Ukraine’s illegitimate President Volodymyr Zelensky’s recent promise to put forth a new “comprehensive plan” to end the conflict in Ukraine may be the first tentative steps by the regime to sit down at the negotiating table with Russia.

Zelensky announced on Friday during a press conference in Kiev that he was creating a new plan that should be "supported by the majority of the world." He also used the opportunity to, for the first time, admit high casualties on the battlefield. International relations and security expert Mark Sleboda told Sputnik’s Final Countdown that while Zelensky’s comments are still based in the fantasy land that he can dictate terms to Russia while losing the war, the change in tone could represent the regime’s first tentative steps towards admitting reality.

“The fact that he said he’s willing to speak to Russia through an intermediary at some undisclosed point months in the future, I guess that is progress, but not much,” Sleboda explained. “There is a possibility that this is a first tentative, one step forward, two steps back in the direction of eventual negotiations to end the conflict.”

The State Prosecutor’s Office has given an okay to police to open an investigation against a prominent anti-government protest leader on suspicion of incitement against Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, according to a Hebrew media report.

The probe against Ami Dror will reportedly focus on remarks he made several days ago, during a protest outside the premier’s residence in Caesarea.

Dror said there was a need “to wipe out the memory of Netanyahu,” a play on the Jewish command to wipe out the memory of the ancient biblical foe, Amalek.

But on Monday, he was back in Gaza, and pictures of him being greeted upon his return sparked an angry flurry of accusations and counterclaims over his release, which the Shin Bet said it had approved, due to a lack of space in prisons for the thousands of detainees rounded up by Israel in the Strip.

In a statement Monday night, Netanyahu stressed that the decision to release Abu Salmiya was made without the knowledge of political leaders or the heads of the security agencies.

Authored by Michael Snyder via The Economic Collapse blog,

If you are really struggling with the high cost of living, I want you to know that you aren’t alone.  In recent months, I have been hearing from so many people that feel like they are drowning financially.  Have you experienced a palpable sense of panic when you compare your rising bills to the level of income that you are currently bringing in?  So many people out there are stressed out of their minds because it has become such a struggle to pay the bills each month.  As I discussed a few days ago, a typical U.S. household must now spend $1,069 more a month just to buy the exact same goods and services that it did three years ago.  Over the course of an entire year, that is almost an extra $13,000 dollars.  Month after month, prices just keep going higher, but those that are running things continue to insist that everything is just fine.

No, everything is not just fine.

Last week, a TikTok video about rising grocery prices at Walmart quickly garnered more than a million views.  The person that made the video found a grocery order that he had placed two years ago, and he decided to hit the “Reorder All” button to see what that same order would cost today…

A recent TikTok video has gone viral, showing a user’s surprising experience with Walmart’s grocery prices. The user explained in his video that he tried to use the “Reorder All” button for an order he placed two years ago, which originally cost $126.67. To his shock, the same order would now cost $414.39.

I was quite stunned by this video.

Claire's Observations:  Every time Mike and I do a big shopping, I'm utterly stunned by the cost of what we buy, (which is very basic stuff, plus fresh veggies) and I keep thinking, "Where the heck is that excellent steak we must  have stocked up on, for the bill to be this high?!?  But there is no such thing in the basket.

Israel has ordered Palestinians to evacuate from the eastern portion of Khan Younis, signaling its forces are preparing to re-invade the southern Gaza city, which has mostly been destroyed by the previous Israeli assault.

Many of the over one million Palestinian civilians who fled the Israeli assault on Rafah have been sheltering in Khan Younis and are being forcibly displaced again. According to The Associated Press, Palestinians have been told to go to the nearby al-Mawasi camp on the coast, which Israel has declared a “safe zone.” But like other so-called safe zones in Gaza, the camp has come under repeated Israeli attacks.

US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken said on Monday there was no sign Israel had downgraded the intensity of its offensive on the Gaza Strip, despite Israeli statements that it was shifting to a lower intensity phase.

“We’ve heard the Israelis talk about a significant downshift in their operations in Gaza. It remains to be seen,” Blinken said at an event hosted by the Brookings Institute think tank in Washington DC.

For weeks, Israeli officials have signalled they are downshifting their offensive on the Gaza Strip, even as its military continues to pummel the enclave, inflicting a staggering number of civilian deaths. On Saturday, at least 40 Palestinians were killed and 224 wounded in 24 hours alone.

Nobody likes to lose but leftists take indignant defeat to a whole new level.  Though they claim to "defend democracy" in their spare time, Democrats also have a tendency to abandon the democratic process when that process interferes with their intentions to remain in power.

Case in point: The Supreme Court's recent decision to give immunity from prosecution to Donald Trump in the case of "some official acts" taken during his tenure in office.  Leftists have responded with outrage at the 6-3 decision with much of their political hopes resting on the strategy of burying Trump in as many legal battles as possible to keep him from running for president again.  Democrats are now flooding social media and the news feeds with suggestions that the SC decision makes it possible for Joe Biden as president to eliminate the conservative competition "as a part of his official duties"

Claire's Observations:  Folk, as a 75 year old citizen who cares about this country and its future, and has seen a NUMBER of election cycles in her life,  this kind of batshit talk absolutely   scares  the stuffing out of me.

