Watch: Pro 2nd Amendment Lawmaker Slammed For Gun-Themed Christmas Card

Social media discussed on Saturday if Rep. Thomas Massie of Kentucky is on the good or bad this Christmas, due to a new holiday photo he shared.

The Kentucky representative posted on Twitter a picture of him and what seems to be his family in front of a Christmas tree, with all seven of them carrying guns.

"Merry Christmas!" Massie wrote on social media. "ps. Santa, please bring ammo."

Webmaster's Commentary:

Looking at the photo, nobody has a finger on a trigger, telling me they know the proper way to handle those firearms.

Canadian gun owners may have firearms confiscated under Trudeau ‘mandatory buyback’ plan

Canada’s Governor General reaffirmed the Liberal Party’s aim of confiscating “assault-style” weapons from citizens, as well as their intentions to work with provinces who wish to ban handguns.

In her 2021 Speech from the Throne on November 23, Governor General of Canada Mary Simon, the Queen’s representative, restated the Liberal Party’s plan to confiscate so-called “assault-style” weapons from law-abiding citizens through a mandatory buyback program, as well as aiding provincial and territorial governments in their efforts to revoke the ownership of handguns. The speech opened the first session of the 44th Parliament.

“Gun violence is on the rise in many of our biggest cities, while investing in prevention and supporting the work of law enforcement, we must also continue to strengthen gun control,” Simon stated.

Webmaster's Commentary:

"Thank you for turning in your guns. Here's a box of maple sugar candy in exchange!"

The Right of Self Defense

On August 27th of 2020, the online site Revolver wrote the following; “In a surprising turn of events, the New York Times has done some actual, real investigative reporting and confirmed Revolver’s conclusion that the Kyle Rittenhouse shooting is an open-and-shut case of self-defense. Shockingly, the evidence turned up by the New York Times actually strengthens the case for self-defense.”

Despite the protests, the propaganda, deceit, and the outright lies, a jury of his peers agreed that Kyle Rittenhouse acted in self-defense. I am sure that there were many thoughts as to the ramifications of a not guilty verdict that played heavy on the minds of the jurors, but they delivered a verdict that should never have been in question. Instead, the propagandist in the media and government doubled-down on their lust for more blood and suffering. The congressman from New York, Jerald Nadler, has called for the DOJ to investigate the matter.

Behar: First, Second Amendments Need to Be ‘Tweaked’ — Founding Fathers Didn’t Have Weapons of War or Twitter

Joy Behar told her co-hosts Tuesday on ABC’s “The View” that the First and Second Amendments to the U.S. Constitution need to be “tweaked” to address “weapons of war” and Twitter.

While discussing Twitter, Whoopi Goldberg said, “I am going to just go the easy route, don’t read it. Don’t read it because it is meant to do exactly what it does to people. It is meant to make you think you don’t know yourself. It is meant to make you believe that these people who have the — what do you call it? The concrete courage in the bunker.”

Co-host Sara Haines said, “Keyboard courage in mama’s basement.”

Goldberg said, “The real question is, why do we take your word for something you don’t know anything about, me? Why am I taking your word that I’m all these things when you don’t know me? I’m not looking at you.”

Even more leftists b*tching : Rittenhouse Got Off On “Technicality”

That ain’t a technicality by any stretch of the imagination. -- Getting off on a technicality is charges being thrown out because the address on a warrant was misspelled or something. Rittenhouse was cleared of all charges in a court of law. -- And he didn’t shoot three people at a “racial justice protest.” It was a damn riot, for crying out loud. How is it so hard for the leftist media to acknowledge that reality? -- Of course, if they did, people might wonder if maybe Rittenhouse’s life actually was in danger or not.

The 50 Best Guns Ever Made

There are a number of ways a gun could make this list: The first was to change the course of firearms design. The Remington Nylon 66 made synthetic stocks not only acceptable but desirable, and the Smith & Wesson Model 29 altered our concept of what a handgun could do. Other factors: longevity (the Mosin-Nagant), sheer excellence (the Purdey self-opener), and general-horribleness-but-still-works-like-a-son-of-a-bitch (the Mossberg 500). This list is not compiled in order of greatness. It’s simply the top 50 choices in no kind of order at all. Anyone who would tell you that a Weatherby Mark V is “greater” than an A.H. Fox would teach his grandmother to suck eggs. In any event, enjoy, and when you e-mail to inform us we’re a couple of ignorant swine, check your spelling and punctuation. —D.E.P.

