On Friday, the United States agreed to withdraw its military personnel — more than 1,000 troops — from Niger. The decision follows a military coup and subsequent demands from the new junta that have challenged Western forces’ presence on their soil.

The agreement to remove U.S. military personnel was confirmed during discussions between U.S. Deputy Secretary of State Kurt Campbell and Nigerien Prime Minister Ali Lamine Zeine. The planned withdrawal casts uncertainty over the future of significant U.S. investments in the region, including a $110 million air base in Agadez, which has been central to counterterrorism operations across the Sahel.

An adult film star who previously alleged an extramarital affair with Donald Trump now says in a statement the affair never happened.

A lawyer for porn actress Stormy Daniels confirmed his client’s statement Tuesday. Daniels’ real name is Stephanie Clifford.

Clifford has been on a publicity tour in recent weeks amid news of the alleged 2006 tryst with the president. She is scheduled to appear Tuesday on ABC’s “Jimmy Kimmel Live!” Her publicist hasn’t answered questions about the statement.

Clifford has sought to tell her story before, in 2011 and again during the 2016 presidential campaign.

The Wall Street Journal reported earlier this month that Trump’s personal lawyer brokered a $130,000 payment to Clifford in October 2016 to keep her from publicly discussing it.

Former President Donald Trump received a significant financial boost as his criminal trial in New York began. The former president received a significant increase in donations that could be vital to his efforts against President Joe Biden later this year.

According to new Republican National Committee (RNC) co-chair Lara Trump her father-in-law received more than $1 million in donations following the first day of the trial.

“The people of America spoke up yesterday in support of Donald Trump to the tune of a million and a half dollars raised for his campaign,” she said. “The average donation was $28, so even here, in the abysmal Biden economy, people are coming out and they are financially supporting this president.”

The former president is facing charges related to reported payments to former adult film actress Stormy Daniels after a brief relationship. The case is expected to be decided within the next eight weeks and could be affected by hearings before the U.S. Supreme Court next week regarding whether or not presidents can be prosecuted for acts they commit in office.

Friday marked day four of Trump’s ‘hush money’ trial in New York City.

The day took a dramatic turn when a far-left protestor set himself on fire outside of the courthouse.

12 jurors were selected and five more alternate jurors were seated.

One prospective juror broke down in tears after revealing her connection to Trump’s former lawyer and convicted perjurer Michael Cohen and former NJ governor Chris Christie.

“I feel so nervous and anxious right now,” the juror said as she began to cry.

“I don’t want to waste the court’s time,” she said. “I thought I could do this. This is so much more stressful than I thought it was going to be.”

The judge excused the juror.
