"A liberal's paradise would be a place where everybody has guaranteed employment, free comprehensive healthcare, free education, free food, free housing, free clothing, free utilities, and only law enforcement has guns.

And believe it or not, such a place does indeed already exist: It's called Prison." -- Sheriff Joe Arpaio, Phoenix, AZ

The European Union is proposing a controversial piece of legislation that would effectively ban the right-to-repair for vehicles older than 15 years old. The aim according to the European Commission is “to renew the car fleet and encourage Europeans to buy new, environmentally friendly vehicles.” Thus, forcing individuals to buy newer cars, and more often while many other individuals will undoubtedly be priced out of car ownership, which will satisfy what is arguably, the real aim, the planned immobilisation of the people.

In the convoluted narrative surrounding the Ukraine crisis, recent revelations have brought to light a series of covert operations and questionable dealings that challenge the mainstream narrative. The New York Times is now reporting that the US had 12 secret spy bases in Ukraine, playing a role in the toppling of the government in 2014. The intricate web extends to Pentagon partnerships with Ukrainian biolabs, plans for Ukraine to join NATO, Hunter Biden's involvement with Burisma, and Joe Biden's alleged withholding of $1 billion until Ukraine fired the Burisma prosecutor.

Just when you thought the skies over America were finally free of Chinese spy balloons … well they are, at least in this latest case of a mystery object that was spotted while flying over the western US.

Officials at the North American Aerospace Defense Command (NORAD) observed the balloon, reportedly floating at an altitude between 43,000 and 45,000 feet, late last week and on Friday scrambled a fighter jet to intercept it to get a closer look. The jet determined there was no threat to US national security, finding it was likely a hobbyist balloon.

A little more light is being shed on the fate of NASA's Mars helicopter, Ingenuity, thanks to fresh images snapped by the Perseverance rover.

After an expectation-busting 72 flights over almost three years, the helicopter was finally retired in January 2024 when NASA's Jet Propulsion Laboratory (JPL) found rotor damage following a quick up-and-down flight to check the helicopter's systems.

NASA confirmed that Ingenuity was upright and in communication with ground controllers but would fly no more. Images released at the time indicated that the tip of at least one rotor blade had suffered damage. Subsequent images showed a missing upper rotor blade, however, the pictures were frustratingly low resolution.

Some recent Intel microprocessors are crashing systems – and the problem appears related to the chips' firmware and clock rates settings.

RAD, a maker of game development tools for Epic Games' Unreal Engine, on Wednesday published a note that describes decompression failures with its Oodle Data software and crashes in games built with Unreal.

The coding biz, a subsidiary of Epic, said it believes the errors stem from a hardware glitch affecting mainly Intel Core i9 13900K and 14900K processors, and possibly 13700, 14700, and related silicon too.

Microsoft says that February 13's security update for Windows 11 might "face installation issues."

Installation may get as far as 96 percent, but for some unlucky Windows 11 customers a message is then shown: "Something didn't go as planned. No need to worry – undoing changes. Please keep your computer on."

Complaints about installation problems have rumbled since patch KB5034765 was released, and last night Microsoft finally admitted via its Windows Release Health dashboard that there is a problem.

Windows 11 23H2 and 22H2 are affected, though Microsoft has yet to detail precisely what might have gone wrong. The current workaround is to delete the hidden folder C:\$WinREAgent, possibly restart, and then try the update again. According to Microsoft: "After following these steps, installing the February 2024 security update should succeed."

Undersea data cables in the Red Sea have reportedly been damaged, months after Yemeni Houthi rebels threatened to do so.

At least 15 submarine cables pass through the Bab al-Mandab Strait at the southern end of the Red Sea, a body of water just 26km wide at some points. Yemen is the Strait’s northern shore.

The first reports of damage to submarine cables off the coast of Yemen began emerged on Monday morning, with Israeli news outlet Globes claiming that four cables (EIG, AAE-1, Seacom and TGN-EA) had experienced damage. Seacom has reportedly confirmed damage to a cable it operates on a stretch between Kenya and Egypt.

"The location of the cable break is significant due to its geopolitical sensitivity and ongoing tensions, making it a challenging environment for maintenance and repair operations," Seacom said. "The team is currently working towards restoration timelines and will communicate these plans with our clients."

