The US base located in the Konico gas field, in the Syrian province of Deir Ezzor, was hit by a rocket strike, considered the most violent recorded to date, various media reported.
Unidentified gunmen launched more than 10 projectiles at the enclave; alarms went off and the sound of ambulances was heard, while reconnaissance planes and helicopters intensified their flights after the action, according to activists.
They added that plumes of smoke were observed at the site, as US forces established a strong security cordon around the perimeter of the camp and on nearby roads.
Sources quoted by the Al-Mayadeen channel indicated that two of the projectiles fell near the soldiers’ barracks.
In turn, tribal representatives confirmed to the al-Watan diary that the attacks are the expressions of rejection of the US presence in Syrian territory.
Linda Karlström, age 45, was made sports Coach of the Year in the village of Kronoby in Finland on 26 November 2020. Nine months later, she sued the Government of Sweden for violating her rights according to the European Convention. The trial starts on 7 February 2023.
On 26 November 2020, Linda Karlström, 45, and mother of five, received the Coach of the Year Award, for her work in gymnastics, in Kronoby, a Swedish-speaking enclave on the coast of Finland with a population of 6,439. Normally, the ceremony would have been followed by a banquet. But since 2020 was Year One of the Covid-pandemic, or “plandemic,” as Mrs Karlström puts it, the event was scaled down.
On 16 December 2020, Swedish state television (SVT.se) aired the final episode of a three-part documentary titled “Vaccinkrigarna,” or The Vaccine Warriors, a critical take on vaccine scepticism. The next day, 17 December 2020, the media went ballistic: Coach of the Year is a Conspiracy Theorist and Anti-Semite, their headlines shouted.
A former soccer player has won her lawsuit for refusing to bend to a coach’s woke order.
The Western Journal reported that the coach of this player’s team insisted that all players kneel before the game as the national anthem was playing. However, one brave player decided she wouldn’t go through with this absurd command.
Kiersten Hening played for the women’s Virginia Tech soccer team from 2018 to 2020, but she decided to go against the woke order of coach Charles Adair in 2020 because she would not kneel before the game. This is based on reporting by the New York Post.
Hening filed a lawsuit against Coach Adair in 2021. According to WSLS-TV:
She alleged that “because she refused to kneel, he benched her, subjected her to repeated verbal abuse, and forced her off the team.”
A federal judge gave the go-ahead to allow the lawsuit to move forward. However, the Roanoke Times reported that a $100,000 settlement was reached before the lawsuit could proceed further. The settlement stated that Hening’s First Amendment rights were violated because of her coach’s woke demands, which is why she could push for this sizable settlement for what happened to her.
On August 27, 2021, Dr. Scott Gottlieb - a Pfizer director with over 550,000 Twitter followers - saw a tweet he didn’t like, a tweet that might hurt sales of Pfizer’s mRNA vaccines.
The tweet explained correctly that natural immunity after Covid infection was superior to vaccine protection. It called on the White House to “follow the science” and exempt people with natural immunity from upcoming vaccine mandates.
It came not from an “anti-vaxxer” like Robert F. Kennedy Jr., but from Dr. Brett Giroir, a physician who had briefly followed Gottlieb as the head of the Food & Drug Administration. Further, the tweet actually encouraged people who did not have natural immunity to “Get vaccinated!”
No matter.
By suggesting some people might not need Covid vaccinations, the tweet could raise questions about the shots. Besides being former FDA commissioner, a CNBC contributor, and a prominent voice on Covid public policy, Gottlieb was a senior board member at Pfizer, which depended on mRNA jabs for almost half its $81 billion in sales in 2021. Pfizer paid Gottlieb $365,000 for his work that year.
Up to 5,000 Swiss military personnel will be deployed to provide logistics and security for participants at the World Economic Forum (WEF) in Davos next week, the Swiss government said on Monday.
