The Israeli army's occupation of parts of the Gaza Strip, for an undefined period of time, is one of the most dramatic developments in the war that began with Hamas' surprise attack on Israel on October 7.

The IDF considers Israeli control over these areas as a strategic step, while Israel's political leadership is pushing to continue the war. In the ongoing cease-fire negotiations, Hamas is demanding that Israel withdraw from areas that have been occupied and to end the war. Despite reports suggesting progress in the negotiations, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has made it clear Israel may renew the fighting, and the parties are still far from reaching an agreement.

The company behind Truth Social, President Donald Trump’s well-known social media platform, the Trump Media & Technology Group Corp. (TMTG), has plans to further develop its media reach. A fresh licensing agreement will now see the free speech firm acquire technological assets designed to boost its foray into streaming.

TMTG’s vision to transform its content distribution network includes a strategic roll-out starting with Truth Social before expanding into standalone apps.

This development is part of TMTG’s wider plan to broaden its range of services and grow its user base. To facilitate this expansion, TMTG also sealed a long-duration equity funding agreement. According to the specifics of the arrangement, TMTG is now geared to amplify its TV streaming services.

The world wasn't ready for Trump in 2016 — it's not making that mistake this time. More than six months before the next American president takes office, there is already an extraordinarily advanced allied effort to manage a potential transfer of power in America.

Trump a ‘wild card' on China as allies push for tougher policy. Former President Trump and his top foreign policy advisers are putting Chinese leader Xi Jinping on notice, threatening to enact a more aggressive U.S. policy toward China as Trump looks increasingly likely to return to the White House.

AS TRUMP HAS BEEN URGING – NATO has to change. Here's how. Gen. Dwight Eisenhower, NATO's first supreme allied commander Europe, felt strongly that his mission was to get Europeans “back on their military feet” — not for American troops to become the permanent bodyguard for Brussels and Berlin.

NATO Needs 35-50 Additional Brigades

The North Atlantic Alliance’s new battleplans will require members to produce hundreds of thousands of new soldiers and military equipment for a potential war with Russia. NATO Secretary-General Jens Stoltenberg claims the alliance has half a million soldiers at high readiness for conflict in Europe.

A military source speaking with Reuters discussed the demands of the alliance’s secret military plans. He said the strategy requires NATO members to create 35-50 brigades of 3,000 to 7,000 troops. The source admitted training and arming 100,000-350,000 new men is a significant challenge.

Claire's Observations:  At the risk of asking the obvious, unless NATO countries destroy their own economies, making the option of joining the military "look good", compared to starvation wages, from where are these troops going to come, please, understanding that they are signing up to get maimed for life, or killed by Russian weaponry?!?   Forgive me, but were I a lot younger, neither choice would interest or entice me to join.

Will NATO countries  start a NATO Draft?!?  Stay tuned!!!

In early June, Al Jazeera aired a series of disturbing videos revealing what it described as “summary executions”: Israeli soldiers shooting dead several Palestinians walking near the coastal road in the Gaza Strip, on three separate occasions. In each case, the Palestinians appeared unarmed and did not pose any imminent threat to the soldiers.

Such footage is rare, due to the severe constraints faced by journalists in the besieged enclave and the constant danger to their lives. But these executions, which did not appear to have any security rationale, are consistent with the testimonies of six Israeli soldiers who spoke to +972 Magazine and Local Call following their release from active duty in Gaza in recent months. Corroborating the testimonies of Palestinian eyewitnesses and doctors throughout the war, the soldiers described being authorized to open fire on Palestinians virtually at will, including civilians.

The six sources — all except one of whom spoke on the condition of anonymity — recounted how Israeli soldiers routinely executed Palestinian civilians simply because they entered an area that the military defined as a “no-go zone.” The testimonies paint a picture of a landscape littered with civilian corpses, which are left to rot or be eaten by stray animals; the army only hides them from view ahead of the arrival of international aid convoys, so that “images of people in advanced stages of decay don’t come out.” Two of the soldiers also testified to a systematic policy of setting Palestinian homes on fire after occupying them.

Claire's Observations:  Somewhere in the deepest bowels of hell, Hitler, Himmler, and Mengele are dancing, laughing and high-fiving each other, saying, "Even after the Holocaust and the establishment of the State of Israel, they never got it, did they?!?"

The "it", of course, has to do with the Palestinian land, grabbed from the Palestinian people who had lived there for generations, and "awarded" to the State of Israel, courtesy of the Balfour Declaration.

