Blaze News investigative journalist Steve Baker said the FBI wants him to self-surrender to the agency Friday morning in Dallas over his January 6 reporting.

What are the details?

Baker told Blaze News he's been instructed to turn himself in at the agency's field office at 7 a.m. wearing "shorts and sandals" — which he said signals that the plan likely is to go for "humiliation" and place him in an orange jumpsuit, handcuff him, and do the "prisoner transport routine."

He added that after he's taken to the Dallas courthouse, he'll appear at a 10 a.m. hearing before a federal magistrate.

"They didn’t have to go this route," Baker told Blaze News on Tuesday evening. "We have been told that my charges are only misdemeanors. And my attorneys have been assured that this will be an ‘in and out’ affair with 'no intention' to detain me. But rather than issuing a simple order to appear, they went the 'arrest warrant' route."

In a landmark decision, the Queensland Supreme Court has ruled that the COVID-19 vaccine mandates for police officers and paramedics were unlawful.

Justice Glenn Martin delivered a detailed 115-page judgment on Tuesday, stating that the directives issued by Police Commissioner Katarina Carroll and John Wakefield, director general of Queensland Health, violated the Human Rights Act.

The contentious mandate required all police and health workers, including paramedics, to be vaccinated against COVID-19 as a condition of their employment.

Justice Martin’s ruling effectively nullifies the December 2021 mandate, preventing Commissioner Carroll and Mr. Wakefield from enforcing the vaccination policy.

Italy is “not at war with Russia” and has no plans to send troops to Ukraine, Italian Foreign Minister Antonio Tajani clarified on Tuesday.

The remarks were part of a wave of denial from NATO nations about harboring any plans to deploy troops on behalf of Kiev in its fight against Moscow. Italy’s continuing support for Ukraine does not include such an option, Tajani insisted.

“When we talk about sending troops, we must be very cautious because we must not make people think we are at war with Russia,” he explained.

Big Oil companies and plastic producers have known for more than 30 years that recycling is not a permanent solution, a new report has claimed.

The left-leaning Center for Climate Integrity (CCI) found that companies including Exxon Chemical, and the Society of the Plastics Industry (SPI) have misled the public about recycling to avoid regulatory action and revenue losses.

The report claimed that the plastic industry has been aware that certain plastics are impossible to repurpose, but are mixed in with those that can, making sorting difficult and expensive.

While the companies are said to have known about recycling was not economically or technically feasible, they have continued to push recycling in marketing campaigns that still exist today.

However, industry insiders have been sounding the alarm for decades, saying plastic recycling is 'uneconomical' and that it 'cannot go on indefinitely,' according to newly surfaced documents featured in the report.

Claire's Observations: Well, there you have it; I am quite sure that the "Climatistas" will scream, "This can't be!!"  But please look at the evidence this article provides, and why "recycling" was pushed.

The US has long been working in Ukraine to prepare operatives for subversive work against Russia, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said on Monday. His comments came after the New York Times claimed the CIA has been actively involved in Ukraine since the 2014 Maidan coup.

“The work of so-called American advisers, most of whom departmentally belonged to the CIA, is well known,” Peskov told TASS when asked to comment on the NYT article published on Sunday.

These people “occupied jobs in the building of the presidential administration of Ukraine… this is not a secret,” the Kremlin spokesman added.

According to Peskov, the CIA and other US agencies began operating in Ukraine long before 2014, actively recruiting people and preparing them for “subversive work against our country.”

A senior staffer at the US Congress is facing an ethics probe over a public speech in which he boasted of delivering sniper scopes to the Ukrainian army, the New York Times reported on Monday.

The outlet described Kyle Parker as a “senior Senate adviser” for the US Commission on Security and Cooperation in Europe, commonly known as the Helsinki Commission. Parker is one of the committee’s longest-serving aides, described by the times as “a driving force” behind the 2012 Magnitsky Act.

According to a confidential report by the commission’s director and general counsel, leaked to the Times, Parker is being investigated over concerns that his multiple trips to Ukraine and donations of military technology might make him an unregistered foreign agent.

The UK, Poland, Czech Republic, Finland, and Sweden all spoke up on Tuesday against French President Emmanuel Macron’s suggestion that Western troops could be deployed to Ukraine.

While there was no consensus about sending ground forces, Macron said on Monday following a pro-Ukraine summit in Paris that “in terms of dynamics, we cannot exclude anything” in the conflict between Moscow and Kiev.

There are “no plans for NATO combat troops on the ground in Ukraine,” the secretary-general of the US-led bloc, Jens Stoltenberg, told AP in response to Macron’s remarks.

US State Department fixture and Under Secretary of State for Political Affairs, Victoria Nuland, aka “Regime Change Karen,” apparently woke up one day recently, took the safety off her nuclear-grade mouth, and inadvertently blew up the West’s Ukraine narrative.