The Left is Going Loco Over the Rittenhouse Verdict

Just seconds after a Kenosha jury of five men and seven women found that Kyle Rittenhouse used his AR as it was intended, for self-defense, the anti-gun zealots went bonkers – crying, wailing and gnashing their teeth – nearly apoplectic with rage and disbelief. -- When the other side is screaming, babbling incoherently and imploding on the national stage, it’s best to just leave them alone. Pop some corn, sit back and enjoy the show. Sun Tzu said that, probably.

Now We Know There are Armed Good Guys on Our Streets

The mainstream news media sells shock and revulsion to keep us watching through their many advertisements. Politicians lie to us so we will vote for them. Both have told us that guns are frighteningly dangerous and that we’d be safer if more honest citizens were disarmed. We’re tempted to believe them if that is all we know. Now, we have data that calls their story into question. We confirmed something we’d long suspected about good men and women who legally carry personal firearms in public. Now we know that concealed carry and armed defense are common.

Note To Biden: Gun Stores Aren’t Responsible For Veteran Suicides

Suicide is a serious problem, but it’s especially problematic among veterans. Many of the brave men and women who fought for our nation and survived find they can’t seem to make it through peace quite as well, so they claim their own lives. -- Few people don’t see this as a significant issue. The problem is that we rarely agree on how to address it. -- After all, we live in a world where President Joe Biden seems to blame gun stores for those veteran suicides.

Break-in Illustrates Why No-Knock Raids A Bad Idea

I don’t think any law officer, peace officer, lawyer, judge, shoemaker, barber, or candlestickmaker can convince me that no-knock raids are justified in this light. Our homes are “the most protected place[s]” we can be and I’d like for some lawman to explain to me why we’re supposed to take someone’s word that they’re the police when being invaded. Or is it that the criminals should just know that they’re “bad guys” and that things like this just come with the territory? As if there has never been a case of mistaken identity on what homes get busted into by the police. On that note, I’ll just leave these here:

Article Raises A Good Point About “Mass Shootings”

Their reporting is not consistent with the way the FBI categorizes so-called mass shootings. Biden Using Veteran Suicides As Sick Pretext to Target Gun Dealers

As difficult as it is to accept this loss, it is far more difficult to believe anyone would use these deaths to help sell their political agenda, but that is exactly what Joe Biden is doing. -- The Biden-Harris administration is using veteran suicides to garner public support for their war on gun dealers, whom they blame for skyrocketing violent crime rates in cities historically controlled by Democrats.

Bill Introduced To Expand List Of Disqualifiers

We have enough laws on the books as it is. As cliché as it sounds, why don’t we start enforcing the ones we have and consider tossing out the ones that are ineffectual. As far as “gun control” laws that are ineffectual, to put that into perspective, that’d be most of them. While we waste our time away debating which infringements, if any, are acceptable on the Second Amendment, we also need to remain aware of these seemingly innocent proposals which are ripe for prosecutorial abuse. Well hopefully, Officer Smiley shows up alongside an ambulance… they remove the garbage from your living room floor… and you show up on the next day’s news as the “hero of the day”.

Except sometimes they put YOU in jail instead!

Is The Rittenhouse Verdict Exactly What Progressives Wanted?

Looking at the Rittenhouse case, many have said it was not Rittenhouse that was standing trial. What was standing trial was the concept of self-defense. The eddies, waves, and currents are going to continue through progressive disinformation and temper tantrums. The Rittenhouse verdict is exactly what they wanted. It allows them to fuel the fire and convert opinion to alleged Gospel. It’s going to backfire though. After all, we do have rights, and they’re on our side. Cut through all the noise and garbage and ask “Do we have a right to self-defend?” And that answer is a big “yes!”

Tools In The Service Of Tyranny

What does a virus, a Marxist movement, and bans on firearms have in common? Nothing, superficially. Delving deeper, they are tools of federal oppression.