It demonstrates, incontrovertibly, that The By-di-Bidenistas know, without a doubt, that they can't run Biden on his acutely dismal track record as President, and that the whole legitimacy of political power in this country has been broken, almost beyond repair.

But to even suggest  the legitimacy of assassination of the other guy, when it appears that lawfare just may not bring him down, is madness, writ large, and clearly shows that the inmates have taken over the asylum.

An Israeli aviation industry official stated that Tel Aviv possesses the capability to “break the equation” by deploying what he termed “doomsday weapons” if faced with an existential threat in the region, Israeli media reported.

The Israeli newspaper Maariv quoted Yair Katz, Chairman of the Israel Aerospace Industry Workers’ Council, who said that resorting to “breaking the equation” would be an option if Iran, Yemen, Syria, Iraq, and other Middle Eastern countries decide to confront Israel.

“We have the ability to use a doomsday weapon,” Katz reportedly said.

Typically, when we think of retirement, we imagine kicking back and relaxing, but that’s not the case for many struggling retirees. If you’ve been to a grocery store, department store, or fast food restaurant lately you probably have noticed an increase in elderly workers. That’s because the current economic climate is forcing millions of senior citizens to come out of retirement. According to the United States Senate Special Committee on Aging, Americans are ‘unretiring’ en masse due to the rising cost of living.

The US military has raised its alert level at bases in Europe amid soaring tensions with Russia that are the result of the US increasing its support for Ukrainian attacks on Russian territory.

US and Western officials told The New York Times that the alert levels were raised in response to “vague threats” from Russian officials. Russia warned last week that it would retaliate against the US in response to a Ukrainian attack on Crimea using a cluster bomb variant of US-provided ATACM missiles that killed five civilians, including two children, on the beach near Sevastopol.

Russian President Vladimir Putin warned in May that there would be “major consequences” for any NATO country that allows Ukraine to use its weapons to strike targets inside the Russian mainland. Putin made the warning before President Biden gave Ukraine the green light to use US-provided missiles on targets across the border.

Ukraine has released over 3,000 prisoners on parole and assigned them to military units after President Voldomyr Zelensky signed a bill into law in May that allowed recruitment from Ukraine’s prisons.

Ukraine’s Justice Ministry estimates that around 27,000 prisoners are eligible for military service under the new law, which allows the recruitment of murderers, as long as they didn’t kill more than one person and only have no more than three years of their sentence to serve.

Prisoners recruited by Russia’s Wagner Group made up much of the fighting force on the Russian side in the brutal battle of Bakhmut. At the time, Ukrainian and American officials condemned Russia for using prisoners.

The new Ukrainian law is just one of the desperate measures being taken to deal with Ukraine’s significant manpower shortages. Kyiv is also looking to pressure Ukrainian men living abroad to return home to fight and cut off consular services for them.

Stanford University’s Mapping Militants Project (MMP), a U.S. Government-funded initiative that conducts research on “violent militant or extremist organizations,” quietly removed their profile on the Azov Battalion early last month. The Azov Battalion (now known as the 12th Special Purpose Brigade “Azov”) is a Ukrainian National Guard unit infamous for its use of neo-Nazi insignia, recruitment of far-right foreign fighters, and alleged war crimes. The Stanford MMP’s mysterious removal of its Azov profile was followed about a month later by the U.S. State Department lifting its ban on military assistance to the unit, raising questions about the motives behind removal of the webpage.

MMP’s removal of Azov is significant in that it could be used to guide U.S. foreign policy. Though MMP was created and has operated with funding from the Departments of Defense and Homeland Security, the papers written by its researchers are cited in academic research, reports and testimony to Congress, government-funded institutions and initiatives, and federal agencies. The website functions as an authoritative source for information on militant and extremist groups, and their interactions and connections over time. At the very least, Azov’s removal means MMP’s list no longer contradicts the State Department’s decision allowing U.S. military assistance to the group, and therefore cannot be used to criticize it.

The commander of Washington’s USS Carney warship and other crewmembers described to CBS News in an interview on 30 June their experience in dealing with Yemeni attacks on southern Israel during the onset of the war in Gaza.

“We started getting indications that there was possibly some sort of attack coming from the south towards Israel,” said one of the lieutenants, Dennis Morral.

“I think it was anywhere from 25 to 35 UAVs and land attack cruise missiles had been launched, and some of them were headed up the Red Sea. We picked up the very first one-way attack UAV on our system approximately 60 or 70 miles away from us,” said Commander Jeremy Robertson.

The USS Carney intercepted several missiles and drones that came within its range. CBS News describes the interceptions as “the first American shots fired in defense of Israel.”

Another video shows a prisoner being forced to enter a tunnel attached to a wire held by Israeli soldiers above ground.

"Guys, the army are using me as a lure," the prisoner calls out, hoping resistance fighters hear him and know not to open fire.

The director of Gaza’s al-Shifa hospital, who had been detained by Israeli forces for more than seven months, says he was put through “severe torture” during his detention in Israeli prisons.