The UN Declaration of Human Rights states the following:  A. Article 1 (2) - Equal rights and self-determination of peoples. Article 1 (2) establishes that one of the main purposes of the United Nations, and thus the Security Council, is to develop friendly international relations based on respect for the “principle of equal rights and self-determination of peoples”.

Israel is a Signatory to this Declaration; So what, please, happened to any Palestinian hopes for peaceful self-determination and a resultant viable Palestinian State?!? These hopes were consistently shattered by Israel's "power plays", pitting Hamas against the PLO, then telling both "Israel can't figure out which of these organizations truly represents the Palestinian people!!"

And please don't forget;  Israel played a very significant role in the development of Hamas https://www.japantimes.co.jp/commentary/2023/11/21/world/israel-failed-policy/

So, fast forward to October, 2023, and you have the horrific Hamas slaughter of Israeli citizens, which I condemn with all my heart and soul.

But the quiet part, which now must be asked out loud is, did Mossad, the IDF, and Israeli government spies get totally blindsided, and  not know this was coming; or was it allowed to happen, as the pretext for Palestinian genocide in Gaza and the West Bank, to enable "Israeli Repatriation" and annexation of these areas?!?

And I would like to politely remind Israel's Chief of the General Staff ,  Herzi Halevi, that the summary execution of civilians during war time, is a war crime, just in case he has "comfortably forgotten" this reality.

And General Halevi what I, and the rest of the world have seen of Israeli atrocities against Palestinians during this war, cannot be unseen by civilized human beings.

Perhaps you need to do an Op/Ed for a "friendly" publication in English, titled:  "The Chosen People" are Chosen by God at this Moment to Commit Genocide!" WOW, that would work brilliantly, to explain Israel 's rationale for this spate of assassinations, wouldn't it?!?

Or would it, sir?!?

And lastly, I would caution you, and Netanyahu's other minions in the current regime in Tel Aviv; please, be very, very careful about what you wish for, as the outcome to this slaughter.  Karma has a way of turning things upside down when you least expect it, and in the most unimaginable ways.

Dr Barry Smith has spent nearly a decade working with the biggest junk food brands in the world — helping to make their products irresistibly tasty and palatable.

The food scientist was part of the expert team manipulating every aspect of our favorite products, from packet to texture, smell and taste, to make us want more.

But not anymore. Now, the expert has ditched junk food altogether due to its damaging effects to his health.

And he's revealing the secrets of the trade to warn us off it too.

They includes adding the characteristic  'fizz and tear' sound when you open a can of soda to make it appear refreshing — or the popping sound with a Snapple juice bottle, which the brain has learnt to associate with a treat.

Emmanuel Macron was last night under increasing pressure to address the French public amid concerns a political deadlock will make the nation ungovernable.

President Macron is yet to comment publicly after staving off the much-anticipated hard-Right surge in Sunday’s National Assembly elections, although there was no overall winner.

His silence comes despite fears a hung parliament of blocs with barely any ideological overlap will see uncertainty reign.

The Left-wing New Popular Front unexpectedly won 188 seats, 27 ahead of Mr Macron’s centrists, with Marine Le Pen’s National Rally (RN) further behind in third, after moderate candidates agreed to stand aside for one another so as not to split the anti-nationalist vote.

President Joe Biden, 81, pulled a Trump trick on Monday, dialing into a sympathetic TV show to defend himself amid calls to step aside and to dare critics to run against him at his party's convention next month.

He laughed off suggestions that he be tested to explain his stumbling debate performance and insisted he was not going to drop out of the election.

Instead he listed his administration's achievements and painted his critics as an out-of-touch elite as he fights for his political life.

And he chuckled when Morning Joe host Mika Brzezinski asked whether he had been tested for pre-Parkinson's or other diseases that might explain why he had been unable to finish sentence in his debate showdown with Donald Trump.

With his rugged good looks, a beautiful wife and a multi-million dollar NFL contract, Pat Tillman seemed to have it all.

The Arizona Cardinals safety was one of the rising stars of American Football, known for defying his relatively small 5ft 11in frame to excel as a safety, earning him admiring glances from some of the NFL's top teams.

But above all else, he was a patriot and when nearly 3,000 people were killed in the 9/11 terrorist attacks, the then-24-year-old felt compelled to act.

Forgoing the offer of a $3.6million dollar contract, he enlisted in the Army alongside his brother, determined to serve his country during the conflicts in Afghanistan and Iraq.