An obvious common element of the three tools is the fear they engender: of infectious death; of unchecked rioting and looting; and of gun violence. These dangers are in fact greatly exaggerated or fabricated altogether.

Stanford economist Paul Romer is credited with first saying, “a crisis is a terrible thing to waste.”

Washington has taken this idea to heart.

Yet Another Poll Shows Plunging Support For Gun Control!

Last week, a Morning Consult/POLITICO poll showed Republicans with a nearly double-digit advantage over Democrats on the issue of “gun policy.” This week, Gallup released a poll showing a 15-point drop in support of new gun laws since 2018, and now Quinnipiac has released its own survey that details a sharp decline in those backing restrictions on the right to keep and bear arms. -- Clearly we’re not talking about a statistical blip or an outlier poll here. Take the specific numbers with as much skepticism as you’d like, but the trend is obvious; more Americans are turning their back on the gun control lobby’s ideology and embracing their Second Amendment rights.

Therefore, the age cutoff proposed by the St. Louis Post-Dispatch Editorial Board is too low using their own brain research rationale. Doubling Down on Victim Blaming

The murder trial of young Kyle Rittenhouse, the only noteworthy prosecution to come out of the 2020 Kenosha riots, has become a surrogate for a war that the American Left has long tried to keep under the radar: the war against the concept of self-defense.

The Left finds itself in a quandary. They cannot say “you have no right to self-defense” in so many words. They must get there in another way, a roundabout way, but one in keeping with their longstanding effort to defang America’s police departments. Create technicality acquittals, and erect restrictive rules of engagement for police. Build red-tape barriers to keep private security guards from being armed and trained. Overrule the castle doctrine in the courtroom. Build in so many restrictions to self-defense that it becomes a toothless defense.

Was Rittenhouse’s Possession of the AR-15 Unlawful?

In covering the motions hearing last week in the trial of Kyle Rittenhouse, I noted a surprising comment from Judge Bruce Schroeder that he had “spent hours” with the Wisconsin gun law and could not state with certainty what it means in this case. The statement could effectively knock out the misdemeanor gun possession count — the one count that could still be in play for the jury after the prosecution’s case on the more serious offense appeared to collapse in court. A close examination of that provision reveals ample reason to question not just its meaning but its application to this case.

The unlawful possession of the gun has been a prominent fact cited not only by the prosecutors but the press.

The Supreme Court’s Latest Gun Case Made a Mockery of Originalism

Last week, the Supreme Court heard oral arguments in New York State Rifle & Pistol Association Inc. v. Bruen, the case that will decide the future of concealed carry in the United States. Following those arguments, it has become crystal clear that the conservative wing of the Supreme Court is once again determined to apply originalism in a selective fashion to achieve its preferred political outcomes. The court appears to be perfectly happy to trot out originalist rhetoric when it serves its interests and abandon it entirely when the historical record does not support its political goals.

MAJOR Gun Manufacturer Says Goodbye To Liberal State

Gunmaker Remington Firearms will relocate its headquarters from Ilion, New York, to Georgia, with designs to open a factory and research operation there.

The company announced Monday that it would spend $100 million in the operation in LaGrange, Georgia, southwest of Atlanta, employing 856 people over five years.

It was not instantly clear what effect the transfer would have on Remington's New York and Tennessee factories. Remington owns parts of the former Remington Outdoor Co. which makes rifles, shotguns, and some handguns. The parent company auctioned its assets in pieces last year during a bankruptcy proceeding in Alabama.

National Firearm Registry? Might Be Closer Than You Think

Recently, an internal ATF document was released showing some very interesting statistics. The most significant statistic is that in 2021, the ATF processed 54.7 million Out-of-Business records. The records they are referring to, of course, is Form 4473.

The 4473 is the physical form that records the firearm information; make, model, serial number, type, caliber, and information for those unfamiliar with firearm paperwork. It essentially ties a name to the firearm as it was transferred to an individual from a licensed dealer, sometimes referred to as an FFL.

