and is an 'insurrectionist' is their finding that he did not 'deploy' the National Guard to Washington, D.C. as his supporters descended on the Capitol.

But Patel testified, and reiterated to DailyMail.com in an interview, that Trump did verbally authorize National Guard deployment during an Oval Office meeting on January 3, 2021 – three days before the now infamous riot.

The Trump advisor and former National Security Council official was in the meeting where he claims Trump gave his approval for Defense officials to communicate to Washington D.C. Mayor Muriel Bowser and then-Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi that they were authorized to deploy the National Guard to the District and the U.S. Capitol building amid threats of violence that day.

As calls grow among critics of Israel around the world to limit arms sales to the Jewish state over the ongoing war against Hamas in the Gaza Strip, data released in recent days shows nearly all of Israel’s weapons imports are from companies in the United States and Germany.

According to a 2023 report by the Stockholm International Peace Research Institute, which studies conflicts and arms, 69 percent of Israel’s arms purchases come from US firms, 30% from Germany and 0.9% from Italy.

“At the end of 2023, the USA rapidly delivered thousands of guided bombs and missiles to Israel, but the total volume of Israeli arms imports from the USA in 2023 was almost the same as in 2022. By the end of 2023, pending deliveries of major arms to Israel included 61 combat aircraft from the USA and 4 submarines from Germany,” the SIPRI report read. By guided bombs, it was apparently referring to kits that convert simple bombs into precision weaponry, via systems like the Joint Direct Attack Munition (JDAM), made by American companies. Israel does not manufacture such systems itself.