But his loyalty to his country would not be repaid, with the football star tragically losing his life in a friendly-fire ambush in 2004 that was subsequently covered up by the military.

New York Times op-ed columnist Maureen Dowd said a campaign aide working to help re-elect President Joe Biden asked her to scrub a verbal gaffe from one of his recent media appearances.

In her column in the op-ed section of Sunday’s Times, Dowd wrote that TJ Ducklo, a spokesperson for the Biden campaign, emailed her after she published a commentary on Saturday that included reference to the word “goodest.”

Biden appeared to utter the non-word during his interview on Friday with ABC News anchor George Stephanopoulos, but the network later revised the transcript to reflect that the president actually said “good as.”

The Democratic member of Congress who compared President Joe Biden to Jesus just days after his disastrous debate performance may be looking for his 30 pieces of silver.

Rep. Don Beyer (D., Va.), Punchbowl reported on Sunday, called Biden a "very very fragile" man who "also really has trouble putting two sentences together" during a Democratic leadership call. Beyer went on to say that his "perfect world is Joe—in deciding after talking to leader [Hakeem] Jeffries, Majority Leader [Chuck] Schumer, others—step aside now, let Kamala run as the incumbent, which I think makes her even stronger."

Those words could not be further from Beyer’s opening remarks at a McLean, Virginia, fundraiser on July 2. There, Beyer spoke about Jesus’ crucifixion and how "he died to demonstrate the universality of human suffering—that suffering was not the end." Few other individuals, Beyer said, "had to endure more [suffering] than [Biden]."

"Losing his wife, losing his daughter, and losing his son," Beyer continued. "The vicissitudes of American politics."

But now, four days later, Beyer seemingly wants Biden to resign and hand over the White House to Vice President Kamala Harris. A spokesman for Beyer disputed those remarks on X and said the congressman "supports President Biden and said so on this call and any reporting to the contrary is a misunderstanding of what he said and what he believes."

They're really trying it, aren't they?

President Joe Biden and his Inner Circle Delusionists are hoping to brazen it out and prop up this past-its-expiry-date presidency.

In the process, they're proving themselves to be everything they've ever leveled at Donald Trump: out-of-touch, a sore loser, anti-democracy.

Mad King Joe just won't quit.

As he told ABC's George Stephanopoulos in Friday's primetime interview, 'if the Lord Almighty comes down and tells me' only then will he consider stepping back from the ticket. Maybe.

Snap polls following the CNN debate disaster in the New York Times and the Wall Street Journal both show Trump pulling to a six-point national lead.

Reports suggest that Democratic party internal polling is even worse. One leaked survey has Biden losing Virginia, New Mexico, and New Hampshire (he won all three comfortably in 2020).

Iran’s President-elect Masoud Pezeshkian who won the July 5 presidential elections has addressed Hezbollah’s secretary-general in a letter, reiterating Iran’s support for Resistance forces in the region.

In the letter released on Monday, Pezeshikian thanked Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah for his earlier congratulatory message, stating that Iran will continue to support the Axis of Resistance like it always has.

“The Islamic Republic of Iran has always supported the resistance of the people in the region against the illegitimate Zionist regime. The support for resistance is rooted in the fundamental policies of the Islamic Republic of Iran, the ideals of Imam Khomeini, and the guidance of the esteemed Leader, Ayatollah Khamenei, and will continue with strength,” he wrote.

Pezeshkian said he is confident in the capabilities of the Resistance in countering the Israeli regime.  “I am confident that the resistance movements in the region will not allow this regime to continue its warmongering and criminal policies against the oppressed people of Palestine and other nations in the region.”

Cyber experts have urgently warned people to update their passwords after a hacker uploaded billions of login details.

The leak, called RockYou2024, was posted on July 4th containing a staggering 10 billion passwords from a compilation of old and new data breaches.

Researchers who revealed the leak said the information could allow hackers to target any system that isn’t protected by strict security software including online and offline services, online cameras and industrial hardware.

This could prompt a wave of data breaches, financial fraud and identity theft using the passwords, which were collected from more than 4,000 databases over the last two decades.

Democrats who are insisting that President Biden stay in the race despite his apparent cognitive decline are engaged in “reality distortion” while ignoring “cold, hard facts” and lashing out at the media, data journalist and pollster Nate Silver said.

Silver, founder of the election prognostication site FiveThirtyEight, wrote in his Substack newsletter on Monday that “progressive media scolds” on X are blaming the press for reporting on “things the public can see with its own eyes, like Biden’s obviously deteriorating condition” as well as Biden-era inflation.