The 4473 also has personal information on it. It has name, birthdate, current address, birthplace, height, weight, and driver’s license number. Some even opt to give their social security number so that their NICS check goes faster. Speaking of NICS checks, let us clear up another misconception. The firearm information does not get entered during the NICS check. No system associates specific firearms with individuals… yet.

Gun Control Dooms Dems In Securing Rural Votes

I don't know about you, but though I'm a conservative (or at least conservatarian), I'd love to actually have an election where it was difficult to choose between the two major parties. Since the Second Amendment is by far the most important factor in my vote, however, it's been really easy to decide where my vote is gonna go. But based on the absolute ass-kicking delivered to the Democrats last Tuesday in my home state of Virginia, you'd think they'd get the message that maybe it's time to move on from their goals of disarming American citizens. Based on the reaction so far, though the Democrats are in deep denial or simply unwilling to waiver on their commitment to denying Americans their Second Amendment rights, and disparaging those who exercise them.

AP Refers to Gaige Grosskreutz As A 'Shooting Victim' Who 'Was Pointing His Gun At Rittenhouse'

The media's coverage of the Rittenhouse trial is downright comical.

The Associated Press on Monday responded to news of Gaige Grosskreutz's bombshell admission that he "pointed" his gun at Rittenhouse and "advanced on him" before getting shot by running the headline, "Shooting victim says he was pointing his gun at Rittenhouse."

Meanwhile, CNBC is referring to Grosskreutz as a "Rittenhouse survivor."

Rittenhouse Prosecutor Facepalms After Star Witness Admits He 'Pointed' Gun At Kyle And 'Advanced On Him' Before Getting Shot

Leftist protester Gaige Grosskreutz admitted under cross-examination on Monday that it wasn't until he "pointed" his gun at Kyle Rittenhouse and "advanced on him" that Rittenhouse shot him in the arm.

Grosskreutz's stunning admission led the regime's prosecutor to bury his face in his hand.

Supreme Court signals it’s likely to bolster the right to carry a concealed gun in public

The Supreme Court’s justices, citing the right to bear arms in the 2nd Amendment, sounded ready Wednesday to strike down laws in New York and California that deny most gun owners permits to carry concealed guns in public.

Most of the justices said people who live in “high-crime areas” and fear for their safety should be allowed to carry a gun for self-defense. And they said this applies equally to people who live in cities as well as in rural areas.

“Think about people who work late at night in Manhattan,” said Justice Samuel A. Alito Jr. “It might be somebody who cleans offices. It might be a doorman at an apartment. It might be a nurse or an orderly [or] somebody who washes dishes” who is “scared to death” to head home. “How is it consistent with the core right to self-defense” to deny that person the right to have a gun with them? he asked.

The NRA had a very good day in the Supreme Court

The biggest surprise in Wednesday morning’s arguments in New York State Rifle & Pistol Association Inc. (NYSRPA) v. Bruen, a major Second Amendment case before the Supreme Court, is that conservative Justice Amy Coney Barrett appeared open to many of New York state’s arguments defending its restrictions on where individuals may carry a gun.

Even if Barrett does side with New York, however, her vote is unlikely to matter. Four justices — Clarence Thomas, Samuel Alito, Neil Gorsuch, and Brett Kavanaugh — left little doubt that they will read the Second Amendment expansively. And, while Chief Justice John Roberts appeared to disagree with most of his fellow conservatives about how the Court should approach Second Amendment cases, his disagreement appears to be largely academic. He also appears likely to strike down New York’s law.

Senators push Justice Department to crack down on illegal gun modifications

They're cheap, easy to produce and can make guns more dangerous in minutes.

Gun modifications are becoming a problem for the country as the number of shooting incidents linked to automatic weapons is on the rise, according to two U.S. senators.

Sens. Amy Klobuchar (D-Minn.) and Cory Booker (D-N.J.) are pushing the federal government to take action and sent a letter to U.S. Attorney General Merrick Garland last week voicing their concerns.

MORE: The type of gun used in most US homicides is not an AR-15
Specifically, they are looking for the Department of Justice to investigate the sale and distribution of "auto sears" and other conversion devices. When an auto sear is installed into a semi-automatic firearm, the weapon will fire multiple rounds as long as the trigger is pulled instead of just one round.