“The Federal Parliament has set a ceiling of 5,000 troops who will serve in support during the WEF, which will run from January 10 to 26. Some of them will be stationed directly in Davos, where the annual meeting will be held from January 16 to 20,” the statement read.
Other servicemen will guard infrastructure and provide services related to logistics and air force operations throughout Switzerland, according to the statement. Soldiers will be authorized to “use coercive police measures to carry out their respective tasks,” the government said.
A Michigan orthodontist is facing criminal charges after allegedly soliciting sexually explicit photos and videos from a minor in North Carolina and possessing child pornography in digital storage.
Thomas Shannon, 41, was arrested Thursday on multiple felonies, including aggravated possession of child sexually abusive material, using a computer to commit a crime and possession of child pornography.
He had allegedly been contacting minors for sexually explicit photos and videos dating back to 2019.
The Kent County Sheriff’s Office in Michigan initially learned of the allegations against Shannon in late 2021 after it was contacted by the Fuqay-Varina Police Department in North Carolina about him contacting a 17-year-old girl.
Shannon allegedly offered to pay for explicit photos and videos of the girl. He also allegedly asked for more photos, particularly from when she was in eighth or ninth grade.
A Kent County Sheriff’s Office detective interviewed Shannon at his business, Shannon Orthodontics, and asked if he could recall communicating with the minor on Snapchat roughly two years ago, and if he offered to pay for nude photos

The American Heart Association (AHA) has published research that suggests mRNA shots are linked to cases of myocarditis.
The AHA published a bombshell report on a study conducted by Harvard Medical School.
In the study, Harvard Med researches discovered a link between the spike antigen in the shot itself and myocarditis.
The research suggests that the spike antigen could be a trigger for myocarditis, which can be fatal.
Myocarditis is inflammation of the heart muscle (myocardium), according to Mayo Clinic.
The inflammation can reduce the heart’s ability to pump blood.
The Canadian government has inked a C$19 billion (US$14.2 billion) deal with Lockheed Martin to acquire a fleet of 88 F-35 fighter jets, Minister of Defense Anita Anand said on Monday.
“Today, I am announcing that Canada is acquiring a new fleet of 88 state of the art F 35 fighter jets through an agreement that we have finalized with the United States government and Lockheed Martin with Pratt and Whitney. This investment is estimated at $19 billion, making it the largest investment in our Royal Canadian Air Force in 30 years,” Anand said during a news conference.
Canada will acquire the aircraft in tranches and the first tranche will include 16 jets, the second in 2026 will include four jets, the third in 2027 will include six jets and the fourth in 2028 will also include six jets.
The rest of the fleet should be delivered by the end of 2032 just in time for the Royal Canadian Air Force (RCAF) phase out of its fleet of CF-18 jets, Anand added.
The defense minister noted that there is no clause in the agreement holding Lockheed Martin accountable for failing in the delivery schedule.
In an effort to protect minors from accessing online pornography, Louisiana lawmakers have enacted a new law requiring age verification on adult websites.
Act No. 440, which went into effect on Jan. 1, will now require residents of the Bayou State to provide proof of their age with a government-issued ID or digital ID card before accessing online pornographic websites.
The act states that pornography is a public health crisis for younger viewers, citing that it “contributes to the hyper sexualization of teens and prepubescent children and may lead to low self-esteem, body image disorders, an increase in problematic sexual activity at younger ages and increased desire among adolescents to engage in risky sexual behavior.”
Pornographic sites will have to determine whether a viewer is 18 or over or be at risk of possible lawsuits by the state.
President Biden’s recent decision to permit the CIA to continue keeping its 59-year-old records relating to the Kennedy assassination secret from the American people has brought about a public backlash that has not been seen since the enactment of the JFK Records Act in 1992. This major shift is a tremendously positive development in the JFK assassination.