The Ukrainian counteroffensive failed, and Russia’s liberation of Avdeyevka signalled a new reality that Volodymyr Zelensky was forced to recognise, the American magazine Time wrote on February 24. Yet, despite the acknowledgement of the impossibility of Ukraine’s victory growing day by day, the Kiev regime insists on begging for more weapons from Western countries.

“The long-awaited counteroffensive last year failed,” Anatol Lieven, director of the Eurasia Program at the Quincy Institute for Responsible Statecraft, wrote in an editorial, adding that Washington’s rhetoric had changed accordingly.

“The Biden Administration’s strategy is now to sustain Ukrainian defence until after the US presidential elections, in the hope of wearing down Russian forces in a long war of attrition,” Lieven continued.

According to the author, the hope now is that Kiev’s forces will achieve the long-awaited breakthrough in 2025 or perhaps the following year, but “Russia will never agree at the negotiating table to surrender land that it has managed to hold on the battlefield.”

“Many Ukrainians in private were prepared to accept the loss of some territories as the price of peace if Ukraine failed to win them back on the battlefield and if the alternative was years of bloody war with little prospect of success. The Biden Administration needs to get America on board too,” he added.

However, Lieven explains that those who believe in Ukraine’s final victory “have engaged in hopes that range from the overly optimistic to the magical,” with an example being the delusional retired US Army General, Ben Hodges, who pushes the false idea “that Russia can be defeated, and even driven from Crimea, by long-range missile bombardment.”

Google parent company Alphabet lost over $70 billion in market value, with stock prices falling as much as 4.4 percent on Monday following the pause on Google Gemini’s AI image creator and posts surfaced of Gemini’s responses in the chat feature.

According to Bloomberg, Melius Research analyst Ben Reitzes warned in a research note that problems that have arisen with Gemini may fuel the perception that Google is "an unreliable source for AI," as many companies try to launch their own AI platforms.

"We have been arguing that Search behavior is about to change - with new AI-infused features," said Reitzes. "This ‘once in a generation’ change by itself creates opportunities for competitors, but even more if a meaningful portion of users grow concerned about Google’s hallucinations and bias."

The plunge came as Google DeepMind CEO Demis Hassabis said on Monday that Gemini’s image generating feature would be offline for a "few weeks" to address issues raised, according to the New York Post.

As lawmakers have days to strike an agreement to avert a partial government shutdown on Friday, President Biden has called a meeting with the 'big four' Congressional leaders to discuss how the United States can funnel more money to Ukraine, while also convincing lawmakers to strike a deal to keep the government's lights on.

Democrats to avoid a partial government shutdown, or side with the House Freedom Caucus who are happy to play chicken over a shutdown.

Last Friday, Johnson told members that another stopgap could be required to buy time while lawmakers iron out final details. That said, April 30 is a hard deadline for Democrats, who will refuse to support 1% across-the-board funding cuts that kick in after that date.

Johnson is caught between House conservatives opposed to further spending, and establishment-loyal military hawks who want to avoid defense cuts that would be triggered if Congress fails to enact new full-year spending appropriations by April 30. The conservative Freedom caucus, meanwhile, has no problem with a shutdown that would bring the country closer to those 1% cuts.

According to Axios, GOP members are pessimistic about today's White House meeting, while the WSJ suggests that such White House summits "tend to be more stagecraft than statecraft—high-profile opportunities for both sides to show they are fighting for their parties’ priorities, rather than nitty-gritty policy negotiations."

For months, the Republican House and Democratic Senate have deferred on Congress’s responsibility to set new spending levels and priorities for the federal government for fiscal year 2024, instead passing a series of stopgap measures by repeatedly extending spending levels set back in December 2022.

Now once again time is running out. In the coming hours or days, Johnson could seal a deal with congressional Democrats and try to pass fresh full-year spending legislation. Two thirds of lawmakers would need to approve it. Johnson could put it off a few days or weeks with a short-term patch, again with Democrats’ help. Or he could try to rely on his narrow and rebellious Republican majority to pass another stopgap bill through September, triggering automatic across-the-board spending cuts. -WSJ

Former President Donald Trump, who moved quickly to appeal a recent judgment against him in New York civil court, has former liberal Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg to thank according to filings by his attorneys submitted earlier this week.

A previous opinion by Ginsburg is cited heavily in Trump’s appeal of a $454 million judgment by Judge Arthur Engoron concluding his real estate business artificially inflated the value of its assets in order to obtain advantageous business contracts. In a unanimous 2019 ruling on Timbs v. Indiana, Justice Ginsburg wrote on behalf of the court that the Eighth Amendment of the U.S. Constitution, which prohibits excessive fines, is applicable in state cases.