Webmaster's Commentary:

This is another case of politicians not knowing what they talk about. Auto sears are already illegal.

Biden Gang Reportedly Running Secret Lists Used to Prevent Outspoken Political Opponents from Owning Guns – Laura Loomer Speaks Out on This Injustice

Representative Paul Gosar accused Biden’s government of maintaining two secret lists that it uses to strip its enemies of their constitutional rights. These enemies, like activist and congressional candidate Laura Loomer, are those Americans who love God, their country, and freedom.

Representative Paul Gosar (R-AZ) released a letter this week he sent to Biden’s corrupt Attorney General Merrick Garland addressing the secret lists he has put in place illegally and unconstitutionally.

White House announces new veteran suicide project: gun control and more

President Joe Biden’s White House on Tuesday released a new strategy aimed at reducing the “public health and national security crisis” of military and veteran suicide. The approach includes gun control messaging through “safe storage” of firearms.

As part of the new approach, the Departments of Defense (DOD), Health and Human Services (HHS), Homeland Security (DHS), Justice (DOJ), and Veterans Affairs (VA), as well as the Office of Emergency Medical Services within the Department of Transportation (DOT), will work to create and implement improved “Lethal Means Safety.”

Webmaster's Commentary:

This is a first step. Obviously, a veteran intent on suicide can open their safe to get the firearm. The next step (when the first one obviously does not work) is to strip all veterans of their guns "for their own good." Of course, nobody is asking what the US Government put these people through to make them suicidal in the first place!

REPORT: ATF, FBI Are Snooping on More than 1,000 Lawful Gun Owners

Many Second Amendment advocates of the no-compromise persuasion have long warned about the dangers of the federal gun control bureaucracy and the threat it poses to the civil liberties of many gun owners.

Websites like AmmoLand News have served as watchdogs against the ATF’s long list of abuses. Back in April, they were able to acquire a leak from the ATF demonstrating that the agency was surveilling people’s firearms transactions.

John Crump of AmmoLand wrote a recent piece demonstrating that this wasn’t just any broad-based surveillance of gun owners, but of individuals who could perhaps “commit a crime in the future. Using the National Instant Criminal Background Check System (NICS) the ATF kept tabs on over 1,000 American citizens.”

Starting November 1, the process for obtaining a firearm license in the United Kingdom is set to get harder and more invasive. On October 20, the Tory government issued new “statutory guidance” relating to firearm licensing and announced that “No one will be given a firearms license unless the police have reviewed information from a registered doctor setting out whether or not the applicant has any relevant medical history…” Extending beyond a medical veto on firearms licenses, the UK Home Office also announced guidance encouraging law enforcement to delve into an applicant’s social media and financial history when making license determinations.

Gun Control May Hurt Florida Democrats In 2022

For the last several years, gun rights proponents have had to play defense. Our wins have been when laws get blocked or overturned by the courts, at least at the federal level. Those who support gun control have had all the momentum, though they haven’t really been able to capitalize on it, thankfully. -- Now, there’s some speculation that their assault on the Second Amendment may be about to bite them in their posteriors.

ATF Delays Another Public Information Release That Would Prove Biden Lied

However, we all know what the ATF will find: nothing. There will be a mere handful of arrests, out of the approximately 60,000 licensed gun dealers currently operating throughout the country. -- The reason? Federally licensed firearms dealers are a law-abiding bunch. They’re not going to suddenly go rogue and start selling guns to prohibited folks. Biden knows this. The ATF knows this. All they need to do is fork over the data and the public can know this too. Instead, the ATF is going to make things difficult and delay the process, at least according to an email they sent last week.

Rare Breed Triggers Accused Of Creating "Machine Gun" Loses First Court Battle With ATF

Florida company Rare Breed Trigger, LLC manufactures a drop-in trigger that makes an AR-15 semi-automatic rifle cycle rounds faster lost its first court battle with the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives (ATF), according to Orlando-based news outlet WFTV. This means the company must halt all sales of its FRT-15 trigger while it waits for trial.

On July 26, the ATF sent a letter to Rare Breed stating the FRT-15 trigger has been classified as a machine gun under the National Firearms Act, and the company must cease all sales or face fines and jail time.