Until now, Americans have been told that all the US taxpayer cash being earmarked for Ukrainian aid is to help actual Ukrainians. Anyone notice that the $75 billion American contribution isn’t getting the job done on the battlefield? Victory in military conflict isn’t supposed to look like defeat. Winning also isn’t defined as, “Well, on a long enough time axis, like infinity, our chance of defeat will eventually approach zero.” And the $178 billion in total from all allies combined doesn’t seem to be doing the trick, either. Short of starting a global war with weapons capable of extending the conflict beyond a regional one, it’s not like they’ve been holding back. The West is breaking the bank. All for some vague, future Ukrainian “victory” that they don’t seem to want to clearly define. We keep hearing that the support will last “as long as it takes.” For what exactly? By not clearly defining it, they can keep moving the goal posts.

French President Emmanuel Macron's statement on the possibility of sending troops from European NATO member states to Ukraine may lead to an increased outflow of capital from Europe, primarily to the US, a source in financial circles of Brussels told TASS.

"This is a signal about the increased risk of long-term investments in the European economy, and it will contribute to further capital outflow from Europe. First of all to the US," the source said.

"Today, geopolitical risks are closely scrutinized by investors, especially when making long-term decisions related to investments in industry. Statements about the possible direct involvement of the military of EU states in the war in Ukraine send a serious signal about the threat of escalation and spillover of hostilities beyond the borders of this country. This very possibility, voiced by the head of state, becomes a serious risk that must be taken into account," he emphasized.

Ukraine is on track to lose additional territories in the coming months due to a lack of military support from the US, White House National Security Communications adviser John Kirby said on Tuesday.

“If they continue to get no support from the US, in a month or two, it is very likely that the Russians will achieve more territorial gains and have more success against Ukrainian frontlines in terms of just territory gain,” Kirby told reporters.

He pointed out that such a situation could happen in eastern Ukraine, but also potentially in the south of the country.

Kirby stressed that the situation on the ground is dire.

US President Joe Biden said on Tuesday that the need to provide additional support to Ukraine is urgent.

Russia has repeatedly warned NATO countries that arms supplies to Ukraine would be considered legitimate targets. Moscow has accused NATO countries of "playing with fire" by arming Ukraine, emphasizing that such actions hinder the possibility of Russia-Ukraine negotiations.

As Paris hosted a meeting where members of the EU and NATO discussed the situation in Ukraine, announcing new measures to deliver munitions to the Kiev regime, French President Emmanuel Macron said that sending Western ground troops to Ukraine is a possible option.

French lawmakers have been swift to respond to recent remarks by French President Emmanuel Macron on not ruling out sending Western ground forces to Ukraine.

A flurry of vehement warnings flooded the Internet, with the social media accounts of a swathe of French politicians highlighting the dangers of such rhetoric.

We are convinced that the defeat of Russia is indispensable to security and stability in Europe,” Macron told reporters after Paris hosted a meeting of some 20 European leaders to discuss the situation in Ukraine on Tuesday.

“There’s no consensus today to send in an official, endorsed manner troops on the ground. But in terms of dynamics, nothing can be ruled out,” he said, adding, “We will do everything that we must so that Russia does not win.”

The US Army has branded Moscow the “enemy” while promoting a newly-published manual on the Russian military on social media.

The Combined Arms Doctrine Directorate’s (CADD) new 280-page manual gives a detailed overview of Russian military strategy and tactics, and tries to predict how the country would conduct itself in future conflicts. The CADD promoted the manual in a post on X (formerly Twitter) on Monday, asking, “Do you know your enemy?”

The primary focus is on Moscow’s ground forces, which would be pitted against the US Army in a hypothetical direct war.

Western countries will “neutralize” Russia’s westernmost exclave of Kaliningrad if Moscow seriously endangers NATO’s security, Lithuania’s ambassador to Sweden Linas Linkevicius has said.

On Monday, Hungary became the last NATO member to ratify the Nordic nation’s bid to join the bloc, thus removing the only remaining serious obstacle on Stockholm’s path to the alliance. The potential deployment of NATO troops to Ukraine will lead to a “catastrophic scenario,” and could be interpreted as a “declaration of war” on Moscow, top Russian senator Konstantin Kosachev has said.

The Vice Speaker of Russia’s upper chamber, the Federation Council, offered his take on remarks by French President Emmanuel Macron on the possibility of sending troops in a Telegram post on Tuesday. The approach exhibited by the French leader carries a risk of the situation devolving into a “catastrophic scenario,” Kosachev warned, stating that the move would not be tolerated by the Kremlin.

“This is the line beyond which it’s no longer just NATO’s involvement in the war – this has been happening for a long time, but can be interpreted as the alliance entering direct hostilities, or even as a declaration of war,” Kosachev wrote.

Macron went on to say that several NATO countries have chosen to INDIVIDUALLY sign "Security Agreements" with Ukraine, and then he dropped a rhetorical bombshell by announcing some NATO countries may choose send their own troops into Ukraine to join the fight.

The implications of such a move are staggering, and the reactions from Russia are just as staggering.

The possible decision to send ground troops to Ukraine by NATO countries could be interpreted as the alliance’s direct participation in hostilities and even as a declaration of war, Konstantin Kosachev, the deputy speaker of the Federation Council, said following the statement by French President Emmanuel Macron, who stated after a meeting of European leaders in Paris that such a scenario had been discussed, but the participants failed to reach a consensus.

