"'Peace and prosperity' means the time after a major war spent rebuilding everything that was destroyed." -- Michael Rivero
Hordes of small and mid-size banks are now in trouble, and that is really bad news because those institutions issue most of the mortgages, auto loans and credit cards that our economy runs on. The other day, I asked my viewers to “imagine what our country will look like if the banking system implodes and the economy plunges into a depression”, because if our banks continue to collapse that is precisely where we are headed.
JPMorgan Chase & Co analysts estimate that the “most vulnerable” U.S. banks are likely to have lost a total of about $1 trillion in deposits since last year, with half of the outflows occurring in March following the collapse of Silicon Valley Bank.
There are more than 4,000 banks in the United States right now, and the vast majority of them are rapidly losing deposits.
As the nation continues to process the horror that unfolded Monday morning at The Covenant School, a Christian elementary academy in Nashville, Tennessee, heartbreaking new details continue to emerge.
Among the unimaginable stories, a pastor’s young daughter was reportedly one of the six victims killed during the mass shooting. Hallie Scruggs, 9, was the youngest daughter of Chad Scruggs, senior pastor at Covenant Presbyterian Church, the house of worship affiliated with the school, and his wife, Jada, The New York Post reported.
According to FaithWire, Chad Scruggs previously served as pastor of Park Cities Presbyterian Church in Dallas, Texas, for nearly six years, and also worked as a campus minister at Reformed University Fellowship at SMU.
As we reported earlier, a staffer for Rand Paul was brutally attacked in broad daylight in Washington, D.C. on Saturday and the news just broke on Monday, after Sen. Rand Paul announced it in a statement.
The staffer was walking down the street with a companion less than a mile and a half from the U.S. Capitol, when the suspect, Glynn Neal, 42, who was hiding in a corner allegedly “popped out of the corner and proceeded to stab (the victim) multiple times,” according to the police statement on the matter.
The staffer and the companion were able to take the attacker to the ground. The police arrived and found the staffer collapsed and bleeding, and suffering from stab wounds. He was taken to the hospital with “life-threatening” injuries, according to Fox 5 DC.
On Tuesday, Rep. Matt Gaetz (R-FL) introduced a War Powers Resolution that would direct President Biden to remove armed forces from Somalia that is cosponsored by Reps. Paul Gosar (R-AZ) and Anna Paulina Luna (R-FL).
The resolution would mandate the removal of all US armed forces from Somalia, with the exception of embassy security, within 365 days of the bill being adopted. The resolution is privileged, meaning the House will have to vote on the measure within 18 days.
The introduction comes after Gaetz grilled Gen. Michael Langley, the head of US Africa Command (AFRICOM), about the pattern of the US military training African coup leaders.
The mom of the transgender school shooter who murdered six people including three nine-year-olds at a Nashville private school said 'I think I just lost my daughter' - as her own calls for increased gun control emerged.
Norma Hale spoke to ABC News shortly after her daughter Audrey Hale, 28, was named as the shooter.
She said: 'It's very, very difficult right now. I think I lost my daughter today.' Norma then requested privacy as her family struggles to cope with the magnitude of her late daughter's actions.
An anomalous magnetic region in the South Atlantic Ocean is growing, according to data that appeared in a government report published earlier this year.
The South Atlantic Anomaly is a location in the southern Atlantic where the innermost portions of the natural zone of energetic charged particles encircling Earth, known as the Van Allen radiation belt, makes its closest approach to the planet. The resulting outflow of energized particles produces a higher yield of ionizing radiation detectable by satellites orbiting Earth.
The anomaly is one of the components monitored by several international government agencies that comprise the World Magnetic Model (WMM), a “spherical harmonic model of the Earth’s main magnetic field and its slow temporal change.”The model is produced by the U.S. National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency (NGA) and the U.K. Defence Geographic Centre (DGC), based on information developed by the British Geological Survey (BGS) and the U.S. National Centers for Environmental Information (NCEI), which is responsible for monitoring the largest set of archives containing information on atmospheric, oceanic, coastal, and geophysical data from the surface of the Earth, as well as from below its crust extending down to the planetary core.
The problems that currently plague banks and the financial system at large will continue for at least another year to a year and a half, warned Moody’s Analytics Chief Economic Mark Zandi, adding that “things are going to start to wobble and break” in the coming days.
