It seems that those COVID mandate skeptics, those who raised science-based questions about masks, the experimental shots and their side effects and injuries and more – and were attacked, censored, vilified and abused, actually were onto something.

A report from Just the News now has revealed a study that confirms those masks largely were ineffective.

As were some of the shots, according to Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton, who is taking Pfizer to court in his state under its consumer laws.

Just the News said a systematic review of studies of mask mandates for children, published in the British Medical Journal's Archives of Disease in Childhood, concluded there was "no association" with infection or transmission in 16 of 22 studies, along with a "serious" risk of bias in others.

Over the weekend I had the pleasure of talking to my friend and favorite economist, Peter Schiff. Over the course of our exclusive hour-long conversation, I wanted to pick Peter’s brain about several key questions:

  1. Why gold miners are lagging the price of gold

  2. Whether or not the stock market is going to move higher or lower

  3. Why Peter thinks CPI could wind up moving higher yet again

  4. Is there a case for deflation as well as inflation?

  5. Does the forthcoming Bitcoin spot ETFs validate the crypto enough for him to get behind it yet?

Here are all of the key points from our conversation.

Chris Rufo is a conservative activist and writer who understands the left and how they think. In a new column, he is warning right leaning leaders and governors of red states that if Trump wins again, the left will riot and that the time to prepare is now.

We have all seen in recent years how quickly the left can form mobs of people in cities and other locations. If Trump wins, there will be unrest and there will be no excuse for being unprepared.

Rufo is exactly right about this.

More south Texas Democratic officials in border communities are switching, or already switched, to the Republican Party.

Kenedy County Attorney Allison Strauss and Pecos County Sheriff Thomas Perkins announced they are running for reelection as Republicans, leaving the Democratic Party.

They made their announcements ahead of a Dec. 11 deadline for the March primary election.

They join Kleberg County Attorney Kira Talip Sanchez and Terrell County Precinct 3 Commissioner Arnulfo Serna, who already switched parties, citing the border crisis. State Reps. Ryan Guillen, R-Rio Grande City, in Starr County, and J.M. Lozano, R-Kingsville, also previously left the Democratic Party. Lozano’s district includes Kleberg County.

Linus Torvalds, the founder of Linux, has been keeping a low profile lately. But at the Linux Foundation's Open Source Summit Japan, Torvalds and his good friend Dirk Hohndel, the head of Verizon open source, talked about the current state of Linux.

First up, the two talked about the next Linux kernel release, Linux 6.7. Before flying into Tokyo, Torvalds had released the fourth release candidate for 6.7. This means that if all goes well, and Torvalds sees no reason to think that it won't, the next version of Linux will arrive right around Christmas.

Former Speaker of the House Kevin McCarthy has revealed in a Wall Street Journal op-ed that he will leave the House of Representatives at the end of this month.

“I have decided to depart the House at the end of this year to serve America in new ways. I know my work is only getting started,” he said.

“I will continue to recruit our country’s best and brightest to run for elected office,” McCarthy (R-Calif.) continued. “The Republican Party is expanding every day, and I am committed to lending my experience to support the next generation of leaders.”

His announcement came a week prior to the House’s holiday recess.

Democratic Michigan Gov. Gretchen Whitmer signed an executive directive Tuesday forcing the state government's entire fleet of vehicles, both light-duty and heavy-duty, to transition to zero-emission.

Under Whitmer's actions, Michigan's state agencies must convert all state-owned light-duty vehicles to zero-emission vehicles (ZEV) by 2033 and all medium and heavy-duty vehicles by 2040. The governor said the move — which earned endorsements from clean energy groups, the United Auto Workers (UAW) union and Detroit Regional Chamber — would reduce pollution and lead to lower costs in the state.

"Michigan automakers are on the cutting-edge of the world’s switch to zero emission vehicles, and with today’s executive directive to transition our state-owned fleet by 2040, the State of Michigan is leading by example," she said in a statement.

Webmaster addition: Just wait until you see how badly those vehicles perform in winter!
