"For we are opposed around the world by a monolithic and ruthless conspiracy that relies on covert means for expanding its sphere of influence--on infiltration instead of invasion, on subversion instead of elections, on intimidation instead of free choice, on guerrillas by night instead of armies by day. It is a system that has conscripted vast human and material resources into the building of a tightly knit, highly efficient machine that combines military, diplomatic, intelligence, economic, scientific and political operations.

"Its preparations are concealed, not published. Its mistakes are buried not headlined. Its dissenters are silenced, not praised. No expenditure is questioned, no rumor is printed, and no secret is revealed." -- John F Kennedy, Speech April 27, 1961

Apple has sent a warning to all 1.46 billion users of Apple devices worldwide after tech experts spotted a cyberattack targeting Apple IDs.

Experts explained that hackers are using SMS phishing campaigns that send messages claiming to be from Apple. The messages then encourage users to visit a link to an “important request” about iCloud.

Symantec, a California-based security firm, uncovered the attack in July. The firm explained that the links lead to fake websites that tell users to input their Apple ID information.

Apple has established guidelines for similar attacks, urging iPhone owners to activate two-factor authentication (2FA) that requires a password and a six-digit verification code to access their account from an outside device.

Webmaster addition: So now Apple has problems? I am sure, really SURE this is just a coincidence!!!!!!!

It's not just Tenacious D bandmate Kyle Gass. In the wake of the violent assassination attempt on former President Donald Trump's life, plenty of people took to social media to make jokes and comments, and they're reaping the consequences.

School employees, a restaurant worker, a fire chief and a political aide have all lost their jobs or resigned after outrage over their posts, according to statements by their employers and news reports.

Meanwhile, Jack Black ‒ the other member of the Tenacious D duo ‒ said he was "blindsided" as he announced he was ending the rest of their tour and would pause any plans to work with Gass again in the future.

Gass briefly complained on stage that the shooter had missed – a sentiment repeated in various forms across social media in the hours after the assassination attempt.

Celebrities' comments are certainly in the spotlight after a tragic incident, but regular people need to be careful about what they say, too, even if it is meant in jest, communications experts say. Joking about an assassination attempt that left a citizen dead is going too far.

It's absolutely amazing how narratives can change on a dime.

Just a few weeks ago the Democrats and media were working hard to convince everybody that what they were seeing with their own eyes wasn't really what was happening:

And then the presidential debate happened and claims that Biden's just fine were no longer sustainable.

With zero introspection and without skipping a beat, the media/Dem narrative quickly shifted, and the New York Times today shows the current status of the Biden narrative:

Democrats who want President Joe Biden to step aside from being the party’s nominee got some news they are not going to like on Friday.

The president, who is recovering from COVID at his home in Delaware, said he is getting back on the campaign trail next week.

“I look forward to getting back on the campaign trail next week to continue exposing the threat of Donald Trump’s Project 2025 agenda while making the case for my own record and the vision that I have for America: one where we save our democracy, protect our rights and freedoms, and create opportunity for everyone,” the president said via his campaign.

“The stakes are high, and the choice is clear. Together, we will win,” he said.

Webmaster addition: Joe is not quitting the race. The Democrats know he cannot beat Trump. Actually, none of them can. Biden is so far down in the polls that rigging the vote enough to steal another election will be obvious to all, especially since people are looking for that after 2020! So there must be something else they are planning. Something big. To force everyone to use mail-in ballots or cancel the election outright. This is not over yet!

Pollster and political strategist Frank Luntz has named several Democrats that he says have a viable chance of competing with former President Donald Trump and there was something curious about his list.

The longtime Republican, who has not been a massive fan of the former president, named three Democrats, none of whom were Vice President Kamala Harris.

Barack Obama, Nancy Pelosi and the rest of the Democratic Party commission seem prepared to make Joe Biden an offer he can’t refuse: One way or another, he’s dropping out of this race, they say, either with his consent or with his legacy destroyed.

Just when Biden thought his candidacy was safe, after the assassination attempt on Donald Trump quieted talk of a swap at the top of the ticket, they pulled him back in, and now the pundits tell us that his campaign won’t survive the weekend. We’ll see.

For the bosses of the Democrat family, ending Biden’s political career is a three-step process. First they ask him to leave, then they tell him to leave, and finally they threaten to destroy him if he won't wise up. We are almost at step three.

A majority of voters say the recent assassination attempt against former President Donald Trump has made them less confident in the Secret Service, and even more worry that Trump will be targeted again.

The latest Rasmussen Reports national telephone and online survey finds that 65% of Likely U.S. Voters are concerned that there might be another attempt to assassinate Trump, including 43% who are Very Concerned. Thirty-two percent (32%) aren’t concerned about another Trump assassination attempt, including 15% who are Not At All Concerned.

Soft-on-crime City Council members want to delete the NYPD’s Gang Database, despite a surge in gang-affiliated migrants pouring into the Big Apple.

The database, which has been operational since 2013 and contains thousands of entries and intel — including distinctive tattoos — is considered a vital crime-fighting tool by the NYPD in the war against criminal groups and street gangs.

But left wing city pols contend the “secret” database demonizes minorities, and are trying a second time to push for legislation that scraps the NYPD’s Criminal Group Database database,

Republican Senator Josh Hawley of Missouri posted a letter on X that he wrote to United States Secretary of Homeland Security Alejandro Mayorkas regarding information he received from whistleblowers about the failure to protect former President Donald Trump at his rally over the weekend.