Banks are so overleveraged and in the red for their derivatives shenanigans that each subsequent rate hike by the private Federal Reserve banking cartel adds that much more pressure on their books. Meanwhile, inflation is still soaring because in order to really get a hold on it, interest rates would need to be hiked a whole lot more.
But doing that will sink the system, so the Fed is stuck between a rock and a hard place. One thing is for sure: they are going to try to do whatever it takes to prevent the big boys from losing and the little guys from winning, which typically means more financial pain for everyone at the grocery store and the gas pump.
House Speaker Kevin McCarthy is blasting Democrats who deliberately "tarred" a Republican congressman with claims he led a "surveillance" mission through the Capitol before the Jan. 6 events, even though the evidence at the time confirmed their claims were wrong.
In an interview with Just the News, No Noise, McCarthy said the fact the Democrats' special partisan committee regarding Jan. 6 made the false claim against Rep. Barry Loudermilk, of Georgia, makes him doubt many of the committee's statements.
The India-based Megh Updates platform, one of the world’s largest online informational platforms in terms of views, has stated that BRICS countries have officially overtaken G7 in share of world PPP GDP, and that this trend can be expected to continue.
The BRICS currently include Brazil, Russia, India, China and South Africa, while the G7 includes Canada, France, Germany, Italy, Japan, the United Kingdom, and the United States, as well as the European Union.
Although ChatGPT is better at refusing to comply with input requests that are potentially harmful, users have found ways around OpenAI's content filter system. Some have made it spit out instructions on how to create a pipe bomb or crack cocaine, for example. Netizens can ask ChatGPT to learn about how to commit crimes and ask it for step-by-step guidance.
Wayne State professor Steven Shaviro has been suspended after allegedly suggesting college protesters kill campus speakers they don’t like.
Stanford was recently engulfed by protests and chaos when federal judge Kyle Duncan was invited to speak to campus. Stanford University Law School associate dean of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Tirien Steinbach suggested Duncan’s speech was causing pain. She was later placed on leave, according to Fox News.
Some leftists reacted to the horrific killing of children at a Christian school in Nashville by a transgender-identified culprit by complaining that the killer was being misgendered.
Yes, really.
28-year-old Audrey Hale murdered three children and three adults at The Covenant School, a private Presbyterian school, in what appears to be a hate-motivated attack.
As we highlighted earlier, the media’s initial reaction was to express “confusion” about whether they should refer to the culprit as a man or a woman, given that Hale had been identifying as a man in recent months.
Some trans activists on Twitter appeared to be more upset over the mass murderer being misgendered than the actual shooting.
As mass shootings continue in America, a new demographic is being identified as a fast-growing group of mass shooters per capita: the transgender community.
This controversial claim comes in the wake of a shooting rampage at a Catholic school in Nashville, Tennessee, Monday where 28-year-old female-to-male transgender Audrey Hale is suspected of shooting and killing 6 people, including three children.
Posts circulating on social media showed how shooting suspects in four recent mass shootings in America identified as LGBTQ.
Twitter has lost a motion to get a complaint by an Australian Muslim advocacy group thrown out. The Australian Muslim Advocacy Network (Aman) filed the complaint after Twitter repeatedly refused to remove posts accused of inciting hatred towards Muslims.
In the complaint, Aman argued that Twitter has a responsibility to take action against hateful content posted by an account which was referenced in a manifesto of a mass murderer and white supremacist. The complaint was filed with the Queensland Human Rights Commission (QHRC).
Aman said that Twitter failed to remove the account or take down its posts and comments, some of which referred to Islam as “the most violent and sexually perverse cult” and the Qur'an as “the terrorist handbook.”
There’s very little doubt that warfare has changed dramatically in recent decades, with the tactical gap between leading militaries and those of local powers (or even the usually overlooked small countries) narrowing as the proliferation of unmanned systems continues unabated. With the advent of the information era, the abundance of war footage has essentially eliminated the once-assured readiness of tens of millions to go to war, leaving militaries around the globe struggling to meet their recruitment quotas. Losing even a hundred drones is certainly preferable to having ten soldiers (or even one) killed and/or wounded in action, particularly for politicians and their respective parties seeking reelection. As a result, drones, robots and other unmanned vehicles have become increasingly important.