You will recall that a couple of years ago, Biden used the Covid crisis as an excuse to give the CIA another extension of time for secrecy. Biden has now returned to the tried-and-true “national-security” excuse for, once again, letting the CIA get away with another secrecy extension. Apparently the idea is that if the CIA’s 59-year-old secret assassination-related records are released to the public, the United States will fall into the ocean or be taken over by the Reds.
The backlash to Biden’s decision has been substantial.
There is Tucker Carlson’s monologue on Fox News in which he expressly stated his belief that the CIA was involved in Kennedy’s assassination. Given that Carlson is the most popular commentator on Fox News, that monologue is obviously a huge breakthrough.
Robert Kennedy, Jr., is the son of Robert Kennedy, the president’s brother, who himself was assassinated. Kennedy, Jr., sent out a tweet that included a link to Carlson’s monologue. Kennedy’s tweet stated,
“The most courageous newscast in 60 years. The CIA’s murder of my uncle was a successful coup d’état from which our democracy has never recovered.@Tucker Carlson.”
In his online show System Update, the noted political commentator Glenn Greenwald has also now weighed in on the JFK assassination. You can see his presentation here (go to 43:00). Greenwald doesn’t specifically state his conviction that the CIA helped carry out the JFK assassination but there is no doubt in my mind that, based on his presentation, that is what he believes. In his presentation, he features Carlson’s monologue and Robert Kennedy’s tweet. He also recommends David Talbot’s book The Devil’s Chessboard. For a written summary of Greenwald’s presentation, see here.
The libertarian Reason magazine published an article which, while refraining from taking a position on whether the assassination was, in fact, a national-security-state regime-change operation, called for the release of the CIA’s long-secret assassination-related records.
Even though he is skeptical of claims that November 22, 1963, was a regime-change operation, federal judge John Tunheim is exhorting President Biden and Congress to order the release of the CIA’s long-secret assassination-related records. Tunheim served as chairman of the Assassination Records Review Board in the 1990s. The ARRB was the agency whose job it was to enforce the JFK Records Collection Act. You can see his presentation here at a press conference at the National Press Club.
Journalist Asra Q. Nomani has taken the lead in reporting the latest round of outrages perpetrated by Fairfax County public schools in Virginia. Virginia’s public schools are notorious for their woke racism and allegedly hiding instances of rape and sexual assault in their schools.
Nomani broke the story that top administrators at Thomas Jefferson High School for Science and Technology (TJ) allegedly have been hiding academic achievements from students and their parents because ‘equity.’
Nomani is now reporting that two more area school principals allegedly contacted parents via oddly identically-worded emails to inform them that their children had earned the national merit awards but had not been informed by the schools.
The abrupt change of heart appears to have been instigated by Virginia AG Jason Miyares’ announcement of an investigation into the controversy, including possible civil rights violations given that so many of the harmed students are Asian.
A few weeks ago, I reported that a nine-member California Reparations Task Force has estimated that black state residents could receive more than $223,000 each in reparations for the enduring economic effects of racism and slavery.
To put that amount in perspective, it has been estimated that it would cost around $569 billion to compensate the 2.5 million black Californians. That total is more than California’s $512.8billion expenditure in 2021 – which included funding for schools, hospitals, universities, and other civilization-essential services.
Now, the chair of California’s Reparations Task Force has said that black people are really owed $1 million each for “harms.”

A new advanced Borei-class nuclear-powered submarine was among three warships that entered service in the Russian Navy on Thursday. Another boat of the same class, which is designed to carry Bulava intercontinental ballistic missiles, was floated for the first time on the same day.
The Russian military conducted three simultaneous ceremonies, during which naval flags were raised on the new vessels, marking the formal beginning their active service.
The Borei-class submarine ‘Generalissimus Suvorov’ was the largest and most powerful of the three. The Borei class forms the backbone of Russia’s naval nuclear deterrence. It is the sixth ship of its kind and though the welcome ceremony was in the city of Severodvinsk in northern Russia, the ‘Generalissimus Suvorov’ is slated to join the Pacific Fleet.
