Thousands of Israelis protest immunity bill that would shield Netanyahu from indictment

Protesters took to the streets of Tel Aviv, rallying against the recently tabled immunity bill that would shield Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu from mounting corruption investigations.

The ‘Defensive Shield for Democracy’ demonstration showed rare unity among nearly all parties in the Israeli opposition. The number of protesters remains unclear, with footage from the scene showing considerable crowds. Organizers say at least 80,000 people took part.

Top Republican Nunes Wants Theresa May to Answer Questions About Steele Dossier, What Did Brennan Know?

Ranking Republican of the House Intelligence Committee Devin Nunes sent a letter Wednesday to President Donald Trump, asking him to question British Prime Minister Theresa May about Great Britain’s role in the FBI’s investigation into the Trump campaign and Russia.

The inquiry would be significant and it is based on newly published information in the British newspaper The Telegraph revealing that former British spy Christopher Steele briefed May’s spy chiefs on the uncorroborated dossier.

Sanders burns Bill Kristol over ‘foolish’ pushing for Iraq war, asks where his apology is

Democratic presidential candidate Bernie Sanders took a swipe at neoconservative Bill Kristol for his “foolish advocacy of the Iraq war,” and questioned whether he had apologized to the country for it yet.
Sanders was responding to a tweet Kristol sent that said, “#Never Sanders,” and linked to a New York Times article about the longtime Vermont senator’s opposition to war.

“Have you apologized to the nation for your foolish advocacy of the Iraq war?” Sanders tweeted, adding he makes “no apologies for opposing it.”

Bloomberg Gun-Ignorance Course Continues Bloomberging Rights Away

For starters, the 2nd Amendment is described as “a legal and political challenge” to gun control and “the elephant in the room” when talking about gun policy. Constitutional rights should not be considered “challenges” to any worthwhile endeavor, but that sort of (un)subtle bias is present throughout the week two presentations.

Obama White House secretly gave Iran access to US financial systems: GOP report

A Senate subcommittee report alleges that the Obama administration secretly sought to give Iran access to U.S. financial systems by sidestepping sanctions kept in place after the 2015 nuclear deal.

The report claims the Obama Treasury Department issued a license to Bank Muscat to authorize "conversion of Iranian assets worth billions of U.S. dollars using the U.S. financial system."

“I think it’s part of a larger fraud of the Iran deal where it was presented as a treaty, but they made an end run around the Senate,” Wall Street Journal editorial board member Bill McGurn told FOX Business on Thursday.

President Donald Trump is calling for an investigation into the allegations outlined in the Senate Permanent Subcommittee on Investigations report.

Trump’s orders to AG on Russia probe worry critics

Intelligence professionals warned Friday that President Donald Trump’s decision to give his loyal attorney general carte blanche to disclose still-secret material from the Russia investigation will let William Barr cherry-pick intelligence to paint a misleading picture about what started the probe.

The president claims his campaign was spied upon, though Trump administration officials have said they have no specific evidence that anything illegal was done when the campaign came under FBI surveillance that was approved by a court.

On Thursday, Trump gave Barr full authority to publicly disclose information about the origins of the investigation the president has repeatedly dismissed as a “hoax.”

“You have to get down to what happened because what happened is a tremendous blight on our country,” Trump said, adding that Barr is highly respected and will be impartial in reviewing documents.

Maine ends non-medical vaccine exemptions

Democratic Gov. Janet Mills on Friday signed into law a bill that eliminates religious and philosophical exemptions for vaccinations in Maine.

Maine has one of the highest rates of non-medical vaccine exemptions in the nation, and health officials say the opt-out rates appear to be rising.

"As we hear more reports of measles and other preventable diseases in Maine and across the country, it has become clear that we must act to ensure the health of our communities," said Democratic Rep. Ryan Tipping of Orono, the bill's sponsor.

Maine will end non-medical vaccine opt-outs by 2021 for students at public and private schools and universities, including nursery school.

Health care facility employees are also subject to the law.

SUPPORT HILLARY CLINTON FOR PRESIDENT IN 2020 & WE’LL HAVE REAL CHANGE!

Coming from this BLOG, that may seem like an oxymoron and a non-sequitur, but it is actually very logical. Hillary has already demonstrated that she can lose. Not only that, but she has so many skeletons in her closet, they would have to come out – at least some of them, and as such, that would be sufficient to expose her perfidiousness and cause her to lose again. So, support Hillary Clinton for President in 2020, but vote for anyone else but her.

