A study published in the Nature Portfolio Journal warns that Australia’s soil is becoming a net carbon emitter and threatens to ruin the country’s net zero goals. “They claim that over the next 80 years, Australian soil … will release up to 100 megatons of CO2 into the atmosphere,” Sky News host James Macpherson said. “There you have it … dirt is now a major threat to the future of planet Earth. “I reckon some greenie councillor is going to make you concrete everything now that they know dirt is a climate criminal.”

Secretary of State Tony Blinken says that Ukraine will be joining NATO. Ukraine is a corrupt, non-democratic, authoritarian republic known as the most corrupt country in Europe. Under Article 5, this means that an attack on Ukraine will be considered an attack on the United States. As David Sachs says, “If you want nuclear war, vote Joe Biden in November.”

A backup power line supplying the Russian-occupied Zaporizhzhia nuclear power plant in Ukraine has gone down, the Russian-controlled management of the plant said on Thursday.

Ukraine's state-run nuclear power company, Energoatom, said the main 750 kilovolt (kV) power line, recently restored by Ukrainian engineers, was still running.

The six reactors at the Zaporizhzhia plant, held by Russia and located close to the front line of the war in Ukraine, are not in operation but it relies on external power to keep its nuclear material cool and prevent a catastrophic accident.

NATO is going to “build a bridge” towards Ukraine becoming a member state of the defensive alliance, U.S. Secretary of State Antony Blinken said on the organisation’s 75th birthday.

North Atlantic Treaty Organisation member states met in Brussels at the alliance’s headquarters on Thursday to toast the 75th anniversary of its founding, among them U.S. Secretary of State Antony Blinken who like others used the occasion to discuss renewed Russian aggression and the potential place of Ukraine among its members. He emphasised the view, already articulated multiple times by NATO leaders in recent years, that “Ukraine will become a member of NATO”.

Webmaster addition: NATO's own rules state that a nation with an ongoing territorial dispute cannot join!