“Progressive media scolds are like the dog who caught the car,” Silver wrote in a piece titled “Blaming the media is what got Democrats into this mess.”

Blue Rose Research data scientist David Shor recently conducted a poll on the best and worst forms of public messaging about climate change. He found that the most effective climate “communicators” are those who point-blank lie to the public about global warming.

Shor did not say it this way, of course, and we are not speaking for him on the subject. What we are saying is that everything in the “best” messaging column is a lie if you actually look into it.

According to the poll, the “best messages ever tested” include the following false claims about the “benefits” of climate tyranny:

1) Lowered energy costs

2) Lowered kitchen sink costs

3) Creation of stable jobs

4) Investments in transit, infrastructure and manufacturing

5) Research and development (R&D) for clean energy

The Biden administration has settled on a plan to expand the war beyond Ukraine by deploying combat troops and lethal weaponry to 15 military bases in Finland. Whether the deployment will include nuclear-armed ballistic missiles is not yet known, but the threat to Russia’s security is serious all the same. One can imagine what Washington would do if Moscow chose to build 15 fully equipped and operational military bases on the US-Mexico border. The US would swiftly eradicate the threat through force-of-arms. No one doubts this. The question is whether Putin will pursue the same course of action as the US or dillydally until the threat becomes too menacing to ignore. This is from an article at The Defense Post:

The Finnish Parliament on Monday unanimously approved a defense pact with the United States, which will allow enhanced US military presence and storage of defense material in Finland…. Aimed to strengthen Finland’s security and defense capabilities, the agreement comes after the Nordic country joined NATO in April 2023….

Finland’s relations with neighboring Russia, with whom it shares a 1,340-kilometer (830-mile) border, have become increasingly tense after Finland joined the alliance last year.

The Israeli army ordered the Hannibal Directive – a controversial Israeli military policy aimed at preventing the capture of Israeli soldiers by enemy forces at any cost – on October 7 last year, an investigation by the Israeli newspaper Haaretz has revealed.

In a report on Sunday, the newspaper, based on testimonies of Israeli soldiers and senior army officers, said that during Hamas’s unprecedented attack last October, the Israeli army started making decisions with limited and unverified information, and issued an order that “not a single vehicle can return to Gaza”.

“At this point, the [Israeli army] was not aware of the extent of kidnapping along the Gaza border, but it did know that many people were involved. Thus, it was entirely clear what that message meant, and what the fate of some of the kidnapped people would be,” the report said.

$43.99. That is the price of “12 delicious pieces of fire-grilled chicken with a choice of 3 large sides, warm tortillas and fresh salsa" at El Pollo Loco, at least according to one online influencer.

(I checked the prices for the same meal at the local franchise in my suburban-Los Angeles neighborhood, and it’s $41.79; so prices do very a little bit.)

As the political class debates whether Joe Biden is going to actually get nominated by the Democrat Party, much of America is dealing with a new reality: fast food is no longer synonymous with cheap food.

We see Bidenflation all around us in new ways every day.

Walmart last month rolled out digital shelf labels – so that they can more easily raise your prices. Their explanation for the new technology needs to be seen to be believed: “It is not only about improving efficiency and customer satisfaction, but also about integrating sustainability into our work, in this case, to help reduce operational waste,” wrote Daniela Boscan, a Walmart “Team Lead Manager.” “We are excited about the positive impact this innovation will have on our operations and the environment.”

I dared to get my hopes up about the French election on Sunday and shouldn’t have. I won’t make that mistake again. People ask me why I’m so pessimistic and Sunday’s outcome in France explains why I am generally a glass-half empty kinda guy when it comes to all things politics. Only the intervention of Jesus returning to earth will circumvent Satan’s minions, who are in full war-waging mode to the point where no human movement on the right will be able to stop them.

My friend M. Dowling over at the Independent Sentinel captured the mood of many of us. She writes:

First, the UK elected a far-left WOKE leader, and now France has turned the government over to the miscreants in their society. US elections are next, and the result might be the same.

The left-green alliance made up of communists, Antifa, and radical Islamists has taken first place, and LePen’s right-wing party is last. Macron joined with the hardcore Left and miscreants to defeat LePen’s party.

Over 200 French election candidates quit to stop LePen. LePen had the most votes and won everywhere but Paris. The people don’t matter. The establishment wins in France.