Rep. Adam Schiff Receives Backlash After Calling AG Barr Investigation ‘Un-American’

Rep. Adam Schiff (D-Calif.) has attracted widespread criticism for his recent comments where he described the Justice Department’s probe into the origins of the Russia investigation as “un-American,” following President Donald Trump’s announcement to declassify documents pertaining to surveillance activities during the 2016 Presidential election.

On May 23, Schiff wrote on Twitter: “While Trump stonewalls the public from learning the truth about his obstruction of justice, Trump and Barr conspire to weaponize law enforcement and classified information against their political enemies.”

“The coverup has entered a new and dangerous phase. This is un-American,” he added.

44 Things You Should Know About The Green New Deal

By Jon Miltimore

On Feb. 7, US Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez and US Sen. Ed Markey introduced legislation known as the Green New Deal. You’ve probably heard of it. It’s a big deal, to paraphrase Joe Biden.
The History of New Deals

Wikipedia, the Internet’s fountain of knowledge, describes the legislation as “a proposed stimulus package that aims to address climate change and economic inequality.” Okay. But what is that?

If the term “new deal” sounds familiar, it should. It’s a reference to FDR’s New Deal, which was itself a play off of Teddy Roosevelt’s Square Deal. (Politicians don’t win extra points for originality.)...

Scott Adams: Slaughtermeter Reset to Zero Due to Social Media Manipulation, Pelosi

Comments at: https://twitter.com/ScottAdamsSays/status/1131923144522919936

Some people undiscussible…I can’t even mention their names
Doing so, risks suspension, banning, demonetizing, censorship
Am I being Shadowbanned on Twitter?

How is this not colluding with America’s enemies?

Imagine, for a moment, what the political reaction would be if a leading Republican senator met with an antagonistic foreign power, say Russia, in the midst of high-tension standoff between President Joe Biden and Vladimir Putin?

Such a scenario seems nearly inconceivable. Yet, it’s exactly the situation Sen. Dianne Feinstein created when hosting Iranian Foreign Minister Javad Zarif for dinner a few weeks ago.

Politico reported on the meeting, noting that it was “a bit unusual” for a former chair of the Intelligence Committee and a member of the Senate minority to dine out with the acting foreign minister of an adversary of the United States. And by “unusual,” Politico meant completely unprecedented.

Actually, my imaginary set-up doesn’t really do the Feinstein dinner justice. Iran isn’t merely a rival of the United States — like, say, Russia — but a violent and active enemy.

Judge who upheld Trump subpoena donated to Dems on committee seeking the records

The New York federal judge who ruled on Wednesday that the Trump administration must comply with two subpoenas from the House Financial Services and Intelligence Committees has donated in the past to a slew of big-name Democrats -- including two who currently sit on those committees, according to federal election filings.

After an hour of oral arguments, Barack Obama-appointed U.S. District Judge Edgardo Ramos ruled the subpoenas to Deutsche Bank and Capital One have "a legitimate legislative purpose," and that Trump was unlikely to prevail in a lawsuit to quash the requests. Judges have the option to recuse themselves if there is an appearance of bias.

Cory Booker proposes creating special White House office to promote abortion

As the numerous Democrats vying for the party’s 2020 presidential nomination compete to stake out the most pro-abortion position possible, Sen. Cory Booker of New Jersey has pledged to create a White House office exclusively dedicated to protecting so-called abortion “rights.”

Booker laid out a comprehensive pro-abortion plan Wednesday in a Medium post pledging to hold a pro-Roe v. Wade litmus test for judicial nominees, support codifying a “right” to abortion in federal legislation, repeal the Hyde Amendment restricting taxpayer funding of abortion, and reverse numerous pro-life executive actions taken by President Donald Trump. But the most unique element of his plan was the creation of a “White House Office of Reproductive Freedom.”

Trump moves to escalate investigation of intel agencies

President Donald Trump on Thursday granted Attorney General William Barr new powers to review and potentially release classified information related to the origins of the Russia investigation, a move aimed at accelerating Barr’s inquiry into whether U.S. officials improperly surveilled Trump’s 2016 campaign.