In early August, Lawrence DeMonico, president of Rare Breed, sued the ATF after the agency said the drop-in trigger converted the semi-automatic weapon into a "machinegun," capable of firing more than one bullet per trigger pull. He said the ATF's claim is preposterous as the trigger must entirely cycle before the next round is fired.

FBI Uniform Crime Report Should Have Everyone Up In Arms

Right. Well, the alarming number of increase in murders has not escaped the watchful eyes of the Citizen’s Committee for the Right to Keep and Bear Arms. From a recent press release we’re confronted with more startling statistics. Not only are they noting the same uniform rise in murder, they do break down the number of murders due to firearms. This is relevant as Washington had in recent years implemented more so-called “gun control” laws which presumably had no effect on murders.

USA TODAY Joins Bloomberg’s Anti-Gun Propaganda

For USA TODAY, this is nothing new. It’s all part of an incestuous partnership the newspaper has with the Trace – the propaganda arm of billionaire Michael Bloomberg’s anti-gun empire. -- The Trace describes itself as the “only newsroom dedicated to reporting on gun violence.” It has slick digital packages that are chockfull of stories, photos and videos, so it’s easy to confuse the Trace with an actual news website. But a news site it is not. The Trace supplies propaganda for Bloomberg’s other anti-gun groups, which include Everytown for Gun Safety and Moms Demand Action, as well as any members of the media willing to cut and paste their stories.

Why The Left’s Culture War Mode May Hurt Them

Gun rights and gun control probably shouldn’t be part of the culture war, but it is. As a result, it’s part of a lot of discussions it probably shouldn’t be part of. -- Yet in this day and age, it feels like everything is part of those discussions. -- Democrats, firmly on a different side of said culture war than yours truly, have decided to push hard for a number of things such as gun control. In their collective mind, anything less than gun control is unacceptable.

Days After Cops Raid Home, 3D Gun Legend “JStark” Found Dead of “Heart Attack” at 28

The 3D gun pioneer, who invented the rapid-fire 3D-printed gun that could be entirely printed at home, “JStark” has died, according to German magazine Der Spiegel. He passed away in his home, according to the magazine, of a heart attack. He was just 28 years old.

After his invention of the FGC-9 in 2020, JStark became a well-cherished internet hero and news of his death is sending shockwaves through his popular channels. According to Der Spiegel, JStark died on Friday, October 8 of a heart attack.

The magazine reports that it “appears” his death was natural and police ruled out foul play. Adding to the suspicious nature of a 28-year-old man, who appeared to be in good health, dying of a heart attack, however, is the fact that days before he died, on October 6, police raided his home.

Only A Well-Armed Citizenry Can Effectively Resist Tyranny via Treason

Does the import of the Treason clause the founders wrote into the Constitution extend to the imposition of tyranny on the people? If so, then tyranny amounts to levying war against the people. This means that the levying of war against the people is no less an act of betrayal, i.e. no less an act of treachery against the people, and, therefore, no less treason committed by the Government upon its own people, than is an unlawful levying of war by the people against Government.

Would Any Set Of Data Make Me Favor Gun Control?

Freedom is messy. It’s chaotic. It’s so chaotic that I don’t want to live in a country without any government to speak of, but the bounds of that government need to be clear and those established lines protected. Our Founding Fathers looked at government as a kind of necessary evil, and I share that view.

Intruders No Match For Armed Homeowners

Crime isn’t the worst that it’s ever been in the United States, but since the riots and unrest erupted in dozens of cities last summer, we’ve been heading in the wrong direction at breakneck speed. Break-ins and home invasions are becoming more common in many communities, and I hope that these three individuals who were able to protect themselves from those who wanted to do them harm prompt more Americans to think seriously about their own personal safety and their right of armed self-defense.

Biden Banking Proposal Would Be Bad News For Gun Owners

While there’s been an awful lot of discussion about Joe Biden’s multi-trillion dollar reconciliation bill recently, most of the debate that I’ve seen has surrounded the potential cost, as opposed to what Biden and his fellow Democrats are hoping to do with all that cash. One proposal that’s starting to get some attention, however, is Biden’s plan to require banks to report all consumer transactions of more than $600. According to the White House, this would help the IRS crack down on tax cheats, but as Larry Keane of the National Shooting Sports Foundation writes, the plan would also allow the Biden administration to keep track of gun buyers.