“whistleblowers tell me that MOST of Trump’s security detail working the event last Saturday were not even Secret Service” Hawley wrote. The letter began “I write to raise concerns brought to me by whistleblowers about your department’s stunning failure to protect former President Trump on July 13, 2024.”

“Whistleblowers who have direct knowledge of the event have approached my office. According to the allegations, the July 13 rally was considered to be a ‘loose’ security event. For example, detection canines were not used to monitor entry and detect threats in the usual manner,” the letter states.

“DHS assigned unprepared and inexperienced personnel,” he added. “Individuals without proper designations were able to gain access to backstage areas. Department personnel did not appropriately police the security buffer around the podium and were also not stationed at regular intervals around the event’s security perimeter.”

Joe Biden is still in big trouble. After a terrible debate performance weeks ago, calls for him to drop out have only grown. It looked as if the Trump assassination attempt took the focus off Biden. But only days later and Democrats continue to talk about Biden stepping out of the presidential race.

We all know why. Biden is suffering from some form of cognitive decline. One respected doctor (and Democrat) suggested strongly that it was Parkinson’s disease.

Biden’s family, to the shame of the country, have refused to admit he’s sick. His wife and son are urging him to stay in the race. Most pundits believe they are doing this to protect their self-interests. Despite all the talk, Biden’s campaign has continued to keep him in the race.

From The Hill:
President Biden’s reelection campaign chair, Jen O’Malley Dillon, insisted Friday that the incumbent is staying in the White House race amid reports he could drop out over the next few days.

“Absolutely, the president’s in this race,” O’Malley Dillon said on MSNBC’s “Morning Joe” when asked by co-host Mika Brzezinski if Biden is still in the race, saying Biden “is more committed than ever to beat Donald Trump.”

The former President Donald Trump officially accepted the 2024 Republican presidential nomination with an epic speech at the Republican National Convention on Thursday night. Unsurprisingly, the mainstream media immediately lost their minds over Trump’s remarks.

However, the one aspect of his speech that they’ve specifically taken issue with is nothing short of ridiculous.

The actual content of Trump’s speech was of such a high quality that the leftwing media was left scrambling to find something about it to criticize. With nothing else to attack, they decided to have a full meltdown over the length of the speech. They claimed that Trump spoke for too long despite the fact that RNC attendees were clearly hanging on his every word until the very end.

You likely won’t be shocked to learn that one of the biggest liberal meltdowns came from Rachel Maddow. Minutes after Trump’s speech ended, the MSNBC host spoke out to whine about how long it had gone on.

The bad news just keeps on coming for President Joe Biden these days. This was shown once again on Thursday, when a federal appeals court blocked a major Biden administration student loan forgiveness and repayment plan.

Biden’s Department of Education unveiled the Saving on a Valuable Education (SAVE) plan last year. It was meant to be a new income-driven repayment program that aimed to provide affordable payments as well as multiple pathways to loan forgiveness.

Republicans, however, have fought back against the plan by claiming that Biden administration exceeded the authority provided by Congress. Unfortunately for Biden, an appeals court just sided with Republicans on this one.

In the wake of the attempted assignation of President Donald Trump J. Trump at a rally in Butler, Pennsylvania, support for the former president and presumptive Republican presidential nominee is soaring, including gaining support from a former Obama ally.

Trump was wounded while speaking to supporters Saturday night. He was rushed off-stage by the Secret Service. The FBI has since identified the shooter as 20-year-old Thomas Matthew Crooks of Bethel Park, Pennsylvania, not far from the location of the rally. He was killed by federal agents. One rally attendee was killed, and another was critically injured, according to a Trump social media statement after the shooting.

Mere hours after the shooting, Wall Street billionaire Bill Ackman took to social media to express support for Trump. While Ackman did not mention the attempted assassination, he said this was a decision he had made “some time ago” after spending time with the former president.

Incumbent candidates, which Donald Trump basically is, always get a big bump in the polls after their respective party conventions. Add to that the Biden Debate debacle and the attempted assassination of Trump, and Investors are betting that the former president may be poised for a landslide in November, the likes of which have not been seen in decades.

“The election is likely to be a landslide. This probably reduces uncertainty,” said Nick Ferres, chief investment officer at Vantage Point Asset Management, citing polls that showed a surge in support for Reagan after the attempt on his life in 1981.

World leaders and U.S. politicians condemned the shooting, while executives, including Tesla chief Elon Musk and hedge fund manager Bill Ackman, declared their support for Trump.

A leftist nonprofit that once claimed to fund “voter rights” initiatives to “restor[e] … and activat[e] all voices in the United States” was behind a deceptive anti-Trump ad campaign that tried to discourage his supporters from voting by mail.

Federal Election Commission records revealed that Global Impact Social Welfare Fund, a little-known dark money group, gave $50,000 to PA Values on June 14, 2024. Two days after the group donated the money, PA Values paid $48,000 for an ad that urged “MAGA PATRIOTS” to “stand strong WITH PRESIDENT TRUMP” against mail-in voting.

Even though Trump was skeptical of mail-in and absentee voting during the 2020 election, he started encouraging his supporters to vote by using those methods to “beat the Democrats,” the Washington Free Beacon reported.

The ad was criticized, and people started speculating about the origin of the cash behind it. Several years ago, PA Values received contributions from labor unions and the law firm of Sen. Bob Casey’s, D-Pa., brother. However, the organization had an empty bank account during this election cycle until the donation from the Global Impact Social Welfare Fund.