Trump directed the intelligence community to “quickly and fully cooperate” with Barr’s probe. The directive marked an escalation in Trump’s efforts to “investigate the investigators,” as he continues to try to undermine the findings of special counsel Robert Mueller’s probe amid mounting Democratic calls for impeachment proceedings.

First Batch of Declassification to Include ‘Bucket 5’ – FBI Docs Exonerating Papadopoulos and Carter Page

President Trump on Thursday evening announced that at the recommendation of Attorney General Bill Barr, he has directed the Intel Community to quickly and fully cooperate with Barr’s investigation into surveillance activities.

President Trump ordered declassification of the intelligence related to the spying on his presidential campaign in 2016.

Webmaster's Commentary:

This why the timing on Telly yesterday, featuring the Puddling Pel (as in the Nancy) who went ballistic, accusing Trump of a cover-up, and wanting for Congress to impeach him, only to be later exonerated in the Senate.

As these revelations drip-drip-drip into the American consciousness, Americans will realize who the real criminals were in Russiagate.

Now, having said that, there are many things President Trump has done, with which I have not agreed, such as withdrawing the US from the P5+1 deal with Iran; and I am hoping that the guy doesn't have this country on a path to nuclear armageddon with either Russia or China; but that being said, I firmly believe that this information will give my brother and sister Americans, a taste of the excrement sandwich the Demonocrats have been attempting to force down our collective throats, and decide that they no longer deserve the honor of representing the people of this country.

Women & unborn kids victimized as Dems and Reps weaponize abortion

It’s a recipe for social disaster. Democrats push for late-term abortions as Republicans move to ban abortions, even in cases of rape and incest. The victims of this political circus are women and unborn babies.

Rekindled interest in abortion legislation is a clear reminder that the 2020 presidential elections are bearing down on the United States like a veritable tornado, with all of the expected fallout and damage.

On one side of the ramparts we have liberals, fervent believers in the idea that nobody – least of all members of the hirsute patriarchal tribe – should have the right to tell women what they can and cannot do with their bodies. That argument is defensible, but only up to a point.

Trump gives AG Barr authority to declassify documents related to 2016 campaign surveillance

President Trump on Thursday night issued a memo giving Attorney General William Barr the authority to declassify any documents related to surveillance of the Trump campaign in 2016.

Trump also ordered the intelligence community to cooperate with Barr. The memo read: "The heads of elements of the intelligence community... and the heads of each department or agency that includes an element of the intelligence community shall promptly provide such assistance and information as the Attorney General may request in connection with that review."

Barack Obama has 'delayed his book release until the 2020 election because he wants to outsell Michelle' and 'brags that he isn't using a ghostwriter like his wife'

Barack Obama is keen to outdo the success of his wife's 2018 book with his forthcoming release from Penguin Random House.

Publishers hoped to get the former US President's memoir out this year but it's reported the so far unnamed book will be held back until 2020 when the presidential election buzz is at its height.

The Atlantic reported that Obama is feeling especially competitive after Michelle's Becoming memoir was the biggest of last year and could become the best-selling autobiography ever after shifting 10 million copies.

Anonymous sources who claim to have spoken to Obama about his memoir in the works told the publication 'he'll occasionally point out in conversation that he's writing this book himself, while Michelle used a ghostwriter'.

Senate Republicans Banned Earmarks — Permanently

Senate Republicans adopted a permanent ban on earmarks Thursday, signaling to Democrats the oft-criticized practice won’t be tolerated so long as Republicans control the chamber.

Republicans passed the permanent ban at the urging of Nebraska Republican Sen. Ben Sasse, who argued the GOP’s current policy, continually reinstating a two-year ban that has existed since 2011, was insufficient. The new policy, adopted with a 28-12 vote, effectively falls on both chambers of Congress, as any earmarked bills arising in the House of Representative would die in the Senate.

“The last thing taxpayers need is for the same politicians who racked up a $22 trillion national debt to go on an earmark binge,” Sasse said in a statement. “It’s pretty simple: Earmarks are a crummy way to govern and they have no business in Congress. Backroom deals, kickbacks, and earmarks feed a culture of constant incumbency and that’s poisonous to healthy self-government.”

WikiLeaks founder and former editor Julian Assange has been charged under The Espionage Act on 17 new counts in a superseding indictment for his role in obtaining and publishing classified military and diplomatic documents prior to his extradition hearing on May 30th, Reuters reported.