Violence Against Women Act Will Allow Non-Romantic Relationships to Trigger Red Flag Gun Confiscation

The Violence Against Women Act of 2021 (VAWA), which passed the House in the Spring and could now be taken up by the Senate, contains a red flag provision applying even to those involved in non-romantic relationships.

The Los Angeles Times reported the VAWA, which passed the House in March, contained language to expand federal domestic partner laws to include boyfriends and dating partners. The expansion allows the inclusion of gun bans for boyfriends with a domestic violence conviction and also “expands the prohibition to current and former dating partners, as well as those convicted of misdemeanor stalking.”

The prohibitive language was part of a provision drafted by Rep. Debbie Dingell (D-MI), who told the Times, “I’m not trying to take guns away from most people, but if someone’s demonstrated that they could abuse somebody, then we need to do something to prevent violence.”

The older generation of Americans who grew up in a time when many people still lived on farms. Unlike this generation, which seems determined to denigrate the roles of men and fathers, many Americans had dads who taught their sons and daughters the proper use of shotguns and rifles, and how to shoot. We were all expected to learn how to shoot a firearm. After the Second World War and Korea and amidst the threat of Soviet totalitarianism, Americans were taught to defend their families, and their country. Liberty, self-armament, patriotism, and citizenship were inextricably bound.

Video Shows Barry Washington Was Shot While Assaulting Ian Cranston 'Without Provocation'

"Indisputable" video evidence shows Barry Washington "assaulted [Ian Cranston] without provocation, resulting in head injuries that required the police to take [him] to the hospital where a brain scan and other procedures had to be performed," Cranston's attorney reports.

The media is hiding video showing Barry Washington assaulting Ian Cranston and his girlfriend outside a bar last month in Oregon before getting shot and using a picture of Cranston after his black eye started to heal to imply he was the aggressor.

CNN not only hid the top-left image showing Cranston's black eye but also chose to darken the latest image released by the local sheriff's department where Cranston's eye had mostly healed in order to make him look more intimidating...

Elite News Media Can’t Stop Lying About Guns in America

The mainstream media lies to us. They feed us propaganda. They don’t want us to know that gun ownership is widespread and that armed defense is common. I was at a conference for minor-media this weekend. There, an associate talked about being turned away from most of his local news stations because “we don’t run pro-gun stories. No self-defense.” Let me show you where the propaganda starts at the top.

Shut up already : Anti-Gun ATF Nominee Chipman Will Not Go Quietly

Clearly, Chipman’s history of lobbying against the Second Amendment should have automatically disqualified him from heading ATF. His childish response of blaming others for being rejected should be proof that he also lacked the temperament to head a federal agency. Chipman being Chipman, we expect him to volunteer more evidence in the future that his failed nomination was the correct outcome for all who support our right to keep and bear arms.

Why The Supreme Court SHOULDN’T Care About Public Opinion

The Court’s popularity is neither here nor there. The Constitution fixed a lifetime appointment precisely so they could be immune to public opinion. The fact that they’ve been so concerned about it over the years is especially problematic. -- All the Supreme Court should concern itself with is whether a given law is constitutional or not.

Supreme Court pivots to abortion, guns, and death penalty as public approval slides

Facing an onslaught of political pressure tactics and plunging public approval, the U.S. Supreme Court on Monday sails into a new term set to decide some of the most divisive cases in decades on abortion, gun rights, the death penalty and religious freedom.

By the end of June 2022, the court's conservative majority has the potential to roll back 50 years of abortion rights precedent; declare a right to carry a handgun outside the home; bolster the death penalty; and, allow some American parents to use taxpayer funds for religious schools.

"This is not a court that has the opportunity to inch forward and tip toe around issues," said University of Chicago law professor and legal historian Farah Peterson. "We should all be watching these cases very closely because suddenly the court has new members interested in taking up issues of grave public concern."
