This country has been having a nationwide nervous breakdown since 9/11. A nation of people suddenly broke, the market economy goes to shit, and they’re threatened on every side by an unknown, sinister enemy. But I don't think fear is a very effective way of dealing with things—of responding to reality. Fear is just another word for ignorance.”

In the early 1960s, the Soviet Union began its Vostok program with a series of unmanned test flights to investigate the possibilities and means for a crewed mission, before sending Yuri Gagarin into space. Korabl-Sputnik 1, known as "Sputnik 4" in the West, was the first test flight of the Vostok program. The 4.5-ton spacecraft carried a variety of scientific instruments, including a television camera and a self-contained biological cabin with a dummy astronaut. The purpose of the mission was to study the operation of life support systems and the stresses of flight.

The story of a mysterious legless man known as "Jerome", who came to Sandy Cove one day in 1863, is famous in Nova Scotia. He was found one morning, probably in September, sitting in front of a large rock by two fishermen on the beach of the Bay of Fundy. He suffered from cold and exposure. Within his reach were a box of biscuits, a loaf of bread and a jug of water. The most important thing is that both the legs of that person were missing and were cut off above the knees. Later inspection revealed that the dissection had been performed by a skilled surgeon and that the wounds, still fresh, had been properly bandaged. It was clear that a passing ship had left the stranger on the beach.

In the heart of Harlem, New York City, at the northwest corner of 128th Street and 5th Avenue, is a small rectangular space. A NYC Parks Department sign attached to the perimeter fence identifies the nearly empty lot as "Collier Brothers Park." It is one of the smallest parks in New York City, consisting of a few benches, a few potted plants, and several trees to provide shade. New York City has dozens of such 'pocket parks' scattered throughout the city, so this is not unusual. The strangest thing is the story of the brothers after whom the park is named.

In today's advertising landscape, it cannot be denied that some contemporary advertisements have been criticized for objectifying women.

However, when we look back at mid-20th century advertising, we are faced with a shocking reality: Companies could, and did, engage in marketing practices that would be heavily condemned today. Will go.

During the era before the Civil Rights Movement, some of the most prominent brands of the time, including household names like Kellogg's, used shockingly sexist slogans as part of their marketing campaigns.

A particularly terrible example was Kellogg's infamous tagline, "The harder a wife works, the cuter she looks."

In addition to deeply problematic sexism in advertising, this era was also marked by the presence of openly racist advertisements that shamelessly perpetuated racial stereotypes and discrimination.

These advertisements endorsed products with offensive names and images, such as the use of caricatures that perpetuate harmful racial prejudices.

Now you have done this. You dropped the moral ball, and according to tradition, Krampus will come for you on December 5th. (Don't even pretend you don't know what you did.) While Santa gives gifts to everyone on his "good" list, his demonic friend, Krampus, cruelly punishes children who commit even the smallest of sins. Let's dare. Who is this Germanic yuletide bad boy with an endless supply of tree branches? Why have Americans started celebrating Santa's turning yang into yin?

The CDC has finally admitted what independent researchers have known since the mRNA jabs were rolled out: vaccinated people are at far higher risk of infection from new variants of the virus than the unvaccinated population.

The CDC quietly made the bombshell admission in an update on its guidance regarding newly emerging variants of Covid-19.

The news comes as the Biden administration continue prepare to bring back full Covid lockdowns, masking, and strict vaccine mandates as the 2024 election looms. In its notice, the CDC admit that people who have received one or more mRNA jabs are far more likely to catch the new variant than their unvaccinated counterparts.

The CDC states that the new variant “may be more capable of causing infection in people who have previously had COVID-19 or who have received COVID-19 vaccines.”

Slaynews.com reports: The admission is a major blow to the “safe and effective” propagandists who pressured the public to take the shots.

The video shows semi-naked men, supposedly from an indigenous tribe, raise their arms in the air and shout: 'The Esequibo is ours.'

Beside them stand the green jumpsuited aircrew of a Venezuelan Mi-17 helicopter, revealing that this is another play in a high-stakes border dispute.

Whether fake or real, is the sort of provocation that further raises tensions as Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro threatens to annex the oil-rich Esequibo region of neighboring Guyana, taking the region to the brink of war.

It is just one of the clips circulating between Venezuelan leaders. Another shows locals taking down the Guyanese flag to replace it with the banner of Venezuela.

And it illustrates just how Venezuela might launch an unorthodox operation to seize territory, according to some seasoned observers.

Earlier this week, Google launched its Gemini AI platform that 'wowed' the tech world. A video posted on YouTube showcased the new AI model's capabilities to process and reason with text, images, audio, video, and code. However, it has since come to light that Google staged the hands-on video demonstration of Gemini AI.

Bloomberg reports that Google modified interactions with Gemini AI to create the demonstration video. The video is titled "Hands-on with Gemini: Interacting with Multimodal AI."

Google admitted in the video's description: "For the purposes of this demo, latency has been reduced, and Gemini outputs have been shortened for brevity." In other words, the model's response time takes much longer than the video showed.