Mohammed Abu Salmiya was among more than 50 Palestinians released and returned to Gaza, according to a medical source in the besieged territory.

Salmiya told a press conference on Monday that detainees “are subjected to all kinds of torture,” in Israel’s prisons and detention centers.

“There was almost daily torture. Cells are broken into and prisoners are beaten.”

“Several inmates died in interrogation centers and were deprived of food and medicine,” the hospital chief said.

The Israel occupation army needs 10,000 more soldiers immediately amid the ongoing war in the Gaza Strip, Defence Minister Yoav Gallant said on Monday. Gallant made his comment during a session of the Knesset’s Foreign Affairs and Defence Committee.

Last week, Israel’s Supreme Court ruled unanimously that ultra-Orthodox Jews must be subject to the military draft, after decades of being exempt from military service. According to Gallant, the army can recruit 4,800 soldiers from the ultra-Orthodox community.

Israel has flouted a UN Security Council resolution demanding an immediate ceasefire with its ongoing military offensive against the Palestinians in Gaza since October last year. The occupation state has faced international condemnation for the brutality of its assault, which has killed at least 37,900 Palestinians, mostly women and children, and wounded more than 87,000 others. Large parts of Gaza lie in ruins amid a crippling blockade of food, clean water and medicine.

As the Biden presidency teeters in the wake of last week's disastrous debate performance that left no doubt about his sharp mental decline, discussion of Vice President Kamala Harris's prospects for becoming the party's new 2024 standard-bearer tend to focus on her (lack of) electability and Democrats' reluctance to pass over a black woman who holds the title that makes her a natural successor.

Little attention has been paid to what might be Kamala's greatest asset: her name on the $91.2 million Biden-Harris campaign account. Per federal election rules, in the event Biden drops out, that account can't simply be handed over to whomever the party eventually nominates for president -- unless it's Harris.

According to NBC News, the question of what would happen to the Biden-Harris war chest surfaced on a tense Sunday conference call hosted by the Biden campaign with an audience that included some 40 top Biden donors. While denying Biden might drop out, campaign manager Julie Chavez Rodriguez's answer was that most of the money would fall into Harris's control.

Israeli intelligence agencies are increasingly apprehensive about a potential new front emerging against the regime, as the Yemeni Ansarullah resistance movement is expanding its influence in the North Africa region.

The Israeli i24NEWS news television channel, citing exclusive details authorized for release by Israeli security services, reported that Ansarullah is expanding its operations into areas in North Africa, Sudan, Egypt, and Morocco. The alleged expansion is being conducted “with the intention to target Israel from these regions.”

The news outlet added that the Tel Aviv regime is making attempts to transfer weapons and military forces to these areas.

“The horror scenario is that of a missile falling into the Mediterranean Sea, which would be a catastrophe,” an unnamed source familiar with the matter told i24NEWS.

Consumer loans including credit cards, mortgages, car loans, small business loans, corporate loans, private credit instruments. When interest rates were low, that worked fine. Decent returns for low volatility. But now inflation is still not at target and higher interest rates are the only thing keeping inflation from coming back with a vengeance. that means debt is expensive AF.

The Israeli military has issued a new evacuation order for parts of Khan Younis and Rafah in the southern Gaza Strip.

The regime on Monday ordered the Palestinians living in eastern Khan Younis, Gaza’s second-largest city, to urgently leave to an unspecified zone.

The warning for Qarara, Bani Suhaila and other towns in the two governorates, was made in an official statement on social media.

“Fear and extreme anxiety have gripped people after the evacuation order,” said Bani Suhaila resident Ahmad Najjar. “There is a large displacement of residents.”

Germany continues its irrational “preparation for war” against Russia. Recent media reports indicate that the country’s military counterintelligence service is about to receive additional support to prepare itself against foreign threats in the event of a conflict with Russia. Berlin seems to be ready to take all possible steps towards an open war with Moscow, even though there is obviously no possibility of Germany being victorious in such a conflict.

Germany’s Military Counterintelligence Service (MAD) is apparently preparing for a conflict scenario. According to the German newspaper Welt, the MAD is seeking to expand its operational capacity, not only in domestic territories but also abroad. The aim is to make the German armed forces capable of dealing with the challenges that a war scenario poses. The MAD plans to become capable of monitoring not only the activities of German soldiers – which is typical of counterintelligence services – but also spying on foreign and enemy troops.

If you’ve ventured into the corners of the health space on social media, it’s likely you’ve run into double board certified M.D. and advocate for an animal-based diet, Paul Saladino.

Saladino became disillusioned with traditional medicine’s lack of focus on nutrition when he noticed that it’s blatantly ignored when addressing the skyrocketing health issues in American citizens.

“I think that ultra-processed foods are the main problem for humans, but if you ask me as a physician, or any of my colleagues, we’re never taught about nutrition,” Saladino tells Dave Rubin of “The Rubin Report.”

The attitude the government has taken toward the idea that ultra-processed foods might be making people sick has set Saladino’s “alarm bells off” and made him believe there’s something “going on that’s not copasetic.”