During a recent Fox News town hall, President Trump read from the Eighth Amendment, which states, “Excessive bail shall not be required, nor excessive fines imposed, nor cruel and unusual punishments inflicted.”

PREPPING THE SHEEP

In the last issue, we highlighted the UK (military together with presstitutes) and Australia (presstitutes) have begun preparing the nations for war with Russia. We had the Swedes do the same, and now the clog-wearers are getting in on the mania. The entire EU will soon be on this.

Now, I know what you’re thinking. The Brits? Ok, these are the same people who think Spam is cuisine, and that was AFTER ruling much of the world. Can you imagine walking into a ridiculously well stocked buffet hall with every imaginable cuisine available to you — Argentinian asado, Thai coconut curries, sushi, lasagna, garlic prawns — and you say, “No, I’ll have the Spam and beans, thanks.” So I’m going to just put the Brits and their decision making capabilities into the “questionable” bucket.

The same for the Ozzies. Why? Easy. These are the same people who choose to live with eight of the world’s 10 most dangerous animals, and I’m not even counting the politicians, so… But this is clearly a rollout. The coordination has all the hallmarks of the COVID scam rollout. And look, it’s all the same players. Next up Canada and New Zealand. I’d bet Nancy Pelosi’s stock portfolio on it.

Army commander tells NATO country to prepare for war with Russia

The Netherlands should be seriously afraid of war, and our society should prepare for it…Russia is getting stronger, ” Lieutenant General Martin Wijnen, commander of the Royal Netherlands Army, said in an interview with the newspaper De Telegraaf.

It’s the same method they used with COVID. Begin by terrorising the people, point to the problem, and provide a “solution”. If we are to meet the goals of the WEF (clearly and in repeated ways being population reduction), then what better way to get there than war. Ukraine was the pilot project. Clearly, it’s not about winning. That was never going to happen, and sadly the military industrial complex knew this. It is nothing to these psychopaths that over a million Ukrainians are dead, and they’re now apparently looking to call up women. You know, equality and all that. Gender is a spectrum, right?

This brings up something else I thought worth mentioning. A US person who shall remain anonymous said something to me just the other day and I thought summed up how ignorant and naive many folks really are.

He said to me, “Let the Arabs fight each other over there, and let our military go teach these backward people a lesson.” It is shocking to me how ill informed many in the West are. How ignorant of the many ways wars are fought.

First off, Iran is, for example, a country with 90 million people and a truly formidable fighting force, some of the world’s most advanced technology and hence missiles. They could entirely level Israel if they so choose. And we’ve not mentioned Turkey, Russia, or, of course, China.

What is shocking to me is that this particular gent couldn’t think beyond what he sees on the news and put two and two together. Consider the open border in the US. You know, the same borders that have been wiiiiide open now for many years. The same ones where at present there are an estimated 12,000 illegals crossing… DAILY. Now, I have to ask the question. How many Hezbollah fighters are not in Gaza, Syria, or the Middle East, but in fact in the US? Come on, people. Think. And no, it’s not only Hezbollah.

Officials, lawmakers raise national security concerns about spike in Chinese nationals

Griff Jenkins: Chinese migrants raising 'concerns' for officials

Claire's Observations:  It's not only illegal immigrants from the Middle East; Now, we have massive illegal migrations from China hitting the borders.  As reported one week ago at fox news:  Chinese illegal immigration on pace to break records at US southern border

The Fox News correspondent has the latest on the influx of Chinese migrants at California's southern border on "The Big Weekend Show."

"A dramatic increase in Chinese illegal immigration is on track to break records at the southern border, with apprehensions from the communist country in one sector alone already eclipsing fiscal 2021 in just a few days.

U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) sources tell Fox News that between Saturday and Monday"c there were 452 Chinese nationals apprehended by Border Patrol in the San Diego Sector alone."

But the questions must be asked, and then answered; Why now?!? Why so many?!?  And what is their purpose when they get here??????????????

In the ever-shifting landscape of the stock market, recent data is raising eyebrows and sending warning signals about the health of the market. Key players like $NVDA, $META, $MSFT, and $AMZN have been the driving force, accounting for more than 90% of the market cap gains in the Nasdaq 100 this year. This concentration of gains in a handful of stocks raises concerns about the broader market's reliance on a select few.