Webmaster addition: Below there is a report that Stoltenberg has declared that NATO will not send troops into Ukraine. But if Macron has his way and individual NATO member states send in troops, Russia won't see that distinction.

A coalition of Palestinian organisations has called for a "total energy embargo" on Israel until it halts its war on the Gaza Strip.

Launched on Monday, the Global Energy Embargo has called for organisations, workers and environmental activists to stop all energy exports to Israel until it puts an end to "the genocide and its regime of apartheid and ethnic cleansing against the Palestinian people".

The campaign is working with a team of researchers to analyse energy flows to Israel and identify choke points in its supply chain.

In addition to halting fuel imports, the coalition is also demanding an end to Israeli gas exports to Europe.

US President Joe Biden said Monday night Israel must make peace with the Palestinians to survive while warning that its “incredibly conservative government” would cost it international support.

Speaking in an appearance on NBC’s Late Night with Seth Meyers, Biden also signaled that a temporary ceasefire in Gaza could be at hand, saying that Israel has agreed to pause its offensive during the upcoming Muslim holy month of Ramadan if a deal is reached to release some hostages held by Hamas.

The US president, who stressed that he is a Zionist, said the “only way Israel ultimately survives… here’s the deal, they also have to… take advantage of an opportunity to have peace and security for Israelis and Palestinians who are being used as pawns by Hamas.”

Analysts: Lebanon Bracing for More Deadly Conflict With Israel

Men check the site of an Israeli air strike in the southern Lebanese village of Jibshit on Feb. 27, 2024.

Lebanon is bracing for more deadly conflict, analysts say, as Israel launches its deepest airstrikes inside the country in years.

Israel’s airstrike Monday on Baalbek, in the Beka’a Valley deep inside Lebanon, is the most significant, they say, since the one that killed top Hamas official Saleh Al-Arouri in the capital, Beirut, in early January.

The Iran-backed Lebanese militant group Hezbollah said it shot down an Israeli drone over Baalbek, a Hezbollah stronghold where it has an air defense unit. It then fired a missile that was intercepted by Israel, landing near a synagogue close to Nazareth in northern Israel without causing injury or damage.

Later, an Israeli fighter jet carried out the targeted killing of Hassan Salami, a senior Hezbollah officer in southern Lebanon, alleging he was responsible for carrying out rocket attacks on northern Israel.

Analyst Dania Koleilat Khatib told VOA that “neither side wants to show that they are backing down, because they will lose their credibility.”

Khatib, who is president of the Research Center for Cooperation and Peace Building in Beirut, said, “You have this increasing tit-for-tat. If Hezbollah doesn’t show their ‘resistance,’ they’re politically finished. If they put up a fight, they might incur losses like in 2006 [with Israel], but they will renew their legitimacy past a few years. They rebuilt their capability, and now, supposedly, they have 150,000 precision-guided missiles.”

Lebanese analyst Patricia Karam, a nonresident fellow at the Washington-based Arab Center, said that war is “looming between Lebanon and Israel.”

Claire's Observations:  Lebanon is certainly in the cross-hairs; Israel desperately wants, and needs water from the Litani River, which is just 5 kilometers beyond the current Israeli border.  One has to wonder how much territory Israel is ready to steal here, if Hezbollah is incapable of fighting them of to retain territorial Lebanese integrity?!?

New reports confirm months of Israeli torture, abuse, and sexual violence against Palestinian prisoners

For months Palestinian prisoners have shared testimonies of torture at the hands of Israeli military and prison authorities. New reports shed more light on the abuse, particularly sexual violence, carried out inside Israeli detention centers.

Content warning: Graphic descriptions of sexual assault.

Two new reports came out last week regarding the torture and cruel treatment of Palestinians in Israeli prisons and detention centers since October 7, including reports of sexual violence against Palestinian women and girls. The reports have renewed conversations around the harsh conditions of Palestinians being held in Israeli captivity, which Palestinian detainees themselves and rights groups have been sounding the alarm over for months.

On February 19, UN human rights experts expressed their alarm over what they described as “egregious human rights violations” carried out by Israeli forces against Palestinian women and girls in Gaza. In addition to the extrajudicial and arbitrary execution of women and children in Gaza, the UN experts highlighted the treatment of female Palestinian detainees in Israeli prisons.

“Many have reportedly been subjected to inhuman and degrading treatment, denied menstruation pads, food and medicine, and severely beaten. On at least one occasion, Palestinian women detained in Gaza were allegedly kept in a cage in the rain and cold, without food,” the statement said.

“We are particularly distressed by reports that Palestinian women and girls in detention have also been subjected to multiple forms of sexual assault, such as being stripped naked and searched by male Israeli army officers. At least two female Palestinian detainees were reportedly raped while others were reportedly threatened with rape and sexual violence,” the experts said, adding that photos of Palestinian female detainees in “degrading circumstances” were also reportedly taken by the Israeli army and uploaded online.

Claire's Observations:  Your tax dollars are supporting this, with every dime and bullet the US gives to Israel;  doesn't this confirmed report of Israeli torture of Palestinians make you feel just great?!?