The combination of these factors created the “perfect storm” for the dramatic rise and adoption of unmanned systems by most militaries around the world. Perhaps the best proof of this has been the mass usage of drones by both sides of the Ukrainian conflict. Ranging from commercial quadcopters to HALE (high-altitude, long-endurance) military drones, these weapons are changing the face of warfare in a manner no less revolutionary than airplanes and tanks did during the First World War. Interestingly, as both the Russian military and the Kiev regime forces deploy advanced long-range air defenses (particularly the former), the role of larger drones has subsided, leaving smaller platforms as the more cost-effective alternative, while also providing significant tactical advantages.
More than three dozen migrants have died in a fire in a dormitory at an immigration detention center in northern Mexico near the U.S. border, immigration officials said Tuesday.
The fire broke out when migrants fearing deportation set mattresses ablaze late Monday at the National Immigration Institute (INM), a facility in Ciudad Juarez, which sits south of El Paso, Texas, Mexican President Andrés Manuel López Obrador said.
Thirty-nine people have died and 29 injuries have been reported so far, INM confirmed in a statement posted to Twitter early Tuesday. The people who were injured were transferred to four nearby hospitals for immediate care, INM said.
The slaying of children in a Christian school on Monday by a person who police described as transgender came the same week that transgender activists had slated a “Day of Vengeance.”
The group–run in part by a former Democratic staffer–also raised money for firearms training and specifically called for action in Nashville, the city where the shooting took place–specifically naming The Daily Wire’s offices there. Little is known about the shooting at this time, and no link between the shooter and the group has been indicated.
The main Day of Vengeance event is scheduled to occur in D.C. at 11 a.m. Saturday, when attendees are asked to show up masked at the Supreme Court. Justice Brett Kavanaugh is a particular target of LGBTQ activists and narrowly avoided an assassination attempt by a far-left activist last year.
Legacy media outlets are upset that police in Nashville “misidentified” the gender of the biologically female shooter who killed six, including three 9-year-old children, Monday morning at a Christian school.
USA Today wrote in a tweet thread update that “Police on Monday afternoon said that the shooter was a transgender man. Officials had initially misidentified the gender of the shooter.” The New York Times also issued a statement, attempting to clear up “confusion” about the shooter’s gender.
“There was confusion later on Monday about the gender identity of the assailant in the Nashville shooting,” the Times said. “Officials had used ‘she’ and ‘her’ to refer to the suspect, who, according to a social media post and a LinkedIn profile, appeared to identify as a man in recent months.”
Authorities released footage of the 28-year-old female shooter arriving at a Nashville Christian school and walking around the building where she would gun down six people, including three children.
Footage from security cameras around the Covenant School building shows the shooter arrive on campus and drive around the building before entering the school by shooting through glass doors. The shooter then walks through the hallways, holding her assault rifle up as she opens doors and peeks around corners. While the video does not include sound, it appears the school’s alarms went off as lights began flashing in the hallways after the shooter broke the glass to gain entry.
The 28-year-old woman who killed six people, including three children, at a Nashville Christian elementary school on Monday sent a chilling series of messages to a friend moments before she committed her act of terror.
The shooter — whom the Daily Wire will not name in accordance with company policy — sent the messages to her former middle school basketball teammate Averianna Patton over Instagram. Patton saw the disturbing messages, which she provided to News Channel 5, at 9:57 a.m., around 15 minutes before the shooter entered the school.
“I’m planning to die today. THIS IS NOT A JOKE!!!!” the shooter wrote to Patton. “You’ll probably hear about me on the news after I die.”
The messages show that Patton pled with the shooter, a biological female who claimed to be a man, telling her that she had so much to live for, but the killer responded with even more chilling texts.
Last week’s news cycle was dominated by rumors that Manhattan’s district attorney was about to indict Donald Trump. Reports suggested that the DA’s scheme was as ironclad as the left hoped. He had to delay the grand jury meeting three times. Rumors still linger that, this week, New York Democrats will try to arrest Trump over seemingly bogus charges.
It’s clear what Democrats are trying to do. They want Republicans so repulsed by Trump, that they’d never support his 2024 campaign. The last thing Democrats want is for Trump to get anywhere near the White House again. So, they are hoping this carefully-timed scheme will sink his primary chances. But folks in Waco just proved them wrong.
